Imma be honest. I spent over 7 hours on this ref for my dinobot oc, so i feel like posting it.

Originally got this guy from @dusty-demons and gave him a more arctic fitting pallete with dark brown accents (because i die for this colourpallete) and yeah :) dinonaur :) Yutyrannus is my favourite dinosaur btw, if yall got one lemme know, i love dinosaurs to an unhealthy degree (Madcom followers, im trying i swear- im on the apparatus stygian design but the wings trip me up, hope an update satisfies yall for now)

i tried to keep the same colourpallete and shading though but ive always struggled with committing to one style or one continous ‚pattern‘ of sort. Im still learning and am still not the best at the whole art thing but i OBVIOUSLY will continue bcs…well bcs art is fun and i love it.(jesus this sounds cheesy wth)

hypothetically if u mix me & ollies colourpallets (me: many reds, bit of pinks, small bit of black & white) [ollies: many blues, bit of yellow, bit of black & a small bit of white) youd end up with ourples, oranges & greys. spoopy colours

okay attempt 3 cuz I actually just explained that badly:

using the pre-existing aspects of a character (ex: colourpallet, features, design themes, etc) and reordering them in a way that looks like it was overhauled entirely when in reality it's more like I played a good game of scrabble with the design. I think a visual is needed to get across what I really mean tho im ngl. but like for example its like if a character had a lot of circles and points and you altered where those circles and points where while keeping the same idea, colours, etc yknow
