Spencer is the love of your life, you both had a deep connection among no other. He had known you inside and out. Spencer was your everything and you were his. You were both in school in Vegas and both had fell in love fairly quickly. Moving in together and you were the best versions of each other.
“Hey baby, I’m home!” Spencer shouted as he walked into the apartment. You were in the bathroom face drenched with tears. You were pregnant, and according to the ultrasound very pregnant. With you both in school and Spencer getting a job you could raise a child, you thought. You also knew he was waiting to hear back from the FBI.
Spencer talked about being a dad in the future all the time. It made you happy knowing you were the one he wanted to raise his children.
You quickly wiped your face and stuffed the test and ultrasound back into your bag. You opened the door to see a very smiley Spencer “I have great news, I got into the BAU!” he said excitedly “Well I more so had an interesting conversation with a man named Jason Gideon but still.” He ran to you hugging you. Your mind was completely scrambled.
“Oh my gosh, babe that’s so great! I’m so happy for you!” You said with a smile. You were genuinely happy for him. You knew where the FBI headquarters were, meaning you would have a transfer. You didn’t mind though if it meant starting a family with Spencer.
“Are you okay though? It looks like you’ve been crying” Spencer said with concern in his eyes.
“Spencer…I’m .. im pregnant.” You said in a whisper with a slight grin, and the blood drained from Spencer’s face.
“What? How?” He said in a blank tone. “I’m pregnant Spencer, one month exactly and you know how” rolling your eyes, He stared off, you were so nervous. It was silent for a few minutes before you spoke up.
“Spence say something.” You begged he turned towards you. “I’m sorry but .. I can’t have this baby with you, I just got into my dream job Y/N.” He said grabbing his keys and heading for the door.
You stood there completely in shock. You never thought he would react this way. You were willing to move with him. This was everything you wanted and he doesn’t want it. You started to quickly pack everything you could all the things that were important. You didn’t want to ruin his life and he made his choice.
Once you had a few bags packed you drove to a cousins house, somewhere Spencer couldn’t find you. Spencer broke your heart but you wanted this baby. You didn’t need him at all, you had your cousin. He didn’t deserve you and or your child.
He chose the job over your child. Spencer had been anything but a coward but he proved you wrong.
Spencer came home heartbroken and in tears. Noticing all your things were gone he couldn’t hold it together. All your books, the mug he gave you for your first anniversary, everything was gone. He blamed himself for you leaving.
He was ready to have the baby, he wanted to do everything with you. The job didn’t matter, he always wanted a family especially with you. He called you and your best friend and couldn’t get a hold of you. Spencer knew he fucked up big time.
Months later you were giving birth to your baby girl, Beatrix Marie. She was so healthy, she looked like a perfect mix of you and Spencer. You hated him even more now that she was here. Her perfect nose and eyes that are bound to be huge like Spencer’s. You can’t believe he didn’t want her, to raise her, and love her but he made his choice.
No matter how much you disliked Spencer Bea was every part of him. She was a curious baby and had such a goofy smile like him. Years later Bea was still such a sweetheart and it broke her heart when you moved her across the country.
“Mommy, why do we have to go to Virginia?” Bea said after as you both were watching Doctor Who, which was her favorite show even for a 6 year old.
You had to move to Virginia to finish school and your residency. The pay was decent so you worked at the bookstore which Bea loved. She would also get to see the Smithsonian which she ended up loving. The move was great, life was great, and Bea was amazing.
On her 7th birthday she asked to of course go to the Smithsonian Zoo and to her favorite book store to see her favorite Liberian. Bea was so smart, you didn’t want her to move up in school just yet, she enjoyed the grade she was in for right now. Spencer always lingered in the back of your head. You never knew if you were making the right decisions without him.
The Smithsonian was great, Bea squealed looking at the different animals. She had a love for books, sugar, and animals of course. The bookstore was your next stop, you didn’t even call to see if Ms. Willis, the old Liberian women that would read and watch Bea when you first got to Virginia was in today.
