summary: after pining for one another for a while, you finally make a move
warnings: not proofread, the section written in italics is a flashback, mentions of drinking, little bit of steamy activity and allusions to sex, kissing
notes: based on ‘i think he knows’ by taylor swift. first adam fic... not sure how i feel about this, it's kind of a mess
You were starting to go cross-eyed from staring at him so much.
Every chance you got, whenever Adam was preoccupied in a conversation with Dylan who was standing next to him, you’d catch a glance at him.
You were out at a bar in Nashville, celebrating Adam being drafted by Columbus. Adam had invited tons of people to be in his group of support for the draft, including you.
You and Adam met in class, being partnered together for a mini assignment. Over the course of the project and the rest of the school year, the two of you became close friends. Somewhere along the way, you’d developed feelings for him. However, you couldn’t work up the courage to tell him how you felt. So you stayed friends. Close friends.
His right hand was gripping his glass of whiskey, beads of condensation rolling down to his knuckles. You eyed him as he brought the glass to his lips and took a sip. Your brain was wracked with images of his hands running up and down your sides, getting to know your body like it’s his own.
“Can you quit staring at my brother like that? It’s creeping me out.”
You turn to face Luca whose face is scrunched up in disgust.
“What?” You say.
“You’re looking at him like you’re being starved and he’s a fucking filet mignon.” Luca scoffs, sipping from his beer.
Your cheeks heat up, trying to defend yourself against Luca. “I’m not…we’re not…I don’t like him like that.”
You immediately regret even saying anything as your words come out rushed and unsure.
“Oh please everyone here knows you two are drooling over one another and frankly it’s disgusting.” He says.
You sigh. “Is it that obvious?” You ask.
“Are you kidding me?” Luca asks, a grin tugging on his lips. “The tailgate party for the final football game of the season? Do you remember that?”
Adam knew what he was doing. He had to. He was wearing the UMich t-shirt you had cut into a tank after you told him he needed more variety in his wardrobe. You had also added that tanks were hot on guys. He had to be wearing it for you, right?
But then again there was the chance that this was all in your head. The flirting that Adam had been doing since you’d finished your joint assignment could all be in your head and was just him being nice.
Suddenly Adam was on his way over to you and your friends, who made an excuse to leave so the two of you could talk alone.
“Your DIY is a hit.” He says.
“I am an artist if I do say so myself.” You chuckle, fiddling with the choppy left sleeve of Adam’s shirt.
Your fingers brush his skin, a slight rush running up your fingertips. You look at Adam’s face, a soft smile on his lips as he looks down at you.
“What?” You ask.
“You look good.” He says.
“Thank you.” You smile.
There’s a beat of silence while the two of you hold eye contact.
“What, you’re not going to tell me I look good?” He asks.
You scoff at his cocky comment. “I don’t need to tell you something you already know.”
“Oh, you think I look good?” Adam smirks.
“That is not what I said.” You say.
“Mhm, but that’s what you were thinking.” He laughs.
Your cheeks flush pink, Adam smiling at the reaction he got out of you. He rests a hand on the wall, leaning over you.
“I’m serious, you look amazing.” He says.
Your cheeks flush even pinker, if possible, Adam slowly leaning his head down.
“Get a room!”
You and Adam turn your heads to where some of his teammates are. All of them are staring at you, smirking and laughing at the two of you. Adam flips them off, turning back to you. “I’m sorry about them.” He sighs.
“I-it’s okay. I’m going to go find my friends.” You say, weaving through the crowd to find your friends.
Adam walks over to his friends, a fake smile on his lips. “I hope you guys are all impotent.” He says.
“You’re blushing just thinking about him.” Luca groans.
You glance over to Adam who you find looking right back at you.
“Listen,” Luca says, drawing your eyes off his brother. “Go to him. Get out of here, and take him with you.”
“Are you whoring out your brother?” You ask jokingly.
Luca rolls his eyes, pushing you towards Adam. You walk over to Adam, stopping next to Dylan. When Dylan sees you, he makes an excuse, leaving the two of you alone.
“I just wanted to say congrats, again.” You say.
“Thank you.” Adam smiles.
“I’m going to head out now, though.” You say. “Go back to the hotel…”
You trail off, hoping he would pick up what you were putting down. Looking down at you, you feel your heartbeat skip under his gaze. “Okay.” Adam says.
That’s it? You furrow your eyebrows slightly, expecting Adam to have picked up on what you were insinuating. You are slightly confused until a smirk begins to tug on his lips. You should’ve expected this, as his attitude was a common thing you got to see. Something you’d always wanted to force away.
He stayed silent, not offering you much more than his eyes dragging up and down your body. Was he going to make you spell it out? If Adam was going to make you jump through hoops, you were at least going to do it under your terms.
“Yeah, go back… Get out of this tight dress, maybe take a hot bath… Try on my new set from Victoria Secret…” You trail off.
Adam gulps, and you can practically see him imagining you in a matching lingerie set. You had him obsessed with you and you completely understood why.
“Fuck.” He mumbled, shifting his feet to try and adjust himself.
You giggled, liking the effect you had on him. You rest your hands on his chest, flattening his dress shirt. You can practically feel his racing heart in his chest.
“Of course, there’s always room for a plus one.” You say softly.
That’s enough to push Adam over the edge, grabbing his glass from the table and downing the remainder of his drink. He takes your hand, pulling you out of the restaurant. You briefly stop by Luca, Adam asking him to tell their guests that he wasn’t feeling well so they were going back to the hotel. Luca agrees to cover, sneakily holding his hand out to high-five you as you pass him.
You and Adam step out into the warm Nashville air, walking down the sidewalk toward the car that Adam had rented. He hands you the keys, seeing as he had drunk and you hadn’t. You slide in the driver's seat, Adam’s hand finding your thigh immediately.
You start up the car, turning onto the street. You hit a light, looking over at Adam, whose eyes hadn’t left your face since you got in the car. The streetlights lit up his face, his normally light blue eyes looking like a darker indigo colour in the nighttime.
You continue down the streets of Nashville, eventually pulling into the parking lot of your hotel. You two were fast into the lobby and into the elevator. As soon as the doors shut, Adam’s hands were on your hips, pressing you against the metal wall. His lips connect to yours, your hands going into his hair. He deepens the kiss, causing you to instinctively tug on his roots, eliciting a groan.
When the doors open, you split apart, darting down the hall to your room. Fumbling with the keycard, you eventually unlock the door, you and Adam slipping inside, your tongues a tangled mess.

