«The old man also said this to a certain brother about the soul which wishes to be converted, "There was in a city a courtesan who had many lovers. One of the governors approached her, saying, "Promise me you will be good, and I will marry you." She promised this and he took her and brought her to his house. Her lovers, seeking her again, said to one another, "That lord has taken her with him to his house, so if we go to his house and he learns of it, he will condemn us. But let us go to the back, and whistle to her. Then, when she recognizes the sound of the whistle she will come down to us; as for us, we shall be unassailable." When she heard the whistle, the woman stopped her ears and withdrew to the inner chamber and shut the doors." The old man said that this courtesan is our soul, that her lovers are the passions and other men; that the lord is Christ; that the inner chamber is the eternal dwelling; those who whistle are the evil demons, but the soul always takes refuge in the Lord.»

That'd be helpful, I wanna draw fanart

after many grueling hours they are finally done! ofc their outfits change but these ones give a good idea of how they dress. some design notes and inspiration underneath. im gonna redo their bio sheets at some point soon too so look out for that
in order of the height chart:
dumois: i wanted to make her look kind of like a little kids nursery and also incorporate her astrology interest into her design more so i gave her more charms in her hair and a cute quilt-inspired victorian nightgown. oughh shes so cute i love her sm <3 i think her colors turned out a lot more comprehensive compared to her old design where i threw a bunch of different purples at the wall and they kind of looked bad. now shes so prettyyy and i think the naptime sleepy cowsheepgirl aesthetic has definitely been captured
zubi: their fashion is usually the hardest for me to conceptualize because its like a weird mix of beachy clothes and emo rave... i think this outfit turned out good though, and i really like that the pops of coral/salmon evoke the beach while the dark fishnets evoke deeper dark water. i also almost gave them longer ponytails (think like miku has) bc i thought it would look pretty in water but i decided not to bc everyone else besides gaglug has long hair and i think the weird hair they have now has a good unique silhouette. i also turned their fins the other way so that they would actually be helpful in water
paezel: hes finally buff!!!! the crowd goes wiiiiiiild. he also has his pact tattoo on his arm (its supposed to look like a plant bc thats maeves thing) i feel like the tail kind of went from bovine to almost dragonlike but i actually really like that. i dress him like in the second spongebob movie when theyre in the apocalypse and i love it. not much else to say but i think he definitely looks a lot better
aureus: ok so her design turned out so elaborate that i had to go back and redo the designs i did before hers (dumois, lumiloriol + zubi) so that they wouldnt look lame asf which overally definitely helped their concepts. aureus is supposed to be way more over the top than everyone else but still i mean i cant let the others be flops. shes soooo pretty though i used a reference for her rococo style and it definitely helped a lot. my princess my darling i love youuu
lumiloriol: i usually try to keep their clothes kind of simplistic to highlight their own natural beauty, but i did give them the scarf kind of thing and the train for some layers. for lumiloriol i usually take a lot of inspiration from gothic art especially john martins paradise lost art (because of course) and i definitely feel like i was able to incorporate it. i also think they look super androgynous which i loveee bc angels usually are... they really do look like a fallen angel even if they technically are a step removed
concupiscence: connie i luv uuuuuuuu <3 concupiscence has gone through a lot of different inspirations over the years but ive settled into a britney spears/paris hilton smashup for him and so i based his outfit on various outfits both wore in the early 2000s. shes also got the striped tongue now which i decided to give her a while back bc i think its a fun addition to her design, reminds you that shes a creature. my girly <33333
gaglug: yeah um i got rid of four of its arms... they were making the design wayyy too busy and hard to draw. now it has funny little weird grubby arm thingies though so its okay its still buggy. umm not too much to say here since it doesnt wear clothes but i do love its bug hooves so much :)
anyways i love you my silly 400 year old 20 year olds

