Mixed and Implied Conditionals

  Mixed Conditionals:

Mixed conditionals are a combination of elements from both the second and third conditionals. These types of conditional sentences involve a present or future unreal condition and a past unreal result, or vice versa. Mixed conditionals are useful for expressing complex relationships between past, present, and future situations.   Here are examples and explanations for two common types of mixed conditionals:   Present unreal condition with past unreal result:  If I knew (past indefinite) you were coming, I would have baked (would + present perfect) a cake.   Past Unreal Condition with Present Unreal Result: If she had studied harder (past perfect), she would have a better job now (would + base form).     Time Shift: In mixed conditionals, there is a temporal shift between the condition and the result. The condition may be related to the present or future, while the result is related to the past.      

Implied Conditionals:

In an implied conditional scenario, where the result is understood without being explicitly stated, the conditional clause is often implied rather than explicitly mentioned.   I didn't know you were in town. I should have picked you up from the airport.   Implied Conditional: If I had known you were in town, I would have picked you up from the airport.     He never invited me to the party. LINK LOST/BAD is so interesting...because not one of the Avengers had any interest in the first place to let go. not one of them ESPECIALLY jalter and dantes... wanted to let go. but it needs to be done. so dantes has guda BE the one to reject them. reject the very embodiment of the flames of vengeance and its temptations, (maybe also reject their right for revenge) in order to move forward.

accepting to let them go and the Avengers (convinced by monte cristo) as well made guda's connection to them become 'lost'. however LINK BAD can be interpreted as the combinationof 'determination' and 'lingering affection' 's sheer love that he cant help but answer the call. he cant help but establish the connection still because his accomplice still wishes for it. guda still wishes to spend more time with dantes because he's been a comfort in their entire journey.

the weight on their shadow had been a reassuring presence all this time. more so when he had always been there to witness things guda wouldnt be able to remember when they become conscious.

so to feel such emptiness in their shadow must have been a jarring experience almost similar to when they lost romani...its been years since they truly lost someone theyve been close to all these years after all. da vinci remains in some way even if shes gone but the losses that have traumatized guda the most was when mash died at temple of time and especially romani. its link bad because monte cristo is still holding onto the connection as best as he can on his end all for the star he loved so much...tears in my eyes

You guys don't understand how thankful i am for dtkq friendships. Because they are just a bunch of guys that happen to meet through fucking minecraft out of all things and they just clicked together. The odds of that happening are so low, because it's not it's just like "Oh yeah Karl is friends with Sapnap and Dream" or "Quackity is friends with George and Karl". They are ALL friends. Bests friends. The five of them have an excellent dynamic no matter if they are together or it's just two of them, any combinationof them works perfectly. They love each other so much!!! And they show it!!! These are guys who grew up in gaming spaces— we know how toxic those places are, but they are not like that. These are grown men who aren't ashamed of showing their appreciation for their friends, who aren't ashamed of saying "I love you", who aren't ashamed of hugging and holding hands and dancing with their friends. And they share it to the world! The little kids who watch their content, specially little boys, are growing up without that toxic masculinity ideal of men being all hard and with no feelings. That is so very important, we are getting a new generation that is not afraid or ashamed to love. And not only that, but dtkq also pass that onto their bigger group of friends and before you know it, you've got a decent sized group of content creators that openly express their love for their friends!!! Isn't that awesome?? I'm so thankful for them because they're changing a generation without even realizing and this is just the beginning. The second they all get to be together they're gonna be glowing and they're gonna explode, because that's who they are, chaotic guys with lots of love to give.

Combinationof me knowing about Ace months in adance so the hype had faded by reveal and then being whelmed when there was no character to him fml. I have very few ships I've ever gotten into an they've always at least had some sort of canon hint or reasoning? I get that Ace is fun to tack any perssonality you want onto him and people enjoy using him in ships but he's little more than a cardboard standee in my head fml. To elaborate here, I totes wish I /did/ like it cos there's tons of great content but that shit just don't hit for me haha. More power to the people that do, though! To each their own 💙

tony stark: what’s your dream job?

I think I've said something similar about this before but it's less a specific job and more what the job allows me to do. I like any job that makes me use my brain and allows creative thinking. There definitely has to be enough variety in daily tasks and a bit of a combinationof easier things and harder things. I need to have the ability to fire rude clients. At some point I wouldn't mind managerial if only to yell at people to do their job (omg). Not being denied vacation time is a must because traveling for me is super important. Some day, it'd be neat to have a job that allows remote work (though it is definitely something you have to discipline yourself in). Or convince my job to allow me to do it.