Bea ran off as soon as you hit the door. “Bea no running honey, and stop laughing so loud.” You said in a loud whisper. “Sorry mommy.” She giggled as she ran off. “Hey, Ty is Ms.Willis here? Bea wants her to read to her for her birthday.” Ty was the cashier and a sweetheart who would babysit Bea sometimes when you worked late.
“Yeah she’s in the back I’ll go get her!” Ty said walking to the back. You went to the section you knew Bea would be in. You faintly heard her laughing and smiled. That’s when you heard a man’s voice and your smile dropped. Thinking the worse you walked quickly to the voice and there he was.
Spencer Reid, with his legs folded reading to his daughter, your daughter. “Hey Bea, go up front with Ty and I’ll be right there.” You said looking at Bea and Spencer noticing how she looks more like him then ever before. “Butt mommy, he was just reading Charlotte’s Web from memory.” Bea whined, “Beatrix. Now” she quickly stood and walked off “Bye spencer” she said in a defeated tone.
“Bye Beatrix.” He smiled faintly, you knew how much this was hurting him. “Hey Y/N” he stood and was now standing in front of you. He was tall, he had a tab of weight on him but you liked it, with his perfect hair identical to Beatrixs.
“Hi Spencer. Don’t come anywhere near her again“ he cut you off “I’m so sorry I didn’t know what I was thinking. It was the biggest mistake of my life.… I’m sorry.” He said as you seen his eyes began to water.
“Spencer you downright told me you didn’t want her and now?” you had no words, you never thought you would see him again. You knew it was a possibility but you haven’t thought about it in so long.
“Beatrix Marie Reid, happy birthday to my favorite 7 year old!” Ms. Willis said loudly with a ballon and a book Bea been asking for. The look on Spencer’s face when he heard her full name. You still named her after him even after what he did.
“It’s her birthday today, Spencer I’m mad at you, I love you and you left me, you left us” You said quietly looking at him with tears forming in your eyes. Spencer wanted to be in Beas life, to read with her and take her to ice cream. He wanted you most of all, he was still madly in love with you.
“I’ll give you time to process but here’s my number and address so we can .. talk.” You passed him the note. You didn’t know why you gave it to him. Beatrix was a smart girl so she had questions about her dad.
“Why does Mariah have a dad but I don’t?” Bea asked while you both were eating breakfast. “You do have a dad baby .. you just don’t know him.” You wanted to be honest and open with Bea.
“Did he not want me?” She asked looking down with her hair falling in Her face. Spencer didn’t want Bea you knew that, you just hated seeing her like this.
“How about I’ll tell you the whole story when you’re a little older.” Pushing her brown curl behind her ear. She pushed her glasses off the bridge of her nose “I love you mommy.”
——-
Beatrix had an amazing birthday she enjoyed it so much. It was always time for her last birthday request which was any horror movie of her choosing. To no surprise she chose The nightmare before Christmas her absolute favorite movie.
Bea had just showered and but on her pjs waiting on the couch for the popcorn. As your putting the popcorn in the bowl the doorbell rang. “I’ll get it,” Bea hopped up fast knowing she wasn’t allowed to open the door. Making an exception this time cause her best friend was supposed to be coming over also.
She swung it open with you behind her quickly, “Spencer! How do you know where we live? Do you think you can read to me? After the movie please.” Bea rambled so fast you could barley understand.
“Of course only if it’s okay with your mom.” He smiled at her, even missing 7 years of her life he still looked at her with a love you never seen. “I’ll think about it B, go watch the movie.” Kissing her head and handing her the popcorn.
You and Spencer walked to the kitchen watching Bea from the island. The love was still there between you and Spencer.
“I won’t keep her away from you. She deserves to know you but you have to tell her why you left.” You said looking him dead in his eye.
“Okay. Let me explain to you wh—“ you interrupted “Spencer this is about you and Bea not you and me. You explain to her why you left. Now come on her favorite movie is on.” You said walking towards Bea as Spencer trailed behind.
