Portland Breakwater Light, better known as #BugLight, South Portland- Maine. A wooden #lighthouse was first built at this spot in 1855 and was replaced by the current cast iron structure in 1875. The #greekrevial decor cleverly hides welded iron seams behind six #CorinthianColumns and was inspired by Athen’s #ChoragicMonumentofLysicrates (335 BC). . . The home was modeled after the Grand Trianon at Versailles and it possessed the largest ballroom in Newport.