The Chief Claim of Side B: "Temptation is not sin."
External temptation to disobedience, of the sort Jesus endured at the hands of Satan, is not sin.
Internal temptation to disobedience, of the sort Adam and Eve felt for the forbidden fruit, is a sin every time. Jesus is the only human who never felt any kind of internal temptation to sin, because being a holy God, Jesus was not born with or into original sin.
Yes, he felt a natural, physical desire to eat, but this is a morally neutral desire. Jesus never felt the willful desire to eat unto disobedience to God, and this is why Satan failed to tempt Him. The moment He had felt such a willful desire, Satan would have succeeded, because it is a sin to desire to disobey God--a whole host of recognizable sins are involved, from faithlessness to arrogance. Of course, this scenario is an impossibility, because Jesus is God and perfectly holy.
The same is true of His prayer in Gethsemane that God might let the cup of wrath pass over Him. He felt the natural, morally neutral desire to avoid torture and abandonment, but He never felt the willful desire to avoid it unto disobedience ("Nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will. ... Your will be done.") To compare the temptation of Jesus to the temptation of same-sex attracted people is to pretend there is a morally neutral desire (e.g. physical hunger, self-preservation) mediating the homosexual temptation, but there is nothing morally neutral about homosexual desires. We cannot even say that natural sexual appetite mediates them, because only heterosexual attractions can be called natural.
It is important to note that homosexual desire is not uniquely pervasive in this way. All humans must wrestle with our indwelling sin that produces sinful desires, and God promises that we can mortify/kill them by the Holy Spirit.
Jesus' sermon on the mount should be enough to support this premise of sin beginning in the heart, transcending physical stimuli:
“You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.’ But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment." Matthew 5:21-22
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell." Matthew 5:27-29 (It should be noted that the Greek behind "lustful intent" means more literally "to lust after," and uses the same word--Epithymesai--translated elsewhere as "desire", "long", or "crave." It is not merely a condemnation of deliberate indulgence.)
Nevertheless, the Bible repeatedly references sinful, evil desires:
Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. On account of these the wrath of God is coming. Colossians 3:5-6
But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. James 1:14
The soul of the wicked desires evil; his neighbor finds no mercy in his eyes. Prov 21:10
His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. 2 Peter 1:3-4
[S]coffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. 2 Peter 3:3
These are grumblers, malcontents, following their own sinful desires; they are loud-mouthed boasters, showing favoritism to gain advantage. But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold. They said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.” Jude 1:16-18
And of course, the Bible speaks on the evil (read: sin) present in man's heart all the time:
The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. Genesis 6:5
The Lord smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: “Never again will I curse the ground because of humans, even though every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood. Genesis 8:21
If I have looked at the sun when it shone, or the moon moving in splendor, and my heart has been secretly enticed, and my mouth has kissed my hand, this also would be an iniquity to be punished by the judges, for I would have been false to God above. Job 31:26-28
Everyone who is arrogant in heart is an abomination to the Lord; be assured, he will not go unpunished. Proverbs 16:5
Who can say, “I have made my heart pure; I am clean from my sin”? Proverbs 20:9
Haughty eyes and a proud heart, the lamp of the wicked, are sin. Proverbs 21:4
Like the glaze covering an earthen vessel are fervent lips with an evil heart. Whoever hates disguises himself with his lips and harbors deceit in his heart; when he speaks graciously, believe him not, for there are seven abominations in his heart; though his hatred be covered with deception, his wickedness will be exposed in the assembly. Proverbs 26:23-26
Also, the hearts of the children of man are full of evil, and madness is in their hearts while they live, and after that they go to the dead. Ecclesiastes 9:3
O Jerusalem, wash your heart from evil, that you may be saved. How long shall your wicked thoughts lodge within you? Jeremiah 4:14
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? Jeremiah 17:9
And behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, “This man is blaspheming.” But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts? Matthew 9:3-4
But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander. These are what defile a person. Matthew 15:18-20
For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.” Mark 7:21-23
But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. James 3:14
These verses do not let us forget the many sins which happen only within and might not be acted upon in the moment: pride, envy, greed, malice, bitterness, lust, selfishness, unbelief, to name a few.
Yet, you will not find (I hope) a Christian who publicly identifies themselves as a Prideful Christian, a Greedy Christian, a Malicious Christian, a Bitter Christian, a Selfish Christian, an Unbelieving Christian, because to do so is to slander the name of Christ, to deny the new self and cling to the old one, and to elevate one sin above all others as especially difficult, impossible, or unnecessary for the Spirit to excise in you. Or--as is more applicable to the Side B movement--to deny that it is a sin at all. It is only Pride if you boast. It is only Greed if you steal. It is only Malice if you harm him. It is only Bitterness if you ghost her. It is only Lust if you scroll through PornHub. It is only Selfishness if you hoard. It is only Unbelief if you recant. Etc., etc. This is not how God defines sin.
On the other hand, you will find (I hope) all Christians regularly repenting of these indwelling sins, despite knowing it is in our nature to harbor and commit them. It seems there isn't a day that goes by that I don't have to repent of pride or faithlessness. Their seeming ever-presence and ease of commission doesn't make them any less sinful; on the contrary, the importance of mortifying them heightens. Which means the importance of distancing myself and the name of Christ as far as possible from them is paramount. To mortify the flesh is to put off the old self in sin and put on the new self in Christ. The old self cannot be your roommate who is sometimes at home with you. The old self is an intruder who must be repeatedly evicted, repelled, and served a restraining order. Paul puts it in even stronger terms when he says in Colossians to "put to death" the old self. We're to use deadly force on that home invader of the Holy Spirit's temple.
You might be thinking, "It can't be sin to merely feel a desire, because I don't even WANT to feel the desire." To which Paul would respond, as he does in Romans 7:14-25:
For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am of the flesh, sold under sin. For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law, that it is good. So now it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin. (Emphasis mine)
As the classicist might put it, our rational will is at war with our appetitive will.
A sniff test for determining a sinful desire: Ask yourself, "In a perfectly holy world, as perfect and holy as God is--in creatures as perfect and holy as God is--could this desire exist?" If the answer is no, it's a sin.
The viewpoint of sin that I have thus far laid out is not (as Catholics may claim) any Lutheran or Puritan invention, but was shared by many early church fathers.
Augustine - “All that a man does wrongfully in ignorance, and all that he cannot do rightly through what he wishes, are called sins because they have their origin in the first sin.” Irenaeus - "We must not only abstain from evil deeds, but even from the desires after them. Now Christ did not teach us these things as being opposed to the law, but as fulfilling the law, and implanting in us the varied righteousness of the law. That would have been contrary to the law if He had commanded His disciples to do anything which the law had prohibited. But this which He did command — namely, not only to abstain from things forbidden by the law, but even from longing after them — is not contrary to the law, as I have remarked, neither is it the utterance of one destroying the law, but of one fulfilling, extending, and affording greater scope to it."
That said, the Westminster Confession of Faith also affirms this doctrine when speaking on Original Sin in Chapter 6:
This corruption of nature, during this life, doth remain in those that are regenerated; and although it be, through Christ, pardoned, and mortified; yet both itself, and all the motions thereof, are truly and properly sin. Every sin, both original and actual, being a transgression of the righteous law of God, and contrary thereunto, doth, in its own nature, bring guilt upon the sinner, whereby he is bound over to the wrath of God, and curse of the law, and so made subject to death, with all miseries spiritual, temporal, and eternal.