summary: Adam left for Columbus with the promise that it changed nothing in your relationship. What do you do when it changes everything?
warnings: angst :)
note: for all intents and purposes Luca was at the game on 10/21. i’ve never written for adam before so pls let me know what you think!
You hadn’t stopped smiling for the last two hours. Adam had been drafted third overall to the Columbus Blue Jackets, which shocked everyone except for him. You had expected him to go to the Ducks, and when they selected Leo Carlsson, you were confused, but Adam wasn’t. He looked calm, cool, and collected as he always did and that was enough to ease the nerves you had for him. When his name was finally called, you watched as he enveloped his family in hugs with the biggest grin.
“I love you so much,” He’d whispered in your ear, arms wrapping around your waist as he pulled you in close, “Thank you for being here.”
“Always,” You mumbled into his ear, placing a delicate kiss to his cheek before he made his way down to the stage.
You hadn’t stopped smiling since then. You were so happy and so proud of him, and so was the entirety of his family. They surrounded him with warm embraces and encouraging words as he basked in the attention, eyes flitting towards you ever so often with a smile. He’d tried to make his way towards you, but you would shove him away and tell him to celebrate with everyone else, that the two of you would have your time later.
Luca made sure to stick close to you most of the night, knowing that Adam wouldn’t want you to be alone while he was bombarded with congratulations and pictures. You’d tried to get him to spend time with the others too, but he was a lot less easy to persuade than his younger brother considering it wasn’t his night. The two of you watched as Adam gracefully accepted compliments and made sure to greet everyone who approached him with kindness.
After a fun filled dinner with Adam’s family and loved ones, the rest of you returned to the hotel to get some rest. You were going along with the family tomorrow to explore Nashville a bit before you were to go back home and the Fantilli’s back to theirs. When you’d gotten back to the hotel, you had to carefully switch rooms with Luca since you and Adam technically weren’t supposed to share a bed.
You were taking your makeup off in the bathroom when you let your mind drift off to something you had tried to ignore. While Columbus wasn’t nearly as far as Anaheim, it was still away from you and everyone else. Adam was going to be moving to another state, but what did that mean for your relationship? Would he want to break up?
Shaking your head, you threw the dirty makeup wipe in the trash can and stepped into the cool hotel room. Adam was laying on the bed, shirt off and blanket pushed down to his hips as he scrolled on his phone. His gaze snapped in your direction when he heard the bathroom door shut, and a smile quickly formed on his face as he tossed his phone to the side and held the blanket open for you to crawl into.
You settled into the slot between his side and arm, cuddling into him as you tried to calm your thoughts. Adam slipped his hand underneath the shirt you had borrowed from him months ago and began gently scratching your back. He could tell that you were overthinking something, and he knew that was a way to get you to calm down enough to talk to him about it if you’d wanted to.
“Adam,” You hesitantly spoke, tracing patterns on the naked skin of his chest, “This won’t change anything, right? Like between us.”
You shifted your head so you were looking up at him, and Adam swore he felt a piece of his heart break when he saw the fear swimming in your eyes. He hated that he knew exactly what you were thinking, because it scared him, too. He knew that moving away wasn’t going to be easy for either of you, but he knew one thing for sure. He was willing to do whatever it takes to make sure it was going to work.
“No,” He firmly stated as he brought his hand up to move your hair behind your ear, “It won’t change anything except for the physical distance between us. I promise.”
You fell asleep that night with the comfort of knowing that Adam had no intention of letting your relationship break apart because he was leaving. You spent the rest of your summer either physically with him, or talking to him over the phone as often as the two of you could manage. The two of you exchanged a lot of late night phone calls and snapchats, leaving the ache in your chest from missing him ever so slightly growing the longer you went without seeing him. However, Adam stayed true to his word and he didn’t let it change anything.
Truthfully, you couldn’t remember when it started. You’re not sure if it was when training camp started, when classes began, or when pre-season games began. You couldn’t figure it out, but the one thing you did know was that things had changed.
Calls with Adam had gone from multiple times a day, to once a day, to once a week if you were lucky. Texts went unanswered for entire days at a time, and you tried to be understanding. You really did, but it wasn’t until Luca had mentioned Adam showing up a video of something he’d done at practice that you truly realized something had shifted in your relationship.
You’d tried to find a break in both your schedule and Adam’s so you could talk to him about how you felt, but it was proving to be difficult with his hectic schedule. You tried to tell yourself that it was okay, that he wasn’t losing feelings for you, that he was just busier now. You didn’t want to seem like an over controlling girlfriend who needed his attention all the time, but you were in need of sone reassurance.
“Hey, I don’t have a lot of time,” Adam spoke, stepping into one of the empty rooms, “What’s up?”
You ignored the way your chest tightened at his subpar greeting, but you knew he was busy, “I just wanted to talk to you a bit.”
“That’s it,” He sounded annoyed, “Look, if it isn’t important I need to get back to—”
“Practice. I know. I just wanted to ask you something,” You closed your eyes, letting out a nervous sigh, “Do you- Do you want to break up?”
“What,” He snapped, and you could picture his brows pulling together and eyes narrowing in frustration, “No. Why the fuck would you think that?”
You couldn’t help but let the tears that were lining your eyes spill over onto your cheeks, biting the inside of your cheek in order to keep yourself from letting out a sob. He was angry with you for your question, and that hurt you more than you thought it would because it meant he didn’t see that anything was wrong. Maybe that should be a good thing, and it would’ve been had there not clearly been a change.
“We just don’t talk that often anymore,” You explained as you wiped at your cheeks.
“I’m busy,” He retorted, growing slightly annoyed.
“I know,” You shook your head, “I know you are, but Luca says you talk to him all the time. He says you send him videos and call him every day.”
“So what,” He scoffed, “I can’t talk to my brother now? Is that what you’re saying?
“What,” You gasped, “No. No, that isn’t what I'm saying at all. I just want to know why you don’t talk to me anymore. You promised it wouldn’t change anything, but it has.”
Adam went silent on the other end, his breathing heavy as he tried to calm himself down. He wasn’t angry with you, but he was frustrated that you would think he wanted to break up with you. He knows he hasn’t been the best communicator recently, but he thought you would understand. After all, he still meant everything he’d told you in the hotel room that night, at least he thought he did.
“I’m not trying to argue, Adam,” You tried again, silent tears flowing down your cheeks in waves.
“You sure about that,” He bit back, visibly wincing when he realized that he was being unnecessarily harsh, “Look, baby, I’m sorry, okay? I really am. I’ll try and do better about all that. It’s just— I’m struggling a bit and talking to Luca is the only thing that really calms me down. But hey, I gotta get to practice. I’ll see you this weekend?”
Ignoring the way your heart clenched when he said Luca was the only person to calm him down, you nodded though he couldn’t see you. Choking back the sobs that bubbled in your throat, you managed to breath out a shaky, “Yeah. Okay. See you this weekend. I lo—”
The line went dead, and your cries echoed throughout your apartment. You sank to the floor, pulling your knees to your chest as you let your emotions roll over you. Everything you had been feeling over the last three months consumed your entire being as you sobbed on the floor, thankful that your roommate had work for the evening. Adam not saying he loved you just solidified what you only thought you knew, and now you weren’t sure where to go from there.
You tried to tell Luca that you didn’t feel well and that going to see Adam play wasn’t a good idea because you didn’t want to get him sick, but he saw straight through your bullshit. He knew you were lying, and he wasn’t quite sure why. Luca rolled his eyes and continued packing your bag, mumbling something incoherent before he settled on telling you that you were going and that was the end of the story.
When you arrived in Columbus with Luca and his parents, the first thing you did was take everything to the hotel since you arrived a bit later than you’d hoped and Adam was going to have to head to the arena. Luca could tell that you were nervous, and he did his best to make you comfortable and reassure you that everything was going to be okay. You managed to give him a weak smile, but you weren’t sure if what he said was true. You didn’t know if everything was going to be okay.
When you were around Adam’s parents, you were good at putting up the act that everything was fine, but that didn’t stop your skin from crawling with anxiety the closer the end of the game came. Your leg was bouncing and you were chewing at your bottom lip until it bled. Luca kept smacking your arm when he’d noticed that you’d pulled your lip between your teeth, but you would only stop when you noticed he was looking.
“Do either of you know how to get to the locker room,” Julia asked when the third period was over and the Blue Jackets had defeated the Wild.
“I do,” Luca shrugged, “Sort of. Adam gave me a tour of the arena after his first training camp and I think I remember where to go.”
Your heart sank at Luca’s words, and you felt selfish for feeling the way that you did. You didn’t care, nor would you ever care, that Adam was showing things to Luca that he didn’t show to you, but you hadn’t even seen a picture of the inside of his locker. You hadn’t seen any sort of picture of the arena from Adam, only knowing what you did because of social media and your own research.
You followed closely behind Luca, his parents lingering behind the two of you and quietly whispering to each other. Luca was carefully holding your hand in his own, silently comforting you as everyone waited for Adam. He could quite literally feel your body shaking with nerves, and it was then that he truly realized that something was off, but neither you nor his brother had told him why.
When players started to trickle out of the locker room, you felt like you were going to pass out. You couldn’t breathe and your head became dizzy. If it weren’t for Luca’s hand encasing your own, you’re sure you would’ve been on the floor by now. However, when you saw Adam walking out of the locker room, you did black out for a fleeting moment.
His hair was damp as he ran his fingers through it, his suit hugging in his body in the right ways. He had a smile on his face that made his eyes sparkle even under the ugly lighting in the hallway of the arena, and it only brightened when his eyes settled on his family. His eyes briefly met your own, and you swear that they dulled from the split second they did, but you hoped that it was just your imagination playing tricks on you. God, you hoped so.
“Oh, there he is,” Julia beamed, gripping your other hand in her own.
You plastered a smile of your own on your face despite the sinking feeling in your stomach. Adam reached the four of you and you stepped back, like you always did, and let him greet his family before you. You watched as he pulled them all in for tight hugs and told them how much he missed them. He finally turned towards you, and you wanted the world to open a hole in the ground and swallow you whole.
“Hey,” You meekly smiled, scared that he was going to dismiss you in front of his entire family.
He took the two steps needed and wrapped you in his arms, pulling you into his chest as he placed a small kiss on your temple. To the outside world, it could’ve been seen as cute and normal for a couple who hadn’t seen each other in months. To you, it felt wrong. Everything about it was wrong. Adam’s touch felt different. His hold felt different. Everything was different.
“Thank you for being here,” He whispered into your ear, and you were briefly brought back to the moment he was drafted. That hug, that embrace was how you should feel right now, but it was wrong. You wanted so desperately for it to be right because your feelings for him hadn’t changed, but maybe his had.
Much like the last time you all were together, you went out for a late dinner before returning to your hotel. The game didn’t end until late and Adam wasn’t feeling up to much after that, but Luca suggested that you go stay with Adam for the night. He ignored your pleading stares and instead insisted that you snore and he wanted to get a good night’s rest before tomorrow.
Adam seemed hesitant to agree, but he agreed nonetheless less. He took your hand in his, lacing your fingers like he always did and tugged you along to his car in silence. You didn’t know what to say to him. You were afraid that if you spoke, you wouldn’t be able to keep yourself from crying. You were afraid that if he spoke, he would say the five words that would absolutely shatter you entirely.
Being alone in the car with Adam felt like you were standing on a tightrope, all alone and scared. You knew you needed to say something to him, to try and talk about what was going on in your head, but you were terrified. Everything bad that could happen was playing in your mind, but you knew it was now or never because once you were at his apartment, his teammate would be there and you didn’t want an audience.
“Adam,” You called out, swallowing the lump in your throat, “Can we talk about something?”
“Anything,” He nodded, glancing away from the road while giving you a tight lipped smile.
“What happened,” You shakily let out, tears already pricking at the corners of your eyes, “What happened between us? And don’t say you don’t know what I’m talking about. Things haven’t been the same between us since you got here and you know that. You don’t talk to me anymore. You don’t tell me anything anymore. You haven’t told me you loved me in almost two months.
“It’s just— Adam you promised nothing would change, and now everything has and I don’t know why. Do you not love me anymore? Do you not want to be with me?”
Adam’s breathing faltered as your words hit him, though he isn’t sure why he’s so surprised. He expected something like this to happen, especially after the phone call the two of you shared three days ago. He’d been thinking about everything, about your relationship, and he realized that you were right. Something had changed.
He was scared to admit it out loud to himself, but when he hugged you after the game, he knew. It felt wrong, but it wasn’t anything that you were doing. It was all him and he couldn’t figure out why. He doesn’t know what changed for him because he knows he’s still insanely in love with you, even though he hadn’t said it since he got to Columblus. He didn’t know what was wrong.
“I don’t know,” He whispered, cutting through the suffocating silence.
Your hands were clasped in your lap, tears spilling onto your cheeks as you gathered the courage to repeat the one question that was plaguing your mind, “Do you not love me anymore? Is that it?”
“Of course I love you,” He shook his head, hands gripping the steering wheel so tightly that his knuckles were turning white, “It’s just— I don’t fucking know, okay?”
“Is it not enough, then,” You tried, eyes boring into the side of his face as you begged for an explanation. For him to give you anything.
“I don’t know.”
“Jesus, Adam can you say anything else,” You scoffed as your fingernails cut into the flesh of your palms.
“I don’t know,” He snapped, regret instantly forming in his chest when he watched you snap your gaze away from him and a blanket of nothingness washed over your face.
“Take me back to the hotel,” You ordered, voice thick yet flat. He called out your name pleadingly, “No. Take me back to the hotel. I’m done”
“With the conversation or with me,” He whispered, not bothering to fight back the tears that had been decorating the bottoms of his eyes since the conversation started.
“I don’t know.”
The drive to the hotel felt like it lasted an eternity as an uncomfortable, sticky silence enveloped the both of you and it made you want to scream. You never thought you would feel like this around him. What happened to the kisses that left you breathless and like time stopped around you? What happened to the whispers of the future? Things were never supposed to be like this with him.
You kept your head turned to the window, watching as the unfamiliar city blurred past you, and it was a little unsettling, honestly. How the world around you seems so perfectly fine while the world you had built in your head was crumbling with each passing second. It was devastating and cruel.
Adam was going to war with himself as he drove you away, in more ways than one. He knew he was wrong, he knew that everything was his fault, he knew that he fucked up. But he didn’t know how to fix it. He didn’t know what to do.
When Adam pulled up to the front of the hotel, your hand lingered on the door handle. Despite telling him that you were done, you wanted him to call out to you, to beg you to stay because you would stay. If he asked, you would stay. All he had to do was say don’t go, and you wouldn’t.
Adam watched as your hand hovered over the handle, and he wanted to stop you. He wanted to scream at you to please stay, to go back to his apartment with him so you talk about everything and try and fix it, but he didn’t know how. You said you were done, and while he didn’t know what that meant entirely, he respected that and let you get out of the car without another word.
You felt like you couldn’t breathe as you stepped out of the car and into the brisk Ohio air without so much as a goodbye from Adam. The door shut behind you, and all you could hear through the ringing in your ears was the sound of him driving away. Reality settled in and you felt like you could throw up. The last thing you remember is collapsing in Luca’s arms as gut wrenching sobs tore through your body as you wondered what went wrong.

