Walker review, episode 7 "Hold me now"
It's a beautiful golden morning and Cordell prepares to fix breakfast of egg and bacon for August but he's already half-way out the door. Come on Auggie, it's bacon, everybody loves bacon! Cordell puts away the egg and bacon and opt for cereal while he reads James' book on a serial killer. Cereal, serial, get it? I slay me.
Little did August know that morning would be the last time his dad would be there for him, and he'd going to wish he had stayed for breakfast.
At Ranger HQ, Cordell is leading the team search for the serial killer called the jackal who was previously dormant but now back and have killed 2 people. Cordell's first choice of suspect, a wife abuser, turned up to be a dead end but that doesn't slow him down. The following day he picks another suspect from the bottom of the least suspicious list, a former zoo keeper whose zoo was the closest site of the first victim. Nobody is on board with Cordell's theory so he's like, no problem, I'll check the defunct zoo myself. Cassie refuse to let Cordell go alone and Luna invites himself along.
The trio arrives at the creepy abandoned zoo and only the audience see the decayed corpse of an animal, a jackal with missing teeth, which is the killer's calling card. Luna and Cassie find a disturbing underground room filled with tools of the killer's trade. Cordell finds fresh tracks and chases a distant figure, who escapes after he ambushes Cordell and knocks him out. Though the killer remains free, the rangers are closer than they've ever been in years and his lair will provide much needed data for a profile.
Cordell is upset that he was so close to catching the killer and is more determined than ever to finish the job. He returns home to find Liam upset that history is repeating itself, Cordell is neglecting his family and Liam is picking up the slack. Cordell says he will make it up to his children and tells Liam to stop being so dramatic. (At this point I', convinced Ben is running the horse rescue.)
Both men are correct and there's no easy answer. A serial killer is on the loose and catching it is not a 9 to 5 job. There's an expectation that public service jobs mean some family times has to be scarified. I know a family that has 3 generations of firefighters, they never spent a single Thanksgiving and Christmas together as a family because the men are too busy putting out kitchen fires and/or fireplace fires caused by idiots. Mothers Day is the only holiday that most criminals take a break from their usual criminal activities.
Cordell goes to his study room filled with research on the jackal and it is revealed that he stole evidence from the killer's lair, a length of rope. Cordell tightly wraps the rope around his wrist as if he's trying to get into the mind of the killer and looking through his eyes. In an earlier scene, Cassie said zoo keeping isn't that much different from ranching and pointedly looks at Cordell.
Sidenote, Luna and Cassie finds the killer's note written in capitalized letters, which is the same style Luna wrote in his love note to Cassie. I really hope this is a red herring for Cassie's sake, her two previous dates literally tried to kill Cordell: for a cause and for revenge, respectively. Cassie doesn't need the third romance to turn out to be another psycho and also I need the three of them to go undercover at a Shadow Hawk convention.
Speculation #4: the Jackal is a member of the survivor network and encouraged people like Henry to blame innocent people. He knew Luna was undercover at the motel and learned his handwriting style to feed false leads to the survivor network.
Score: 9.7 out of 10.  We get to see why Cordell is the best ranger as the stakes are deepening. A point 2 deduction for the stalled necklace mystery, another point 2 deduction for Bonham and Abeline subplot about derailed retirement plans. Point 1 given back for August maturing and being a good kid.

Walker S01E05 Duke
Duke was a hot undercover alias 🔥🔥
What's with the dunking face in sink full of water? Does it really help?
August giving Cordi shit for no reason
Cordi grounding August's ass was sucha dad energy
Cordell changing in the middle of a road was hotter than it needed to be 🔥🔥
oooh that bandana wrapped around Duke's wrist was a nice touch
shut up graves!
Twydell giving us shirtless Jared Padalecki is so delicious
Have I mentioned I love how the word "babygirl" coming out of Jared's mouth??? 😍
Woohoo Micki saving Cordell's ass!
Auggie no! You don't go around ruining your dad's undercover op! This ain't 'bring your kid to work day'. Go, do homework or something
Twyla: Something behind those eyes that's never quite gonna let me in (I love this quote)
the whole "putting Duke to rest" was kinda cool and hey we got an underwater Jared! Man, he looks gorgeous underwater!
Cremating Duke was an SPN Easter egg
I don't know why but I love Stella-Cordell hugs!! Maybe it's just because Jared is a cute girl dad I suppose 😂

Walker's Series Finale Was An Emotional End Of An Era For Jared Padalecki, And I'm Bummed All Over Again
Tumblr media
Spoiler alert for the last-ever episode of Walker on The CW.
Walker has officially come to an end in the 2024 TV schedule after four seasons on The CW, fortunately without any massive cliffhangers beyond what would have happened with James Van Der Beek. It was a pretty happy and hopeful ending, with Walker surrounded by loved ones as they celebrated Auggie's graduation. The family (including Geri) even headed off on a vacation at the end, with one of Cordell's final lines packing a punch: "Yeah, I'm ready." Jared Padalecki may not have been as ready, and the final credits rolling on Walker marked the end of an era for the actor... and had me flashing back to what bummed me out about the Supernatural finale years ago.
Why Walker's Finale Was The End Of An Era
While the finale was the end of the Walker era for everybody involved with the show, this was a much bigger deal for Jared Padalecki, and not just because he was both star and executive producer on the drama. This show's finale marks the first time that the actor ended one show on this network without having a new starring gig on The CW lined up next. He had a key role on Gilmore Girls (which he reprised in 2017 for Netflix subscribers with the A Year in the Life miniseries) from 2000-2005, followed by Supernatural from 2005-2020, then followed by Walker from 2021-2024.
This is the first time that he's not set for another WB/CW project, and even though he pitched a way to return to playing Sam Winchester, fans shouldn't count on him coming back on the network. The end of Walker is the end of a professional era that lasted Padalecki nearly a quarter century.
Why Walker Was A Blast To The Supernatural Past
For all that Supernatural ended after fifteen seasons with Dean getting an anticlimactic death and Sam eventually dying as well, I've always leaned more towards Sam and Dean getting a happy ending rather than an unhappy one out of the 2020 series finale. At the very least, we got two versions of "Carry On Wayward Son" in the episode, and what Supernatural fan doesn't love that song?
