It's genuinely disturbing that people feel comfortable calling others "nazis" because they like characters in a way they don't find personally acceptable. Especially when they think that people calling them out are wrong because a post being "tagged properly" is apparently a free pass to say whatever (their post not even being tagged correctly is a perfect summation of their idiocy). The level of brain rot is unbelievable. People are acting like this over fictional characters because they're that desperate to "win" arguments in fandom. It is truly the mark of people who aren't intelligent enough to make an actual point. I suppose that's how they landed on the logic that blocking everyone who disagrees with them and preserving their echo chamber makes them correct.

@nothxkas: You know one of those pointer sticks that teachers use to point to things on a board/screen? I associate you with that. You can go on and on about topics that you're passionate about, like giving an intense lecture (but one I have to read). I don't always respond to the things you say but your mini essays have left such an impression on me.

@thoughtfullyrainynightmare: I associate you with a bookmark. Now I can't physically bookmark your work as I read it but I sorta digitally bookmark by keeping a reblog of your new chapters in my drafts so I remember to read them. I also associate you with knowledge and patience (it takes time to read a book and you take your time with people, don't you ever feel rushed). Also, bookmarks can be simple or fancy and you can either do sweet little oneshots or long, poetic tales of love and strife!

@simpingforthisonedeer: A desk. You are a researcher and a writer and an artist and all those things require desk space! Also, you're not afraid to get serious and put your foot down with people and it gives me the image of being sat across a desk from, like, the principal. You're stern but ultimately well-meaning.

@lyranova: A full tea set. Like CotF with its many families and mysteries, so too does a tea set also have multiple parts to it. Tea sets also make me think of sharing tea with friends. We're not exactly sharing tea when we chat, just next gen oc interaction ideas though.

@marune2: An inkwell. Old timey but gives a vibe of intelligence. Your main ocs (Heinrich and Ida) are intelligent. Also, I get the feeling that you're a fast reader which I tend to associate with intelligence (which probably isn't how intelligence actually works but I'm gonna roll with it). Also, most of your art is in black and white (but when you draw in color that art rocks so hard, seriously! 😍👏💖 I'll stop gushing like a fangirl, sorry./lh), so like black ink on white paper.

@faewraithsworld: A mirror. By sheer coincidence, our ocs and their arcs with their s/os parallel each other. But that's only one reason why I associate you with a mirror. The association also comes with the fact that mirrors can be polished to a shine and you have a bright, shiny personality! Also, mirrors are somewhat associated with beauty and I got the chance to hear your voice once and, well, I thought it was pretty in a welcoming and homey way.

@sailor-muno: A newer mutual so maybe tagging you will help break the ice some more but anyways, Bel, you are a journal. A journal to fill with notes and thoughts and maybe doodles. Full of potential for creativity. Also. Lots and lots and lots of words! You have so much to say, Bel! Also, paper. Ok this is cracking me up. I've had about 8 blazed posts on my dash of nothing more than "I love my kids" and "listen to my albums".

Twitter refugees are not understanding that using blaze does not make you viral. There is no such thing on Tumblr. People don't go viral on Tumblr through blazed posts. We color the sky, help @wereralph with whatever he's up to, and so on.

By all means, please boost Tumblrs because that's income, but don't expect anything to come from it except spite and getting blocked.

We love that you're here, but you have to play by our rules.

All right let's continue my original zelda story. Content warning for death and injury.

Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 (Other posts are tagged #cotf)

Today we get to the midpoint of the game. You know how the formula for Zelda is usually "in order to get The Big Thing, get These Smaller Things, then once you get that Big Thing (sometimes the Master Sword) then go get more Small Things for the second Big Thing" and then fight the final boss? Oversimplifying it but yeah. One more round of dungeons after this and then the final fight.

So after the first round of dungeons (And plenty of development!) we head to get the Master Sword for reasons yet undefined. Ganon sent a minion in the form of a giant snake to guard the sword and keep it out of the heroes' hands, so that's who they have to fight to get the sword.

OH this is irrelevant to the current events but I forgot to explain their group dynamics. Working idea is that Link is the main controllable character and the other two (Shei and Stella) swap out to solve puzzles/do certain actions/story stuff etc. Because it's really freaking difficult to play a game where an npc follows you around all the time, Link carries Stella in a backpack (like just as a bag of bones) and in combat situations (where id imagine npc following would be the most tense) Shei gets all magicky and starts glowing and floating. Kinda like Zelda in Age of Calamity.

.....Except, Shei doesn't have the best handle on his goddess powers, so he can't really control where he moves very well. In order to remedy this, Link has to lasso him and tow him around like the Triforce of Wisdom a balloon. Actually looking that over again it still seems kinda annoying so maybe that's an event specific thing instead of being present in every combat situation........hmm im rambling BUT the point is both Shei and Stella are present and active in fights.

