Were any other autistic people so divorced from their own feelings wants and needs that they simply Acted without thought? As in. The idea of 'am I enjoying this' or 'I am going to take a deliberate action to do something' was just absent.

Personally it really feels like I didn't develop free will until fourteen or so. Until then I Existed and Reacted to Things and Was Vaguely Pleasant about all of it but that was it. I never reacted to my own thoughts or wants. I didn't disagree because I didn't have enough time to think about my own preferences. All my interests were given to me by other people. If it wasn't a stated option I didn't consider it an option.

Probably just really bad alexithymia combined with trauma but I would like to know if this is an experience anyone shares.

Also: sending a hopefully helpful message to those who need it. You are allowed to stop watching things you dislike. You can put a book down If you dislike it or try a different food. If you currently dislike what you are doing it is a good idea to figure out what your preferences are and if you lack them to try and cultivate them.

If you'd like, try new things and find what excite you. If you want things to stay the same that's great too. You're more than allowed you're encouraged to do what you'd like. It's alright to exist - I promise it is even if it doesn't feel like it.

here's that essay i accidently hyped up (sorry) on how fionna & cake did a poor job of concluding betty & simons characters + story in the final 2 episodes. sorry it is so insanely long. i don't know what my deal is. sometimes a show just does such a bad job of handling your favorite characters that you have to write 19k+ words complaining about it, i guess. im linking it as a pdf bc i DO NOT want to have 2 copy & paste this all over to tumblr & i kinda don't think tumblr would be happy with me making a post that long.

i am a strong believer in not being rude to young kids on the internet, especially in like kid-friendly media spaces, but sometimes i cant help but wish young kids would stay off of the internet and out of fandom spaces.. like sure, ten year olds are allowed to like saiki k but theyre also the ones that ruin all the comment sections on tiktok or youtube lol..

any time someone mentions a ship, there r hundreds of those "WHAT!! 💔💔 no... saiki x coffee jelly is better!! 😿 if you need to ship, ship saiki x the normal guy! but i ship them in a platonic ship because its better!" "poor saiki.." "saiki doesnt have a crush on satou he just thinks hes interesting, stop shipping them!! 😾" "saiki HATES TERUHASHI !!! HES IN LOVE WITH THE GYARU GIRL!!" comments, and on ANY saiki k video in general there are like "saiki would never be nice to them like that! he hated them!" "this is the most canon saiki k video ever, its so accurate how you made saiki hate all his friends and tell them to shut the fuck up every time they talked!"

i think the youtube comments are all kids (9-13 probably) and the tiktok ones are more teenagers (14-17 i would say).. its annoying either way lol..

alright, i'm gonna walk you through this real quick, much like i had to clarify for timidsketch. i'd love to just ignore this ask, since this feels a bit like sealioning (trying to start an argument knowing it'll make others look bad) but instead, i'll give you the benefit of the doubt. firstly, timidsketch is not racist, nor are they 'violent,' they simply misunderstood part of a poem. much like you misunderstood her reaction to said poem. not everyone is great at literary analysis. or reading comprehension. this is the piss on the poor website.

timidsketch, in her reaction to said poem, expressed that the genocide in gaza is horrific. and that gaining weight should not be seen as AN EQUIVALENT HORROR to genocide. because it isn't. this, the both of you clearly agree on. however, that was simply the part of the poem that was misunderstood. the poem wasn't saying that it was equivalent. the poem was highlighting that as a contrast, that there is so much more going on in the world than something so simple as the author's weight gain.

genocide (big, awful, horrible) VS. laundry to do (small, easy, a slight inconvenience at worst). simple as that.

you, anon, in your accusations, have also simply misread the post.

Also a good tip for learning a language is watching series that you know by heart in the language you're trying to learn with close captions in said language (not regular subtitles bc what the characters say and what's translated there is different) . And if you like something, say for example mc videos, look for content creators who make YouTube videos about it! These videos are usually easier to understand bc they talk about one of your interests so you already know how it works so you have hints on what the general message is and it'll be easier to start internalizing vocabulary and understanding full sentences

Hello, I hope this post doesn’t upset or offend anyone I’m just confused due to hearing two different sides.

I keep hearing that I should be supporting Israel but at the same time I’m hearing that I should be supporting Palestine and I’m getting a little confused over who’s in the right and who’s not.