Concupiscence. It's Not Just About Sex. Homosexuality, Concupiscence, and the PCA
I began this post with the temptation of Christ because the chief risk or stake of Side B's unbiblical view of sin is the commission of blasphemy against Him. In ascribing original sin to Him, and lowering the Creator to the level of creation, we violate the Third Commandment.
But we also blaspheme when we as Christians identify ourselves with the very sin and guilt Christ took on, bled and died for, pardoned, and now is mortifying in us. This is not merely a matter of semantics: it's a denial of our baptisms. The result is to become a stumbling block for other Christians and a false witness to unbelievers, not to mention the numbing of our own consciences and those of our neighbors.
These are the basic consequences of underestimating or downplaying any sin in the Christian walk. All Christians have evil thoughts, sinful desires, indwelling sin, concupiscence, whatever you want to call it. We can't help it--not on our own. What a relief, then, to read the clear instructions in Colossians 3:7-17:
You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
In my younger youth, before I’d ever heard the term “Side B”, I did espouse their unbiblical belief that the desire for sin is not in itself a sin. And (in my memory) I expressed that lie on Tumblr with all the confidence of a seminary undergrad.
And for that public sin, and the faithlessness that bred it, I publicly repent. I may never know the extent of damage I caused, but I know I am forgiven in Christ.

