Toddler - Transferring with Tongs
Transferring from one vessel to another is a valuable tenant in the Practical Life curriculum. Transferring refines a student's hand-eye coordination, concentration, and fine motor skills while calling to their sensitive period for order. Using tongs is great preparation for writing and other skills that require fine motor control, helping to develop the hand muscles necessary for successful manipulation of writing implements. As they transfer back and forth, the repetition allows them to feel a sense of accomplishment and mastery.

And that's on being culturally humble and not competent.
I gotta say, so much queer intra-community horseshit dropped off my shoulders when I decided to adopt a firm policy that everyone is the expert in their own identity, the single most knowledgeable person about what it's like to live life in their own skin, and that if someone describes their experience in ways I find contradictory or paradoxical I should do them the courtesy of presuming that they are striving to express something very specific and nuanced, rather than leaping to the conclusion that they're just dumb and using words wrong.
Sure, there are some combinations of identity terms that I look at and go "hmm, I don't get how that works." I'm still a human being. But there's a big difference between not getting how something works versus insisting that it doesn't.
#cultural competence seeks to know all about a subject#cultural humility says i dont know everything and oh man thats so exciting#strive to be a lifelong learner of different viewpoints

Stages Of Learning & Competence
This article discusses the four stages of competence, emphasizing the importance of learning and the progression of skill development.
Of putting our goals into perspective to continue to strengthen our trajectory for the year, learning is an inevitable part of the process. So, this article is curated with that in mind. What makes this article necessary is that as a learner, you may avoid learning a new skill especially if you find that you are struggling with it initially, and as a teacher, you may loose patience quite…

"divide the base points by two to create heroes of the order of the late Robin" I see you mentioning Jason specifically. I'm pretty sure this handbook was written in the context of tim's robin era based on which characters they do or don't acknowledge in their examples. This is saying that Tim is a 450 hero but Jason is a 225 hero. We're deep in the "oh Jason died because he was too weak/not good enough" era and I'm so mad. I'll eat them.
Not the DC ttrpg handbook talking shit about Jaybin oh my god somebody bring me my hammers
#if he sucked so bad why was he such a fast learner he needed only 6 months to become robin#why was he a competent hacker at 15#how did he save harvey from batman's own mistake#how did he save superman#how did he save batman's life several times#jason todd#justice on his name#jaybin was skilled as fuck and he was NOT a 225 hero#the “tim was a better/more competent robin than jason” discourse needs to die#in case this isn't evident i'm not talking shit about tim i'm saying i'm tired of people propping jaybin down#especially when it's clear it's in a victim-blaming context

Lower Elementary - Math Practice CardsThe progression from concrete to abstract materials is a fundamental aspect of the learning process in a Montessori environment. Students begin with tangible, hands-on materials that make abstract concepts more accessible. For example, they might use Golden Beads or the Stamp Game to physically manipulate and understand the principles of addition, subtraction, and multiplication. As they become more comfortable with these concepts, they transition to more abstract tools, such as the Finger Board, which still provides a tactile experience but requires less physical manipulation. This gradual shift helps students internalize mathematical principles deeply and confidently. Math practice cards further support this progression by offering a range of problems that encourage independent and collaborative learning, bridging the gap between concrete experiences and abstract thinking. This method ensures that students build a strong foundation and are well-prepared for more complex mathematical challenges.

ANOTHER anh re-watch thought: compared to a lot of other similar protagonists the character work w Luke is. really good?
even aside from having literal magic powers he's legitimately very competent.
he's an excellent pilot and marksman & he learned those skills bcos he grew up on a planet full of criminals & giant monsters that want to kill you
the fact that he's quick to pick up new skills obvs indicates that he's a very fast learner but also ties in w the fact that (as we see at the opening act of the film) he spends a lot of time tinkering w various bits of technology and also nerds out about spacecraft so it doesn't feel improbable for him to know a lot of stuff
displays an aptitude for leadership which is set up during the middle act of the film when he comes up w a plan to rescue Leia on the fly & figures out exactly how to talk Han into participating; feels perfectly natural for him to take command of Red squadron after their leader is killed.
doesn't feel like it's just happening for him bcos he's the protagonist its like ah ok he's had this potential all along & now he's finally getting to realise it
i just think its neat!! u see a lot of similar stories where the main characters are just better at everything bcos uhh the script says so.

