The story starts with Anthony, a dreamer, philosopher and party-goer, but can't figure out what he wants to do with his life. He falls in love with Gloria, a beautiful, selfish, narcissistic and doesn't even attempt to hide them. Strangely, it's those qualities that Anthony seems to love most of all. They get married and their problems were beyond ridiculous. So begins their downfall when Anthony's grandfather disinherited him and alcohol seems to help his nerve. I thought I would hate and despise the main characters, but I didn't. As their world began to crumble, I pitied them. Simply not my favorite type of protagonists but still.. This book is my first classic literature book and first book of jane Austen that I have been reading from months as the book has been written in a complex english so I was reading this book very slowly and today I finished reading this book which gave me a blissful experience.

The book deals with the story of Elinor and Marianne who is opposite to each other in everything and how they finds each other after suffering lots of ups and downs.

For me this book was very challenging to read as it is written in complex english.

The book is overall very gripping as the story is simple and soothing to heart in the ending.

-The story of the book is very realistic. -This book is not for the beginners. -If you are a classic literature lover then this book is for you. -Book deserves five stars.

The book have the story of dashwoods which were living in Sussex from very long time and the late owner of the property was a single man so he called his nephew Mr Henry dashwood and mrs dashwoods to live with him and their daughters Elinor, Marianne and Margaret who is youngest.

Mr Henry dashwood have one son from first marriage whose name is John dashwood and eldest heir of dashwoods.

Elinor is eldest daughter and she is very cool in taking any judgement opposite to her sister Marianne who is very impulsive and when comes matter of heart she is passionate and romantic and falls for mr.willoughby who is unreliable.

Elinor don’t share anything impulsively she is very sensible and her mother takes advice from her whenever she need, Elinor loves Edward ferrars and he is engaged with another and when Elinor comes to know about this she coped with this news.

What the book holds for Elinor and Marianne for to know more read this book.

Bram Stoker - Dracula

// i love that classics are widely accessible and affordable, but they are also intimidating (if you've been stuck in the contemporary side of literature for so long like me). i decided to put Dracula on my spooky season TBR because i have never read it and knew the story very vaguely. and it really surprised me - i loved the storytelling, Stoker's style and the form as well.

Dracula was published in 1897 after Stoker spent years studying the folklore and myths, and it established and connected all those myths and fantastical elements surrounding vampires that have never appeared together concisely before (although there have been novels about vampires published before, e.g. by Goethe, Le Fanu, or Polidori). what really surprised me was the form - the story of Count Dracula is told through journal entries and letters of different characters that the reader gets to know gradually and thus offers a very complex picture and various points of view.