And one would think that Supernatural would have a more satisfying finale than Walker, since the whole team knew before Season 14 even finished that Season 15 was the end, and the final two episodes were actually delayed in filming due to the COVID-19 pandemic production shutdowns. The Walker team had already finished filming the episode as a Season 4 finale rather than series finale when the cancellation happened. Supernatural had more than a year to plan the ending, but Walker's ended on a happier note.

I have a angsty AU idea for 3x14 where instead of the FBI safehouse its the Ranch that gets bombed instead by Grey Flag and as far as Cordi and the other Rangers (Bonham and Abby didn't get back to the Ranch yet) know Liam and the kids where killed in the explosion unknown to any of them Liam manages to get himself and a severely injured Stella and Auggie to the hospital but because Cordi has his phone he has no way to let anyone know that he and the kids are alive
That is very interesting, though I wounder why/how Cordell would have Liam's phone rather than his phone just being destroyed in the explosion

Cowgirls Don't Cry
Cordell Walker x Sister!Reader Warnings: Mentions of death and grief, but mostly fluff and emotional conversations.
There’s this feeling when the glue dies, when it becomes clear that someone important and special dies and the mark, they left of the rest of the family becomes clear. That feeling permeated every aspect of life and everybody dealt with the grief in different ways. Maggie threw herself head long into her work, she tended to the horses in the stables all hours of the day and night. Her brother Cordell left and fell into a dark hole; Liam became the glue and voice of reason. That was until Liam proposed the idea of him filing for custody of Stella and August, that broke Maggie’s hold on all that was sane.
The room was still as Liam’s proposal sank in, his words shaking Maggie’s resolve as she tired her best not to lash out. As much as she wanted to reach across the table and punch her brother in the face, she couldn’t do it, not in front of the kids.
“How dare you,” Maggie seethed, her face not hiding the anger she held for her brother in that moment. The rest of the walker family simply stared at the young brunette women as she uncharacteristically fought with the middle Walker sibling.
“What do you mean, Stella and Auggie need stability and a Cordell isn’t here to do it so why not” Liam spoke, trying to reason with his little sister. While normally the only daughter of Abeline and Bonham Walker would join her brother in being the voice of reason in the family, today it seemed Liam’s words were the straw that broke the camels back.
“Don’t talk like he’s gone, Cords not gone like that” Maggie chastised her brother trying desperately to not raise her voice in front of Stella and August, but she couldn’t help it. In her mind, Liam’s suggestion was him talking like Cordell was dead and the family needed to move on.
“Maggie, Your brother isn’t suggesting anything,” Abeline tired to sooth her only daughter’s rage. “Not in front of the kids” she urged her child.
“No Momma, He’s…He’s talking as Cord’s never coming back” Maggie said teary eyed. While Maggie always told people that she loved both her brothers equally, something about Emily’s death and Cordell leaving that in this moment she despised Liam.
“Y/N Y/M/N Walker” Bonham’s firm voice cut harshly though the impending fight. Maggie looked at her father in teary silence. Without another word Maggie left the room, the house and escaped to the only place she’d ever felt at peace, the stables.
Liam found his sister sniffing away and rubbing her eyes with her head in her hands, tucked away in the corner of an empty stall. She had dug up a blanket the siblings had kept in the barn for moments just like this. Stepping into the stall, Liam sat down pulling his sister in his arms.
“I’m sorry, we all miss him you know” Liam spoke into his sister’s hair as sobs racked through her. Her walls crumbling as she was enveloped in the safety of her brother’s arms. While she might have hated Liam for his suggestion, the comfort she felt in his arms was something she was craving as her emotions got the best of her. The siblings sat there in the silent night, Liam letting Maggie cry.
“Frist Emily and now Cordi, I don’t know if I can do it any more Liam”.
“You’re not alone Rae”.
“Is he dead?” While her question was not out of the realm of possibility, the fact that his teary-eyed sister had timidly asked it anyway shook Liam a little. Liam didn’t respond for a minute; he didn’t know what to say to console her. In the end Liam only whispered a simple ‘no’, causing a new, fresh wave of tears to flood down her blotchy cheeks.
For the following months Liam regularly checked in with his sister and soon persuaded her to talk to someone. While Maggie still threw herself into her work, her conversations with Dr Levitt helped her redirect her pain and loss into healing via her interactions with her family. Maggie invested deeply into both Stella and August’s life and schooling, she encouraged both teens to came and talk to her when they needed or no one else would listen, Aunty Maggie would listen. The Walker family learned to move forward, to understand their feelings relating to Emily’s death, even with the dark cloud of Cordell’s absence looming over them. Y/N never wanted to take Emily’s place as the family’s glue, but when a void appears in the family, someone must fill this important role.
When Cordell returned it was like the last few months never happened. The moment Maggie laid eyes on her brother, and she saw the worn look in his eyes, the stone walls and supports she’d built crumbled within seconds. She became distant once again, throwing herself into her work on the ranch once again.
***
The sun was slowly rising over the family ranch when Cordell drove back up the drive. His brain foggy with memories of Emily. The ranch was quiet, at this time in the morning, he didn’t think a single soul would be up yet. Then he saw Maggie walk across the yard and towards the stables. Even from this distance, Cordell could see the sag in her shoulders and the sluggishness in her walk. Sat in his truck a little longer and watched as a small smile graced his sisters’ lips when she opened the stable doors and greeted the horses housed within. Later, when he entered the family kitchen, his sister was notably absent.
“Morn’ Mamma,” Cordell greeted Abeline Walker, embracing her and kissing her head.
“Morning Darling” Abeline gestured to the pot of coffee on the counter and flipped the pancakes.
“Where’s Nolia?”
“Probably out with the horses, why don’t you go rangle her in for breakfast” His mother asked as Cordell downed his first coffee of the day. Cordell merely nodded and ventured out to the stables. The family’s large stables oak doors were swung wide open, and Cordell could see his sister tending to an young Tennessee walker colt.
“He’s new” Quipped the Texas ranger.
“Yeah, Daddy and I found him injured wondering the Davison’s old land” Maggie answered absentmindedly, stroking the nose of the chestnut-coloured colt.
“What’s his name” By now Cordell was leaning against the door to the colt’s stall.
“Cordi”
“You missed me that much huh”.
“Yeah, I guess mamma sent you” Maggie quipped turning to her brother, Cordell once again merely nodded in response, “You want to see something”. Cordell raised his eyebrows in query, Maggie mentioned for him to follow her. The pair walked further down the stables.