SO back to the story they fight big evil snake and like close to the end SOMETHING happens (gonna shoot off ideas because im not sure what it should be yet) that gets Shei bitten by the evil snake. (Like. not the actual snake itself that one's huge like it splits into a bunch of smaller ones or spawns a bunch of little snakes) Some sort of event happens during the fight that should make that unavoidable but not feel like a punishment to the player, if that makes any sense? Like I don't want it to feel like you didn't beat the boss fast enough/well enough but I also don't want it to feel like it comes out of left field. I guess I want it to feel like it had to happen and there was nothing you could do?? (Like idk the floor gives out and trips Shei or at the end of one damage pattern it flies to the side and pins him down for a moment or something like that)

ANYWAY that was a lot of rambling obscuring a very important event SO-

You do manage to defeat the boss and reach the Master Sword, but just as Link pulls it Shei goes white and crumples (alternatively: gets a nosebleed), revealing the injury he sustained during the battle.

Impa, who accompanied them because she guided them to the Master Sword (Impa pops in and out of the action bc she has stuff to do elsewhere, also known as she shows up when its convenient), uses her Monocle of Truth (oh yeah I forgot to say she had that its like the lens of truth thats why shes wearing a monocle in the picrews) and determines that the venom of the snake is full of evil power and has no antidote.

They all panic. Shei doesn't want to die. He's not ready to accept any sort of future (throughout the story so far I want to imply that he's living in the present and doesn't like to think about what might happen in the future), especially not one where he dies.

✨Circumstances✨ come up that prevent them from leaving the area (monster resurgence, rubble blocking the exit, etc.), so they can't get help (still reworking those reasons). They can move him to a different clearing (this is a forest temple kind of place) where the sun is shining, the birds are singing, the wind is blowing, and it's all a contrast to what's happening.

Eventually they figure out all they can do is stay with him (😭 forgive me im still trying to give this moment the emotion it deserves and its Not Quite There yet so this is all you get sorry-). Remember this picture that I posted a while back? @acheronspride described it as cold, and that's exactly the vibe I'm going for.

So they sit around a tree and hold each other as the venom runs its course. It takes a long time (several hours) and during that time he gets increasingly dizzy/disoriented/sick/etc. (I wanted to avoid the "dying quickly but still has enough time to say important things" and "important things are said right before dying" tropes).

That's relevant because he does have something important to say. Remember the goddess-blood essence? If he dies as the last descendant of Hylia, her power and the legacy of every Princess Zelda will be lost forever. So he draws it out of himself, but he's not strong enough to hold onto it. The GBE splits into six pieces and scatters, and the piece of it that he DOES hold on to he bestows to Stella.

I think you can guess the reason for that! Sorry for cutting it off so soon, but I wanted to delay the next portion for later. Tell me what you think?

just like what is considered natural & what is considered unnatural & who gets to decide that? who determines what is human? what qualities are allowed to be considered acceptable? the whole idea of fighting against your body in an attempt at normalcy.. the idea of like discovering who & what you really are & allowing yourself to be that and accept it. the more I rotate it in my mind it's hard not to read a lot of things through a lens of like drawing parallels to neurodivergency at least for me personally. the ending especially imo. like I'd say mayhaps I'm projecting but then you think about [big spoiler iykyk] & there's definitely real world parallels to be drawn with that. & like darker ways to think about things from that perspective if you want to. much to think about many thoughts head full.

1 Year ago today, I completed my series "Children of the Future"!

It took a lot longer to finish than I thought it would, especially since I took a 6 month break for my mental health, but then I came back and was able to complete it and its been one of my favorite works I've done!

I decided to look at the view counts across all three platforms where it was posted, and the total number of reads is: 112,309!

That just...boggles my mind, especially since more people have read it/re-read it than there are words in the actual fic 😆! It's just amazing, and I'm glad that so many people have enjoyed it across many different platforms (I don't know how many people have read it on Tumblr since I can't see the view count, but I'm sure it's a lot of people 🥰!).

It was so much fun to write, even when I would get frustrated at the plot or characters, I still had a lot of fun! So much fun in fact that I still play around in the universe and still write and create things for it today and so do my mutuals (if you guys ever want to write a fic in the COTF universe or anything like that, please feel to ask/write it, just tag me in it so I can see because I love reading them 😁!)!

I just wanted to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of it's completion with you guys, and I guess if you guys want any trivia or have any questions about the series (even its prequel and spinoff) please feel free to ask, I always love answering your questions!

So according to the Dragon Demands  video about a leaker who told him info on prequels , for the scrapped BM prequel , its actually racist storyline which got it scrapped not just because the setting is unfeasably boring ( which it is as the leak outlined ) 

Goes to show no matter the diversity, sometimes people just cannot help it huh.