Dream Boy
Tumblr media
Summary : In which the sweet dream boy you saw freshman year turns into Your dream boy sophomore year
You and Gavin first met a Umich your Freshman year in the first week in one of your many classes you had together . But you first saw Gavin at freshman orientation and immediately had a crush on him . You and Gavin basically had almost every class together . You can't lie he was hot and sweet but you didn't want to get in a relationship as this was your start to college and you knew most college guys that were freshman were just looking to hookup .
Over the first couple months after meeting Gavin you had gotten close, you guys had had study dates even though both of your friends you brought along to make it less date like told you they were just third wheeling and it was indeed a study date . You brought one of your friends from your theater class and Gavin brought one of his teammates from the hockey team .
After that you and Gavin got even closer now from the study dates you were now going to each others events you invited Gavin to your showcases and he invited you to his hockey games and sat with the other girlfriends . This went on for the rest of the year .
Then the day you had been dreading since you met Gavin had come the last day of classes , which meant not seeing Gavin as often due to summer break and you hated that .
At least for now you didn't have to think about that because there was one big event left : The Umich Hockey End of Year Party which the hockey team . Gavin had invited you saying that is was one last big hangout with all the guys and your friends to hand out before you left as his friends and your friends had kind of meshed into one big group. So as your leaving your last class you are texting Gavin and he let you know the dress code is just umich colors .
Later that night about an hour after the party started you are almost done getting ready. You decided to wear a dark maize tube top and blue shorts with a university of Michigan jacket but left it unbuttoned in the front . Just as you were putting on your shoes you got a text from Gavin :
Gav 🥰 : where are you I don't see you ? 😢
You : im done getting ready im heading over now lol
Gav : ok see you , when you get here park next to my car
About 10 minutes later you arrive to the frat house and park nexts to Gavins car . The house pretty crowded but thats to be expected with an end of year party . You enter the house and the sound of music and laughter fills your ears . You look towards the kitchen and see Gavin and his hockey teammates and some of the girlfriends laughing and drinking so you head over.
" hey Y/N's here " Ethan yells drunkenly , that makes Gavin turn towards you at the speed of light . You both make eye contact and it holds and you can feel the shift in your relationship. You had started to notice it about a week ago the subtle touches around your waist , the excuses made just so he can hold your hand and now this something is shifting and you aren't complaining
After coming back to reality and hear Ethan still screaming about the house reaching capacity but I couldn't really make it out since he 1. was drunk off his ass and 2. You couldn't stop staring at your boy . You can't believe your referencing him as your boy but you are and you love it
You and Gavin are still making eye contact but you are saying so many words his eyes are saying " come here " your eyes are saying " come get me " but both are saying " you feel it too" at this point Gavin has had enough and as you continue staring at his eyes as your standing against the counter he comes over to you trapping you in between his arms , " come to my room with me yeah" he asks . You nod your head as you look up at him.
He grabs your hand as he leads you up the stairs and his teammates see and they start whooping and whistling and you definitely hear Luca yell " Finally " you laugh as Gavin continues to lead you up the stairs to his room. You finally get to Gavins room and he ushers you in with his hand dangerously close to your ass which makes you smile and make your heart flutter a she closes his door .
Gavin walks to his bed as he takes off his shoes and sit on the edge . You stay back towards his door and lean on it as you both make eye contact . " c'mere pretty girl" he says. You walk over and you see him spread his legs open to accommodate your body , as you fit perfectly between his legs he holds the back of your thighs and pulls you as close as possible , he pulls you with so much strength you have to hold onto his shoulders , after you catch your balance you wrap your arms around his neck and stare into his eyes.
He inches his lips closer and closer as you say "Gav" in a breathy tone " I know baby I feel it to" " what are we now" you question " You're mine and I'm yours if you'll have me " he says. Thats all it takes for the damn to break and for you to crash your lips onto his , he groans as you quite literally take his breath away . He moves his hand from the back of your thighs to you waist as he pulls you so you're now straddling him and from there his hands move to your ass pinching and pulling which you take as a sign he's enjoying himself among other things .
After a while you pull away to catch your breath. "wow' you both say at the same time you laugh and blush as you hide your face in his neck. He then lays flat on his back as he takes you down with him so you're now laying on his chest . He laughs as you still blush with your face in his neck. " don't blush now baby you literally shoved your tongue down my throat a couple minutes ago" this makes you groan as he laughs even harder , that beautiful laugh you love so much .
After you both settle down and change out of the party clothes and into pajamas and for you thats just Gavins clothes you both cuddle up on his bed as he choses some random show to watch. The room fills with silence until Gavin says " its always been you since the day we met our first week of class " You look at him from his chest and smile as you say " its always been you too Gav ever since I saw you in freshman orientation " " But we didn't even meet yet we met a week later during the first week " he cocks his eyebrow " exactly my dream boy ive had a crush on you since I saw you during freshman orientation " . Gavin smiles as he leans down to connect your lips for the sweetest kiss you've ever had .

PEOPLE thought you were a bookworm nerd. And everytime someone would encounter you, you had your nose in a book.
At first, this behavior was frustrating to others. People around you would comment on how bookish you were and it made them uncomfortable. They thought that your lack of social interaction meant you had little interest in being a part of a friend group, or even getting to know them better as individuals.
You didn't care though. You had aspirations, plans, dreams that you wanted to pursue. You knew that the knowledge in those books would help prepare you for your future, and so you studied and read voraciously.
Everyone knew you as an A student, an avid reader and writer, and overall a goody-two shoes.
Your parents knew that you had your life on track, no record of having any relationships. They were proud that their child turned out to be an innocent girl.
Or that's what they thought.
Being an english teacher was a thought you had at a young age, and it had only grown more concrete as you matured. During lectures, you found yourself daydreaming about being in front of a classroom leading discussions and introducing students to new ideas.
And that's what made Gabriel like you.
Gabriel worked at the library you went to, and was a doctoral student. He noticed you spending hours at a time in the library, and was fascinated by how deeply you absorbed yourself into books. He would find an excuse to stop by and talk with you, always asking about the book you were reading.
Everytime you two would talk, there was a spark of interest between you both that was hard to ignore. You found yourself looking forward to your conversations, and he seemed happy just to be in your presence.
As time passed, Gabriel had started asking for more of your time outside the library - suggesting coffee dates and movie nights. You were hesitant at first, but something inside told you there was a connection worth exploring.
Today, you were sitting at a round table hidden at the back of the library, wearing a sundress that was appropriate for the weather. The spot that you sat in the library was rarely touched, tucked away and forgotten. It was the perfect spot to read without any distractions.
Only this time, you were criss-crossed on the chair, your pussy sitting on the heel of your foot as you read… a "book." It was mindless, but a habit. You had no idea he was watching you until he suddenly made himself known with a light chuckle.
He grinned widely as he stood behind the seat across from you. He could see what you were doing, the tent in his pants growing.
"I thought you were here to read," Gabriel said, amusement lacing his words.
You blushed as your face grew hot in embarrassment. You weren't sure how to respond so you stayed quiet and looked away from him, trying your best not to meet his gaze.
"I am. I was just getting comfortable," you said softly.
He raised an eyebrow, “So… Getting comfy as you basically read a porn book. Gotcha.”
Gabriel chuckled, taking a seat across from you. He crossed his leg and adjusted his glasses, leaning forward to meet your gaze. “I'm not judging you - I think it's kind of cute that you have a thing for reading erotica," he said with a smirk on his face.
A scoff escaped your lips, "I don't have a thing for erotica, Gabe."
"Oh, I think you do," Gabriel said as he leaned in closer. His eyes were intense and his voice was low. "I think if we had more time, I would teach you all kinds of things about erotica that will make this book look tame."
He was getting bold with you, something that you’d never expect. You felt a thrill run through your body and you couldn't help but smile. You were glad Gabriel was still here, even if it wasn't for the reason he thought. "Oh yeah?" you asked, raising an eyebrow at him in challenge.
"Oh yeah." Gabriel said confidently as he disappeared under the table, out of sight. You heard a soft chuckle before you felt gentle pressure on your inner thigh, taking your breath away. Gabriel's hands traveled up and down your legs, sending sparks of pleasure everywhere he touched. You couldn't help but moan in response.
You frantically looked around, scared that someone would find you, especially Gabriel under the table. You felt his lips brush against your inner thigh, sending a shiver down your spine. You knew that if you kept going like this, you wouldn't be able to stop. But at the same time, you didn't want to stop either.
His breath fanned over your now exposed pussy, and you found yourself rocking your hips towards him in anticipation. He slowly licked and teased your most sensitive areas, sending wave after wave of pleasure coursing through your body. Every muscle tensed up as his tongue worked its magic. You gripped the edge of the table tightly, trying to hold on to the intense sensations that Gabriel was giving you until it passed, but it was almost too much to handle.
Quiet whimpers left your mouth, finding it hard to stay quiet in a library out of all places. You had no idea what kind of trouble you would get into if someone caught you. But in that moment, all that mattered was the pleasure he was giving you and your own pleasure.
Your hands found its way to his hair, lightly tugging on his dark strands. He moaned in response, sending a thrill down your spine. His hands brought you closer to the edge as his tongue continued to work wonders on your clit.
The feeling of euphoria was at its peak, but was soon shattered as a figure stood into your spot of the library. It was one of Gabriel’s co-workers, who looked oblivious to what was happening.
It was a great opportunity for you to use your leg to bring in another chair, blocking their view of him. You were both thankful for the temporary cover, and Gabriel pulled his lips away from your pussy, leaving you to whine a little.
“Hey! Have you seen Gabe by any chance?” His co-worker asked, oblivious to the noise they made.
You breathed a sigh of relief and put your hand over Gabriel's mouth as he started to snicker. After a few moments, you dropped your hand and managed to whisper back saying, “No, I haven’t seen him around in the past few minutes. He must have gone outside for some fresh air or some-THING!" You yelped, Gabriel’s tongue pressing up against your folds.
The figure gave you a confused look before shrugging and walking off, leaving the two of you alone again. You looked back to Gabriel with an amused smirk, “Really? You couldn’t control yourself for a few more minutes?”
He got up from under the table, a mischievous smirk stretching across his face. “What can I say? I couldn’t resist.” He pulled you into his arms and kissed your neck. “Now, let’s finish what we started.”
His arms carried you to sit on the round table, and you felt his hand sliding up your thigh, exploring your body. You could feel the warmth of his hands on your skin as he touched and teased every inch of you. His lips found their way back to yours, claiming them in a passionate kiss that only left you wanting more.
His fingers trailed lower and lower, until they reached your core. You gasped as he expertly found his way through your folds, exploring every inch of you. His tongue pressed up against you in ways that sent shivers down your spine. Every movement felt more and more pleasurable to you and before long, it became too hard to resist any longer.
You let out a desperate moan as your body lost itself in the pleasure. Your climax hit you like a wave of electricity, and with one last gasp, it finally faded away.
Gabriel wasn’t done though, his hand fumbling with your shirt, leaving your breasts exposed to the cold air now. He took each of them in turn, kissing and licking them until you felt yourself being pulled under again.
You found yourself biting your lip to suppress the lewd noises about to leave your mouth, and your hands found its way to his pants. You let out a satisfied groan when you felt his erect cock in your hands, guiding it inside you.
As he entered your wet pussy, you both let out a moan of pleasure. With that entrance alone, you would've came right on the spot.
But Gabriel kept going, his thrusts becoming more and more desperate.
You could feel yourself close to orgasm, your body shaking in anticipation. Gabriel picked up the pace as he felt you tensing up, and with a few more thrusts you were both at the edge.
“M’gonna cum! P-Please let me cum!” Your cries were desperate, and it didn’t take long for Gabriel to grant your wish.
"Come on baby, let go," he breathed heavily into your ear. You obliged his request and it did exactly what he wanted. Your body shook and tightened as the pleasure coursed through your veins, and soon you were moaning out loud.
Your loud moan was cut off by his hand, muffling the pleasurable noises bubbling out your mouth.
Gabriel's thrusts were frantic and erratic, his cock twitching inside you as both of your bodies were shaking. You could feel him getting closer and closer to orgasm, his breathing becoming more labored with each passing second, and you knew that he was almost there.
"Shit... Shit... Fuck!" Gabriel groaned as he came inside of you, the feeling making you more full. He pulled out, and you could feel his cum spilling out of you and it only added to the pleasure that was radiating through your body.
Now, you both were recovering from your post-orgasmic state, fixing your clothes as if nothing happened.
Though both of you were silent, there was an undeniable feeling of satisfaction in the air, one that only came from shared pleasure and love. You looked into each other’s eyes and smiled, knowing that what just happened was so much more than physical. It was a connection, honest and pure, that could only be experienced through the love between two people.
“I would do it again, y’know?” Gabriel said, a smirk gracing his face.
"Absolutely not," You said, rolling your eyes.
But you both knew that it was a lie. There was no way either of you would turn down this moment again.
You got down from the table, your knees wobbling as you tried to keep yourself steady. Lastly, you gave him a kiss on the cheek, smiling.
"See ya, Gabe." You said, winking at him before walking away.
Gabriel smiled as he watched you walk away,
his cum oozing down your leg.