“You remember Pop tart the Appaloosa mare daddy got me for my birthday a few years ago,” Cordell hummed, that horse had been Y/N’s pride and joy, she rode the mare any chance she could come rain or shine, “Well a few months ago she had a filly”.
Maggie leant against a new stall, this one was occupied by a large white and grey speckled appaloosa and a smaller almost identical filly. “I couldn’t help myself and named her Emily”.
Cordell watched as the small filly crossed the stall and left the comfort zone of her mother. Reaching his hand into the stall, the filly gave a tentative sniff. Maggie nudged her brother’s arm and handed him a small carrot, which he offered to the foal. Emily excitably munched on the treat before pushing her head into Cordell’s hand once more, searching for more carrots.
“Why Emily,”
“She was born a week after you left, everyone was so lost, when daddy asked me what we should call her, Emily was the only name I could think of. The kids seemed to brighten up a little when I told them her name. Stella even helped me tend to her those first few months” She answered as she refilled the feed and water buckets in the stall.
Weeks past before Cordell got the courage to talk to his little sister again, this time he came armed with the knowledge of Liam betrayal and how defensive the young women had gotten. Once again, he found her tending to the horses in the barn.
“Maggie” Came Cordell’s voice, laced with an unusual mix of uncertainty and confidence for the Texas ranger. The women in question simply hummed in acknowledgement as she brushes the stallion’s coat. “I know what Liam did”
The barn remained silent; it was as if the few months that Cordell had been undercover were a period that his sister mere wished to forget now that he has come home.
“We were all grieving Em’s death and then your disappearing act really rocked to boat” Y/N’s voice was soft as her hand stilled, Adonis – the stallion maggie was tending to whined slightly at the lack of attention. “Then Liam suggested petitioning for custody of the kids, i…I just couldn’t believe he even thought about it…to me it felt like he thought you were never coming back and…I…I thought he was suggesting y…you…were…dead” She stuttered around her tears. Cordell didn’t respond both his brother and Stella had recounted the pain and anger in the usually soft and understanding women when Liam brought up his idea at family dinner. Instead, he simply stepped forward and wrapped his arms around Y/N.
“I know, thank you for defending me”.
“Always”
“Now,” Cordell said after separating from the hug and clasping his hands together, “Whatever Momma is cooking smells absolutely amazing” Y/N smiled and followed her brother back into the family home, linked at the elbows like they use to do as kids.
Abeline’s smile grew when she saw her children walk into the kitchen, Y/N giggling loudly, seemingly at something Cordell had said. For their mother, it sparked joy to see her baby girl smile a genuine smile, something that hadn’t graced her lips since the family received the news of Emily’s death. She hoped and prayed that night that the smile on Y/N’s lips never had to leave ever again.

Y/N might have been in the same grade as Stella, but August was the Walker that she’d grown the closest to since the pair transferred to Sacred Hearts High School. August and she had gotten to be good friends thanks to the music electives they shared and the after-school jazz club, but secretly she’d always hoped that one day they might be more. The trouble was that August was still going to Sacred Hearts while she went off to a local college, so Y/N wasn’t seeing the boy nearly as often as she used to. She’d been at his party at the Side Step and they’d had a nice catch-up over an awful-tasting beer, but then he’d had to play host and try to stop things from getting too rowdy. He hadn’t been very successful and Y/N had had the good sense to abandon ship before things got too crazy and the cops showed up.
The party hadn’t been the reunion she had been hoping it would be, which is why she came up with this plan instead.
Straightening her hair one more time, Y/N knocked on the door to Walker Ranch, the cobbler she had brought with her clutched nervously in her other hand. She was momentarily confused when it wasn’t actually any of the Walker family who came to answer the door.
“Coach Barnett?” Y/N asked in surprise when her old school counselor and soccer coach swung the door open, its harvest wreath banging against the wood with the force of his pull.
“Y/N, hey,” he greeted, also a little confused from the expression on his face as he glanced between her and the tin-foiled casserole dish she held. “C’mon in,” he beckoned her inside and stepped back so she could enter, closing the door behind her. “I didn’t realize the kids had invited anybody for dinner. Stella’s still grounded,” he added with a grimace.
“Oh, uh, they don’t know I’m here,” Y/N shuffled awkwardly in place. “I kind of wanted to surprise August.” She could feel herself flushing under Coach Barnett’s gaze as a knowing smile spread across his full lips.
“Oookay, I see how it is,” he smirked. “Well, I’m sure you’ll be more than welcome. It’s always the more the merrier at the Walkers’,” he laughed, reaching out and taking the cobbler from her. “Come on through to the kitchen and we’ll see where Auggie’s hiding himself.”
“Thanks, Coach,” Y/N smiled nervously as she followed him further inside the impeccably decorated house.
“I’m not a coach anymore kiddo, you can call me Trey,” he smiled over his shoulder and Y/N nodded. “Hey, we’ve got a new addition!” Trey announced as they reached the kitchen, and Y/N saw August and Stella’s dad turn around from his position in front of the stove, and their grandmother looked up from where she was chopping potatoes on the island counter.
“Oh, hey there,” Mr. Walker smiled brightly. “You’re uh, Y/N, right? Auggie’s friend from band last year?”
“Yeah, that’s me,” Y/N took the hand Mr. Walker offered her and shook it. “It’s nice to meet you, Mr. Walker.”
“Psh, It’s Cordell,” he waved away the title. “My daddy is still Mr. Walker around here. And this is Auggie’s Mawline, she’s Mrs. Walker,” Cordell gestured to his mother and she gave Y/N a cheery wave.
“I brought a peach cobbler,” Y/N pointed to the dish that Trey had set down on the counter. “I’m sorry for showing up unannounced, I sort of wanted to surprise Auggie, if that’s okay.” She looked down at the hem of her sleeve and picked at the loose thread there in a bit of embarrassment as all the adults in the room shared knowing smiles with each other over her head.
“That’s very sweet of you,” Mawline said graciously. “Peach is Auggie’s favorite.”
“The kids are out in the farmhouse, if you wanted to go hang out with them until dinner is ready,” Cordell spoke up, pointing in the direction of the second house on the property. “I would tread lightly though,” he cringed, “Stels and August aren’t on the best terms right now.”
“Yeah, I know,” Y/N nodded. “That’s why I wanted to come talk to him, I’m hoping I might be able to help them sort things out,” she shrugged again, hugging her arms around her middle.
