One thing which scares me about the Veilguard is that I see potential in Lucanis ending up as my romance choice, just because of similiarities between what we know of him and how I picture my Rook, but as someone who knows ropes around Dragon Age fandom, going for fandom favored golden boy™ will most likely end up ruining him for me... Especially if I choose to romance him with "lesser" race like dwarf or qunari.
Yes I have romanced Alistair in DAO and yes I have been victim of "You can't romance Alistair because I romance Alistair and that upsets my Cousland to see him with other wardens" debacle. Yes it was a thing.
Yes I have went for Anders only for Fenhawke fans to say me I chose a terrorist, and yes I romanced Fenris, just for Handers fans to say to me I support mage genocide...
Yes I have modded my game to go after Cullen as Qunari, just to be told I and my qunari give people and ick, because I should have made Lavellan or Trevelyan as Andraste apparently intended.
And now that we know Lucanis can be romanced by everyone no matter the race or gender, but him still already becoming golden boy™ of the fandom... Idk if I will have the patience for new wave of flak coming from the fandom directed at me and my unpopular ship choice.
The dadcode what if for Lunar makes me wonder how Moon would deal with two people in his head yelling
Also did he just not erase KC like in cannon because of Lunar being his brother or because it would erase Lunar too?
Idk Moon dealt with it just fine having Lunar, Moon's had sun before and its not like hes in pain with either Lunar or KC in his head (especially after the deal he and KC has. Which would have to be thought about cause Lunar would be involved)
Also i dont get the next question too well.
Moon doesnt erase KC, in canon he tried removing the killcode and leavin it in Sun (which made eclipse), but its so rooted in his code that he couldnt get rid of it (thus it resurfacing and becoming sentient aka Killcode).
The next instance of KC being discussed on removal was debated because it could break Moon/Reset him (which it did in canon).
With Lunar in this au now still in Moon's head they'd aim to remove Lunar first if they still were going with that plan (and we know Getting lunar out isnt as consequential). Its more of a matter of; If Lunar will go with this plan, Killcode honestly would probably advocate for Lunar getting his own body too (it'd give him more time to do the things he needs to... also properly hold son), other events either being altered or like canon (eclipse in the computer, solar flare existing, Bloodmoon dying by suns hand, KC turning good etc).
I doubt Moon and later KC would want Lunar being erased at all in effort to seperate.
...Thatd be so funny (and tragic) if KC demanded Eclipse to make Lunar a new body or soemthing.
after all that discourse about mini boy vs mini girl solo maturity expectations i think that belle marie winning with her little barbie soundtrack solo would fix something in the timeline
just sharing my gratitude outlook on life about how humans have existed for millions of years and i'm just lucky to be alive while writing exists let alone Rain Code so I can spend my limited time in this world loving it and other interests of mine
It's important to remember that there will always be something for you to enjoy no matter when you're alive. Course anyone can feel lucky to be alive at the time they are in order to enjoy specific things, but I believe that there will always be something that exists for someone. It doesn't even have to be big, maybe it's just someone's piece of art that resonated with you or a song that replays in your head from time to time or a book that captivated you the whole way through. Writing has existed since the dawn of man (I'm no historian though) so there's no doubt someone would eventually write something that spoke to you, even if it was written hundreds or thousands of years ago.
I sure am happy that Rain Code released at the right time for a lot of people. For all the faults and flaws that the community has rightfully critiqued, it's clear there's something special for each fan to hold on to and carry with them. Whether is a certain character, a piece of the soundtrack, a concept used in the story, or a single line of dialogue, Rain Code has meant something.