They both talked through the entire movie. Bea asking every question and Spencer there with an answer. Bea laughed and laughed so much with him. 45 minutes later Beatrix was sleep. You quietly picked her up to walk her to her room with Spencer trailing behind.
You laid her down and tucked her in giving her one kiss on the forehead. Spencer watched the entire thing in awe of how amazing you were with her. He always knew you’d be the perfect mother.
As you walked out and turned out the light Bea whispered “Can spencer still read to me mommy?” In her sleepy voice. “Maybe next time B, Goodnight” you said walking out with Spencer in front of you.
Once you were in the living room the room fell silent. You both pick up the tv room and headed to the kitchen. “I want Beatrix to have the most normal upbringing I can give her.” You started catching his attention, “if you tell her there’s no backing down. You will not come in her life and leave her.” You said in a stern tone.
“I will never leave her or you again.” Spencer said knowing he meant it, he was ready for everything fatherhood had to offer.

“Thanks again, Spence,” you say, pressing another sweet kiss to his lips before tugging your coat off the hook and making for the front door. “Remember, Lila is allergic to kiwi. And her bedtime is 8, no exceptions. She has to go to daycare tomorrow morning.”
You had spent the morning holding Lila, playing with her and soaking up her laughter as much as you could. Spencer knew you had never really been apart from her—going to work was one thing, but there was a guilt that came with taking the day for yourself. He watches with a fond smile as you ramble through the list that you had already repeated to him twice and does his best to reassure you, nodding along despite having already memorized it.
Pre-made food in the fridge.
Medical information on the fridge in case of emergencies.
Call if she gets too fussy.
“Oh!” You say, halfway out the door before turning back to Spencer, a smile gracing your face. “And don’t let her convince you to give her sweets after dinner. She’ll ask you for fruit snacks, all cute, then she won’t sleep and it will be hell in the morning.”
“No fruit snacks after dinner, got it,” Spencer said, following your line of sight to Lila sitting on her plush rug in the living room, toys surrounding her as she played. Your face softened, affection swimming in your eyes and he could practically hear the thoughts going through your head. Tucking a strand of hair behind your ear, he gently guides your face back to meet his eyes.
“We’ll be fine,” he says, tone soft as your shoulders sag at the understanding behind his words. “You deserve to have a day with your friends. I think Lila can handle playing dolls with me for a few hours.”
His phrasing made you giggle, picturing Lila’s pouting face, wagging her little finger at Spencer when he takes something too literally, or doesn’t do it the way she wants. For some reason, Lila is never happy with the voices Spencer does, and after a year-and-a-half she still gets that same little pinched brow whenever Spencer holds a doll in his hand, high-pitched voice mimicking a princess’s until she yanks the toy out of his hand with a firm, yet cute, “No, ‘Penth.”
Without fail, hearing his name in her little voice makes his heart soar, pride filling his chest even if she’s scolding him, wagging her little finger as she says it. He’d always been hesitant at the idea of being a father, whenever he pictured his future that was always a blurry part, but now he couldn’t imagine not having you and Lila in his life.
Searching his face, you finally come to the conclusion that he’s being sincere and a bright smile covers your face. Spencer had come to terms a long time ago, far before the two of you were even dating, that he would do anything to make you smile. A sense of pride wells in his chest knowing that the smiles you give him are just for him, a special glint in your eyes every time.
Between work, and Lila, there was hardly any downtime to just relax. Your evenings were often spent wrangling Lila into bed, usually with Spencer if he’s not away for work. Spencer made it a point to be home in time to have dinner with both of you as much as he could, slowly getting involved in her night time routine. She was 6-months-old when you and Spencer began dating, and while it took some getting used to at first, Lila began reaching for Spencer with a giggle and a giddy squeeze soon enough.
When your friends suggested a girl’s spa-day, Spencer was quick to encourage you to go. Having a toddler made it hard to have a social life, especially when your friends weren’t moms themselves. Lila had warmed up quickly to Spencer, which was the biggest relief, and it was hard to find a reason to say no when Spencer offered to babysit.
