You didn’t have to spend as much time as you thought to convince Regulus to let you do his makeup. There was just something about the urge to put eyeliner under his sleepy eyes or gloss on his lips.

Regulus held your hips as you straddled his lap, holding his face with your hand while the other was gingerly applying the eyeliner on the outer corner of his right eye “Stop moving,” you chuckled.

Regulus huffed but still obeyed. You leaned back to look at him and you smiled, satisfied by your work. “Now I have to do the exact same wing on your other eye. If you move, I’ll kill you,” you said, trying to sound convincing.

At this, Regulus raised an eyebrow “You won't”

“I will, I swear.”

“Mmh” Regulus hummed with a smile on the corner of his lips. He watched amused as he saw your tongue poking out the corner of your mouth. You always did this when you were focused and he found it adorable even if he refused to admit it.

He tried his best not to move but when the brush hit a specific spot next to his eye, he couldn’t help but jolt, the eyeliner now ruined. “Reggie!” you groaned. It was perfect before he ruined it.

“Sorry,” he laughed but wasn’t really sorry because he loved to see the pouty look on your face. 

When you had finally wiped the eyeliner, did it again and Regulus didn’t move, your smile widened. “You look so good!” you said enthusiastically and you could see the light blush on his cheeks. You handed him a mirror “Look at yourself!”

Regulus observed his reflection and he had to admit it, he loved it. “You did a good job,” he smiled at you “Can you smudge it? Like what you do with the eyeshadow.”

“Sure.”

He sat there a few more minutes as you worked and when you gave him the mirror again, his lips tugged into a smile “Thank you, love. I like it,” he said as he pressed a kiss to your cheek.

“Also I was right,” he said.

“About what?”

“You didn’t kill me,” he said with a smirk.

Your eyebrows knitted together “Mentally I am.” You tried to be convincing but you looked more like an angry child.

He only had to kiss your lips to make the pout disappear “No, you are not. Now let me kiss you.”

Drop the cartman playlist I’ve only seen the kyle one

as usual with my other playlists, y’all should listen in order!

I wanted to explore as much of Cartman’s complexity as I could while staying narratively cohesive. The opening 4 songs are very much rooted in the first 3 seasons of South Park, paying homage to trey’s favorite bands as well as laying Cartman’s foundations. He starts off one-note: He’s fat. Spoiled. He’s a trouble maker. Lullaby insinuates a schizophrenic or maybe sexually abusive childhood, both of which I believe are key factors in Cartman’s behavior (and his views on love).

Mental, Sweet and Bloodmoney are transitional songs during his weird grey area in season 4. By Mama’s Gun, Eric Cartman is born. Arrogant, Self centered, deluded, and probably insane to a default.

Can’t Get Enough of Myself and The Bitch is Back are self explanatory. Cartman’s full of himself and. well he’s an asshole.

F-10-D-A is a nod to one of the episodes, as well as a highlight to Cartman’s hidden talents, this one being music writing. It’s a weird song, but I feel it’s something Cartman would write. Does that make sense?

Ginger is. I really don’t like this song. I listened to it once and I skipped it. But its absolutely perfect for Cartman’s (surface level) feelings about Kyle. Ruka Ruka Ali is like, the South Park of parody songs. He even sneaks in a comment about Jewish people that’s frankly, really random? Yeah. It’s an extremely Cartman song. Hate it. Very offensive. It’s perfect.

Poker Face (c’mon. it’s very Cartman. and he sang it!!) and Circus highlight his love of the spotlight. He’s a performative guy, he’s good at rallying his peers and he knows it. His vanity isn’t… entirely unfounded, sometimes.

Narcissus is the only song to try and reach Cartman’s rotting conscience, the singers criticizing all of Cartman’s faults and warning him that he’ll end up living his Post-Covid future if he doesn’t change.

The next four songs are stacked in order of Cartman’s complex.

Blood: It’s incredibly, incredibly hard to find a song that perfectly sums up Cartman’s deal with Kyle. Blood fits most of the criteria for now, though; his feelings for Kyle are polarizing, and incredibly, incredibly intense.

Beloved Freak: If he keeps living the way he is, he’ll always find a way to make himself a victim

I’m So Afraid: underneath that fragile ego and evil is a scared ten year old boy. His actions are inexcusable, but it’s very clear that his defense mechanisms (or, arsenal of hate) are used to ward off any weaknesses or any sense of guilt.

Closedown: If we strip away his anger, his talent for denial, the victimization, the selfishness, bratty spoiled attitude, this song is Cartman at his core. I really can’t say much about the song without like, making another 2k wordy post about his psychology. You just gotta listen to the song and trust me on this. Hell someone can send an ask abt why I think the is the perfect Cartman song and I will write that goddamn essay.

MDL tells me that it's:

meet yourself - modern cdrama - high ranking hotelier quits her job to find herself after a tragedy in her life. stars liu yifei & li xian. (also killer ost tbh, i still listen to 去有风的地方 A LOT)

some people found the show slow, but imo the vibes for this show were so good and so chill! the progression of the romantic arc in the show was v natural, and i liked how the romance was not the central theme of the show and that each of the supporting characters were v well fleshed out! i rewatched the confession scene a lot through the year when i needed serotonin.

and

love me love my voice - modern cdrama - mutual pining to lovers, but the pair are also both huge fans of each other's online works (music and voice dubbing respectively). stars tan jianci & zhou ye.

most of y'all were here while i was watching this as it aired so you probably all know how i feel about this show. i'll summarise it for y'all anyway: 😍💕😭💖🤩👏🏼🥰💋

if you are after a feel good modern cdrama, i honestly cannot recommend these two shows enough. huge serotonin boosters and guaranteed emotional payoff.

honourable mentions, which should also surprise nobody:

till the end of the moon (this was my highest ranked period cdrama - retrospectively, this is more because of how insane it made me feel while watching it, and less of a testament to how good the show was, BUT!! i really did enjoy this a lot)

Knox was a romantic boyfriend, the most romantic boyfriend you could ever have. He was always taking care of you, always making sure you were fine and felt loved. And if you ever had the same attitude back, he would instantly blush and look flustered. 

You laid back in your bed, Knox resting his head on your chest, his hand playing with your fingers. "Baby," he said, "Do you want me to put on some music?"

"Oh yeah"

Your boyfriend got up and put the record player on, music filling the room quickly. He spun around, standing in front of you "C'mon here! Dance with me!" he said enthusiastically but you only sighed. 

"I don't know how to..."

"Me neither! But we can learn!" Without even waiting for an answer he grabbed your hand, pulling you out of the bed. 

Trying to remember how couples would dance in movies he watched. He put his hand on your waist as the other was still holding yours, Knox pulled you closer, his chest flushed against yours. He started to swing you both back and forth, trying awkwardly to follow the slow beat of the music. 

You were struggling at first, trying to adapt your mouvements to the rythm of the music and eventually both of your confidences built up as you danced more and more, you started to try bolder moves. 

You let out a little yelp as Knox stepped on your feet when he detached himself from you to come closer again. "I'm so sorry," he apologized as a worried expression found his face.

"I'm fine," you smiled. "Just make me dance!" you approached your face to his flushed one, embarrassed by what just happened, you pressed a small kiss to his mouth. When you pulled away, he chased for your lips and you chuckled. 

Knox made you twirl on yourself before pushing you close to him "I could never dream of a better way of spending my night," he smiled as he kissed the corner of your lips.