Tumblr media
His head rested on your lap, your hands raking through his hair as he vented to you about the events that took place earlier that night. “And then she said I didn't care about her. I- I mean, I didn’t mean to make her feel that way. I just–”
“Wait, so just let me get this straight. She told you to buy her a $2,000 dress, and you said no because you couldn’t afford it—understandably—and she got mad at you? I mean, Adam—”
“You’re making her seem like she’s a bad person,” he said, sitting up and taking the spot across from you on your tiny twin sized bed. You two sat in your dorm room, doing your daily talk about what Katerina, Adam’s girlfriend, did this time. And it hurt knowing that the guy you have been in love with your entire life is in love with someone else, but he was your best friend, you had no choice but to stand back and support him.
You met Adam when you were 14 when he joined his brother at Kimball Union Academy in New Hampshire. You were initially friends with Luca having met him in the library at school. He was struggling with math and every time you heard him get an equation wrong on those flimsy little flashcards, you cringed a little. So, taking it upon yourself (you were quite the confident 14-year-old), you sat down next to him, outstretched your hand, introduced yourself as his new tutor, and shooed away the poor kid who desperately thanked you for getting him out of that.
After a year of tutoring Luca, you two became inseparable, and when you heard that his younger brother was coming to play hockey for the school, you knew you had to meet him. And, most of the time, you were glad that you did, except for nights like these.
You laughed incredulously. “Adam, she got mad at you for not being able to afford an expensive dress. She’s not really the best person.”
“She might not be the best all the time—”
You scoffed, grabbing his hands and holding them in yours as you stared at him intently. “You deserve someone who is the best all the time; someone who genuinely makes you happy; who doesn’t leave you like this every single night.” You deserve me, you wanted to say, but you clamped your lips shut before your true feelings could ever manage to escape.
Huffing and dismissing your words, he pushed you to the side, laying down on the small space beside you. His hands resting behind his head, he stared at the ceiling as you kept your arms secured to your sides. Sometimes you were scared to get too close to him, afraid of what you might do in a fit of spontaneity, scared that you could ruin your entire friendship in one heated moment.
“This whole girlfriend thing is so complicated,” he murmured absentmindedly before turning to the side, facing you. “Still up for the marriage at 30 rule?”
You shook your head, breathing out a laugh. “You wanna say that when you have a girlfriend right now?”
Adam shrugged. “Just taking extra precautions.”
Rolling your eyes, you spun onto your side, looking at him dead-on. “What if I end up in a relationship and you don’t?”
“Then I’ll ruin his fucking life,” he replied, a small smile dancing on his lips. You knew he was joking, but sometimes you wished he wasn’t. You wished he saw a life where you could be the one he marries, a life where he could be happy with you, not just as an extra precaution, but because he really wanted to.
“Will Kat be at the game tomorrow?” you asked randomly, as if the question just morphed itself out of thin air. She was never there. She was always busy with something: shopping with the girls, working out with a classmate, practicing cheer drills. You were so convinced that she has never even seen Adam in his hockey gear.
You were there every game, cheering him on from the student section, pretending not to catch the disappointed expression on his face every time he realized she wasn’t there—again.
And just like time and time before, Adam with his ever present hopeful spirit, sighed and said, “Hope so.”
They were up 4-1.
The children of Yost screamed so loud, you were sure that the top of the building could fly off at any minute. And just as Rutger Mcgroarty scored the last and final game-winning goal, making the score 5-1, the crowd burst into another set of chants as you watched the boys jump each other on the ice. Everyone looked so happy, and for the first time, that happiness included Adam.
You waited in the lobby, ready to congratulate him and the rest of the team on the win, like you do every game. Truth be told, you loved seeing a freshly showered Adam, high off a well-deserved win. And expecting to have to find his tall figure in the crowd of students, you jumped back as he found you immediately.
The lobby was crowded, excited conversations filing into the room, leaving Adam to shout in your direction. “I saw you out there!”
You rolled your eyes, laughing. “You see me every time!”
He smiled, his brows furrowing simultaneously as if realizing something. In mere seconds, he grabbed your hand, pulling you towards the exit. You wanted to protest, to tell him that you had to congratulate the rest of the boys, especially Luca, but Adam was holding your hand and it felt so perfect. It felt like this was your life. Adam holding your hand, pulling you to secluded spaces, spaces meant just for the two of you. It felt like it was meant to be, like you were made for this; for him.
You guys rounded the side of the building, your arms hugging your body as the snow slowly rained down on you two. The lights outside flickered dimly, but you saw his smile, and you didn’t care about anything but him. In your mind, it was just Adam, Adam, Adam.
“It’s so easy with you,” is the first thing he said. You pulled your brows together, confused as to what he meant by that. Noticing your expression, he went on. “I mean, tell me the last time you missed one of my games.”
You scoffed. “You are a conceited little shit, aren’t you?”
He shook his head, huffing out a laugh. “C’mon, just tell me.”
You racked your brain, trying to think back to the last time you missed one. And then, as if a lightbulb lit in your brain, you finally remembered. You think he remembered too. “We were 16, you were playing for the Chicago Steel, and I was dying from swine flu because your ass decided to make me a grilled cheese with expired butter.”
“Okay, okay!” He held his hands up in defense. “I did rush to your aid after the game, though.”
“Yeah, and you agreed to get me a wet towel if I watched an hour of your game highlights,” you retorted, the conversation replacing the chills in your body with warm, happy memories.
He stuffed his cold hands in his pockets, shrugging. “Well, my point is!” he said, sending you into a fit of laughter.
“You are so stupid!”
“And that was so uncalled for!” he chuckled, tilting his head down at you. You looked like some sort of snow princess with the white flakes delicately landing on your hair. Your cute nose was red and he watched you shiver as he slipped his arms around your torso, pulling you to his chest as your arms instinctively wrapped around him. It was foreign for the two of you to be hugging, but this one felt different.
“My point is,” he restarted. “you have been to almost all of my games.”
You nodded in response, wondering where this was going. And you were even more curious when he said, “What’s my favorite color?”
With no hesitation, you responded with, “Blue.”
“Where was I born?”
“Are you really making me do an Adam Fantilli quiz? I mean, I knew your ego was high, but—”
“C’mon,” he laughed, resting his chin on your head.
You smiled. “Nobleton.”
“My real name?”
“Adamo,” you answered before taking a step back from his grasp. “She didn’t know that?”
He shrugged. “She didn’t know anything about me—not like you do.”
You sighed. You didn’t want to do this while he was with Kat. While you didn’t like her, it felt wrong to think about him like this when you felt that, maybe just maybe, he might be thinking about you in the same way. “Adam—”
“I broke up with her last night when I left your dorm.”
Your head raised, meeting his gentle gaze. You were shocked. He liked her so much, I mean, he was defending her the entire night. What happened?
Holding your hands, just as you hand done to him the night before, he took a step closer as you felt the heat radiate off of him and onto you. “You told me I deserve someone who makes me happy. I deserve someone who won’t miss a single game unless I food poisoned her, who knows me—not just surface level me—who doesn’t make me feel bad about anything. I’m convinced I have never felt bad when I’m with you. You belong with me, Y/N, and... I have only ever belonged to you."

Times You Were “Just Friends”
(…But It Progressively Gets Worse)