“She’s gonna be my daughter,” Spencer said, a fond smile on his face as the two of you spoke conspiratorially in the kitchen. “I already think of her as mine, I’d be happy to watch her for the day.”
Your heart swelled hearing his words, and you couldn’t help but say yes when he put it like that. Spencer, you, and Lila being your own happy little family was all you could ever ask for, and it meant more than Spencer could ever know that he had been so welcoming and understanding. He was a dream.
With a final glance at Lila and a sigh, you’re pressing another unhurried kiss to Spencer’s lips, that same lil dazed smile on his face that he got after every kiss, even after nearly 2 years. “Thank you, Spence. I love you.”
“I love you too,” he replies, pressing another sweet kiss to your lips, then your cheek, then your forehead—you were gonna be gone all day, he had to get his fill while he could. “Now go before you miss your appointment.”
With a final kiss, Spencer watches as you walk down the front steps, drive away, waiting until he can't see your car anymore before he’s turning around and closing the door behind him. When he looks up, Lila is already looking at him, eyes glancing between the door and him before her small voice is heard over the cartoon playing on the tv.
“Mama?”
“Mama went to the store,” Spencer cooed, lowering himself down to sit on the floor in front of her and her array of toys. “She’s coming back, don’t worry.”
“Mama s’ore?” she whispered in her small voice, her wide eyes blinking slowly at him before her lip began to tremble. It broke his heart to see her eyes, which looked so much like yours, gloss over with tears.
“Oh, honey, it’s okay,” Spencer said, scooping her up in his arms. “She’s coming back for you. She’ll be here soon!”
With a sharp wail for her mom, the tears that had been welling up began falling in big drops, hands gripping tightly to the fabric of his shirt as she cried. Hurriedly, he began to bounce her in his arms, mimicking the way he had seen you do it countless times. He’s shushing her in a soft voice, whispering soothing words in the hopes that they’ll at least calm your crying.
Spencer wracks his brain, trying to sift through the information he had gleaned from the parenting books he had been reading for the past two years—he had started as soon as he came to the conclusion he would ask you out. Would showing her pictures of you work? He didn’t want to make things worse by making her miss you more, but maybe seeing your face would soothe her.
Transferring Lila to one hip, he fishes his phone from his pocket and opens the album of your photos, showing her various selfies, focusing on pictures he has of the two of you. After a couple of minutes her sobs quieted to sniffles and soon enough she was swiping through the pictures herself and giggling every time she saw your face.
With her swiping, it landed on a video, one he had taken of you reading a story to her before bed. At the time he had thought the voices you were using for the characters were so funny, hiding his own laughter behind his hand so that he could capture the sound of Lila’s giggles.
Spencer watches as she giggles along with herself, laughing at the way she reacts when you tickle her tummy. Spencer cant help the fond laugh the slips from his lips at the sight, bright grin tugging at his cheeks at your rosy smile.
When you arrive home that evening, only the kitchen light is on downstairs, the faint light from your bedroom guiding you as you softly push open the door. A warm smile paints your face as you slip your phone from your pocket, taking quite a few pictures of Lila, fast asleep atop Spencer’s chest, her favorite book lying next to his relaxed hand. His soft breaths rustle the hair at Lila’s scalp, her hand loosely gripping the edge of his sleeve as she sleeps.
Tip-toeing around the room, you shed your clothes from the day, slip on some pajamas before placing Spencer’s book on the nightstand. Slipping softly under the covers, you curl yourself around Spencer’s side, hand resting on Lila’s back as you fall asleep, comfortable with the people you love the most.

Matilda (Emily Prentiss x Reader)
"You can start a family who will always show you love"
Summary: In which Emily Prentiss comes home to her wife and daughter after a week-long case.
Warnings: None
Tumblr media
EMILY LET out a sigh of relief as she walked into her house and dropped her to-go bag. After a week-long case, all she wanted to do was curl up in bed with her wife. She made quick work of putting away her gun and credentials, trying to be quiet so she didn't wake anyone up.