I really like what I do now, which is SEO and some freelance web design and illustration (mainly portraiture) on the side. I have a steady gig and then can do things I really like without worrying about making a living out of something that fluctuates in busyness. And in my main gig I can see the things I do have an actual impact for my clients' businesses which is awesome. I also get to learn how to do new things all the time so I really enjoy that.

carol danvers: if you had any superpower, what would it be?

The ability to read, write, speak, and understand any language I come across. I keep hitting road blocks with just trying Spanish and man, I'd love this so much. There is a story out there of a guy who had a coma for a few days and came out of it knowing another language (German IIRC). I want that as my superhero origin story. Unfortunately statistically I'm more likely to kill myself in the attempt so no trying to induce coma for superpowers.

Pluto. Don't any monsters dare come tell me it's not a planet. It will always be a planet in my heart.

Fun fact: My grandmother was alive both when it originally became a planet and when it was officially removed of the status.

vision: do you play any video games?

I've been playing Lord of the Rings Online, an MMO, since its launch in 2007- though I've been taking a hiatus this year. Burnt myself out. About 10 years ago I managed to get a not-entirely-legit copy of the Sims and after doing absolutely nothing else during winter break, deleted that crack from my computer.

I'd really like to play some single player games like Oblivion (with the updated character graphic and bug fix mods) and some independent Steam games I've seen on YouTube and Twitch, but frankly put, if I start gaming, I just won't have time for writing and art. I haven't watched a ton of TV and movies recently for the same reason. I don't have enough time in a day to do everything I want; this year's been really dedicated to artsy stuff.

My only exception to the gaming thing is Pokémon Go because it's the only way to get me out to see sun lmao. I also have an unhealthy obsession with quick puzzle and card games like Sudoku and Spider Solitaire that I just rotate every few months.

July 11-15,2022 Canadian National T20 Championships

Cricket Canada organizes Canadian National Men’s Championship T20

lets check it out Day 1:

British Columbia (BC) and Ontario both clinched double victories in the Canada National T20 Championships opening day fixtures , enabling them to climb up the ranks of each group. Both teams have flawless records of two wins from as many games played. Teams from all ten cricket Canada's Member Provinces, Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec, Prince Edward Island, and Saskatchewan are competing for National T20 Championship honours in the 11-15 July 2022 event that is being played on the King City's Maple Leaf Cricket Club.

British Columbia (214/4-20) got its Group A campaign in a great place with an easy win of 53 runs in its first match with New Brunswick (161/7-20). BC was however faced with the tougher challenge of Saskatchewan which came close to causing one of the biggest upsets in tournament history. In response to Saskatchewan's official score of 111/8-20. BC had a difficult time losing crucial wickets frequently until their ninth wicket two Singhs combinationof Ravinderpal (13*) and Newah (1*) finally saw BC win.

In the second Group A opening day match, Newfoundland (112/6-20) proved to be insufficient against Quebec (113/0-20) defeating to Quebec by 10 wickets. The win left Quebec with a perfect record of just one win from the only Day 1 match.

While BC was proving the utmost Group dominant position, Ontario did much similar in Group with nearly lopsided wins in its two opening day fixtures. A 105-run century in the opening match with Shubham Sharma (55) and Rayyan Pathan (47) formed the basis for Ontario's easy 68-run win against Nova Scotia in its opening match.

The first batsman of Ontario scored 158/3 off 20 overs. The innings driven by Sharma's half century comprised of only 37 balls, with eight fours and one six. Pathan's 47 was less aggressive, taking 48 balls and containing seven boundaries.

Aiming for a 159-run victory at a rate of just 8 per game Nova Scotia was never in the game, and got off to a shaky beginning, losing their first three wickets Amit Joshi (4), Neel Patel (4) and Daksh Talwar (0) within the first two innings with just 8 runs in the bank. The wickets continued to fall frequently until the Nova Scotians were taken out for 89. The Nova Scotians lost their final wicket on their fourth delivery of 20 the over, the team fell just 69 runs short of their winning target.

Ontario's second opening day game against Manitoba and a similar easy win for the tournament's hosts. Batting first, Ontario recorded a dazzling 183/3-20 , courtesy of Rayyan Pathan's explosive 55 balls 86 that included eight fours and 4 sixes. Armaan Kapoor also chipped in with 51 which consisted of 35 balls, and two sixes and four fours.