Friends spend days on days together when they just meet, right?
You and Kent met during his last year at umich. He was in one of your electives, and the seat next to him was the only one available. There was a sort of connection immediately. You both kept stealing glances at one another, quickly looking away when the other would turn to look. His eyes were glued to you as you were concentrating on taking notes. You’d blush under the intensity of his stare, and he’d smile at the color in your cheeks. It’s the prettiest shade of maroon he’s ever seen. From that first day, you two have been inseparable. Kent easily got your number after stating it was always in good interest to exchange numbers with someone in your class to study or talk about work, but he really just wanted any excuse to talk to you. It led to multiple conversations in coffee shops, late night dinners at the dining hall, and a strong bond between the two of you. Only as friends, of course.
“I’m heading out, probably won’t be back till late so don’t wait up,” you tell your roommate and best friend.
“Seeing Kent?” She asks, a knowing smirk taking over her face. She knows there has to be something going on between the two of you.
“Maybe,” you mutter, not making eye contact.
“You guys have been hanging out a lot. When’s he going to ask you out?”
“We’re just friends,” you groan.
“Y’all are not just friends! Not when you hang out during every moment of free time y’all have. I’ve also seen the way you both look at each other. Something is going on,” she exclaims.
You shake your head, bidding goodbye and blowing her a quick kiss, wanting to escape her thoughts as soon as possible. You were just friends.
“Finally, you’re here!” Kent cheers, pulling you into his arms and into the house. His long arms wrap around your shoulders and yours wrap around his waist. He holds you tightly, and you smile up at him.
“Sorry,I took the long way to get here. Did you pick the movie?”
“Yes! I also ordered your favorite pizza.”
“You’re amazing. Carry me to your room? My legs hurt,” you say.
He doesn’t say anything else, just tosses you over his shoulder and takes you to his room, ready for your movie night.
Friends use pet names, right?
It took a lot of convincing and bribing on Kent’s behalf to get you right where you are right now. Seated in a movie theater, watching a scary movie. You hate scary movies, but Kent really wanted you to join him.
You’re almost 45 minutes into the movie, and you’re jumping at every little jump scare displayed on the large screen. At the moment, you’re crowded into KJ’s space, covering your ears, and practically shaking with nerves.
“Are you scared?” He asks nonchalantly.
You cast a glare in his direction, though you’re not sure he can actually see it in the dark room. You sit up straight, feigning frustration. You cross your arms over your chest and stare straight, ignoring his slightly worried glances.
“Don’t be scared, baby,” He whispers against the shell of your ear, and you have to fight off the chill threatening to come over your body. It’s the first time he’s ever used a pet name with you, and you hate to admit that you like it.
“I wouldn’t be scared if you just held me,” you mutter.
He lifts up the armrest between the both of you, guiding your body to lean against his. Soon enough, you’re wrapped in his arms, warmth, and smell. You could honestly fall asleep.
“I’m your baby?” You ask, looking up at him with doe eyes.
“You’re my baby,” he reaffirms, kissing your forehead and redirecting his attention back into the screen.
You smile shyly and relish in his affection, not so scared anymore.
Friends let themselves into each other’s apartments, right?
“Are you in class? There’s a surprise here waiting for you. I don’t know what it is or who it’s from,” your best friend says through the phone, looking at a sleeping Kent on your bed. She has a little smile, knowing that when you see him you’ll melt.
“I just got out. About 5 minutes away. How did it get into the apartment?” You ask confused.
“I brought it in,” she continued her lie, not trying to give anything away.
“Be there soon,” you say, hanging up and rushing over to your apartment.
When you get in, you rush to your room only to find Kent spread out on your bed, dead asleep. You smuggle the laugh bubbling out of you, melting at the sight of a large hockey player cuddled up in your bed, surrounded by pink sheets, soft blankets, and a few plushies.
“I thought you said you didn’t know what it was?” You turn to ask your best friend.
“Surprise!” She says in a whisper shout.
You turn back around, setting your belongings on the floor before crawling on your bed. You move slowly to not wake the man, swiftly resting part of your body on top of his. You feel his hand subconsciously rest on the small of your back. You card your fingers through his hair, pecking his cheek a few times. It results in a small, sleepy smile. Kent wakes up, stretching and readjusting himself so that his head rests on your chest.
“Hi, baby,” he mutters, lips moving across your collarbones.
“Hi. I didn’t know you were coming over,” you whisper.
“Came over to cuddle, but forgot you had a class. Practice was rough today,” he explains, cuddling deeper into you.
“I’m here now,” you say, completely unaware of your best friend snapping pictures of you two, being “just friends.”
Friends get handsy, right?
You and Kent are hanging out at a party someone was throwing off campus, but you’ve both have been doing your own thing the whole night. He’s been with his teammates and friends while you’ve been talking to this group of girls. As the night starts to dwindle down, you realize that you haven’t seen him for a while, so you go searching for him.
You find him at the kitchen island, a beer in his hand and a bright smile on his face. You adore his smile.
“Hey, I missed you,” you wrap your arms around his shoulders from behind, giggling at the look of shock on his face from not expecting anyone to pop out of nowhere.
“Jeez, you scared me,” he says with a small laugh.
“Sorry,” you apologize.
He brings you around so that you’re in front of him, hands landing on your waist.
“You’re beautiful,” he compliments.
You smile at him, still getting used to the frequent compliments from your friend. You just trace the outline of your favorite features of his. Starting at his nose and tracing his lips all the way down to the sharp edges of his jaw.
You both stare at each other in silence, despite everyone who is still around you both, talking and singing to whatever song is playing.
“Y/n!” You snap out of your haze, turning around to see one of the hockey girlfriends. You quickly embrace her in a hug and make small talk. As you continue talking, you feel KJ’s hand wrap around your stomach, pulling your body closer to his, so that you’re standing between his legs. Without thinking about it, your hand rests over his, intertwining together while you move to sit in his lap.
You don’t notice the knowing glances from everyone, because friends can sit on each other’s laps, right?
Friends sleep in the same bed together, right?
“Is it okay if I take off my shirt?” Kent asks, cheeks burning red.
“Well I’m not sleeping in your bed if you’re going to be wearing a shirt,” you tease, throwing one of his pillows at him.
He charges at you, gathering you in his arms and throwing you on the bed. He smiles wide at the sweet sound of your laughter. Wanting to continue to hear the sound, he starts tickling your stomach.
“KJ!!! Stop! Stop!,” you yell while also laughing.
“Are you guys having sex?” You hear from behind KJ’s bedroom door.
You whip the door open, eyes wide and ready to hurl something at Ethan as he stands there with a smirk.
“Does it look like we’re having sex?” You ask unamused.
“No but it kinda sounds like it.”
Before you can go at Ethan, Kent appears behind you, hand wrapping around your stomach to pull you into his body.
“We’re going to sleep, goodnight,” KJ says, pulling you towards the bed after closing his room door.
“Can I wear your shirt?” You dangle his discarded shirt in between two fingers.
“You better wear my shirt, or you’re sleeping on the floor,” he says playfully.
You fake laugh and mock his words, walking to the restroom to get changed.
“Woah, gimme a 360. You’re a smoke show,” he shouts.
“Shushhh…they’re going to think we’re fucking,” you jump on the bed, crawling your way up to where he’s laying. You rest your chin on his chest, letting your leg rest over both of his.
“I’m not opposed,” he jokes and you quickly cover his mouth with your hand.
“Goodnight you goof,” you giggle, turn off the light and cuddle right into his warm body.
“Goodnight, beautiful girl,” he says, kissing your forehead and rubbing your back.
Friends kiss, right?
“Thank you for rescuing me, although I don’t think I’ll survive the embarrassment that I’ll no doubt be feeling for the rest of my life,” you exaggerate.
You had a date tonight, but he stood you up . You ended up calling Kent and he was quick to pick you up.
“It’s nothing to be embarrassed about. If anything that guy should be embarrassed, he’s totally missing out,” he states, grasping your hand in his and caressing your knuckles with his thumb.
“I just want to experience a perfect date, you know. I want to be walked to my front door and be kissed like he’s been waiting to kiss me the entire night,” you pout, not realizing that you’ve already arrived at your apartment.
“Do you trust me?” He asks.
“Of course I trust you, KJ,” you answer back.
He pulls you into a hug, his head resting in the crook of your neck. You rub his back, cuddling a little closer because it’s freezing out. He notices your shivering and he cups your cheek, swiping your cold bitten skin. Your eyes are connected, staring so deeply into each other’s. You see the moment his eyes stare at your lips. You feel time freeze. You can hear your blood pumping in your ears and everything just disappears. His lips are on yours. The slight chapped skin of his lips pairs so well with your smooth ones. Kent has to resist the urge to moan when he tastes your cherry chapstick. Your heart is practically beating out of your chest and you know that when you separate, your lips will ache to be back on his. Friends can share platonic kisses, you’re sure of it. Your lips are puffy and scarlet when you both pull away. You look alluring, as you always do.
Kent stares at you with wide eyes, not really believing that he was brave enough to follow through with his plan. You grab ahold of his jacket, pulling his lips back to yours. You throw your arms around his neck and he lets his fingers tangle in your hair. Your kiss gets interrupted by your giggles. You pull away and rest your forehead over his heart.
“Do you feel like having a sleepover?” You ask with a shy smile.
“You mean I get to sleep in your comfortable as fuck bed? Hell yeah!” He lifts you in his arms and grabs your key to unlock the door, beyond ready for a sleepover.
Friends wear each other’s initials, right?
“Open my gift first,” Kent says, handing you a small, perfectly wrapped box.
You both decided to exchange only one gift the day before you both went home for the holidays. You were actually really nervous about getting him a gift, not wanting to pick something so sentimental, but also not wanting to pick something out that held no meaning. You were friends, it shouldn’t have been too hard.
“Any hints?” You ask, teasingly while shaking the box to see if you could hear what it could be.
“No, just open it and see.”
You unwrap the box, removing the lid to see the most precious necklace sparkling. It was a simple “K” pendant attached to a simple, silver chain. You trace the letter, repeatedly blinking, trying to process this moment. You feel your eyes tear up, but you don’t allow any tears to fall. Your heart is beating so fast, there’s no way a present should have this effect on you.
“Do you like it? It’s totally fine if you don’t. We can always exchange it for something else,” Kent rambles.
Before he can say anything else, you pull him into you. Your arms thrown around his shoulders and your face resting in his neck. His hands land on their rightful spot, the small of your back, holding you close, so afraid of you not liking his gift. You lean up closer to his face, attaching your lips to his. You move your hands to rest on the back of his neck to play with the hair there to soothe him. You feel his body melt into yours.
“Baby, I absolutely love it. It’s so beautiful,” you whisper against his lips, feeling that familiar, overwhelming wave of happiness when he smiles into your kiss.
“Really?” He asks bashfully, looking down.
“Yes, I love it so much,” you respond, hands on his cheeks so that he’s looking into your eyes.
“Can you put it on for me?” He nods, turning you around and clipping the necklace on for you.
“Looks beautiful,” he says, tracing the letter and your collarbones. You shiver at his touch.
“I’m never taking it off,” you admit, leaning in for another short kiss.
Friends fall in love, right?
The day had been fun-filled with endless activities.
During spring break, Kent thought it’d be a good idea for you to meet his family, as he was going back home for a family member’s wedding, and of course you weren’t going to deny him. It was so much fun and you found that you really enjoy being around his family. They brought you in so easily and made you feel like you belong right off the bat.
Today is the wedding, the reason why you met his family in the first place. You and KJ attend all the familial outings for the day. Early morning breakfast, a midafternoon game of golf, and now roaming around the wedding venue before the ceremony starts. You’re dressed in a simple, pink slip dress, and Kent is dressed in a nice, navy blue suit with a matching pink pocket square.
“You’re perfect,” he whispers to you, tucking a strand of your curled hair behind your ear.
You’re standing in the venue’s beautiful garden. It’s one of the most beautiful places you’ve ever seen.
“You flatter me too much,” you say, hand resting over his heart. You hope your blush does a good job at covering the natural blush caused by his words. You don’t think you’ll ever get used to his compliments.
“It’s true, though,” he states, pulling you into his arms. Your chin rests on his shoulders as your high heels give you somewhat of a boost. His hands rest on the small of your back, stroking the thin material of your dress.
“You’re the most beautiful person here,” he adds.
You gasp in fake shock.
“But your cousin is the bride,” you say, finally looking into his eyes.
He rolls his eyes playfully, tickling your sides so that you press yourself into his chest.
“Like I said, the most beautiful person here. In the world, actually,” he finishes, kissing your temple.
“Better keep the pda to a limit, or your family’s going to think we’re more than friends,” you tease, tugging on his hair.
“Let them think what they want,” he muses, pressing a soft kiss to your lips.
“C’mon, we need to head inside, the ceremony is about to start,” you say, hand falling into his hand to guide him inside.
The ceremony is beautiful, everything decorated in nice colors and patterns. It’s something out of a magazine.
You and Kent sit in your seats, eating, chatting, and watching as the newlyweds dance together. The time passes by so quickly, you almost forget that you haven’t danced with the one person you’ve been wanting to dance with the whole night. However, your attention gets drawn to the man when you feel him intertwine your fingers together.
“Want to dance?”
“Yes,” you agree without a second thought.
You both allow the music to guide your bodies in every direction on the dance floor, tuning out every stare and whisper being directed at you. You know there are people wondering about the state of your relationship with Kent, but you’re both just really good friends.
“I’m going to miss you,” you hear him whisper.
You know what he’s talking about, and you wish you could ignore it. Soon he’ll be leaving to Ohio to join the bluejackets. You’re proud of him, but you also don’t want to be without him.
“I’m going to miss you more. Who’s going to be my napping buddy? Who’s going to make sure I eat when I’m stressed? Who’s going to spend endless hours with me when we have nothing better to do? Excuse me,” you mutter, trying to pull away from his embrace. You didn’t need to cry in front of him.
“Where are you going?”
“Restroom.”
“Please stay. You can cry in front of me. I don’t care,” he holds onto you tighter, leaning his head down to press kisses into your neck.
“Want to head to the hotel?” He asks, referring to the hotel room he booked for the two of you.
Once you nod your head, he’s pulling you outside to wait for your uber. The whole ride is silent and thick with tension. He knows your disposition when you’re sad. You start to shut down and crowd into yourself as a way of protection. He wants nothing more than to comfort you, but he doesn’t want you to pull away completely.
You hightail it to the hotel room, bursting through the door and kicking off your shoes. You fight with the zipper of your dress, on the brink of a breakdown when you can’t reach the zipper. You turn to see Kent watching you in concern.
“Can you please unzip me?” You ask, voice so fragile.
He takes the zipper between his fingers, slowly lowering it while also letting his cold hands graze your bare back. He moves your hair to rest over your shoulder, bending down to place kisses on the back of your neck. Your breathing becomes labored and you feel your hands twitching, wanting to reach out for him. You feel his teeth nip at your skin which then gets soothed by his tongue. Your eyes roll to the back of your head when he starts to suck on the one sweet spot. He moves to kiss on the tops of your shoulders, also sucking to make your blood rush to the surface of your skin. Tossing your head back, you let out a sigh, one of your hands reaching back to grab onto him. When he’s done and there’s a red bruise appearing on your flesh, you turn in his hold. You pull off his jacket and quickly unbutton his button up. You pull on his belt, so that his body leans into yours and you both fall onto the bed, your lips locking.
He moves his body to rest in between your legs, his hands pressed into the bed above your head to hold himself over you. You trace the contour of his abs, lingering around the few bruises and scars that litter his skin from playing hockey. You grab the back of his neck, pulling him flush against you, and kissing him again. You let your hands wander the expanse of his back, enjoying the way his muscles flex under his skin.
The next morning, you’re waking up to Kent gliding his fingers along your back, your skin breaking out in goosebumps. His arm is snuggled underneath your head and is probably asleep and sore, but it’s comfortable for you.
“Are you awake?” He breaks the silence, fingers stilling and tension replacing the overall serene atmosphere.
Instead of responding, you turn in his arms to face him. The arm you were sleeping on now rests on the small of your back. He moves the hair away from your face, letting his eyes take you in. The sparkling “K” necklace rests perfectly in the dip of your collarbones. Collarbones that are littered with love bites. He closes his eyes, picturing the way your body arched into his when he made you his own, and the way your breathy moans are the most heavenly sounds. You see his lips turn up into a smile, you smile in return.
“You’re my best friend,” he says, staring deeply into your eyes.
You can feel your smile dim. “Best friend,” you forgot that that’s all that you are. His best friend. After so long of telling everyone, including yourself, that you were just friends, this time hurts the most.
His thumb swipes over your cheek and then swipes over your bottom lip.
“You’re my best friend and I love you so much,” he declares, resting his forehead on yours.
Your heart starts beating faster and suddenly you want to cry. It’s your turn to let your hands rub along his shoulders and back. Your eyes are still closed, convinced that this is all some insane dream. Because you don’t tell your friends that you love them, not the way Kent said it so tenderly and so sincerely. He’s just as in love with you as you are in love with him.
Your sniffles alarm him, making his head shoot up to look at you.
“It’s totally fine if you don’t feel the same. I probably shouldn’t have sprung this on you so suddenly,” he rambles, starting to choke up.
You shake your head, but he continues rambling, so you do the only thing you can do and quiet him with a kiss. You repeatedly peck his lips and all over his jaw and neck.
“I love you. God, I’m so in love with you,” you proclaim.
“But… How are we going to make this work? You’re leaving soon,” you mutter.
“Distance doesn’t matter, not when it comes to us. You’re my baby. I love you and I’m not letting you go. We’re going to be fine. It’ll all work out,” he swears and you believe him.
a/n: I had a lot of fun making this one, so I hope you all enjoy!!!