Don't Use Duolingo if You Really Want to Learn Irish
That title is a bit dramatic, but I really don't think that duolingo is a useful tool for Irish, especially in its current state, so I want to talk a bit about why, and I'll also talk about some alternatives.
Pronunciation
The first and most egregious issue is that at some point recently-ish, duo decided to start using Text-To-Speech for their Irish course, rather than recordings of a native speaker. The problem here is that their TTS is not trained on native speakers of Irish and pronounces words incorrectly. It doesn't make consistent distinctions between broad and slender consonants for example.
Irish has no standard pronunciation, so I understand how it can feel weird to choose just one dialect for the purposes of pronunciation (the old recordings were from a speaker of Galway Irish), but having just one dialect is much better than TTS which sounds like a learner, imagine if they had TTS for the French course which sounded like an anglophone schoolkid trying to pronounce french, and claimed they were teaching you how to speak french!
Grammar
Duo tends to be correct on grammar at least, which is a start. But often people using it get very confused about the grammar because duo doesn't explain any of it. I think there's a place for immersion in language learning, and I don't think everything has to be explained like that, but within duo's system of sentence testing and exercises like that, not having any explanation for why it's "mo chóta" and not "mo cóta" can be really confusing. Duo used to have more grammar information, it's a shame that they removed it, I wonder why they did it.
Money and Motivation
Duolingo is a business, and their motivation is not to help you learn a language 'fully', but to keep you using their app and hopefully have a higher chance of sharing it with others, competing with others, buying or causing others to buy memberships or lingots or any other in-app purchases.
I don't want to make it out like duo is some big conspiracy and they're tricking people, I don't think that's the case, but it's good to remember that their primary motivation is to keep people using the app, rather than help people move to a level in a language where they don't need the app anymore.
Keep this in mind whenever you see people trying to sell you stuff for language learning.
Why do people use Duolingo
I do get it, and I don't want to make anyone feel bad for using duo, there's a ton of reasons people tend towards it at first 1. It's really well known, so especially if you're learning a language and haven't heard of other resources for it, you'll check duolingo 2. It's very motivating for a lot of people, checking in every day and forming that habit is a really good way of sticking with a language 3. It's fun, people enjoy it
If you use it for reason 3. and you still like it, then don't worry about this post, I'm not trying to yuck anyone's yums, keep having fun!
If you use it for reasons 1. or 2. you can still keep using it if you like, but I want to suggest some other things which you might find helpful in trying to get to a higher level in Irish.
Other Resources
To address the pronunciation issue, I'd heavily recommend you disregard the pronunciation in duolingo, if you're looking for more reliable sources of pronunciation, I'd look towards recordings of native speakers, you can find that on:
Teanglann and Foclóir (they use the same recordings)
Fuaimeanna
and a really useful and underused one: https://davissandefur.github.io/minimal-pairs/ where you can hear the difference between similar sounds that English speakers often mix up in Irish.
A lot of people like duolingo because it's nice to have a clear path forward, a progression that you can get into without too much decision-making. For this I recommend getting a good textbook or course and working through it, the ones I'll recommend also have native speaker audio on them.
Learning Irish by Mícheál Ó Siadhail, this book teaches Galway Irish, not just in pronunciation but in grammar too. It's quite dense but it's well thought out and well explained.
Teach Yourself Irish (1961) this book is available for free online, and is a really good option if you're interested in Cork Irish (Munster), and have some experience with grammatical terminology. I used this book myself and really liked it, but it's very intense and not for everyone. (If you do end up using it, feel free to skip the appendices at the start, they're more of a reference and sometimes put people off from actually getting to the first chapter. Also if you have any questions about it or need any help just let me know.)
If you want a video course, there's a great course called "Now You're Talking" which is available for free online, along with audio files and worksheets here. It features Donegal Irish and leads into the more intermediate level course called Céim ar Aghaidh also available online.
There's other textbooks that I have less experience with (Buntús na Gaeilge, Gaeilge/Gramadach Gan Stró, etc.) but if they work for you, stick with them, there's nothing worse than not making progress because you keep switching resources trying to find the "perfect one"
Whether or not you continue to use Duolingo, I would really really encourage you to try engaging with media in Irish. People often shy away from this when they're learning because they don't feel like they're "ready" yet. But you basically never feel like you're ready, you just have to try and find something near your level and try to get comfortable with not understanding everything. This is where you learn a huge portion of the language, you hear how things are pronounced you see what words mean in what contexts, getting input in your target language is so important!
I know content can be kind of hard to find, so I'll make a few recommendations here: There's a wealth of content available for free online (more if you're in ireland but some internationally) on TG4 If you're still starting out, I'd recommend trying to watch some kids shows since they'll have simpler language and will be easier to follow. I wouldn't recommend using English subtitles when you watch them. Some good options include:
Dónall Dána: an Irish dub of Horrid Henry, silly and childish but the actors have good Irish and importantly the show has Irish language subtitles, they don't always match but if you're still beginning and can't necessarily get everything by ear, they're really useful. (Mostly Galway Irish)
Curious George: another dub, again with Irish language subtitles (I can't remember what dialects were in it off the top of my head but I'd assume mostly galway again)
Seó Luna: No subtitles, but a good option if you're aiming for Munster Irish, the lead character has Kerry Irish
Miraculous: No subtitles but a better show than most of the other kids' ones and more bearable to watch as an adult (Mostly Galway Irish)
Ros na Rún: Moving away from kids shows, a long running soap opera, this has Irish subtitles and a really good mix of dialects within the show. If you're finding the kids shows boring or too easy I'd really recommend it, but it can be complex because of the amount of characters, dialects, and plotlines. I'd recommend starting at the beginning of a newer season and just trying to catch on to what's happening as you go.
There are a lot of books, if you live in Ireland you can get nearly any Irish book for free from a library, so please check out your local library or request some of these from other libraries in the system:
There's a series of fairytales (Rápúnzell, Luaithríona etc.) by Máiréad Ní Ghráda which are illustrated and for children, which are a really good option for when you're just starting out reading
There's kids books about Fionn and the Fianna by Tadhg Mac Dhonnagáin
There's a cute little kids' book in Kerry Irish about a cat named Mábúis
Leabhar Breac has a lot of graphic novels, some of them based on Irish mythology, some on other stuff. The fact that they're illustrated can make it a lot easier to follow even if you don't understand all the words at first.
Gliadar has just released their Scott Pilgrim translation
If you're looking for something a bit more advanced you can look at some of the books for adult learners by Comhar, they contain simplified language and glossaries but have full original adult stories.
And if you're wanting full, natural, native-level Irish there's a load of books by those same groups, and others like An Gúm, Cló Iar-Chonnacht, Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne, Éabhlóid, Coiscéim, and more.
And don't shy away from older books written in Seanchló either, they can be more challenging but it's a whole extra world of books
If you're trying to improve your listening comprehension, I definitely recommend listening to shows on Raidió na Gaeltachta, hearing native Irish speakers talk at full speed is really good practice. But I get that it can be overwhelming at first. Here are some things you can do as you build up to that:
Watching those same TV shows I mentioned without subtitles is a good way to build up listening skills.
Vifax is a website where you can practice listening to short news segments and answer questions on them, then getting to look at the transcript with notes afterwards.
Snas is kind of the evolution of vifax, now using clips from both the news and Ros na Rún.
I really hope that this post can help people move away from duolingo if they're looking to take their Irish learning to the next level, if you've got any questions, just let me know!