In response Manitoba was able to win despite Vasu Shah's 60 ball 67 that included five fours and two sixes, was unable to handle Ontario's bowling attack, which was led by Canadian National pacer Dilon Heyliger (3/23-3) to be a difficult task. Just a few runs away from 119/8 at the conclusion of the 20 overs, the team fell short of their goal with 64 runs.

The first day's matches of the Championship included half-century performances of Ontario's Rayyan Pathan (88), his teammates Shubham Shama (55) and Armaan Kapoor (51) and Québec's Yashwanath Reddy (73) and the New Brunswick's Divank Satwani (71) and British Columbia's Bhupinder Singh (69) and the Manitoba's Vasu Shah (67) and Newfoundland's Manik Arora (55). Of the bowlers, BC's Aaron Johnson had the day's most impressive figures, with 4/12-2. Three wickets were of a haul for Saskatchewan's Sarmad Anwar (3/14-4) as well as the Alberta's Rommel Shahzad (3/18-4) and Ontario's Dilon Heyliger (3/23-3).

The Championships will continue with the 12th of July Day 2 fixtures featuring six matches: Quebec vs Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia vs Manitoba, Newfoundland against British Columbia, PEI vs Ontario, New Brunswick vs Saskatchewan and Alberta in a match against Manitoba. Lightroom Mask Overlay Modes

Adobe gave Lightroom a major masking overhaul and along with the new Lightroom masking experience came improvements to the mask overlays. Good use of mask overlays lets you get the perfect mask. When you can clearly see what areas are affected by a mask, your local adjustments are more precise and your final photo is stronger. In this article, I’ll explain the different types of overlays and my favorite combination.

What Is A Mask Overlay?

A mask overlay tints the selected mask to make the mask clearly visible. For precision masking work, using mask overlays are incredibly useful. When you create a new mask, the mask overlay is shown by default. Use the Show Overlay checkbox in the Masks panel to turn off and on the overlay.

You can set the color of the overlay and how your image is treated while viewing the mask.

The Overlay Color

Set the color of the overlay at the bottom of the Masks panel. Click on the color swatch and a popup with a color selector is available. There are four built-in Custom Colors for the overlay: red, green, white, and black. Adjust the Opacity slider to increase or decrease the intensity of the color overlay. The Overlay Shows popup controls whether the mask overlay highlights the affected or unaffected area of your image.

Pro tip: Use keyboard shortcut Shift-O to cycle through the overlay colors.

You can also set your own custom mask overlay color using the eyedropper on the color bar. Your own custom color is semi-transitory. If you cycle through the other built-in overlay colors, your personal custom color is reset.

Why does Lightroom offer different color overlays? The reason is, depending on the tones in your image, a different overlay color is more visible than others. Read this article about using different mask overlay colors for an example.

The Overlay Mode

The Overlay Mode changes how the selected Overlay Color is shown on your image while the mask overlay is active. In some modes, the display of your image is changed as well. There are 6 different overlay modes:

Color Overlay: The overlay color is displayed on your image (Default).

Color Overlay on B&W: The overlay color is shown on a monochrome version of your image.

Image on B&W: Your image displays normally in the area highlighted by the overlay. The rest of the image is shown in monochrome.

Image on Black: Your image displays normally in the area highlighted by the overlay. The rest of the image is shown as black.

Image on White: Your image displays normally in the area highlighted by the overlay. The rest of the image is shown as white.

White on Black: A full-screen rendering of the mask swatch in the Masks panel. Areas affected by the mask are white and unaffected areas are black. Partially affected areas are various shades of gray.

As with overlay colors, there are some photos where one overlay mode is more helpful over another to readily visualize a mask.

My Favorite Overlay Color And Mode Combination

Of all the color overlay and mode combinations available, I gravitate to a red colored overlay with the Color Overlay with B&W mode. I also prefer to have the mask overlay highlight the affected area. With this combination, the area affected by a mask is highlighted in red and the rest of the image is shown in monochrome. It is very easy to see what objects or tones in my image are impacted by a mask. I find that Color Overlay with B&W is very useful with color and luminance range masks.

Keyboard Shortcuts

As you grow proficient with masks, speed up your workflow with keyboard shortcuts. All of the overlay shortcuts center around the letter O (as in Overlay).

O: Toggle the mask overlay off/on

Shift-O: Cycle through the overlay colors

Option-O (macOS) or Alt-O (Windows): Cycle through the mask overlay modes
