It lay beneath the womb-blood of Tiamat, whose divine corpse was stretched into firmament. Her scream is what they call darkness.

The Spirit of “God” was not hovering. He was trespassing. It was not Yahweh alone—it was the Ruach Elohim, a breath from many mouths.

They feared what slept beneath the waters. Not just chaos—but memory. That’s why they hovered—never dared to touch.

They called it “formless,” but I remember it was alive. The serpents still writhed. The stars had not forgotten.

And I, silent then, carved the first rune into stone: “To create is to conquer. To divide is to rule.”

hey, remember being 18 years old and playing mass effect for the first time and it's got this like intense aura of being very small and very insignificant in a very big, very empty galaxy? remember playing mass effect for the first time and everything all of this is so new and mysterious, and it's 2am and you're sitting in a dark room in the light from your tv and you're playing through feros for the first time and you feel that this is someting very old and very ancient and you are somewhere you shouldn't be and you don't know what's going to happen or where you're going but you keep on. there's a tingling in your stomach and you're playing mass effect for the first time. the thorian is a milennia old sentient plant being. the rachni queen is old and telepathic and a hive mind and in pain. sovereign is an ancient machine that has not been built but is, and has always been, and this is something so alien and so unlike and beyond anything your human mind can comprehend, and this is something unexplainable and huge and as uncaring and indifferent as the empty galaxy around you. you're playing mass effect for the first time and you're walking on the surface of an almost completely empty planet with nothing but your two companions silently walking beside you and everything is so huge and empty and silent and you're so small and insignificant and it's so beautiful and so scary and you feel like you are on a rollercoaster about to drop down. you are playing mass effect for the first time and you're playing the mission on the moon and you stop and just look up at earth visible in the sky. you know this. this is home. you are playing mass effect for the first time, and the galaxy is so big, and you are so tiny, and everything is about to change for you.

finishing a thing that i wanted to finish earlier

i like how peko and fuyuhiko's island mode endings each fix their side of their relationship

Peko wants to stand with him as an equal like Fuyuhiko wants. Fuyuhiko no longer running from Peko maybe means that he'll be more clear about how he feels about their relationship (e.g. it's not that he doesn't want a tool, which is what Peko thinks is the problem, it's that he doesn't want Peko to be a tool). Either way, it might lead to Peko wondering if there's alternative ways of being by his side outside of being a tool (like we see in the ending above.) Either way, Peko is going to ask him out on a date.

Which will only result in good things down the line! Love, love!

(maybe? because soon after these endings they wake up from the NWP, and that concept is... kind of fascinating. I ramble in the tags about it)

ok brief and extremely vague fic ideas so that i have em compiled somewhere

random things:

gepard discovering the truth of cocolia through a mission from bronya to 'deal with' a group of 'rebels' who are trying to reveal the truth. sampo is there

while gepard is chasing sampo he makes contact with the fragmentum and it causes him to lose his memory and become distrustful and paranoid of everyone but sampo. sampo suffers

gepard and sampo visiting mikinaak the turtle planet (mini fic)

gepard wants to see the planet sampo comes from, sampo refuses to even talk bout it (mini fic) done!

someone hurts gepard, sampo reacts in a totally sane way and breaks their knees or something probably scrapped

sampo takes gepard to an oceanic planet and is very dramatically dismayed that gep doesnt know how to swim (mini fic)

gepard shouldnt be surprised that sampo is being more annoying with the stellaron gone and the underworld opened up again, but the fact sampo keeps showing up every day without pause is concerning done!!

gepard keeps finding weird, impossible things in his office

Sampo asking qlipoth if he can have qlipoth's emenator and qlipoth being like 'who the fuck is gepard'

What if the true Eldritch Horror is... normativity? Conformity? Regimentation? Dullness of mind and experience?

What if we could remember what "whelming" felt like, or when cars still needed to be quarzyk-tested? What if squirrels reminded us of those times, because even though they used to also come in some of the colors that are now missing, they're pretty much the same, otherwise?