Cocky - Gojo Satoru
cw: smut
You hated cocky men, usually because their sense of self confidence or misguided arrogance always left more to be perceived. But when you meet Satoru, that perspective shifts. He was cocky in his own right. He was perfect to the naked eye but, you could never let him know because surely it would go to his head. You didn’t need to tell him though, as he owns the thin line where charisma and cockiness meet.
Your eyes speak enough words when you meet for a kiss. Firm and assertive, the way his strong arms envelope you. Lips soft against each other, moving in a rhythm that felt natural but still hungry. Both of you, competing for dominance as your tongues dance in unison. His hands explore every dip and crevice of your body, studying it, learning everything that makes you tingle and writhe beneath his touch and he in fact is a fast learner.
As much as you didn’t want to give in to him. He was good, maybe even too good. Kisses against your collarbone leading up into the crook of your neck had you like putty in his hands. An adorable smirk against his red flushed lips, uttering soft whispers of praises into your ear. He was irresistible. Before you realize, he had you between him and his sheets. Limbs wrapped around him as your hands made their way to his hair with the urge to remove the blindfold he always wore. One swift motion and you are met with his crystal eyes. You were doomed.
You weren’t the only one falling though. To him you were irresistible, he could barely contain himself. Your scent, the way you moaned, the looks you gave him were all driving him insane. He removes your bra with ease, cold hands sliding up your bare body, he cups your breasts. Thumbs brushing over the already stiff buds, a shiver taking over your body. He leans his head down, taking one of your nipples into his mouth with a soft moan, his other hand coming to massage the other.
Your back arches at the sudden contact, eyes shut closed as he continues to suck and nibble at your nipples. Hands still kneading at the soft flesh. The delicious contrast of sensations forces you to moan his name. He hums in appreciation as you feel a smirk forming against your hot skin. “You like that don’t you?” he teases, his mouth coming off your nipple. His voice is like silk, smooth and sultry. “Just wait until I go lower…” he whispers once again.
“Toru…s’ toru..”
His name was like a chant escaping your lips as his face was buried between your velvety thighs. The way he dropped to his knees to please you, eager to taste you, you didn’t know you could get even more aroused than you already were. Satoru could’ve sworn you had him under some type of incantation the way he was lapping at your cunt. Skilled tongue flicking over your clit, long fingers sliding in and out of you.
A whine escapes from his mouth as you tug on his soft white locks. The vibrations of his moans send jolts of pleasure throughout your body. You didn’t know someone could derive this much pleasure for himself from pleasing you. His arousal was evident as he pressed himself against the bed, in dire need of some friction. To relieve the ache in his cock, that you caused. He was impatient. His free hand coming up to unbutton his jeans, he tugged down his boxers finally releasing his hard on. It took you a moment to realize what he was doing. Stroking himself as he continued to eat you out. The sight was lude but so hot. Your back arched again and you knew you were so close.
He knew you were close too. He knew from the way your cunt throbbed, the way he had to use his free hand to hold your legs open so they wouldn’t close around his head, the way your hands gripped the soft sheets under you. Whine after whine, moan after moan, both of you reach the epitome of pleasure. Satoru continues to lick and tease you as you ride out your high, savoring every drop that you give him.
“You taste like heaven..”
A grin appears on his lips as he praises you. He comes to meet your lips again, pressing himself on top of you.
“What else do you want me to do?”