“Well that would certainly be a Thanksgiving miracle,” Trey laughed brightly.
“You go on out there, and someone will come down and get you guys when the food is ready,” Cordell smiled, giving Y/N a bracing pat on the shoulder before returning to the stove, which had several pots that were on the verge of bubbling over.
“Thanks,” Y/N nodded to everyone as she exited the kitchen and made her way across the yard.
Tumblr media
“August?” Y/N called out. She had knocked a few times and no one had answered but the door was unlocked so she let herself in. Once again, there was no answer, but she could faintly hear some music coming from upstairs, so she followed the sound.
“Stella? August?” she tried asking again when she reached the upstairs hall. She passed an open door and saw what must be Stella’s room, worryingly empty considering Trey had said that she was grounded. There was movement and shuffling sounds coming from slightly further down, so Y/N kept walking, but before she made it to the next door it swung open and a flustered looking August stuck his head into the hall around the edge of his door.
“Y/N!?” He straightened up in surprise and stepped further into the hall, awkwardly stepping forward and accepting the hug she offered in greeting. “Wh-what uh, what’re you doing here?”
“I felt like we didn’t really get to talk very much the other night, so I thought I’d come surprise you for Thanksgiving,” Y/N shrugged hopefully, immediately regretting her plan. This was stupid. What made her think August would want her to stop by for the holidays.
“Oh, uh, sure,” August stuttered, glancing nervously over his shoulder towards his bedroom door, which he had carefully pulled shut behind himself when he’d stepped into the hallway. “Um, thing is, Y/N, I-,” he glanced behind him towards his bedroom again, looking guilty, and it dawned on Y/N why he was acting so fidgety.
“Oh my god, you have someone over,” Y/N gasped in embarrassment, feeling her cheeks flame up in humiliation and hurt. “Fuck, I’m so sorry, I shouldn’t have come.” She turned on her heel and started back down the hallway.
“Y/N, wait!” August called after her, but she was already running down the stairs and out the front door, trying–unsuccessfuly–to fight back the tears in threatening to spill from her eyes.
Y/N raced back across the yard, towards the Ranch house, intent on skirting around the edge and making a beeline for her car. She would sacrifice her mother’s casserole dish as another casualty of this whole failed enterprise. She made it as far as the back porch unimpeded before someone shouting her name caught her attention and she turned on instinct.
“Y/N? Y/N!” Cordell called after her as she tried to keep running past him, but the obscenely long-legged man caught up with her in barely three strides, catching her by the shoulder and holding her back. “Hey, what’s wrong?” he asked, crouching down to her level and trying to make her look at him.
“It’s stupid, I’m so stupid,” Y/N shook her head, trying to pull out of Cordell’s grasp, but he wasn’t planning on letting her go and after a moment she found herself collapsing into the man’s broad chest, being rocked in a big hug.
“Hey, hey, hey, it’s okay. You’re not stupid, I’m sure it’s not that bad,” Cordell murmured, letting her cry against him and petting her hair soothingly as she buried her hands in the thick flannel he was wearing. “What’s going on? Maybe I can help,” he asked gently, pulling away slightly to look down at her, but Y/N shook her head dejectedly.
“I’m sorry, my problems aren’t your problems, and I don’t want to get anyone in trouble,” Y/N sniffled and wriggled out of Cordell’s arms, but he wrapped his big hands around her shoulders and locked her in place.
“Woah, there, now you’ve got me curious. Who’s gettin’ in trouble darlin’?” Y/N looked guiltily over her shoulder towards the farmhouse. “What are they doing in there?” Cordell sighed wearily, the weight of a father settling firmly on his shoulders.
“Well, uh, Auggie, he had, umm, company,” Y/N cringed as she ratted out her friend. She didn’t mention that Stella had been nowhere in sight, she didn’t want them both getting in trouble.
“Oh,” Cordell blinked, his face scrunching up in sympathy. “Oh, darlin’, I’m sorry,” he ducked back down to her level and squeezed her shoulders in an effort to be comforting.
“It’s okay,” Y/N shrugged, even though it didn’t feel okay. “Like I said, I’m just being stupid.”
“That’s not what I’d call it,” Cordell smiled gently. “From the sounds of it, my son is the one who’s being stupid here. You’re a beautiful girl, Y/N. If he’s missing out on that, that’s his problem, not yours.”
“Thanks,” Y/N tried to smile weakly, feeling a little dazzled by August’s incredibly handsome father calling her beautiful, but she knew he was just trying to be nice. “I’ll get going now, I don’t think staying for dinner is a good idea anymore,” she tried to make her exit as Cordell straightened up, but he spun her around and marched her back towards the Ranch house.
“Nonsense,” he shook his head. “Come inside and hang out for a bit. Mawline went out with Mr. Walker to bring some food to a friend of theirs across town. Me and Trey could use the supervision to make sure we don’t burn down the kitchen.”
Y/N had no idea why Cordell would want her to stick around but she let herself be led back inside all the same. She was even more confused when Trey and Cordell shared a look over her head as she slid into a chair by the island counter, and Trey then went to the fridge and got out a fresh bottle of beer, knocking the cap off of it on the edge of the countertop and then passing it over to her. She looked between the men with suspicion. They were both Texas Rangers, were they trying to trick her into breaking the law or something?
“It’s fine, Y/N, really,” Cordell chuckled deeply, the warmth of his smile setting a small blaze alight in the base of her stomach. “I know what kids get up to in college, hell in high school,” he scoffed and shared a knowing look with Trey who nodded seriously. “Trouble in love calls for a beer and some distraction, that’s all.”
Hesitantly, Y/N took a sip of her drink, maintaining eye contact with Cordell the whole time, and he nodded encouragingly at her when she swallowed.
“Good girl,” he praised, reaching out and patting the side of her head lightly, carding his fingers through her hair a bit under the pretense of tucking it behind her ear. Y/N couldn’t help the shiver that ran through her as the man’s fingers skimmed down the column of her throat while he walked by, heading back to the stove to inspect the pots still cooking there.
“So, trouble in love?” Trey asked, his full lips pouting in sympathy, and Y/N nodded in dejection.
“You know darlin’,” Cordell spoke up, turning off the burners on the stove and covering up all the pots. “My son’s an idiot.” Trey snickered into his own beer and Y/N looked at Cordell in astonishment. “I’m serious,” he continued, coming back to Y/N’s side and putting a hand on her shoulder. “He’s got a beautiful older girl like you interested in him and he’s not trying to sneak you into his room right now? He’s an idiot,” Cordell repeated earnestly, and Y/N flushed heavily, feeling her breathing ratchet up as a foreign tension began to thicken the air in the kitchen.
