you wrote about nikolai with younger kids of his own but what would he be like when they’re teens?
oooh i have discussed some of this with @evesoup before :3 okay let's briefly talk about the development of each of his kids (ofc, they are yuri, mari and karol!).
yuri: he is still mama's boy but he's already gotten close with nikolai. it's mostly nikolai teasing and jesting around with yuri. he's the big brother of them all and he's taking care of his siblings very well! when he's a small kid, nikolai taught him a lot of things—basic chores, how to cook, how to repair this or that, how to clean up a murder i mean what. yuri becomes a very capable boy on his own. he listens to his mama almost all the time but since he's a teen now, he does disobey both nikolai and mama sometimes. he's like that one brother who would drive his siblings to local chick-fil-a at midnight. although his young siblings are all menace to him, he's the first person they turn to if they're having issues and couldn't talk about it to their parents.
mari: she's still nikolai's princess through and through, still an adorable girl. she gets anything she wants from nikolai and if there's any naughty boys bothering her, she's ready to throw hands herself. when she's a kid, she's a very sweet girl. but now that she's older, she's getting a little more unhinged. she's the type to catch a pigeon with just a hand in the park. she's already a spoilt kid, so she gets bossy with the men of the house (yea her brothers and papa). but she's quite obedient and a softie when it comes to mama. also she likes to drag mama to go shopping with her while using nikolai's credit card for the rest of the day.
karol: this boy is a gaming twitch streamer, a raging memer and he can do very well in vines. still full of jokes and jests, still spontaneous and naughty. literally nikolai's copycat. he still bothers his siblings (e.g. barges into mari's room just to fart, steals yuri's clothes). while he's pretty rebellious to his mama (not to the extreme degree. they're all good kids), he definitely does not defy nikolai's words at all. if nikolai says no, it means no—even though mama says yes. oh and... he and mari shares that one braincell, clown to clown communication ngl. both of them are up to date with the latest trends and memes.
and of course nikolai's still the best dad ever.

We don't eat at Chick-fil-a or whatever it's called because my parents respect my siblings and I saying we aren't going to support them (and also because they don't like chicken enough to go to a chicken restaurant lmao) but there have been a few times when they've come home and said their coworkers said that Chick-fil-a is really good, why aren't we trying it again? And I have found a hilarious tried-and-true response to get them too disgusted to eat there:
Their sandwiches don't come with mayonnaise. You have to order it extra.
Idk if it's a Boomer thing or what but my parents are FURIOUS that any restaurant would have the audacity to serve a "dry" sandwich and call themselves good food. I've also offered to make a copycat recipe so they can try it but when I mention it's basically just chicken brined in pickle juice they're both just like 'ew no.'

4, 7, 8, 13, 18, 26 for the ask game!
Did you just pull random numbers? Some of these are strange questions, but here is goes.
4. What is a language you'd like to learn?
I speak Korean and French pretty well, a little Spanish and a little Japanese and a little German. But I've always wanted to be truly fluent in another language. I've dreamt in French and in Korean, which I considered a mark of greater fluency if my unconscious mind could make sense of another language. But I don't use either of them at this point in my life, so my fluency has waned.
7. Show us some rocks!
Tumblr media
This is an image from Travelocity, but it's from Carmel-by-the-Sea, California where I was a couple weeks ago. This is the famous Pebble Beach tree.
8 - What's your favorite way to eat a potato?
If I'm being healthy, then roasted with olive oil, garlic, and rosemary. If I'm not caring about being healthy, then my grandpa's recipe for cheesy potatoes that probably have more calories than one should consume in a day.
13- Talk about a scent.
Oooookay. I have a favorite flower in my garden called a eternal fragrance daphne. Every evening while it's blooming, it lets out a puff of the most amazing fragrance. It's a very tropical scent - like a plumeria.
18 - Share with us a recipe
Chick-fil-A Nuggets (Copycat) Recipe - Dinner, then Dessert (dinnerthendessert.com)
My kids LOVE these nuggets more than the ones at Chick-Fil-A. I made a batch tonight with 5 lbs of chicken that will feed my family for about 3 other meals this week that we can do quickly before various baseball games and track meets and piano lessons and other practices. Pop 'em in the air fryer and they're perfect again in a few minutes. Put a few on some lettuce with cukes and tomatoes for a yummy salad in a few minutes. It's a winner.
26 - Favorite meme
Tumblr media
I've never understood the idiom 'He's got balls.' Testicles are weak. They can barely be touched without their owner folding in half in pain. You want to know tough? Grow a pair of ovaries, not balls. Ovaries are dang tough.
Thanks for asking.