okay I lied put your clothes back on we're talking about how the disco elysium fandom is allergic to the idea of harry being portrayed as competent in any way shape or form
I've seen so many posts complaining about how it's "ooc" because of the way he acts in-game and like. are you kidding me. are you fucking kidding me. not ONLY does he have less knowledge of the world around him than the average toddler, but he's also on the brink of death the whole time and in excruciating physical pain??? obviously he's fucking things up in those conditions??? in fact, considering the circumstances, I'd say he's actually pretty damn impressive!!
also, speaking from a bit of a meta perspective for a moment, the rate at which you earn skill points in-game implies that he's an INCREDIBLY fast learner, and since failing skill checks is the main way harry usually ends up embarrassing himself I'd say that's a pretty important thing to keep in mind. he'd have all his stats maxed in like a month at most but I digress because obviously it's not meant to be quite that literal.
either way, I feel like this is just another symptom of people not seeing harry as someone who is capable of changing, especially changing for the better. not that being smart or talented or emotionally intelligent or good at your job is like, directly representative of your worth as a human being, but to claim that harry isn't/could never be any of those things just feels incredibly dishonest to me.
#i am the number one harry du bois lover btw i will defend him with my life. RAAAAAUGHH HARRY GET BEHIND ME#i don't even want to fuck that old man i just want that old man to be so incredibly happy and safe for the rest of forever#it's so so so so important to me that a character like him exists tbh. as long as you are still breathing you can change and be changed#disco elysium#harry du bois#fandom ramblings#rant

I think being fired from my last job (which ... like I still don't know why I got fired) also did a number on my confidence in myself. idk irl I catch on fast, and I get along with most people like im a good worker and idk it just really fucked with my self confidence
working a new job that u like actually wanna keep and care about is so nerve wracking. I leave every day thinking I fucked something up horribly.
#yeah it was just a shitty job that wasn't gonna go anywhere but like#I pride myself in being competent and a quick learner

