This week’s sourdough bake: sesame whole wheat, rosemary olive oil, orange peel & chocolate, and pumpernickel. I also made a test loaf of a new formula for 100% rye which was a resounding success. 23 loaves total. There were supposed to to be 24 but I miscalculated, so no chocolate orange for me. Oh well. The fan that propels heat from my wood stove into my home is broken. Yesterday I pulled a muscle in my back, which makes it hard to move, and for some reason also seems to be causing a headache. Also, I dropped my laptop today and broke the screen. I need to backup my computer and take it to the shop. I need to go to the hardware store and buy a part. It all feels like too much at the moment, so for now I’m lying on my living room floor in multiple layers of clothing, surrounded by tools, writing to you to share this week’s bake, completed this morning.
