Task 002: About the Mun
Name/Alias: Caspian but I’m good with being called Cas, bowsie, or junior
Pronouns: He/Him but I’m cool with They/Them
Which characters do you write currently?: Ferris Calhoun-Fixowitz, Willie Pride-Peep, Cillian Frollo and CJ Hook
What got you into Descendants?: I’ve always liked the idea of continuing fairytale legacies? Before Descendants I was very into Ever After High and Regal Academy.
Favorite color: Baby blue forever babeyyyyy
Favorite food: I’d have to saw I love peaches A LOT.
Favorite book(s) and character(s) from it: I had fun reading the Great Gatsby, and Daisy was my favorite character, but trust me I don’t approve of some of her actions.
Favorite movie(s) and character(s) from it: I love love LOVE Mamma Mia so hard, and I love everyone in those movies. Except Sam.
What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done?: Uhhh I really don’t know? I really like cosplaying and getting into character and I have fun with that so yeah.
Fill one of these out for each character!
Character Name: Ferris Calhoun-Fixowitz
Parent(s)/Movie: Sgt. Calhoun and Fix-it Felix Jr, from Wreck It Ralph
What makes this character special?:
Well Ferris seems to stand out from others through his dynamics as a game character. He also is one of the extremely positive characters of the group and always has people’s backs, the same way characters like Reed might.
How are you and this character similar? Dissimilar?:
Ferris and I are very different people, He’s almost always perky, patient, extroverted and extremely forgiving, while I’m more introverted, and bitter. I will say though we both share a love for baking and are extremely protective of friends.
What’s the hardest part about writing this character?:
Sometimes I struggle with trying to figure out how to write with characters who are more of “Glass half-empty” type of people, but I’m working on that slowly.
What do you see this character doing in the future?:
Ferris aspires to go into mechanics and engineering, and he wants to bring that all back to Sugar Rush.
Character Name: Willie Pride-Peep
Parent(s)/Movie: Woody Pride and Bonnie “Bo” Peep from Toy Story
What makes this character special?:
I really wanted to embody a sense of child-like wonder in Willie, without going too overboard with it. He’s fun to write for.
How are you and this character similar? Dissimilar?:
Willie and I are a lot a like. We’re both sassy, childish and self conscious. Other than that, in terms of likes and dislikes, we’re different other than the whole vinyl collecting thing.
What’s the hardest part about writing this character?:
I have a hard time writing Willie’s accent in a semi-serious way. Like I’m not sure if he just sounds silly or not.
What do you see this character doing in the future?:
Willie really doesn’t know what he wants to do when he’s older. He’s considered lots of options. He’s most likely going into something with education.
Character Name: Cillian Angelo Frollo
Parent(s)/Movie: Claude Frollo from the Hunchback of Notre Dame
What makes this character special?:
Cillian is one of my more deeper characters to write for, and there’s just something about of him that stand out to me, he’s refreshing to write for.
How are you and this character similar? Dissimilar?:
The only way Cillian and I are similar is through how studious and passionate we can both be. We don’t share many of the same traits.
What’s the hardest part about writing this character?:
With Cillian it’s a lot easier to write more serious topics which are kinda new to me, I’m getting used to them but some times the responses I get can through me for a loop.
What do you see this character doing in the future?:
I can see Cillian going into medical studies and becoming a doctor. Nothing religiously based though, he’d be a bit more of a science man once he’s older and has more access to education that isn’t based in faith.
Character Name: CJ Hook
Parent(s)/Movie: Captain Hook from Peter Pan
What makes this character special?:
I tend not to write for more femme characters because it can get me dysphoric, but there was something about CJ that stood out to me since I first saw her in Wicked World.
How are you and this character similar? Dissimilar?:
CJ has a lot of confidence and determination, which I tend to have sometimes. On the other hand, she’s manipulative and conniving which I don’t think I am.
What’s the hardest part about writing this character?:
Since CJ is relatively new to write for, I think the hardest part is just getting things rolling smoothly, but that’s something that comes with every new character at least for me.
What do you see this character doing in the future?:
CJ desperately wants to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a successful pirate. Dependent on if she gets to Auradon when she’s older, she might end up being a regular sailor.