Ehehehheheh read this yawl :3
They worked hard on this and they better get the appreciation they deserve!! 😤😤
— Love Soldier, I Want Closure —
One day, the Professor realized they have feelings for Ryan Bergara. They weren’t the kind he was craving for though.
SURPRISE!!! Yeah it’s the Ryan x Professor (aka Beefbuds) fic that I’ve been “hinting” at since last month. I was actually gonna rewrite segments of it, but then I noticed that
If I published the fic now, this fic will be the 69th fic in the Puppet History AO3 tag. Hehe, nice.
Today is Aromantic Visibility Day! Aka the most “funny on the surface level but actually extremely fitting once you read it” day I can publish this fic
So SCREW EDITING IT'S OUT NOW

HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE
Besides I cooked with this fic. It needs no further editing (/hyperbole), so if you wanna read a Puppet History fic that includes
A one-sided but genuine exploration of the Ryan/Professor ship that isn't just crack or sexy times
The Professor screaming and crying and throwing up
Detailed descriptions depicting Ryan's ribosome rizz (do not look up what ribosome is)
Wholesome family bonding with both his dino parents and Shane Madej
Aromanticism. That's it that's the line.
Then this fic is for you. Support your local aroace today and support aro people forever or else. Anyways have a good day! ^^

probably says a lot that an adult troll is more practically going to have to live with a moirail than with their matesprit or kismesis like you only need to meet up with those guys every so often but if you need someone to stop you from going berserker mode preferably they have to be readily available in your house. actually maybe that's not true maybe trolls are constantly having these "when you have to talk your highblood boyfriend down from killing everyone on the oil rig over text" moments across the galaxy

Interesting, what's your take on the difference between redrom and human romance?
Honestly the difference is that trolls have quadrants and humans don't. When humans enter a relationship that's kinda just… it. To me, it's bland and boring. I really like exploring emotions and the strictly ❤️ feelings of human romance essentially feel like a dead end. For humans, any negative emotion is generally something to be Fixed or Worked On or a Compromise needs to be met and if not the relationship ends. In troll romance, those feelings mean ur in for some fun potential vacillation 😩 (And maybe requires the help of a ♦️ and/or ♣️ 👀) For trolls, the emotions that create ♠️ and ❤️ relationships are so intertwined (because they come from the same source) that vacillating is pretty common and it's a reason why ♣️ are so important. You cannot have a ♠️ relationship based purely on hate because the positive qualities of a troll are the driving force for another troll's hate towards them -- it would be so easy to be in a ❤️ relationship with this troll if they weren't such an ANNOYING, INFURIATING BASTARD. And the fact that they still manage to have redeemable qualities despite how much they SUCK makes you HATE THEM MORE. There are perpetually ❤️ feelings dwelling deep beneath the surface of a ♠️ relationship and the opposite is the same for ❤️ relationships and it's why it's SO easy to vacillate and why it's so interesting. You pity and emphasize with this troll and love their positive qualities (❤️) but some part of their personality stinks like hot garbage in the sweltering summer sun and if those feelings get intense enough then BAM it's vacillating time. And some trolls can vacillate over and over and over again. So for me personally, troll ❤️ romance is a lot more fun and interesting specifically because of how much more nuanced the emotions that play into their relationships are even though troll romance is generally just one big dumpsterfire mess all the time lol
#ask#dont come at me for this its just my personal onion#but also i love messy quad smearing between concupiscent and conciliatory quads like MMMM [chef kiss] the DRAMA#anyways i think moirails should kiss. an auspistice and their fated pair should also kiss. im right#“moirallegience isnt romance” WRONG#“auspistices arent valuable” WRONG AGAIN
