People being mad at the new info Jac Schaefer has given, why are we mad?
Maybe I have a different perspective somehow but I feel like people are mad at the lack of information on Agatha and Rio’s lives together but are even more mad at the information that the show runner is giving us…?
Maybe it’s different in some ways as I had less personal stakes in the outcome but didn’t Wandavision also leave us with a lot of ends that were not tied up? Didn’t it leave us with a bunch of them that are still not tied up, four years later?
I understand that people want to see these stories on screen, I want to see them on screen too! But I can’t understand why people are mad at the story not wrapping everything up neatly when Jac Schaeffer has never given us that in a marvel project before.
Also for those blaming Jac specifically I think it’s worth remembering that a) there have been directors and writers who have turned down working with Marvel due to lack of creative license and b) Jac has actually told us that she was only allowed to use the word ‘gone’ when talking about Wanda. To me that says enough, we know that marvel is very tight on what the writers and creators are able to do, so we shouldn’t be complaining about rhe showrunner’s input, we should be complaining about the higher powers.
I guess I just find it sad that instead of people being excited that we now have knowledge of this marriage they are more interested in complaining about what we don’t have.
Maybe I’m too old but I think people forget that the huge amount of insight we have nowadays into the behind the scenes aspect of both film and tv hasn’t always existed. We never used to get this wealth of interviews and even when we did it wasn’t to this level.
As someone who creates things I know how much of a story is often held back. I know how much writers might want to include but can’t for multiple reasons, the only difference is that now they get to share that stuff with us.
Rant over, just wanted to share my thoughts since I’ve only seen negativity shown to this article so far.

If you have been watching Showtime’s new series Fellow Travelers, you’re bound to have noticed that the episodes can get quite steamy: While Hawk Fuller (Matt Bomer) does whatever he can to stay closeted, he also doesn’t deny his sexual desires, and this results in some pretty unforgettable moments with Jonathan Bailey's Tim Laughlin. In an interview with Collider, the Bridgerton star talked about how the production team approached Hawk and Tim’s sex scenes.
The actor revealed that, much like every other aspect of Fellow Travelers, the sex scenes were also thoroughly discussed so that both he and Bomer knew what they were supposed to convey at the time of filming. For such delicate and intimate scenes, it’s vital that all the production team is on the same page, as Bailey explained
"What we were all on the same page with is the way in which the intimacy was gonna be told and captured on film and how, really, the intimacy lies between the eye contact and the shifting power dynamic. It's a conversation that they're having with their bodies. I think that's really perceptive, and that's so true. Everything was talked through, and as me and Matt got to know each other, those scenes became more easy and clear in how to do it. We were exploring that just as much as the characters were in terms of, yeah, how that intimacy is told."
Bailey also added that he sees Tim and Hawk’s sex scenes as “intrinsic" to the story, as it also shows how the couple’s dynamic evolved throughout their relationship. At the same time, we do have to factor in that the duo lived in an era in which their very lives were at risk, so Bailey underscores that "there was just no chance for them to have a healthy relationship,” especially when Tim was going through an awakening in his activism while Hawk was prioritizing his own safety. For today’s standards, Hawk’s move may seem like cowardice, but Bailey capped it off by stating that "Hawk's decisions and his survival mechanisms are just as valid as Tim’s."
In the next few weeks, Fellow Travelers will air its final episodes, and we’ll finally discover how Tim and Hawk’s relationship continues to evolve throughout the years. We already know that there was a massive shift in their connection due to the HIV outbreak in the 80s, but we’re yet to know how Tim will choose to deal with the 80s and present-day Hawk.

Daniel, beloved, come see this. I have recently acquired a new game on this iPad of mine, and I've already made much progress on my farm. See my fields of wheat and melons and corn; I even have chickens from which I might collect eggs to make mayonnaise. My love, you must download Stardew Valley on your laptop so that we may cooperate on our own farm. Why? Well, I must have a partner to accompany me, and while the list of bachelors are fine indeed, none of them match your charisma.

“I think that's also very, very different to Armand's attraction because there's something really astute about Lestat . Seeing a future like that and the potential is something that Armand didn't have. I think Armand sees Louis as a vessel for how he can change Armand , and how he can enrich Armand’s life, rather than seeing Louis as his own person and what he's bringing and giving to the world. That's the tragedy of the romance between them. It's just all about himself.”

As we get past the halfway point of the Showtime series Fellow Travelers, there’s one aspect of the story that makes us wonder about the fate and state of mind of characters like Tim Laughlin. In an interview with Collider, Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey opened up about how he sees his character (Tim) and why he makes some decisions that may seem controversial – especially when it comes to his potentially destructive relationship with Hawk Fuller (Matt Bomer).
The more we watch the series, the more evidence we have that Hawk will stop at nothing to protect himself and his reputation. Tim has certainly noticed this, and yet he keeps going back to Hawk in order to keep their relationship going, even though he could get hurt. Why does that happen? In Bailey’s opinion, this has to do not only with the era the series is set in – the 1950s – but also with the LGBTQIA+ and straight dynamics of the relationship. He explained:
"I think it's something fundamental to the existence of being in a society that doesn't accept you from a young age. I think Tim is so anxiously attached to his love that he feels he has to do everything to get love from his partner. Obviously, Hawk is the opposite. I think he's avoidant. I think the way that he manages things is that he allows Tim to deliver in the way that Tim wants to so that it's a functional relationship, and that then when the emotion that Tim brings to it is too much for Hawk to handle, and when Hawk's held accountable, and if he does something that destabilizes Tim, Tim explodes and then Hawk retreats and that is a perfect cycle. I think that's very common, not just in queer relationships, but it's a very common dynamic. Neither of them is secure, and so I think that is partly why they are drawn to each other and that cycle continues."
Bailey also added that he thinks Hawk and Tim’s relationship is “brilliant” to explore since Hawk can’t understand why "Tim cannot operate on any other level other than who he is and what he believes is right and wrong,” while Hawk is a person who can operate on multiple levels out of sheer self-preservation. Of course, the biggest discussion that this raises boils down to what lengths you’re willing to go to keep yourself closeted – and in the McCarthy era the answer to this question represented the difference between life and death.

I am utterly delighted that Blake Ritson's role on the show is basically WWII-era Daniel Molloy, proving that Louis has been chasing after someone to call him out for a looooooong time now