She was in the kitchen filling up a glass of water when she heard soft footsteps walk into the kitchen.
"Mama!" Charlotte said as she ran over and wrapped her arms around Emily's leg. Emily smiled as she put the glass down and bent over to pick up the three-year-old.
"Hi sweet girl," Emily said as she kissed her daughter on the head, the smell of her shampoo already calming her senses. She smiled as she saw Charlotte's pink onesie, ever since the two of you bought it for her, she refused to wear anything else to bed.
"What are you doing out of bed?" Emily asked as she tickled the little girl's stomach. Charlotte giggled as she threw her small hands around her mother's neck.
"I'm thirsty." She said as she looked up at the raven-haired woman.
"Well, let's get you some water, and then you can go back to bed." Emily smiled as she opened another cabinet to grab a small plastic cup.
"I want apple juice." Charlotte pouted as she looked up at her mother.
She knows she shouldn't, but she could never say no to the perfected pout of her daughter. Emily knows it's because that pout is one hundred percent inherited from you.
"Don't tell Mommy, okay? It'll be our secret." Emily says as she holds out her pinky.
"Our secret!" Charlotte giggles as she wraps her pinky around Emily's. Emily adjusts the little girl to sit on her hip as she grabs the apple juice from the fridge and pours it into the light pink cup.
After Charlotte was done Emily left the cup on the sink to clean tomorrow.
She carried Charlotte upstairs and wasn't surprised when the toddler was starting to fall asleep in her arms. She smiled as she tucked her daughter into bed and gave her a quick kiss on the forehead before heading to her bedroom.
As soon as she walked in she saw your sleeping frame curled up against her pillow. She smiled as she immediately walked over to you and gently brushed some hair out of your face, not wanting to wake you but needing to feel the warmth of your skin. You unconsciously nuzzled your face into her hand. "I love you," She whispered, knowing that you were still asleep, but if she had learned anything from you, it was that she could never say those three words too many times.
She quickly changed out of her work clothes and into shorts and a sweatshirt before heading to the bathroom. When she came out a couple of minutes later she saw Charlotte curled up next to you with her small arm protectively on top of your five-month pregnant belly.
Emily's heart melted at the sight.
She never thought that this would be her life.
She never thought that love like this could come so easily.
That being loved was so easy.
"You're back." You murmured as you slowly sat up, carefully placing Charlotte's head onto the pillows without waking her up.
"I am." Emily smiled as she quickly got into bed and pulled you in for a soft kiss. Your lips tasted like home and Emily never wanted to leave.
"I missed you." You mumbled sleepily against her lips.
"I miss you too," Emily said as she rested her forehead against yours. "How's the little one?" She asked as she placed her hand softly onto your stomach.
"Good. She was hungry for a new combination this week though." You yawned and Emily raised her eyebrows. "Oh, she was?"
"Mhm. She insisted I eat tuna and peanut butter every day."
Emily wrinkled her nose at the thought, "Gross."
You just shrugged as you leaned your head against Emily's shoulder, "How was the case?" You asked quietly, knowing that Charlotte could sleep through anything but not wanting to take any chances.
"Let's just say I'm very happy to be back with my girls," Emily murmured as she rested her cheek on the top of your head. You knew this meant she didn't want to talk about it yet, so you didn't push. You remembered what it was like returning from a case, the heaviness in your heart making you want to do nothing but curl up with the people you love.
You still worked at the BAU, but after having Charlotte you decided you didn't want to be in the field anymore so you mostly worked on cold cases and consults over the phone.
"I love you." You said as you fought to keep your eyes open. You wanted to spend time with your wife after not seeing her for a week but your exhaustion was getting the better of you.
"I love you more." She smiled as she kissed the top of your head. "Why don't we go to sleep? We can talk more in the morning." Emily murmured and then immediately heard your soft snores from her shoulder.
Emily held back a laugh as she gently laid the both of you down on the bed. Your ability to fall asleep anywhere and anytime had surely been passed to Charlotte.
