@inastarlesssky so, I tried to make you a little something about the "Twin theory". I didn't dig Internet (esp. Tumblr), I know there are things here, and other reasons for that theory than the ones I'll post here today. These ones are from a chat I had with a friend, I'm so sorry, I'm too tired to make something better.

As I said, I do believe in the "twins theory" in which Tina and Credence are twins, mostly because that would explaine the very deep connection she feels for him, and why she puts her job in jeopardy to help him. More than once.

Don't get me wrong. Tina has a very strong moral compass, but she's also a "rule sticker". I do believe she would help any person in difficulty (especially children, or "outcasts") but I'm not sure she would do THAT MUCH.

She broke the Statute of Secrecy for him, while she didn't for Queenie (Jacob is obliviated, and when he remembers she doesn't approve, even if he makes her sister happy). She OC didn't thought about it when she protected him, but... She did it anyway.

Same, she has been reinstated but she does it again in Paris. Whether it was an official mission or not is unclear (posters said "auror on foreign mission" but ITW said she went rogue to go to Paris), but what is certain is that she doesn't follow the order (again) about Credence.

(I also believe that one of the reasons for Queenie to join grindelwald in COG is to protect Credence)

Then, we have the predictions that I read like that:

A son cruelly banished (Credence)

Despair of the daughter (Queenie)

Return, great avenger

With wings from the water (Tina)

Tina has indeed a strong connection to birds : her house in Ilvermorny (Thunderbird), the MACUSA Phoenix, the owls her grand father used to breed when they were children, all the birds iconography we can see in the Goldstein appartment in FBAWTFT.

If Tina and Credence are twins, we could add the phoenix linked to the Dumbledore family (and I also have a theory about a lineage from Isolt Sayre, which would link her to crows too)

(Just to mention but the thunderbird is usually considered to be an equivalent for the phoenix -but not in FBAWTFT book)

To return to the prediction, Tina is also linked to lot of water symbolism, to begin with Fire in Dark Water.

(and the name Aberforth means "from the river" in gaelic)

In that theory, Tina's given name could be Aster (Esther) and follow the Dumbledores' "A rule".

And, of course, physically she is closer to Credence and Aberforth than she is to Queenie.

Same for her wand that looks like more Credence's or Aberforth than Queenie's.

I also believe that in the death pool the "black wave" wasn't supposed to happen, it was supposed to be a "peaceful death" but something went wrong and that wave represents something that haunts Tina, and that could be Credence's obscurus.

I know, it's one that isn't popular anymore, but I still like it.

So basically I got seduced by other fandoms and kinda fell out of FBAWTFT. Then Ezra started their bullshit and I got kinda turned off, and then JKR REALLY leaned into her terfy bullshit and totally turned me off.

It’s kind of difficult to write in the fandom when that kinda shit is going on—and at this point, it’s never going to get better or be apologized for. It’s hard to think about hypaethros and not think ick.

And then of course there’s the usual life bullshit in the way—I’ve actually written 90% of another matchablossom one shot and 60% of a sukufushi multi chap but I just don’t have the time as energy to dedicate to them no matter how much I want to!

Also I got into kpop and kinnporsche and lita. The fandom brain is working overtime in THE WRONG FANDOMS LOL.

(Another shameful part is it’s been so long!! Who’s still reading it? But you are lovely anon! So thank you for asking about it!)

That said, the FBAWTFT fandom was my first posted fic fandom and everyone was so lovely—I do really miss it and I do intend to finish it. The chapter is mostly finished, I just gotta get over the final hump.

Since it’s been so long and it’s so nice you reached out, here is a preview of the epilogue:

In the 10 years of marriage between Mr Credence and Mr Percival Graves, they can count on one hand the number of fights they've had:

When Percival sent Tina on a life-threatening mission, and then promptly sent himself after her.

When Credence got spectacularly drunk and told Seraphina to go fuck herself.

When Percival bought Credence something way too expensive without consulting him—and Credence returned it.

When Credence and Queenie joined a protest against Rappaport's Law, and ended up in jail, needing Percival and Tina to bail them out.

When Percival blew up the stove, tried to fix it himself, and ended up needing to go to the hospital.

What Credence and Percival can appreciate, however, is that playful little arguments have greatly outnumbered any sort of actual fights. And on this particular Monday morning, there's an incessant tapping against their bedroom window. Credence groans, and buries his face back into Percival's neck, ready for a playful argument.

"Credence, darling," Percival murmurs, running his fingers up Credence's arm.

"Percy, dearest," Credence murmurs in return.

"Sweetheart," Percival says, kissing Credence's neck.

"No," Credence laughs. "It's your damn bird."

The pigeon continues tapping furiously. Percival sighs, and heaves himself up out of bed and to the window. He takes the letter from the pigeon, who pecks at his fingers unhappily before it flutters off to roost on the rooftop. Percival getting old and needing glasses for reading. Credence thinks he looks hot. Percival is grumpy about it. He has a designated space in his office for them but they end up in all sorts of places that Credence has to remind him.

When Percival opens the letter in bed, Credence resituated across his lap, Credence can feel his husband stiffen for a second.

"What's wrong?" Credence asks instantly, leaning up on an elbow. "Percival?"

Percival merely blinks, and hands the letter over to Credence. Before Credence can read more than a word, his husband says, "My parents have passed."

it’s once again time for me to go feral in regards to credence and his gender expression and his interests which overlap traditional gender norms.   please note that everything in this headcanon comes from a continuation of fbawtft, completely disregarding cog.     i simply pretend that cog doesn’t exist for most credence headcanons.   

as a child, credence obviously wasn’t allowed to explore gender and more ‘feminine’ things in life. with his strict and abusive upbringing and childhood, there absolutely wasn’t any space for him to even question things he grew up understanding as facts.  softer materials were out of the question due to price and a belief rooted in solemn living. same for things such as makeup and jewellery. 

while he could consider items  pretty,  there wasn’t any space for him to vocalize these things. it’s important to realize that he was more a child soldier to his adoptive mother’s cause, than he was ever a child.  

the first time he touches fabrics such as silk and lace, he is immediately drawn to it due to their softness. when he’s placed in an environment where he is allowed and encouraged to see what he likes  /  where his interests are when he’s free from his abusive situation      ;       he will absolutely lean towards more traditional feminine activities and sensations.   

when it comes to gender, he will consider himself a cis male, but truth be told, he is more genderfluid and will lean more to  ‘feminine’  things than masculine because of comfort. he can and will develop an interest in makeup and cooking, when encouraged. his shame when it comes to these things is more linked to the fact that he is unused to being able to do these, than the idea that these are traditionally feminine activities.
