Gareth looked over to where Cledwyn was sitting, the later glaring slightly as Gareth blew him a kiss before getting up and leaving the room, but not before offering a small smirk and a few words "Find me when you feel like it, but just know I will not be available for you this weekend."

Cledwyn scoffed audibly as Gareth walked out the library, immediately being shushed by the librarian. Trying instead to focus on his Defence Against the Dark Arts assignment he had been trying to work on.

That was before Gareth Farr and his smirk once again managed to get under Cledwyn's skin.

"Fuck this." Cledwyn grumbled with a shake of his head, snapping the tome on werewolves closed. His chair shrieking against the library floor, not even bothering to put it back as he ignored the complaints of the librarian, aiming to catch up to Gareth as quickly as possible.

I’m doing a fifth watch-through of The Society (I just decided) and I need a focus as I watch. I did a regular watch, a Kelly’s the best watch, a Will’s the worst watch, and a Grizzam watch. What should the focus be this time?

Truly though Pathfinder 2e as a ttrpg is so satisfying with diversity. The book that just came out, Knights of Lastwall is just more of this.

Like hello one of the most famous knights is a nonbinary (she/her) human named Clarethe whose mom loves them and is also a badass knight.

Clarethe has a full page entry as an NPC. On the opposite page is Beirivelle (female human bard) who is trans, ran away from home rather than going through with an arranged marriage while being seen as a youngest son. Beirivelle also guides other girls and women like herself 😭

Like everything is so COOL AND FLESHED OUT.

That looks like the wheelchairs I've seen used in sports! I don't know a whole lot but I recognize where else I've seen it!

I know their clothing probably has that mask motif everywhere because the Alijae elves of the Mwangi Expanse carve ancestry masks which guard the oral history of their families!!! The one on their hip is probably that actual mask.

It's almost certainly inspired in part by the Benin Ivory mask depicting Idia, a Queen Mother and other African culture's masks. (bakongo, maybe?)

It's just really nice to open literally any Pathfinder 2e book and be subjected to awesome worldbuilding and diversity and good art and shit. Love it.

Hey Silver. I was on the TV tropes tearjerker page for FFVII remake and one part Talks about Aerith’s resolution and how Aerith tells Cloud that “you can’t fall in love with me” but Cloud’s expression pretty much says he has fallen in love with her and his feelings are requited by Aerith. I had to not laugh. While I do believe Cloud does care about Aerith he does have romantic feelings for her. His romantic feelings are for Tifa. Nothing on that page talks about Cloud’s love for Tifa which is canon. What is TV tropes run by rabid Clareths?

PS: Isn’t Cloud’s smile when he calls Tifa beautiful after she serves him the Cosmo Canyon adorable?

Walk me through your beautiful mind and tell me how you chose your love stories for your character.

Thanks for the ask! Warning: Long post ahead.

Okay so first, I played it safe with HPHM, putting them with canon characters.

David and Merula, I honestly loved the foil that MC and Merula are for each other in the main story of HPHM. However, it could have done with a lot more fleshing out, which is really what I wanted to do in creating their relationship.

Whether they're enemies or just rivals to lovers is up for debate but regardless I liked their at first very contentious relationship gradually developing into an admission of respect. It culminated in the two catching feelings for each other, Merula defending him and eventually the two dating. The rest as they say, is history.

Amelia and Chiara, now I tend to flip flop on this as I really do like the thought of Amelia travelling the world, taking down creature poaching operations and breaking hearts. On the other, I do like Amelia and Chiara meeting up again later in life and kindling an unspoken love for each other.

Phoenix and Erika, these two are the loosest as I haven't had much time to develop them. But, I like the thought of them being rivals to lovers, Phoenix being one of the few able to truly get under Erika's skin.

For everyone else, it's a little different, with a lack of knowledge or interest in the canon of HPHL and HPMA, I started going with OC x OC ships instead. I’m a great fan of the idea that shipping can be used to really help grow and develop both halves of the ship. So I cast my line into the great sea of OCs and see who bit first. Thus, I wound up with Leila, Gareth, Lydia (@rogueharrington), Asher  (@cursebreakerfarrier) and Hazel (@kc-and-co). Also, Valentina  (@camillejeaneshphm)

I love Reubeila being able to find a loving family in each other after experiencing a horrible home life. I love Clareth’s will they/won’t they yet there’s still a fierce sort of loyalty between them. I love Marilyd’s friendly rivalry that developed into friendship and then one of the most amazing romances. I love Asher and Robin’s angsty side that let Robin show a bit of softness in contrast to the loud, brash, goofy girl that she usually is. I love Nick and Hazel, I feel like it would make Nick more confident, and I adore the support they would have for the other’s ambitions. Luis, my Marauder’s era boy and his tragic romance with Valentina is also one of my favourites for the fact that they knew they loved each other but never quite got there.

But overall, what I really look for in a ship? Satisfaction, plain and simple. Whether they become life partners, strike out on their own or if the romance ends with a hint of tragedy, as long as it was a satisfying journey and conclusion, I’m okay with how any ship turns out.