“If you want my opinion,” Trey cut in, coming around to Y/N’s other side and leaning casually against the countertop on his elbow, bringing his face closer to hers. “You shouldn’t be wasting your time with high school boys who don’t have a clue what they’re doing. You deserve a man who can treat you right.”
Y/N felt like she was about to choke on her own tongue. She looked between Trey and Cordell in astonishment, eyes flitting back and forth and waiting for one of them to break into laughter and tell her they were teasing her. Cordell’s hand dropped from her shoulder to the base of her spine, pressing hot into the dip of her back.
“There’s so much more we could show you, darlin’,” he whispered hoarsely, his voice deep and gravelly in a way she had never heard from anyone before. “Things Auggie’s never even dreamt of,” he smirked, leaning down and brushing his lips over the shell of her ear, making her shiver.
“N-no, we can’t,” Y/N whimpered as Cordell pressed a soft kiss against the side of her neck, sweeping her hair aside. “Auggie and Stella would be mortified, they’d never forgive me. It’s– you’re old enough to be my father, it’s wrong–” her rambling was cut off as Y/N gasped when the man’s tongue slipped against her skin on his next slow kiss. This was all so wrong but something about that made it even more tempting. God, she’d never be able to set foot in church with her family ever again.
“Trey’s not quite old enough to be your dad, would you rather it be him?” Cordell asked wryly, turning her face towards the other man who didn’t wait for an answer before leaning down and teasing his lips over her, the smallest bit of distance between them. “And forget about Auggie, he’ll get over it. I want you to think of yourself for once,” he kept whispering in her ear while Trey simply hovered in front of her, waiting for the okay to close the barely existent gap.
“We wanna show you what it’s like to fuck a real man,” Trey rasped, his lips skimming against hers as he spoke, his tongue brushing ever so gently against the pout of her bottom lip, and Y/N was lost. She leaned into Trey’s kiss and let his mouth envelop hers. A hand at the back of her head pushed her more urgently against him, and she felt Trey’s arms wrap around her waist as he groaned and opened her lips with his tongue. Y/N had never felt so overwhelmed or so turned on in her life as when she heard Auggie’s dad growl ‘good girl’ against her ear.
Tumblr media
The first time Cordell slapped her Y/N reeled back in shock, not quite comprehending what had happened.
“What do you think you’re doing, you little slut?” the Ranger grunted, slapping her other cheek and pulling her by the hair back towards his cock. He slapped her again when she didn’t immediately open her mouth to take him in again, and when she gasped from the sting of his blow Cordell slipped himself back into the warmth of her mouth eagerly. “I didn’t tell you to stop sucking, c’mon darlin’,” he spat angrily, burying his hands in her hair and holding her face smashed into the skin of his hips, choking as his dick forced itself down her throat. The burn of being unable to breathe was terrifying but somehow exhilarating at the same time, and Y/N found herself moaning from the feelings of arousal that were surging between her legs.
Trey laughed from somewhere off to the side, and Y/N knew he was still pointing his phone camera at her, recording their every move. It was an insurance policy, they said. No one could accuse anybody of anything if there was video evidence that everyone was a consenting adult. No one could blab to anybody, because the video would incriminate all of them–not that they were doing anything technically illegal, but it was certainly immoral, and taboo as hell.
“Look at the little whore, she loves it,” Trey called from his spot behind the camera. “Auggie never would have been able to give you this, would he, baby girl?”
Y/N moaned again in answer, not doubting for a second that August never would have been this rough with her. She never would have thought to ask.
“Told ya we’d teach you about things he’s never even dreamed,” Cordell groaned, now flexing his hips to fuck her throat steadily as he held her in place, his grip on her hair making it impossible to move. “Fuck, you look so pretty on your knees for me, Y/N. Like you were made to take my cock like this.”
“I bet there’s some other parts of her made for cock, too,” Trey piped up and Cordell threw his head back in laughter, groaning as he pulled out and let Y/N get a proper breath in. She doubled over on her hands and knees, coughing and gasping around the air that was rushing into her deprived lungs. The renewed oxygen racing around her blood stream was making her feel high, and it felt fucking incredible.
“Yeah, I get the hint,” Cordell chuckled deeply, motioning for Trey to hand over the phone to him. “Get her up on the bed and show her what those holes are for.”
Y/N felt herself being lifted into the air as Trey picked up on and tossed her onto the bed carelessly, crawling after her onto the mattress. He positioned himself at the head of the bed, lying back against the pillows and headboard, legs spread obscenely to show off his body. His cock was thick, hard, and standing to attention, dark and glistening. His balls looked full and heavy as he slid a palm beneath himself and gave them a squeeze, arranging himself comfortably before he grabbed onto the base of his cock and stood it up straight. Y/N could feel her pussy clenching wantonly in anticipation of having that inside of her.
“Well, what’re you waiting for, hop on cowgirl,” Trey grinned, stroking himself lazily and beckoning Y/N forward. “Walker, get up here, I want a close up of me taking this baby slut’s virginity. Gonna make her squirt on my dick.”
“Oh fuck,” Y/N whined, their objectifying talk making her weak with pleasure. Sitting up on her knee and straddling Trey’s lap, she let him guide the tip of his cock through her folds, slicking up the tip before he began to push himself inside. “Oh god, oh my god,” she gasped. This felt so much better than she’d ever imagined. It was nothing like her own bony fingers; Trey was thick and hot and somehow simultaneously hard and soft at the same time. She could feel the give and resistance of his flesh inside of her, carving her apart to fit around him like a mold.
“Holy shit I’m gonna jerk off to this video so much,” Cordell moaned from behind them, and Y/N whimpered in embarrassment at the idea that she was losing her virginity in a threesome on tape. August and Stella’s dad had had his cock down her throat hardly a minute ago, and now he was watching her sit on his fellow Ranger’s cock and filming it for his own personal spank bank. From the sounds of his breathy groans he was really enjoying the view. If it looked as good as she felt, Y/N wasn’t surprised.
“Oh, you did so good, baby girl,” Trey brushed his hands down her hair as Y/N collapsed forward against his chest, finally seated all the way in the Ranger’s lap, their hips grinding together instinctually as she rocked against him and tried to recover her breath. “Taking me so good all on your first try, knew you were made to be a little slut,” he growled, his hips bucking up against her slightly.
