Dynamic of gaster & player is crazy

A lot of the fandom being obsessed with theories on who he is and piecing together his lore, sinking their teeth into everything about him as breadcrumbs are set out for us to follow.

Years later(?) Gaster becomes obsessed in his experiments of being able to contact us and creating an entire story just to have the equivalent of an eldritch multidimensional being be put in a rat maze.

The player falling for it hook, line & sinker as they thirst for the same thing as Gaster does. Complete parallels to each other on opposite yet same sides. The methods of finding information being stark contrasts to each other.

Hands are Meant for Holding

Avoiding your ghost hunter parents in your own home after telling them you half killed yourself in their Ghost Portal wasn’t that easy for Danny Fenton.

Especially when you woke up at 8 AM on a Saturday morning to your sister screaming because you halfway phased yourself through your bed in the middle of the night. That was the third time that week.

“Jazz, can you stop screaming!?” Danny yelled, trying to get her to hear him. He needed to concentrate to phase out of his bed and her screaming wasn’t helping.

Jack barged into the room first, ecto-guns blazing, fearing the worst had happened to his kids. Upon seeing the scene, he gave a brief sigh of relief. No one was kidnapped, killed, or maimed, which was a plus in his book.

“Princess, it’s fine,” he said, trying to calm his daughter down. “It’s just a small… hiccup… with Danno’s powers.”

“Powers!?” She shrieked. “What do you mean he has powers!?”

“Aw, shucks, I forgot we didn’t tell you,” Jack said nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. “Everything’s alright, Princess. Danny just needs to concentrate to get out and he’ll be fine. We’ll tell you about his powers later.”

With the break from his sister’s screaming, Danny was able to focus enough in order to pull himself out of his bed. He tiredly blinked, rubbing his eyes. These power malfunctions weren’t helping him get sleep. Ever since the accident, he never felt fully rested and no one knew why.

“Jack, is everything alright!?” Maddie called from the kitchen.

“Yeah! Just another slip-up!” Jack replied. “Everything’s a-okay!”

“Then come down for breakfast or it’s going to get cold!”

“C’mon, kids!” Their father said excitedly with a grin. “Danny-boy, I’ve got an invention I want you to try!”

Jazz had to be coaxed out of his room, still shocked by the revelation that her brother had powers.

Danny, tangled in his sheets now that he was out of his bed, groaned. This was what he feared, his parents wanting to test inventions on him. First, it would be harmless stuff. Then, it’d go onto more painful inventions and blood draws—

He should leave now before they could get the drop on him, but could he even fly? He’d have to try before his mom—

“Danny! Come down for breakfast!”

His stomach growled. Maybe he could at least eat breakfast first. He could always say no to his dad, right?

With that, he sighed and got up. “Coming, mom!”

Making his way down the stairs, he smelled the sweet aroma of pancakes. He loved his mom’s pancakes, he’d miss them when he left. He entered the kitchen, rubbing his eyes again.

“Good morning, sweetie!” Maddie said sweetly, giving her son a kiss on the forehead. “Your dad told me about what happened earlier and we have just the thing to help you!”

“Listen, mom, I really don’t think-”

“Look here, Danno!” His dad cut in, holding—

Was that a fork and a knife?

What was he going to do with cutlery?

“These are made especially for you, son!” He said cheerfully. “Made with a special, non-harmful, anti-ghost metal that your mother and I made. They’re dishwasher safe and won’t go through your hands no matter what you try! There’s a spoon too, but you don’t really need that right now.”

Danny was frozen in place. He had been so wrong. His parents didn’t want to hurt him—at least not now, his brain supplied—they had just wanted to help him.

However long that lasted, he didn’t care. The fact that they wanted to help him with such a little problem pulled at his heartstrings—corestrings? He didn’t really know at this point. He’d probably ask his mother later.

He pulled his dad in for a hug, tears glistening in the corners of his eyes. “Thank you,” he whispered, overjoyed with the new invention. “I love you both so much.”

So,, CoreStrings!! (Coined by Harvey cause we didn't find another name). W.D Gaster x an amalgamation of any identity the "player" could possibly have. We've really only been referring to it as soul or player. We kinda just thought "Hey what if he went coocoo over the player?" And realized we were rewriting billford BUT PPFFFFF ITSS FIIINNNEEE

The insanity stemmed from Harvey asking me to draw them again, the scenario is whatever you want it to be!
