the fact that the israeli construction industry was dependent on cheap palestinian labor and is currently at a standstill is one of those facts that learning it just makes you want to scream in frustration. there isn't any especially unique historical circumstance at work here. it's all always the same material incentives all the way down, for which the ideological justification (whatever its origin) is now just a fig leaf for a profitable status quo.

Just realized all these years later as I scrolled down memory lane that @mirthandstar never posted their truly gorgeous commission they did for me. I hope you're doing well out there. Thank you for my old men, I do infact look at them everyday.

Thinking about Caleb “I-use-people’s-full-names-to-show-intimacy” Widogast and the way he calls Veth “Veth the Brave.” It’s not all the time—it’s rarely used, actually, saved for specific moments, only when he’s using the fondest of tones, with the most admiration, and how calling her that is more intimate than just “Veth Brenatto.” Because Veth the Brave is both of her identities. It’s Nott and it’s Veth, it’s their co-mingling, it’s her in her entirety. Veth the Brave. That’s why it’s so intimate, because he is speaking to all of who she is

post photos of the keyboard. yeah ofc a scalpel would break off if youre just prying something open omg just stabbing it
Yeah because it's a type of keyboard you have to pry open, it doesn't have any screws, the manual literally says to stick something thin in-between casing to pop it open
Those little white spots in the side are clips you have to flip up, a flathead is too large and you have to have special tools to do it. A craft scalpel is the only thing I had on-hand similar enough to try and save it before the water corrosion set in

All things are impermanent. That is to say, they change by themselves. So you don’t need to change them!