We're living different lives
Heaven only knows
If we'll make it back with all our fingers and our toes
Five years, twenty years, come back
It will always be the same
For the first time since the end of August, all of the Fantilli siblings would be under one roof. Albeit, only for three days, but it was three days that they were determined to make count.
Luca was the first to fly home, following the conclusion of the first semester. About a week later, came the twins. First was Gianna, who left straight from the rink in Nashville (as Luca could tell by the wet hair she was sporting), nearly forgetting to even tell her teammates she was leaving, eager for whatever scraps of time she could get with her family.
The minute his baby sister stepped off that plane, it was as if someone had lifted the weight of the world off his shoulders. He threw his arms around her, smothering his face in her hair as he inhaled the scent of the shampoo she’d been using since she was 14. Gianna returned the sentiment, clinging onto her older brother as if he was the only thing keeping her afloat. “Lu,” she cried into his shoulder, the relief of being reunited with one of her brothers, one of the people whose presence had been so distinctly woven into her life force, that the past few months of separation has been akin to torture, making it’s way to the surface. “Gi,” he said soothingly, tilting her head back so he could wipe her tears, the same way he used to when she was learning to skate all those years ago. A watery smile made its way onto his face as he uttered the words he’d been rehearsing for the past week, “Welcome back sorella.”
At the familiar term of endearment only her family was privy to, she launched herself at Luca, her arms encircling his neck as she began crying again. At last, her tears dried up, and she unpried herself from her Luca, mostly at the insistence of her stomach. “Now, can I go grab a snack before Mo gets here? I’d wait, but I haven’t eaten since before the game yesterday,” Gianna questioned while quickly taking out her phone to make sure her face wasn’t too terribly swollen from the tears she’d just shed. “Sure Gi, go ahead,” he responded while glancing down at his phone to check for any updates from Adam. A few beats of silence passed, before Luca glanced up, confused as to why she hadn’t walked away. He locked eyes with Gianna, who stood there awkwardly, rocking back and forth on her heels. “Do you want anything?” She questioned, voice as earnest as it always had been. He shook his head softly, and she quickly pivoted on her feet and made her way to the nearest coffee shop. Luca stared after her, a small smile on his face- it was like the old days. As long as he ignored the looming feeling of dread, dread at the fact that their time was limited, that she and Adam (who wasn’t even here yet) both left in two (technically three) days, he could pretend it was just like the old days.
Around an hour later, the third piece of their puzzle was getting off of his flight. Luca shook Gianna awake, who had fallen asleep on his shoulder shortly after returning with her snack, and barely got out the words, “Mo’s flight just landed,” before she shot up out of her seat, as if pure caffeine had just been injected into her veins. Without haste, Gianna threw herself to her feet, before quickly turning around and yanking Luca to his. “C’mon Lu, be ready- wait, which direction will he be coming from?” She spoke, the words rolling off of her tongue, too fast for her brain to comprehend, excitement taking over her body at the prospect of finally being in the same place as both of her brothers. “Should come from the left, if I scoped out the place correctly,” he said while wrapping an arm around her shoulders, as if to hold the girl back from sprinting to Adam the second she saw him.
About twenty minutes pass, before finally, Gianna catches a glimpse of the “stupid and entirely unnecessary” beanie she forced Adam to wear, so they’d be able to spot the boy from a distance. “Lu I think see him,” Gianna expressed excitedly, the girl beginning to bounce up and down on her heels, Once Adam got within a few feet of the pair, both siblings took off towards Adam, wrapping him in what their parents (who had elected to stay home, both to give the siblings time to reunite, but also to get some sleep- which they knew would be hard to do having all of their babies under one roof again) would call a “Fantilli take-down,” mostly because, had Adam not planted his feet on the ground in preparation, he easily would've fallen straight to the airport ground, which he was not about to do. The moment he felt the arms of his siblings encase him, he dropped his bags to the floor and wove his arms around someone, though he wasn't sure who, because their three bodies were so intricately woven together in this moment, it was impossible to tell where Luca ended and Gianna began. He tried to force a few words out of his mouth, but the emotional shell shock at finally reuniting with his best friends had seemingly made his brain short circuit. Yet, there was no doubt that the silent sobs that wracked his shoulders, and the tears on his cheeks said all of the words he couldn’t.
For this one brief moment, it was like the world stopped. For the first time in about four months, the pieces of the tattered, kindred spirits that resided in the each of three siblings, were at peace. At that moment, they were one soul, split into three hearts.