Emily buried her face into your neck as she lazily put her arms over your stomach. She never slept well without you, so as soon as she inhaled the scent of your body wash her eyes drifted closed.
●・○・●・○・●
Emily's eyes fluttered open to the feeling of small hands on her face.
"Mama." Charlotte's soft voice whispered.
"Mhm," Emily said sleepily as she rubbed her eyes and slowly sat up. The little girl immediately crawled into the brunette's lap and looked up at her excitedly. "Pancakes!"
Emily chuckled as she brushed wild hair off her daughter's forehead. "You want pancakes?"
"Yeah!"
Emily happily agreed, knowing that the two of them could surprise you with breakfast in bed since you were still fast asleep.
By the time they got downstairs, Charlotte was already chasing Sergio around the kitchen. The black cat had taken a long time to warm up to the little girl, but now he was at least tolerant of her antics.
Emily put on soft music as she got out all of the ingredients. She easily whipped together the batter in minutes and then went to find Charlotte so she could put in the chocolate chips.
"Char! It's chocolate chip time!" Emily called out as she walked into the living room.
As soon as she saw the two of them she couldn't help but laugh. "Very pretty, Serg," Emily said as she looked at the pink crown Charlotte had put on his head.
"He needs a dress!" Charlotte said excitedly as she bolted from the living to the playroom and came back with a pink, doll dress less than thirty seconds later.
"Why don't we play dress up after breakfast, okay?" Emily said as she scooped the little girl up, giving Sergio time to knock the tiara off with his paw and scamper upstairs.
"Okay," The toddler sighed dramatically, another thing that Emily claims is all you.
By the time they get into the kitchen, Charlotte has already forgotten about the dress and is squirming in Emily's arm to reach the chocolate chips.
"Remember, not too much," Emily says as she hands the bag to the little girl.
"Not too much," Charlotte repeats before dumping almost half the bag in.
"Well, it's a good thing you and your mommy love chocolate chips." Emily chuckled as she took the bag from her. Before she could put it away Charlotte stopped her, "Do the trick mama!" Charlotte says excitedly as she claps her hands.
The trick was just Emily seeing how many chocolate chips she could throw into her mouth but Charlotte was insistent that she do it every time they make pancakes.
"Okay, let's see if we can break the record, Char!" Emily smiled as she placed the toddler in her high chair next to the counter.
"Yeah!" She cheered. Emily's current record was 27 consecutive chocolate chips thrown into her mouth. It would have been more if they hadn't run out of them last time.
"Alright," Emily said as she grabbed one out of the bag and then tossed the chip high and easily caught it in her mouth.
"One!" The mother and daughter counted at the same time. The game went on for another three minutes, Charlotte had stopped counting at 20 but right when Emily threw the 27th one into the air, Sergio scurried passed Emily's leg causing her to fall backward and land right on her ass, missing the chocolate chip.
"Ow," Emily grumbled as shot a glare at the cat who looked smug as he ran away. The brunette could have sworn that was the cat's payback for letting her daughter dress him up.
"Mama hurt?" Charlotte asked as she looked down at Emily with sad eyes.
"I'm okay, sweet girl." Emily smiled as she ignored the crack in her knees as she stood up. "We'll beat our record next time, yeah?" She said as she gave her daughter a high five. "Yeah!" Charlotte giggled.
Thirty minutes later, all the pancakes were done and Emily had cut up some fruit and made you tea. She put everything on a tray as she and Charlotte walked up the stairs to surprise you.
"You want to wake up Mommy?" Emily asked and Charlotte nodded excitedly.
"Surprise!" Charlotte said as she ran through the room and jumped onto the bed, shaking your shoulders with her small hands.
"Mmm, good morning Char," You mumbled as you rubbed your eyes.
"We made breakfast!" She said excitedly as she pulled on your arm for you to sit up.
"Oh, you did?" You said as you looked over and saw your wife holding a tray with a big smile.
"Mama let me put in the chocolate chips!" Charlotte said as Emily gently placed the food onto the bed and then crawled next to you.
