Really, the main takeaway of my first grade journal is that my teacher was very sweet and always made the class feel loved and consequently I adored him:
"2. I know the best teacher"
"The teacher is very, very, very strong"
"Mrs Clandy, the counselor, asked Mr Hanson to help Mrs Glover. He misses us a lot but Mrs Soto will take good care of us."
[In the context of the teacher needing a substitute to go attend a training] "Although he doesn't like missing our class, Mr. Hanson wants to learn to be a better teacher."
"Mr Hanson forget to change the calendar yesterday again. Forgive him, please!"
They're such little things but as a seven year old having a teacher joke around with you and own up to mistakes and say you're the best class and he misses you when he's out and that he wants to be a better teacher for you-- like that's food for a little kid's soul! It means a lot! Thank you Mr Hanson

Tell us more about Fitz and Teddy!
Fitz’s full name is Fitzpatrick! Clem chose it because he liked the clan’s tartan a lot. Clem also made his face, though Andy is the one that lost one of his button eyes.
He can see out of both eyes, though his right is stationary, so it’s harder for him to focus on something. He has to use peripheral vision a lot.
Fitz also used to stem when he was a baby/child by chewing the collar of his shirts. Andy would have to make a bunch of new shirts for him because he would chew holes or rips into them…
Teddy came along when Fitz was a little older, though he was still very attached to his parents. Teddy’s face was made by Andy this time and he used extra stuffing to make them super soft.
Teddy cries very much, they are just very emotional. Fitz becomes very sad for him whenever that happens, so he usually hugs them or rocks them to ease the feelings.
Fitz learns sign language when he’s older since he’s mostly mute. Aside from signing, he hums a lot and squeals sometimes when he’s excited! He is definitely a man of few words.
Once Teddy is older, they don’t cry nearly as much. They are a very positive person, much like Ann in character. They love to ask a lot of questions, which can really annoy those around them after a while. “Why do we not move around Marcella? Why are we so small? Why do birds fly? Why is the ocean near the shore?” It Can be a lot for Andy who doesn’t have much patience though Clem likes to think about philosophy…

Expressions of Fitz! I haven’t drawn him in a bit and wanted to brush up on him again
Despite not talking very much, he’s very expressive! He’s got a lot of feelings in his little stuffed head

hmmmm do the kids have favorite stims?
They do! Fitz flaps his hands, claps, and likes to jump and hum and squeal when he’s excited! Teddy rubs his head when he’s nervous or excited, sometimes he pulls the hair on the top of his head or rubs his cheek 👌

Y’know, whenever I see you draw Uncle Clem as a human I immediately think about how dad shaped he is. Like, he seems like your cool, lanky father that just genuinely wants the best for you and enjoys spending time with you
yes! clem does have one of those slim thick dad bods when he gets older. he was in military so he's jacked when he first meets andy and moves to america. but yea he is a great dad, he's a little weird but he genuinely loves his kids. fitz had a hard time understanding clem when he was younger since clem isn't the best communicator of feelings but warmed up to him for their shared interest in music and movies. teddy always really liked clem. clem always respected teddy for being really level headed, but he really wants them to learn more emotional strength.