Lavender Haze
adam fantilli x hughes!sister
lavender haze
a.n. :: this is a short part 1 in the fic!! let me know what you think <3
Tumblr media
My life was theoretically falling apart. Well, maybe not my life, that was a tad dramatic. But my mind was.
On a late-night walk around campus – during which I discovered my headphones were dead – my mind began swirling with thoughts that I’d been drying to drown out for months. Noise cancelling headphones tended to help with that.
Those thoughts that currently plagued my mind were distracting me from my current surroundings, which probably wasn’t the safest place to be at eleven o’clock at night. But I had to sit down, there was too much going on inside for me to process.
Like the fact that my life was only now really beginning – and not in the way that you think it does when you get to high school, or apply to college. I was having to make important decisions. But they were already made for me. By me. I’d made these decisions for myself a long time ago, but now, after months of living on my own and beginning to discover myself, I discovered that the things that I used to think I wanted, were things that I really thought people wanted of me. And this realization during my late-night walk was currently sending me into a spiral.
“Are you okay?”
The male voice made me nearly jump out of the bench seat. I put my hand to my chest, trying to steady my heart rate.
“Oh my God, you scared the shit out of the me.”
The man, who, I won’t lie, was extremely attractive, grinned at me. Even under the dull campus lamp, his smile was bright as can be. He was tall, although him standing and me sitting probably skewed my judgment a little bit.
“Sorry,” he said, still grinning down at me. “Didn’t mean to, just wanted to check and make sure you were okay.”
“I’m okay,” I replied.
This probably wasn’t the best response to give someone who was checking in on your well-being, and my assumption was proven correct when he tilted his head to the side slightly, like he was urging me to explain my current predicament. I didn’t though.
“Can I sit?”
I nodded, and he took a seat next to me. He offered his hand, which I shook with my own. He looked so familiar, especially now that I was seeing him this close up. But I couldn’t exactly place where I’d seen him before. Maybe he was in one of my classes?
“Adam.”
“yn.”
His grin, if possible, got even wider.
“You seem to look very familiar to me, yn. Have we met before?”
After his sentence, it hit me. He was one of Luke’s new teammates. I didn’t get the chance to meet them during the summer, when he invites the team to our house for a couple weeks, but I’d seen plenty of videos and pictures of the team’s summer at our house.
“No, we’ve never met.”
This time though, I smiled at him. Based on the way his grin changed into a smirk, he was in on this charade of pretending that we don’t know each other, even though we were destined to meet in a couple days when the hockey season began.
“Is there any particular reason you’re sitting out here in the dark?”
“Oh, just a slight mid-life crisis. No big deal.”
Adam seemed to think that maybe it actually was a big deal. And it was, but I was never going to admit that to myself.
“Maybe, if you tell someone about your mental breakdown, you’ll feel better about it. I mean, it works for me when I’m freaking out.”
I really didn’t want to tell this guy who I’d never met before about the fact that I was regretting my profession choice. Or that I was about to have a nervous breakdown because after this year, my brother was going to leave, and if I didn’t make any friends freshman year, I wouldn’t have anyone after he leaves. Except for his teammates, but I think they gave me more of a pity friendship.
“You don’t have to tell me,” Adam said, interrupting my spiral. “But I could help you get your mind off of it, if you want to.”
I scrunched my nose, “Ew, no. I don’t want to –”
“That’s not what I meant!” he quickly interjected. “I can provide you with a distraction that doesn’t involve you being with another person. It would require you to leave campus though.”
“Leave campus? How do I know you’re not going to murder me?”
He laughed. Even in my mental state, the laugh did something to me. It sounded so carefree, like everything in his life was going exactly as he had hoped. Although, I suppose it was.
“Do you want to call your brother for reassurance? Or keep pretending like you’ve never met me before?”
Oh. He was confident, too. But I guess I should have expected that, nearly all of my brother’s friends seemed to be way more confident that they should be. I decided to live on the edge for once and play along with his charade.
“How did you know I have a brother?”
I stood, smiling at him. Now I was the one to look down as I spoke to him.
“As long as we’re not going to a frat, I don’t really care where you take me.”
“How do you feel about Canada?”

𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐒, 𝐁𝐀𝐁𝐘
Tumblr media
in which luke witnesses your shot at the national championship.
warnings; none that i can think of (may upset some wisconsin fans, sorry if this is too soon)
If you could tell the hockey gods to go to hell at this moment, you would not hesitate.
March 24, 2024. Whittemore Center Arena, University of New Hampshire. The University of Wisconsin vs. The Ohio State University. 2 vs. 1. A little over eight minutes left in the game. The score? 0-0.
Despite outshooting Wisconsin throughout the entire game, you had not scored a single goal. You had had a few close chances, sliding in past Wisconsin’s defensemen a few times, but just couldn’t convert. At this point, you were thanking Raygan for her outstanding performance in goal. But most definitely not the hockey gods.
The voice of Coach Muzerall fluttered through your ears as she told you all to give it everything you got. You were sure Mark Johnson was giving the same speech to his girls at the opposing bench, but honestly, you were too nervous to care. Your eyes wandered around the arena in hopes of finding the only person who could offer any comfort at the moment — Luke.
Unfortunately, Luke had missed the past few games of the NCAA tournament — even your earlier Frozen Four game against Clarkson — because of his schedule with the Preds. Luckily for you, the team was rewarded with a complete off day after their win over Detroit last night. So Luke did the only he could think of. He bought a plane ticket to Durham as soon as he landed in Nashville, and ubered to the arena in order to see you play. You woke up to a text saying that he’d be there, and were beyond excited (and relieved).
As you skated onto the ice in preparation to resume the game, you were able to locate him about halfway up in the stands. He was on his feet, decked up in his scarlet and gray apparel, with a buckeye necklace hanging around his neck. In his hands was a sign that read ‘BUCKEYES > BUCKY’. A small smile crept its way onto your face, wondering where he would have even gotten the materials to make it, but you didn’t care. His support meant everything.
After moving your eyes off of Luke, you focused on Cayla Barnes, who was stationed off to the right of you. She gave you a quick nod, and you knew she meant business. Just as you focused your attention back on the ice, the puck had dropped, with the Badgers winning the draw.
You quickly moved into your own zone, parking yourself in front of the nearest Wisconsin player, which happened to be Britta Curl. The puck passed back and forth between a few of the players before Laila Edwards ended up taking a shot. Raygan managed to kick save it out of your zone as most of your teammates went to make a line change.
They weren’t quick enough, however. Wisconsin had managed to quickly pass the puck out of their zone to center ice, where Curl was waiting patiently with her stick. The puck fell into line perfectly as she entered your zone. You rushed back as fast as you could as you saw Raygan prepare for a wrist shot, and somehow managed to poke the puck away as you tangled up with her. This time, the puck landed right on Cayla’s stick.
Cayla quickly rushed up ice as you let out a small breath. You followed suit, backing her up in case a Wisconsin player managed to steal the puck back. It didn’t take long, however, for Cayla to find Hannah Bilka at center ice, with Joy Dunne on her tail.
You held your breath as the puck landed on Joy Dunne’s stick. If there was one person who wasn’t going to fail you, it was her. She was your team’s leading point scorer with 38 points on the year (23 of which were goals), the WCHA Rookie of the Year, and the NCAA Rookie of the Year. Almost immediately, she sent the puck flying right past McNaughton’s glove and into the goal.
Cheers erupted from the ice, bench, and stands as you were swallowed up into a team huddle by the glass. Joy excitedly made an “O-H” with her hands before embracing you all and making her way to the bench. You smiled softly and looked up at the clock — 7:13 left in the third. You skated off the ice and Stephanie Markowski took your place by center ice.
Locating Luke again, a bright smile was plastered wide across his face as he watched the replay. He had met Joy, who you embraced as a little sister, when he had come to campus to visit you earlier during the all star break. Needless to say, he was proud of her, as anyone should be. What you didn’t know, however, is just how proud he was of you. Your defensive poke-check set the scoring play into motion and here you were just over seven minutes away from winning the national championship.
Time couldn’t have passed more slowly for you as the clock wound down. Wisconsin had created many more scoring opportunities, but just couldn’t convert (you had to thank Raygan once again). You were back on the ice with two minutes to go, scrambling back into the defensive zone as the Badgers pulled McNaughton in order to gain an extra attacker. Your heart raced as you saw Casey O’Brien rush onto the ice, skating swiftly towards your goal.
You knew nothing good was going to happen if you couldn’t calm down. So, as the puck was passed to Ava Murphy, you took a deep breath and raced in front of her as she wound up for a slap shot. As she let go of the puck, you dove in front of it, the puck redirecting off of your ankle and into neutral territory.
Man, did that hurt like a motherfucker. The crowd simultaneously grimaced and cheered for you as you recollected yourself off of the ice. You swear you could hear Luke’s voice yelling your name out of the entire crowd, telling you to get up and kick ass.
The puck was quickly regathered by Caroline Harvey as she circled through neutral ice, waiting for her teammates to reenter the zone. Once completed, the puck was passed to Lacey Eden as Emma Peschel tried to poke it away, but in vain. Caroline passed it to Charla Edwards, who lined up to take a shot from the blue line. None of your teammates were guarding her, so you did what you had to do. You once again skated up and prepared your body to be hit with a hard piece of vulcanized rubber. When it did, you fell to the ground, but got right back up as cheers erupted once again.
“Let’s go, Y/N!” Quinn Kuntz yelled from the bench, and you struggled to skate, but the puck had bounced right back to Edwards. Instead of trying to move around you, she wound up for another slap shot, but that one didn’t get past you either. The puck once again hit your body as you blocked the shot, falling to the ice once again. Finally, Emma was able to clear the zone as the puck raced towards the other end of the ice.
At that moment, you used your stick to propel you towards the bench. You knew you weren’t seriously injured — you’d just have a few bad bruises here and there — but your body hurt like a bitch from taking all of those shots. You were greeted with pats on the back from all your teammates on the bench as Hannah jumped back on in your place. You smiled softly as a response, focusing on the jumbotron to see the time left in the game.
One minute. If you could hold off Wisconsin for one minute, you would be a national champion. You watched anxiously as your teammates tried to clear the zone towards the now empty net of Wisconsin, but to no avail. Finally, Joy had managed to send it down the length of the ice, which forced a quick line change. You hopped on the ice with around 30 seconds left and made your way into the defensive zone yet again.
Since McNaughton was pulled, the Badgers had an extra attacker, which made it harder to defend your goal than usual. You weren’t going to give up that easily, however. The puck was passed back in forth between the six Badgers on the ice, each one of them waiting for the perfect shot. The clock wound down as the puck finally landed on Sophie Hegleson’s stick.
Everything seemed to move in slow motion. You could hear nothing as you once again forced yourself to skate in front of her, knowing that this goal would change the trajectory of the game. Your teammates were counting on you, so you were going to give it your all. You braced yourself for impact as the puck hit your back, your body sacrificing itself for the win exactly as the buzzer went off.
The game was over. You were officially a national champion. The sounds of your teammates yelling filled your ears as you let your body collapse to the ice, both in pain and in shock. You took your helmet off to gather yourself as a small smile made its way across your face. You had done it.
Emma skated over to you and pulled you up off of the ice, and you both rushed over to join the dog pile of your teammates on top of Raygan. Although you couldn’t see him, Luke was smiling down at you, a look of immense pride present on his face. He fumbled with the buckeye necklace hanging around his neck as he couldn’t contain his excitement, knowing that you were a national champion.
After you all had settled down and received your medals (but not before shaking hands and congratulating Wisconsin on their tremendous effort), you were allowed to bring family members and friends onto the ice to take pictures. As Luke made his way onto the ice, you excitedly skated over to him, and his arms were wide open to catch you. You smiled widely, your eyes shining brightly, “I did it, Luke. I really did it.”
He cupped your face with his hands, nodding his head in agreement, “You did it, my love. I’m so fucking proud of you.”
You smiled brightly up at him again, your eyes swelling with tears. Luke pulled you into another hug, gently kissing the top of your head, “Go celebrate with your teammates. I’ll be right here waiting for you when you’re done.” He reassured, giving you a soft smile as he wiped away some stray tears that had fallen with the pads of his thumbs. You nodded, skating over and joining Joy. When you were finally given the trophy after she did, you hoisted it high up into the air, ready to show it off to the entire world.
After all, it’s always been Ohio against the world.