How did pepper jack learn to fly and what relationship does he have with the other ancients and beasts ?
MORE QUESTIONS HIHI <3
Golden Cheese did most of the work. High Priest Cheesenbird + the other cheesebirds showed/explained what they could, but it all made more sense coming from his mother (a fellow winged person, not just a regular bird) than anyone else. She started teaching him when he was very young (just waited for him to master walking first haha), primarily by having him jump down from ledges or such elevated places and try to catch the wind with his wings as he fell. Very small and short jumps until he got comfortable with them, then bigger ones, then bigger ones, until he was swan diving off of buildings... Eventually he became a master of flight just like she is. It really is as easy as breathing to him now. (He was scared of falling and hurting himself at first, (which he did a few times, it was inevitable. But GC was always there to supervise and help when needed), but he was nevertheless a quick learner.)
Not that Papa didn't try to do anything, though.
Burning Spice could never do much because he doesn't have wings of his own. He's grounded. What he figured he could do to help is have Pepper Jack try to fly up and perch on his arm/shoulder on command. Make him exercise his wing muscles by having him lift himself off the ground. Rising instead of falling. (He first thought of chucking Jack off the roof and having him fly back up from all the way down there, but GC threatened him with divorce (violence wasn't a good enough threat, he's used to that) if he threw their baby boy from the roof of the palace, so he reworked the concept into something less... unfortunate.)
He actually did start doing that when Jack was older and already a fully competent flier. They do it for fun. Spice picks Jack up and throws him as hard and fast and far as he can, from the highest floor of the tallest building around, and Jack flies all the way back to him. Then Spice picks him up and does it again. They just call it playing "boomerang". GC doesn't understand the appeal, but as long as Jack can handle himself and doesn't get hurt (which was her one concern honestly)...
As for the second half of your question... I want to answer it more fully (read: with more doodles) in another post, but to give the short version: Jack gets along well with the other Ancients and (former) Beasts. He loves his aunts and uncles very much. (But... he secretly favors Dark Cacao + Shadow Milk and Silent Salt. Not by too big of a margin though. Shhhh)
#let's all pretend I know how lighting/shading works for a few minutes lol. and objects. geometric shapes.#let's all pretend I know how art works#also. both PJ and MP refer to the others by shortened versions of their names.#Pure Vanilla is Uncle Vanilla. Shadow Milk is Uncle Shadow. Hollyberry is Auntie Holly. and so on and so forth#I'll explain how Jack feels abt them all in a separate post I'm tired haha#cookie run kingdom#burning spice cookie#golden cheese cookie#pepper jack cookie#burningcheese#goldenspice#merchant asks

