my DR mum :)

my mum in this DR is jocelyn fairchild. she's not my biological mother, but she was in fact married to my biological father for a time (prior to him marrying my biological mother), and is the bio mom of my two older half-siblings, clary and jon. she adopts me sometime after my bio siblings come to the demon realm to meet me, and she takes a liking to me and more or less adopts me as her own child. she and my DR dad were never in a relationship and they're just best buds :). she's married to luke garroway, who i refer to as my stepdad.

my relationship with her is really goofy. she's a really supportive and loving mom, but she's also kind of like one of my best friends. my friends all think she's absolutely iconic, and she loves getting to hear all the school drama. a lot of my friends who don't have moms think of her like a mom or an aunt figure, and she's more than happy to take on the role. she doesn't really like to stick around the whole time that my friends are over, since she's busy and has other things to do, but she'll definitely make a point to stick around so we know she cares <3.

she's still a shadowhunter and a sculptor in the human realm, up until she moves in with us in the demon realm. at that point she continues to be a shadowhunter and travels back and forth between the human realm (idris, for clave meetings) and the demon realm (to be with us). when she moves to the demon realm, she and her husband, luke, take up potion-brewing and sell basic brews at the night market.
