Is there a term for people liking the idea of liking something more than they like the thing itself? Apogeletic and soft Lucien have special place in my heart. And I cant with your lucien. IT SO AWESOMEEEEE. SO FRESH ABD IT MAKE FEEL LIKE HE IS ALIVE.

It is a talent you know to have one character so distinct from othr character. I have read ya lately abd a lot of the Male Lead feel blant and plain. Grunpy, old,dark hair and rich. That is all they got. But your version of Lucien make me feel something. I often picture your Lucien as someone responsible when it come to his family. Treat his mom right. Listen to his daddy. And respect his eldest brother. He feel kind to me. But I melt everytime he is mean. He is mean and know how to be. Not blindly mean because of ugh,he can.

I read the "I know the place we wont be found", abd here. He feel human. I know he is fae. But here I can feel his struggling. Awkward cnvo,eyes not meeting othr, back facing Elain, the yearning for old love from Jes, broken friendship and lost of home. It really amaze me how you wrote them. And golden Lucien feel as he is a bitch. Which make him inferesting. Not perfect and holy. I like it.

I can't imagine any better feedback than this- I appreciate so much that you found real emotion in something I wrote and the characters I was working with. I've been staring at this trying to decide how to reply ever since you sent it, like- that fic is so personal to me. They went on a whole journey and I feel like I did, too.

Gaston had opened his eyes, from his stool in the dim light of the bar, and found the girl gone. The warmth in his mind was still there in her place, the tingle of memories as they fused back together, sliding behind his eyes. Year after year. Remembering the residue of her essence on the edge of his thoughts, knowing it was gone without even a name.

He might have only sat there for seconds, but decades trickled into the foreground. Moments he’d missed for months, intertwined with a present he’d forgotten. Of notes and cautious touches, never certain what either would find on the other side of daylight.

Really, he’d never thought he’d owe anything to a magick. He certainly made a point not to try. But in that moment, as he rose warily to his feet, it felt like the world. And while he was sure that, with time, the sparkle would dim - by nature or by force - he’d revel in it for now, pressing onward to the flat to see whether the priest was truly where he’d left him.

A gentle smile pressed to his lips as he peeled the door open, graced by suited back of the other man, pouring, as he did, over piles of books and projects. Something dull ached in his chest, swelled under his chin. It may have been hours but the absence tugged in his soul for years between the unfiled memories fresh in his brain; drew him closer, pressing his finger tips to the silky back of his vest, palms flat against the warmth and his lips to the soft line of hair behind the lawyer’s ears. Breathing in the smell of home.

Max overhearing Lewis talking to someone about how maybe he is not the best fit for Max but Max hearing it and taking it as "I don't know if I can put up with him for much longer" (not the words lewis says but max just gets so distraught about it so his mind goes to extremes) so he just starts being really quiet or if they're fighting he realises what is happening and rushes to apologise.

(lewis finds it so odd like yeah he was hoping for a peaceful life with max where they one day could see eye to eye but not like this? why is max apologising all the time even if it's lewis who should be doing it? I need to talk to him about it)

One day he walks into Max's room to ask him about something or other and he sees that the walls are bare again, the little figurines max had are now nowhere to be seen, his favourite bed cover is no longer on his blanket. When he asks about it, Max just looks down at his hands because he won't HE CAN'T look at Lewis while he tells him "so I won't forget anything when you bring me back" because then it becomes REAL and Lewis will send him away!!

But Lewis just has this sinking feeling in his chest like oh shit he heard me? he wasn't supposed to know, it wasn't something he was going to do easily and he certainly never wanted Max to feel like he wasn't enough or that he was too much hard work. He absolutely has to fix this before this sweet little demon kid gets the wrong idea so he just ends up holding Max and stroking his hair while the two of them cry it out.

Lewis being so worried and feeling like he is failing Max because Max clearly isn't happy and he goes to talk to Checo, who soothes him explaining it took Este q long time to settle too, that everything is just new to him and things will get btter and Lewis just so desperately wants thay to be true! Max misses that part of the cnvo tho, just hears Lewis saying he isn't sure Max is in the right place with him.

Max beng so desperate to do better and have Lewis like him so every time they get close to arguing, Mx jut makes himself small and apologises right away, which is very unlike himself... Lewis worrying about his baby and going up to his room one night to talk to him and pllssss he would be so heartbroken, seeing Max look so small in his empty room with is ratty old bag ready... poor pup whispering about when Lewis will send him away and Lewis just gasps cos he would never!

Lewis hugging Max close and its the first time he truly hugs his pup, truly holds him and rocks him and Max jut melts, both sniffling as Max rubs his cheek on Lewis's shoulder and let's out a soft pup squeak😭 pls Lewis would hold him fr hours!