Joel Miller Headcanons:
Joel's Reaction When You're Sexually Harassed
Warnings: Swearing, violence, fluff.
Ahhhh I love me some protective Joel :)
Word Count: 1,498
Joel didn't think nights like this could ever exist again; Night's reminiscent of the 'Before Times', when you could unwind, leave your stress and worries behind for a little while and just enjoy the moment. The jovial laughter and carefree atmosphere that fills the community hall still amazes him.
For too long, people in this world just existed, trying to make it from one lousy day to the next, always having to look over their shoulder. But here in Jackson it's different. Life doesn't just go on, it thrives, breathes, grows stronger, a testament to the resilience and determination of the human spirit.
Even though some things here seemed frivolous at first, Joel had to admit the room did look beautiful, with fairy lights strung up and handmade decorations adorning the walls - all for the anniversary of Jacksons' founding- but it all pales in comparison at the sight before him now.
There you are, his "partner in crime" (as you so often playfully referred to the both of you as), looking effortlessly radiant as usual, long hair draping over both shoulders, the ends trailing down to the low cut top that accentuates your cleavage, (not that he's looking, nope, not looking at all), a pink tint to your cheeks and a smile that could bring Joel to his knees.
"Hey guys, mind if I sit?" you gesture to the empty seat at the table. "Please join us," Maria smiles warmly. Joel removes his coat from the back of the empty chair beside him and pulls it out, an invitation to make yourself comfortable. "Such a gentleman," you beam at Joel, gently nudging his shoulder with your own. Joel smiles, "Always am, darling."
He doesn't miss how your already pink cheeks flush even brighter at his response, but no, couldn't mean... nope she'll never see you that way, so don't even go there. He listens intently as Tommy and you discuss your patrols with Joel, blushing slightly as you praise him for his capability and competence beyond the walls, even going as far as to calling him a good teacher.
"Well, you're a quick learner. Not everyone catches on as fast as you." Joel has to fight with the small smile threatening to break into a full on grin at his pride in you. Tommy raises his eyebrows in amusement as he watches the easy back and fourth between you two. The night goes on and Joel wishes it would never end.
Just sitting here with you, listening to the sweet lilt of your voice, watching the way your face lights up in genuine laughter brings a warmth to Joel's already thawing heart. He watches you leave as you excuse yourself to go to the bathroom. He knows what's coming just from the smug looks his brother and sister-in law are giving him.
"Don't...," Joel rolls his eyes, "It's not like that at all." "Mmhmm...," Tommy hums, smirking into his glass. Joel huffs, returning his attention to his drink. A few minutes later he sees you making your way across the room, weaving in and out of dancing couples, when you are suddenly blocked from view by a large back and broad shoulders.
Joel is instantly on his feet, defence mode triggered in his brain, suspiciously eyeing this seemingly insistent man. The look on your face tells him everything he needs to know; You're uncomfortable and looking for a way out. His feet move as if they are their own entity, taking large strides across the floor, fists balled up and jaw clenched.
He can't make out what you're saying but it's obvious you are refusing this mans' advances. As you try to push past, the man grabs your wrist, making you wince in pain. Joe's eyes widen in shock. This fucker actually had the audacity to lay his hands on you. Pure, unbridled rage burst through Joel's veins, burning him from the inside out, his objective now crystal clear.
In the next moment, Joel had spun the asshole around, connecting his fist to his jaw, relishing the satisfying crack that resulted. "Don't ever put your fucking hands on her again!" Joel roared while pulling you behind him, shielding you with his large frame. He could feel you trembling as you placed a hand on his back, which only angered him more. How dare this entitled piece of shit treat you that way. You deserve to feel safe in your own community!
"What the fuck, man!" fumed the stranger as he picked himself up off the floor, rubbing his injured jaw. The room suddenly became void of voices, the jukebox being the only continuous sound for a moment, as all eyes shifted to the unfolding scene. The man's gaze shifts from Joel to you. "Seriously?!" he narrow's his eyes at you, anger painting his face red. "You'd rather fuck this old timer than me!"
"Back. The. Fuck. Off... Now!" Joel growled lowly. The guy looks back to Joel. "You know what...," he scoffs, "You're fucking welcome to it! God knows where that whore has be-" Crack!! He falls onto the table, then onto the floor with a sickening thud as Joel rains down, blow after blow. '"Joel! Joel stop!" He can hear you, but he can't stop, not after the vile comments aimed at you.
"Joel, please!" Only upon feeling your hand on his arm did Joel stop, turning to face you, hoping his actions haven't frightened you. But instead of fear or disgust all he sees is concern in your eyes. He turns back to face the man when he hears him groaning while being picked up and escorted out by a few other men.
Tommy appears at Joel's side, quietly reminding him that there are better ways to deal with people like that, - even if his look is silently conveying an 'I would have done the same thing' message -, then he makes sure you are okay before trying to ease the tension in the air by encouraging everyone to return to their business.
"Joel...," you whisper while gently taking hold of his bloodied hand, examining the gashes and forming bruises. "Let's go. We need to take care of this." Joel nods at you, allowing you to lead him outside.
Joel sits at your kitchen table, watching studiously as you sit in front of him, rummage through your first aid box. The deep concentration etched onto your face as you carefully dab at his split knuckles, stirs up a multitude of feelings in Joel's gut; Relief that you're okay and not afraid of what you saw, appreciation at how attentive you are and a fierce need to protect you from any more harm in future.
"I think it's broken," you say, sadly. "Yeah, probably just a hairline. It'll be okay," he shrugs it off, trying to reassure you. You sigh and shake your head. "You shouldn't have done that, Joel." Joel's brows knit together in confusion. "I shouldn't have helped you?" "I mean, I appreciate you defending me, I really do...," your eyes meet his and he can feel the sincerity of your words. You return your focus to Joel"s hand. "But he's not worth breaking your hand over."
It kills Joel that you sound guilty, as if you're blaming yourself for what happened, when it was all the fault of that arrogant prick. "No, he's not...," Joel replied flatly, then gently lifts your chin with his other hand to look softly into your eyes, "But you are." Joel watches as your frown softens into a heartfelt smile, your eyes glistening with un-shed tears.
His eyes momentarily drop to your lips, looking so soft and plump, he wonders if they'd feel as soft as they look. He doesn't have to wonder for long. In the blink of an eye his collar is in your grasp, your lips crashing onto his, and oh, they are soft, just like he knew they would be. Is this really happening?! Joel skims his tongue along your bottom lip and immediately you open, welcoming his tongue as it claims your mouth.
His hands settle on your waist, gently hoisting you up off of your chair and onto his lap. Joel feels your pert tits press against his chest and his cock press against his jeans. He moans into your mouth, running his good hand up your back to cup the back of your head. You respond by wrapping your arms around his neck and deepening the kiss, tounges and teeth battling it out in a game dominance and passion.
When you both finally part, panting for breath, Joel rests his forehead against yours and murmurs, " You don't know how long I've wanted to do that, baby." "You don't know how long I've wanted you to do that," you coo sweetly. Joel chuckles and kisses the tip of your nose. "I'll do that for however long you'll have me." Whatever is happening between you both, Joel knows this is the start of something amazing.

