Party Planning

Next, we were tasked with coming up with a list of 5 creatives we would like to invite to a party that we would then plan. Give reasonings for each individual, and an explanation/mood-board of what this party may look like.

Person 1

Vivienne Westwood (fashion designer)

Pioneer in the fashion world, is dubbed the queen of punk.

I feel like it would be super interesting to talk to her about how she got her start, her muses, inspirations for her iconic style, and how it felt to become a household name in fashion.

She is considered to be a symbol of the British avant-garde, and included many culturally significant themes within her work - such as the use of tartan and punk culture

Person 2

David Bowie (musician)

Iconic British singer who helped establish the style of glam rock within the musical world.

I respect how he always took creative risks, in his costuming, vocal styles, musicality, and stage personas he would perform in.

I have always wanted to ask him questions about how he got his ideas, for almost every aspect of his creative career. How did he come u with the characters, the songs, and the way he visually presented himself to the world. As well as what it felt like to be an icon of his time.

Martin Sharp (designer)

Australian graphic designer, was a pioneer in the counterculture movement within the arts. Bringing in more psychedelic elements to his compositions.

I discovered his work whilst doing some research last year and became instantly obsessed over every element of his style. How he used mostly analogue processes because of limited technology of the time, and especially his use of colour.

I would love to talk to him about how he came up with his eccentric ideas, what it was like working with musicians, and his experience with controversy surrounding his earlier publications.

Benee (musician)

A musician from Aotearoa who has exploded in popularity in recent years, due to her quirky personality, and unique mix of soft vocals and upbeat indie pop.

I have always loved how Benee has been unapologetically herself in the public eye. Not holding back with how she expresses herself - both with stylistic choices and socially.

I first discovered benee's music when I was around 14, so have been a long time listener - and I think it would be interesting to talk to her about her musical journey, how she found her signature sound, and the struggles of trying to break into such a crowded compeditive industry coming from a small country.

ranking the episodes of bluey that made me cry while i was having a break down that drove me to watch a childrens show about a dog family:

5) the creek:

bluey and her family go to the creek and shes nervous cos its a new & unpredictable experience but in the end she enjoys it

3/10 relatable i was an anxious child, we love appreciation of nature but i Honestl got concerned they were nagatively affecting the ecosystem too much. teared up when she saw the wallaby at the end

4) baby race:

bluey is feeling too compeditive with her friend so her mom tell her a story about how She felt compeditive when bluey was a baby and want her to reach every milestone first

5/10 wins points for the line "where was i!!!?" "you werent born yet" "....i was invisible :O" when the mom cries I cry, baby blue walking for the first time to reach her mom i Criedd

grandpa:

bluey bingo and mom visit her dad cos he had a heart attack("heartworm") he refuses to rest and the children are into it cos they want to have fun with him, mom is Visibly worried and upset

7/10 the line "its so long [since you took me swimming here]" "nah it was yesterday" Killed me. an episode about how your health also affects other people cos they love you

Camping:

bluey becomes friends with a french boy while camping but they dont speak the same language, they play together everyday but whem it comes time to leave he cant tell her, she wakes up the next and is UPSET. the episode ends with the seed they planted growing into a tree and teenage them meeting again

10/10 ABSOLUTELY BROKE ME

the handstand:

the blueheelers are having a party, the adults are busy cooking and setting up and the kids are busy playing while bingo teaches her self to handstand, when shes finished she looks for someone to watch her but everyone is too busy. meanwhile grandma is trying to help but everyone tells her they dont need help, in the end granny watches bingos handstand

200/10 as a younger sister this episode is Perfect. the reveal that it bingos birthday??? and shes being ignored????? why go to therapy when i can watch this for real. my grandma is the person i closest with and yeah this episode GOT IT yes i cried so hard i stoped breathing

Other two matches some random story teams which were steamrolled offering no useful knowledge