Without warning, a hand was wrapping around Y/N’s throat and she gasped heavily, sitting up fast and making Trey groan as she fucked herself back onto his cock inadvertently. Cordell’s fingers were long enough to wrap around to each side of her neck easily, and he was squeezing against her veins tightly, beginning to cut off the blood supply.
“Fuck him,” Cordell demanded, smacking her on the ass to sput her into moving. “C’mon darlin’, you came over to get some dick today, we're giving it to you. But you still gotta work for it.” He tightened his grip in tiny pulses, letting the air and blood make it to Y/N’s brain in small bursts as she began to bounce on Trey’s cock. The younger man’s hands crept around her body and dug bruisingly deep into the flesh of her ass, holding her apart so Cordell could watch her pussy swallowing Trey’s cock. Idly, Y/N wondered what he’d done with the phone, because one of Cordell’s hands stayed locked around her throat while the other one slid down her stomach to her clit to toy with it idly while she fucked herself.
“You gonna cum for me, baby girl?” Trey grunted, beginning to fuck into Y/N’s thrusts when her pace started to falter. “Can feel you twitching around me. You wanna cum on my cock? Gon’ squirt real good for me and Cordi? Fuck, choke her harder man, she clenches up so tight when she can’t breathe. Fuck yeah, that’s it, shit. So good, darlin’. C’mon now. Cream yourself for us, show us what a good fucking whore you can be, yeah? Yeah, there you go sweetheart!” Trey grunted triumphantly, thrusting up harshly, the sound of wet slapping echoing lewdly amongst the three of them. “Fuck you feel so good cumming on me like that. You gotta feel it, Cordi.”
Y/N collapsed to her side onto the mattress as she regained some of her sanity. It felt like she had blacked out a little when she came, and her body was still shaking as she lay, spent and used on the covers. Trying to focus her gaze, she saw Trey and Cordell looking at her hungrily, both stroking their cocks while Trey pointed his phone towards her, scanning up and down her body to take in just how ruined she was. Y/N bet it made quite the sight.
“You– you didn’t finish,” Y/N mumbled breathlessly, looking at Trey’s still very much erect cock.
“Oh, darlin’,” Cordell laughed darkly, reaching down and pulling her up towards him. “We’re not boys, and we’re nowhere near done with you yet.” He brought her face to his and kissed her deeply, sucking her tongue into his mouth and apparently trying to suck all the air straight out of her lungs. They both gasped brokenly when he finally let her go, his chest and shoulders heaving as he held her against him, looking down at her with hunger. “And we’re not gonna be finished until we’re both inside that cunt and filling you up with all that cum you’re desperate for. No one is allowed to leave the Walkers on Thanksgiving without being stuffed full.”

@howaerds asked: " He's a kid, he's proud and stupid. " { from @howaerds after he finds the phone in auggie's bed 😭 }
Tumblr media
"Yeah...He's definitely proud of himself. But he doesn't know the can of worms he's just opened by making contact with Twyla. Now I'm gonna have to go back undercover again, one last time. It's that or have my loyalty questioned." Cordell replied, closing his eyes and taking a breath. He had been trying to get that time out of his mind. The person he had become, or had to pretend to be. All fresh out of the death of his late wife. It wasn't something he was in any hurry to relive. There were so many risks by going back there. Just when he thought he'd finally hung Duke Culpepper up for good. "Who knows how long this'll take ontop of everything else. I was gone for months, nearly a year the last time I had to do this...."

Walker's Jared Padalecki Talks Finale's Killer Threat, Why He's 'Excited and Nervous' About Cordell/Geri's Future
TVLINE | First of all, congrats on the renewal! Thank you so much! Certainly a relief. We’ve all been waiting on bated breath. So to get that vote of confidence was a huge, huge deal. And [Wednesday was] Odette Annable’s birthday. [Thursday] is Coby [Bell’s] birthday. [Kale Culley’s] birthday is this month. So they were all kind of mentioning on the cast text thread like, “Best birthday present ever!” It was very awesome to be able to share that awesome news with the gang.
TVLINE | You planted a lot of seeds for next season, so thank God you got that renewal. Which storyline are you most excited for in Season 4 coming off the finale? Well, I guess I’m a glutton for punishment. I kind of tend to have a lot of interesting storylines that deal with the character having to confront past traumas. Obviously, I did that for many, many years on Supernatural as Sam Winchester. And so, the storyline of the Jackal, of this case that went cold that really consumed Captain James and Cordell Walker many years ago, the fact that that might be reopened is very exciting. We’ve seen Captain James be a stalwart for the whole Ranger organization and for his friend Cordell. So I think it’s nice that, hopefully next season, I’ll get to return the favor and be there for him when he’s kind of having to revisit some of his past trauma. So that’s, I don’t want to say No. 1 on my list, but certainly high on my list.
I also love the bombshell of August wanting to go into the military, and Cordell not knowing how to really approach it and going, “Well, I did it. So who am I to say, ‘Don’t do it’? I’m just saying, ‘Don’t do it just yet.'”
And I’m very, very excited about the Cordell/Geri storyline and seeing where they go. They kind of gave it a preliminary shot, and that didn’t stick. But now that their lives are different and that they’ve had some time to really think about it and digest it, I think they could make a good tag-team for Stella and Auggie
TVLINE | But between the serial killer and the FBI task force, how worried should we be that work is going to get in the way of Cordell and Geri’s re-sparked romance? Or are they finally ready to give it a real try? [Laughs] I think we can rest assured that it will get in the way, and that’s going to be the exciting part to explore and play and find out alongside the writers and the audience, to see just how realistic it is for Cordell to find love again and for Geri to find love again. Obviously, we saw Hoyt come back in Episode 17 of the third season, so we know that she’s been happy with somebody. There were asterisks, obviously, with Hoyt, and I guess there are asterisks with Cordell, as well, because his job is serious and can be dangerous and can, as we’ve seen, kind of bleed into his home, his family and all that. So I’m excited and… I don’t want to say hesitant. I’m excited and nervous to explore that with the writers next season.