If neither Davrin nor Emmrich is in a romance with Rook:
Davrin: So, Emmrich, I have a question for you.
Emmrich: I shall endeavor to answer, if I am able. Ask away.
Davrin: Alright. That mage back in that tavern. You seem to have caught their eye.
Emmrich: I did?
Davrin: You didn't notice? They weren't being all that subtle about it.
Emmrich: Fascinating! However, that's not exactly a question, is it?
Davrin: Heh, fair enough. I guess my question is, did they catch your eye as well?
Emmrich: I must admit, as flattering as another's attention may be, my own has been focused elsewhere as of late.
Davrin: Well, with all that 'attention' directed your way, if you ever need any tips...
Emmrich: Ha! My dear young Davrin. I know perfectly well what I'm doing.
Davrin: Is that so? Care to demonstrate the competency of your skills in private, Professor?
Emmrich: I—I might not be opposed to a lesson later. Perhaps you might even learn a thing or two.
Davrin: Right. If you can handle me, that is. And just for the record, I'm a very hands-on type of learner.
Emmrich: I'll keep that in mind.
Rook: ... What's happening right now?
Emmrich: Nothing to worry yourself over, my dear friend. Nothing at all.
Davrin: Not yet anyways.

Sabbath - strategic intelligence
Wooin Yoo, Hyuk Kwon, Joker, Vinny Hong
I originally did this with Sabbath and my oc but have to post this w/o her, since I don't post about my ocs.
Wooin Yoo:

Preemptive strategist: planning ahead, anticipating possible outcomes, prefers structure and clear plans, excellent at long-term goals and risk management, can often stay calm or rational in chaotic situations, can foresee the consequences of the actions. might struggle to adapt to suddenly new situations, slower when needed to strategize on the spot, can be too rigid, oracle strategist thinking
Hyuk Kwon:

Instinctual strategist: led by his instict, relies on the intuition he developed through experience, highly adaptive, quick reflexes, reactive in high-pressure situations, good at reading environments, decisive and able to execute in split-second decisions, deep understanding of the situation and environment, unpredictable, might struggle with delayed gratification or considering long-term consequences.
Joker/Hajun:

Holistic strategist: ability to see the big picture, can connect dots and manage balance competing priorities, visual learner, entire perspective on the situation, could overlook smaller details, too idealistic. However, Joker prioritize his morals and values over strategies and etc, hence people fail to see him as a type to strategize.
Vinny Hong:

Fluid tactician: has natural instincts but knows when to shift tactics, doesn't stick to single approach, adapts well, unpredictable/wild card, both - instinctive driven and calculating, risk-taking, struggles with long-term strategies, can be reckless due to his thinking, strives in the moment, predictability through repetition, vulnerability to rigid strategists.