"Wow, they look good, Char! You and your mama are the best!" You said as you gave her a quick kiss on the head before turning to your wife.
"Thank you." You smiled, giving her a quick kiss on the lips before carefully pulling the tray onto your lap.
"Always," Emily said as she placed her chin on your shoulder. She watched lovingly as Charlotte burrowed into your side, stealing fruit from the tray as you cut the pancakes.
The three of you spent the rest of the morning in bed rewatching Charlotte's favorite movie for probably the fifteenth time. But neither you nor Emily would have had it any other way.

Misunderstanding- Spencer Reid x Mom!reader
Tumblr media
pairings; Spencer Reid X Mom!reader (ft Daughter!!OC)
summary: Being called to your daughters school and being told not to bring Spencer, it was the worst day ever.
content warnings; talks of child abuse
wc; 1.3k
[masterlist]
Your heart was pounding. Exploding, prodding, falling out of your chest. The phone called seemed … horrible. You were instructed not to call your husband and to come straight to the school. That was the first and biggest red flag of the call. Spencer was your guide throughout this life.
Having him by your side through the good, bad, and ugly was the norm. So, when the principal of Amaterdam Elementary told you to come alone it scared you. Immediately asking why and being told Tyler is safe and we just have to get a few things sorted out, you felt sick to your stomach.
Tyler Noel Reid was your first and currently only child with Spencer. An angel since she was in the womb. Surprising both you and Spencer because of how chaotic you both are. A mix of you both would or should have been hell but Tyler wasn’t that way.
Spencer was currently in Colorado for a case. Even when he was away it never really felt like it. Always calling to see Tyler and how her day was along with the rants he goes on about how he bothers Derek. You two were close even when he is miles away.
This killed you but you had to pull yourself together for your daughter. You walked into the school that had hallways filled with drawings and bright colors but still feeling so dark inside. What happened to our baby girl? You stuffed it all down as the principal approached you.
As you walked into the office you noticed the woman in a skirt and suit with a visitor pass.
Standing up to shake your hand, “Hi, I’m Shannon with child protective services.” She smiled as if this was normal. Shaking her hand with furrowed eyebrows completely confused why they are here.
You quickly noticed your daughter with her head hung so low it hurt you. She didn’t even move to look at you but you still kissed her forehead. Curls finally dry causing her hair to look a mess just like her dad. Checking on your daughter before anything
“Ty, what’s going on honey?” Asking and you moved her hair out the way. She was tall for a 10 year old almost taller than you. The most beautiful girl with eyes and a nose like her dad. Of course her very Spencer-like smile. The sweetest girl you could meet she was everything and more for you and Spencer.
“I’m sorry mommy” tears fell down her eyes,
“You have nothing to be sorry for Bug. I promise.” You looked her in the eye, almost crying, you were so scared for her. Looking at the principal as she began to talk,
“I know this is a lot so we can get straight to it. We’ve noticed a huge bruise on Tylers thigh and arm as if someone pushed her. The gym teacher did a follow up when she noticed she could barley move her arm today.”
This explains why she’s been so closed off lately. She was getting older so you both expected it. Always teaching and allowing her to set her own boundaries. As her mommy you’ll always see her as that little girl.
She paused looking at Tyler and then back at you.
“When asked She told us that her dad pushed her down. We had no choice but to call cps.”
Your first reaction was anger because Spencer would never do this. Besides the fact he never ever hits anyone who doesn’t deserve it never his baby girl.
Swallowing that down you immediately pulled her into a hug. You couldn’t choose obviously but Tyler always came first for you and Spencer. Thinking about your next move you quickly talked with cps and the principal with Tyler out of the room.
You knew this was bad but you didn’t want it handled this way. You told child protective services that it was all a misunderstanding, that her father didn’t mean to hurt her. You didn’t know if it was true or not but anything to get child protective services off your back.
You took Tyler home in silence, nothing but her soft whimpers in the back. Finally breaking the silence,
“Ty, do you want to talk about it? Without your dad?” You said softly, she nodded her head, you hurried home wanting to get to the bottom of this.