The car was filled with a palpable tension as Adam and I made our way to the draft venue. The streets of Tennessee were bustling with activity, but inside the car, it felt like time had slowed down, each second ticking by with agonizing slowness.
Adam sat beside me, staring out the window with a look of deep concentration on his face. I reached over and took his hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze.
"Hey," I said softly, trying to break the silence. "Are you okay?"
Adam turned to look at me, his eyes meeting mine. He took a deep breath, his grip tightening around my hand. "Yeah, I'm okay," he replied, his voice tinged with nervousness. "Just trying to take it all in, you know? This is a big moment."
I nodded, squeezing his hand once more. "I know it is, Adam. But remember, no matter what happens today, I'm so proud of you. You've worked incredibly hard to get to this point, and no matter where you end up, you're going to do amazing things."
Adam smiled, his eyes softening. "Thanks, Y/N. That means a lot to me. I couldn't have done any of this without you by my side."
As the car continued to weave through the city streets, the anticipation in the air was almost tangible. The draft represented the culmination of years of hard work and dedication for Adam, and the weight of the moment was not lost on either of us.
"I'm really excited to see where you end up," I said, trying to lighten the mood. "Any team would be lucky to have you."
Adam chuckled, his nerves slightly easing. "Thanks, Y/N. I appreciate that. Honestly, I'm just excited to finally know where I'll be playing and to start this new chapter in my life."
As we approached the venue, the excitement and energy of the event began to seep through the car windows. Fans dressed in team jerseys lined the streets, cheering and waving signs in support of their favorite teams. Reporters and camera crews were everywhere, capturing the anticipation and excitement of the day.
The car came to a stop in front of the venue, and for a moment, everything seemed to stand still. Adam turned to me, his eyes filled with determination and excitement.
"Here goes nothing," he said, leaning in to kiss me softly.
"Good luck, Adam," I whispered as he pulled away, my heart filled with pride and excitement for what the future held.
With one final reassuring squeeze of my hand, Adam opened the car door and stepped out, ready to face whatever the draft had in store for him.
As I watched him walk towards the entrance, a wave of emotions washed over me. Today was a big day for Adam, a day that would change the course of his life forever. And as nervous as I was for him, I knew that he was ready for whatever challenges lay ahead.
Taking a deep breath, I opened the car door and followed Adam into the venue, ready to support him every step of the way on this incredible journey.

The room was buzzing with excitement and tension. Everywhere I looked, people were chattering, cameras were flashing, and reporters were eagerly awaiting the moment. But amidst all the chaos, my eyes were fixed on one person—Adam.
We had been dating for a while now, and I couldn't be prouder of him. Today was the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice. Getting drafted into the NHL was a dream come true for him, and I was beyond thrilled to be by his side on this monumental day.
As the time neared for the draft to begin, Adam squeezed my hand reassuringly. "Are you nervous?" he asked, his eyes meeting mine.
"A little," I admitted, "but mostly excited. This is your day, Adam. I'm so proud of you."
He smiled, his eyes sparkling with a mixture of excitement and anticipation. "Thanks, Y/N. Having you here means the world to me."
Before I could respond, the draft began, and the room fell into a hushed silence. Each team took their turn announcing their picks, and with every passing moment, the tension in the room grew.
Finally, it was the Columbus Blue Jackets' turn to announce their pick. My heart was pounding as I held Adam's hand tightly, waiting for his name to be called.
"With the third overall pick, the Columbus Blue Jackets are proud to select...Adam Fantilli!"
As his name echoed throughout the room, Adam turned to me with a beaming smile. Without hesitation, he leaned down and kissed me passionately, the weight of the moment sinking in. The room erupted into applause and cheers, but in that moment, it felt like we were the only two people in the world. Pulling away, Adam looked at me with tears in his eyes. "We did it," he whispered, his voice choked with emotion.
"No, you did it" I replied, tears of joy streaming down my face. "I'm so proud of you, Adam. You deserve this more than anyone."
The rest of the day was a whirlwind of interviews, photo shoots, and celebrations. Adam was swarmed by reporters wanting to get his thoughts on being drafted and his plans for the future. Through it all, he remained humble and gracious, always taking the time to thank his family, teammates, and coaches for their support.

Interviewer: "Congratulations, Adam, on being drafted third overall by the Columbus Blue Jackets! How are you feeling right now?"
Adam: "Thank you! I'm feeling incredibly excited and grateful for this opportunity. It's a dream come true for me."
Interviewer: "You've had an amazing journey to get to this point. Can you talk a bit about the support system you've had along the way?"
Adam: "Absolutely. My family has been my rock throughout this entire process. My older brother, Luca, has always been there for me, pushing me to be the best version of myself both on and off the ice. He's been a huge influence on my career, and I'm so grateful to have him in my life."
Interviewer: "That's wonderful to hear. And what about your girlfriend, Y/N? We saw her cheering for you in the audience. How important has she been in your journey to the NHL?"
Adam: "Y/N has been incredible. She's been with me through all the ups and downs, always supporting me and believing in me, even when I doubted myself. Having her by my side today was really special, and I can't thank her enough for everything she's done for me."
Interviewer: "It sounds like you have an amazing support system. What are you most looking forward to as you begin your career with the Columbus Blue Jackets?"
Adam: "I'm really excited to join such a great organization and to start this new chapter in my life. I'm looking forward to working hard, improving my game, and hopefully making a positive impact on the team. I can't wait to get started."
Interviewer: "Well, Adam, we're excited to see what the future holds for you. Congratulations again on being drafted, and best of luck in your NHL career!"
Adam: "Thank you so much!"

The hotel room was a welcome sanctuary from the whirlwind of the day. As the door clicked shut behind us, the noise and excitement of the outside world seemed to fade away, leaving just Adam and me in our own little bubble.
Adam let out a long sigh, sinking down onto the plush sofa in the corner of the room. I followed suit, sitting beside him and taking a moment to catch my breath.
"What a day," Adam said, running a hand through his hair. His eyes still held the sparkle of excitement, but there was also a hint of exhaustion there.
"It was incredible," I agreed, leaning my head on his shoulder. "But also a bit overwhelming, don't you think?"
He chuckled softly, wrapping an arm around me. "Definitely. But having you by my side made it all worthwhile."
I smiled, looking up at him. "I'm so proud of you, Adam. You handled everything so gracefully today."
He smiled back, his eyes softening. "Thanks, Y/N. I couldn't have done it without you."
We sat in comfortable silence for a few moments, simply enjoying each other's company and the quietude of the room. The soft glow of the city lights streamed in through the window, casting a gentle ambiance over the space.
Finally, Adam broke the silence, his voice tinged with curiosity. "So, what's next for us? Any plans for celebrating?"
I grinned, leaning back to look at him. "Well, I thought we could order some room service, maybe watch a movie, and just relax. How does that sound?"
Adam's face lit up at the suggestion. "That sounds perfect."
I picked up the phone and ordered some food, choosing a selection of our favorite dishes to indulge in. As we waited for our meal to arrive, Adam scrolled through the TV channels, eventually settling on a classic movie that we both loved.
When the food arrived, we made ourselves comfortable on the bed, digging into the delicious spread while watching the movie. The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy, a stark contrast to the excitement and chaos of the day.
As the movie played on, Adam pulled me close, wrapping his arms around me and holding me tightly against him. I nestled into his embrace, feeling a sense of contentment and happiness wash over me.
"I love you, Y/N," Adam whispered, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of my head.
"I love you too, Adam," I replied, smiling up at him.
We continued to watch the movie, our hearts full and our minds at ease. It had been an unforgettable day, filled with highs and lows, excitement and anticipation. But now, as we sat together in the comfort of our hotel room, all that mattered was the love we shared and the promise of a bright future ahead.

oh a
“Can you stay with me?”  “Of course, my love.  Always.” after his injury she comes down to him ?
She was pacing in Adam’s apartment worried sick after seeing him get injured in the game yesterday. She knew he was coming home today and she just needed to see with her eyes that he was okay.
She heard the door unlock and she saw Adam on a knee scooter rolling into the apartment with a dejected look on his face and his backpack on his back.
“Oh A.” She whispered in relief rushing over to him, Adam looked up tears filling his eyes and the second she was in his reach was wrapping his arms around her tightly hiding his face in her chest starting to cry.
“Ssh let it all out my love.” She cooed brushing her fingers through his hair as he cried againt her chest, she knew how upset he was getting injured in his rookie year.
She placed soft kisses on top of his head just holding her boyfriend letting him cry out all of the emotions he’s been holding in.
“I’m out eight week.” Adam sadly whispered once he calmed down slightly.
Her grip tightened on her boyfriend feeling terrible for him, “I’m sorry.” She held him tightly.
“Can you stay with me?” Adam softly questioned not wanting her to go home.
“Of course, my love. Always.” She softly responded and reluctantly let go of Adam and helped him take his back pack off and let him go into his bedroom and getting into bed, she helped him slip his shoes off and get under the cover.
She grabbed a pillow for his leg and put it under his leg before sliding into the bed and Adam immediately cuddled up next to her relaxing against her.

💌 adam fantilli????
AAA IVE BEEN ON SUCH AN ADAM HIGH ofc ofc
Tumblr media
"Come with me," he whispered in your ear, his voice a soft melody that painted love notes on the canvas of your mind. With Adam, everything faded away. Stars lost their sparkle, the prettiest of colors were found within his eyes, and the fictional characters you knew only in the books--who treated the girl right, who never missed a beat--were right there--with Adam.
As the ocean serenaded in the background, the expansive beach lay forgotten as you furrowed your brows, lifting your head from his chest. Wrapped in his oversized UMich hoodie, you gazed at him like a lost puppy.
He loved those eyes, your smile, and the way your laughter lit up your face. That was his favorite thing, you know--- making you laugh. Just to see that smile.
He had missed that smile since moving to Ohio. At the draft, once his name was called, you felt an exhale escape your lips. You were glad that he didn't have to be across the country had he been drafted to the Ducks, but Columbus still felt so far. You missed him. You knew it, Luca knew it, your parents knew it too. You weren't you without him, and knowingly, he wasn't Adam without you.
You furrowed your brows. "Where?"
He grinned softly. "Columbus? I just bought an apartment there. My bed is extra big," he teased, "and I hate being away from you."
"I hate it too," you whispered.
Drawing you closer, he enveloped you in his arms, your head finding solace on his chest as he ran his fingers through your hair. His heart raced with the fear of rejection, afraid that moving in together might strain your relationship; that you might not want it--want him.
But then you said, "Okay," so softly that Adam wondered if he had imagined it.
"Okay?" he asked.
“Okay.”
In a surge of joy, he swept you up into his arms, showering kisses all over your face as you giggled, simultaneously pushing him away and pulling him closer.
Grinning, a rosy hue spread across his cheeks as he gazed down at you. "Good, because I can't really get a refund on the vanity I may have gotten you a couple of days ago."