TVLINE | He did ask her to stay with him for the summer. So can we at least assume he’s definitely not going to accept the FBI gig? Well, it wouldn’t start until after the summer anyways. And so, he’s going to have time to think about it, and he’s going to have to kind of measure whether it’s important enough. He doesn’t want to do a Rodeo Kings thing again. He doesn’t want to get caught up in something again, and I think he’s starting to really put roots down with his family and with the people he loves. I’m, obviously, not having any conversations with the writers right now because they are on strike, and I support them very much. But as soon as we’re all back in the pool, I can’t wait to see what their thoughts are on what Walker’s decision will be.
TVLINE | We also need to talk about Walker’s other kid because that cliffhanger with Stella was quite dramatic. And it was interesting that she chose to go to Liam, not her father, for help. Do you think that will cause a rift within the family? That’s a good question. I don’t think so. It’s possible. I can understand why Walker would be upset. And maybe this is unimportant or uninteresting, but the reason it happened the way it happened is because of location issues we had. So initially, Liam was just going to be the first person she ran into, like she was just going to see him while she was figuring out who to tell. And so he was the first person [she saw], and she wasn’t able to call her dad, and so she told Liam. But also, Walker presumably didn’t really have his phone on him, he wasn’t checking it a whole lot. He was helping with bacon and eggs at the Side Step for the after party. [Laughs] I think Walker always finds himself in the position — and God, I guess, Jared has found himself in the same position as well — of August went to Bonham to talk about enlisting. Stella seemingly went to Liam to talk about the crazy situation that she and Sadie find themselves in at the end of the episode. So it might give him pause, but I think he’ll ultimately understand.
TVLINE | I wondered if maybe it had to do with the fact that he’s an authority figure, he’s part of the police so to speak, so it puts him in an ethically compromised position, as well, if she goes to him. Yeah, you know, to that end, maybe it does upset Walker. Thinking about it now, now that I know we’re going to explore it next season, Walker would certainly feel kind of bombarded. He son is coming at him, saying, “Hey, I talked to Gramps about this,” and his daughter is going to ultimately have to admit, “Hey, I talked to Liam about that.” He might find himself in a position of like, “Whoa, what am I chopped liver? This is what I deal with, keeping my family safe, keeping the people of Texas safe as best I can. So why would you not immediately call me? Why would you not come to me?” I’m sure Walker will find out very quickly what happened, and hopefully he can focus on the task at hand and not get too emotionally involved with feeling hurt.

Some of the things I want to carry from season 3 to season 4 are the walker family dynamics. Cordell with both Auggie and Stella-both kids are becoming adults, and their own persons. Cordell with his parents and his brother. The events of the kidnapping and everything else that happened in season 3 showed that the brothers have a bond beyond just being part of the same family. They need to nurture that and accept that their roles are not set in stone. They can help each other beyond the previously established roles. Plus Abby and Bonham need to accept that their children are grown and they need to change how the family dynamic functions. I want to see the entire family giving live and support in new ways that uplift the individual members. While also including and expanding for new additions. The family being united against an outside force, and being stronger for it.

Gone Girl 3- Missing Persons
Tumblr media
Author’s Note: Here we go, down the Walker hole! My beta for this is Miss Cupcake (@petitegateau991 on tumblr)
Summary: Cordell goes looking for info on Y/n.
Pairing: none yet
Word Count: 1331
Story Warnings: not much just felonies to get info, mentions of death of a
~~~~
Cordell looked around the office before sitting down. He wasn't strictly allowed to look into the woman using Ranger resources, but Y/n was too suspicious. He put her name into the system, but nothing came up. No court records in any Texas court, no speeding tickets, not even a vehicle operator's license or state ID. Y/n Salama didn’t exist according to Texas.
He tried a few different spellings and anything that might be a long form of the name, but nothing came up.
So, he went to Google. The search site gave him no more than searching through official channels. She didn't seem to have an online presence, either.
"Who doesn't have social media these days?" he asked himself before pulling out his phone. The phone rang twice before it connected. "Hey, Geri."
"Cordell Walker. What in the world are you doin' callin' me at 7am?"
"Need a favor." He waited for her to get her moans and groans and complaints out before he continued. "New girl, Y/n, I need to know who she is."
"What? Why?"
"Just a feelin' I have. Can you get into the file cabinet in the office and get me some info?" He cleared his throat and looked around the office again. "Maybe her Social Security number?"
"Ranger, are you asking me to perform identity theft?"
"No. Not that far, just...gather information."
"Personal information. Wha-what's this feeling you have?"
"That she's not who she says she is. I mean, she says she went to one of the toughest schools in Dallas. White has, what, four gangs and some of the lowest test scores in the state and more kids that get locked up each year than graduate...but she speaks like a debutante? She's got tan lines on her left hand, but I can't find any record of her being married. I can't find any record of her, at all. So, maybe she's lying about her name for some reason and I can look her up based on that social yer gonna get me?" He didn't mention the way she treated his cuts and bruises.
Geri sighed heavily, sending static through the phone. "Fine. I will try to get in and get your information."
“Thank you ever so much, Geraldine,” he teased before slumping a little in his chair. “Seriously. Keep an eye on her for me, too. Something’s not right."
"Right," she responded dryly.
"What?"
"If you're doin' this because she's cute, you could just-"
"She's not cute. Jesus, just...let me know what you find out."
"Whatever you say. I'm goin' back to sleep."
Cordell rolled his eyes as he set his cell on his desk. He would investigate her more later.
~~~~~~~
"I've got a soccer game tomorrow. You aren't planning to get kidnapped before then, are you?" Stella asked as Cordell sat at the dinner table that night.
Auggie and Bonham chuckled but Abilene shook her head. "That isn't funny, Stella. Your father could have been killed."
"He's always almost getting killed," the teen sassed back.
"But at least he's almost getting killed in Austin," Bonham chimed.
"Thanks, Dad," Cordell said, picking up a roasted potato with his fork. "I have no plans on being abducted or almost gettin' killed between now and your next soccer game, Stel. I'll be there."
"Good, because I'm starting forward and I'm gonna kick butt."
Everyone except Auggie smiled, proud of the young athlete. "Of course you're gonna kick butt. Can't wait to see it." Stella smiled at her father's words and focused on her plate.
"So, they got all the guys who were running that fight ring?" Auggie asked.
Cordell's eyes went to his mother's. Abilene was blatantly unhappy with the conversation choice. "Yeah. Pretty sure. I mean, my head was a little fuzzy in the debrief but I think they did. How, uh, how's school comin'?" he asked to switch subjects. His mother smiled at him as she listened to Auggie talk.
~~~~~
"Okay, so she's not just awkward and uptight," Geri said, leaning across the bar closer to Walker. "I started askin' her 'bout her family...normal shit, right? 'How's yer mama an' them?' kinda stuff and she suddenly remembered she had to go clean the Men's room. I asked if she had any friends in town, she said 'not yet' so I asked her what kinda crazy she is to move somewhere with no job or support system waiting for her and she clammed up." Geri shook her head. "She ran out to get something from her car and didn't come back until we hit a rush and I was too busy to ask her any other questions."
Walker shook his head. The theory forming in his head was a sad one. "You get that information for me?" he asked quietly.
"Yeah, but...you didn't get it from me, cowboy." She dug into her apron pocket and pulled out a paper coaster, folded in half.
"Thank you."
"You'll tell me when you figure her out, right? I'm invested now."
.
Walker chuckled and nodded as he tucked the coaster into his pocket. "Yes, ma'am."
"You want a beer?"
He shook his head as he stood. "Nah. I'ma head back to the office and look this up. I'll talk to you later."
"Well, I'm off at 7, so if you don't make it back here before then, I'll call you tomorrow."
Walker figured he could make it to the office and back, checking the Social Security Number quickly in what was sure to be an almost empty office, so he just nodded and left. Dodging janitorial staff and the odd Ranger, he made it back to his desk and input the number into the search.
'Ann Maria Salama
DOB: 04/19/1986
Deceased: 08/11/1988'
"Seems Y/n's a dead girl. Interesting." He checked his watch. "Geri gets off in ten minutes. Dead girl should be on by the time I get back."
The trip back to the bar was spent figuring out the best way to approach the woman about her use of an alias and a dead girl's social. He adjusted his hat and headed into the bar. She flinched at the sound of the door opening, then smiled brightly. "Hello, Ranger! Those bruises seem to be healing nicely."
Walker nodded as he moved to sit at the bar. "Yeah, I think I can thank you for that."
"Well, you're ever so welcome. Thought you might be upset at me for makin' you drink Shirley Temples all night."
"Not as upset as I am about you lying to me about your name," he said nonchalantly. Her eyes went wide and snapped to meet his. "And where you went to school and probably that story about your great great grandaddy coming into Angel Island, since 'Salama' is a name that belongs to a little girl who died of leukemia at two years old." Her jaw dropped and trembled, and he could see her body tense as she debated fleeing. "Now, don't run. Pretty sure neither of us want me to chase you."
"Ranger, I...please, let me-"
"You're gonna explain," he interrupted. He made his expression soft, putting as much empathy in his eyes as he could manage. "Because you've broken some heavy federal laws here and I get the feeling it's not because you wanted to."
She broke immediately, sobs wracking her body as she dropped her elbows to the bar top and buried her face in her hands. "Please, don’t take me in! I had to! I didn't have a choice. I had to get away!"
Every theory he had about why she was lying was confirmed in that last sentence. He reached out to put a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Hey, it's okay. I'm not gonna take you in...but I need to know everything."
She sniffled as she stood up, eyes red and lids puffy as she wiped tears from them. "Okay. I'll tell you."
Finally managed to see the series finale of Walker and I was pleasantly happy about it..
Awww.. Cordi made special breakfast for Auggie
Cordi and I never gonna look at blender same way again
So Cordell is here trying make up for the lost time and his family is still giving him shit?! Like, hello, give the man credits for trying at least. It's not like any of you have done something nice for him in a while, have ya?
The Cordell Stella scene was so sweet. Finally, Stella owning upto her shit.
'Cassie needs her people to surround her with love.' 'Cordell has his people'. I mean does he, though? Man's doing stuff for everyone else around him. Don't see anyone else lifting a finger to do something for him.
Cordell keeps Geri in dark to protect her. Geri gets mad. Cordell tries to explain the situation to Geri. Geri gets mads and shuts him down. He can't win with you, Geri, can he? Booooo Geri! -_-
Auggie getting accepted to every college he applied!
The interview shots were done nicely
August Edward Walker. 'Emily was a big Twilight fan.' Emily is Team Edward! Love you, Emily!!!
Cordi dancing by himself at the party. Oh baby!
Liam and his 'hello'
Also, Liam you really believe Governor called you from an unknown number? And you really think it is safe to jump in the car with no license plate that came out of nowhere a good idea? Kinda sus, don't you think?
Cordi trying to be the man he thinks Geri deserve. Well I don't see Geri retuning the favor. Boo Geri! -_-
Bonham knows what women want! Freaking boats!
Cute road trip! And man, does Cordi look absolutely gorgeous in gray shirt and black hat
There's always something going on with the Davidson's. Yea, I'm looking at you, you weirdo renting Davidson's place and dropping handmade soaps at Cordi's doorstep. Sus gift hamper if you ask me
I thought last night's episode, despite rolling my eyes at Geri and Stella and Sadie, was terrific. I especially loved the wedding and Cordell's interaction with August.
LOL! I feel ya! There were a few moments that weren't my favorite, but the rest of the episode made up for it.
My heart goes out to poor Auggie and his increasingly desperate attempts to be noticed. (I can't believe that his only reasons for joining the military were the ones he gave. Something tells me this may be another attempt (possibly subconscious) to be closer to his dad.
Bonus shout out to the running scene at the beginning! Something about sweaty guys... and seeing Cassie beat them all!
Cordi is freaking me out here
Is Stella trying to give me heart failure she's gonna get herself killed
Poor Liam between having to play mediator between his parents and his niece trying to get herself killed he's having a tough time
Poor Auggie though between his Dad and his big sister both pulling a stupid he's also having a bad time
Again my Nemo plushie is giving me massive puppy eyes (he gets plenty of cuddles)
Atleast Geri and Liam were told about Stella though not before she does something incredibly stupid
Cordell is worrying me too, especially since he disappears again in a couple of episodes after going on a "new mission".
Stella is definitely acting a lot like her father. I just hope the rest of the family can get to her in time.
Liam just wants his family to be happy ;-; He needs a break
I felt so bad for August this episode. He must really be in a bad place to actually voice is concerns about Stella and Cordell to another person. He doesn't do that often.
There's still a few more episodes. I think this necklace plotline is going to finish up 4x12 but I could be wrong since it seems like 4x11 is going to mostly be about the Jackal. It could all get wrapped up next week.