Spencer pushed our daughter
You arrived at the house and Tyler went to sit down on the couch as you followed behind. All you knew is that you wanted to support her however. Growing up with your fair of “whoopings” disguised as beatings, you didn’t want her to feel how you felt.
“Ty, tell me what your dad did so I can hel—-“
You were interrupted by Spencer walking through the door, not taking your eyes off of her. She tensed up which also scared you.
“Hey my beautiful girls, I got back early so I thought we get ice cream.” He rambled as he was walking in the house with his things. Lifting his head up and immediately noticing the two of you and Tylers tear stained face.
“What happened Bug?” He said approaching the couch to sit next to her.
“I got bruises from when you pushed me and now the school knows. Please don’t let them take me. Im so sorry.”
Now Spencer did push her and it was hard but not in the way the school or you thought. They were playing a game of little league football, made up by Tyler. Now, of course Spencer could win a football game with children he just maybe took it a little to serious while getting a touchdown. It sounds ridiculous but he is stronger than he thinks. The worst part was that Tyler didn’t say a peep, she just got hurt and said nothing about the bruises.
“Oh honey, I’m so sorry I didn’t know I pushed you that hard. Why didn’t you tell your mom or I you were hurt?”
Tyler wiped her tears and took a breath, “I know you told me to tell you when I’m hurt even on the inside but you never cry when you get hurt and I didn’t want to seem like a baby”
She told her dad honestly, and it was true Spencer never showed sadness around her.
“I cry alot Ty, and I don’t want you to hide when you’re hurt from me or your mom. We would never see your pain as a sign of weakness.” Pulling her into a hug as she cried harder.
You all went to the bathroom to examine the bruises and found the best way to heal them. After that you all got ready for bed. Spencer reading her a story tonight since he’s home. You waited in your shared bedroom for your husband.
“She’s finally asleep” he walked into your room and immediately into the bed and place a kiss on your cheek. You smiling in response still thinking about what happened today.
“You thought I hurt her on purpose didn’t you?” Breaking the awkward silence. Being a child who was hit and beat on just for being a kid it was hard to handle the situation.
“Truthfully, yes, you know how my childhood was, that little girl in me immediately believed you did it.”
You and Spencer never lied to each other partly because it was impossible to lie to him.
“But as your wife and the woman that loves you, I knew you would never hurt or harm her on purpose” moving in to snuggle him, you hated that this could possibly hand over your heads.
“I would never and will never hurt her, I’m sorry for even letting you thinking that.” He looked you in the eye as he talked as his tears fell. Wiping them off and placing a kiss on his lips as you both said I love yours and headed to sleep.

omg can you please write girldad aaron with reader if you can!! i know you would kill it
ty for ur request! mom!reader
You and Jack bring the groceries in as a team. He's been your best helper ever since you met, polite and chivalrous as his dad. And now that Dove is teething and loathes to go to the grocery store with you, it's just you and Jack.
That means Jack gets to pick what you eat for dinner most nights, and Aaron and Dove get a lot of one on one time they hadn't necessarily had before. Which isn't to say Aaron isn't as devoted as he can be, he is, he's the best dad in the world, but Dove had shown a lot of favouritism during her first year. Understandably, because Aaron continues to work his unpredictable, sometimes long-distance job, and so Dove had known you better. Truth be told, you sometimes keep Jack a little bit longer in the stores so they can have their time, and you can have yours.
"Thanks, handsome," you say, holding the door open so Jack can parade inside with a grocery bag occluding most of his vision.
"You're welcome. Dad, Dove, we're back!"
You hear Aaron's groaning laugh, his voice distant but distinct. "There's your brother," he says.
"And your mom," you say, not loud but enough for Aaron to amend his talking as he appears in the doorway.
Dove pulled against his chest, hair ruffled, he says, "And mommy. Wow, did she get prettier?"
You could roll your eyes at him. He's flirting in such a bold way that you could write it off, but he's nothing if not genuine. He never lies to you, never fluffs anything up. You know he means it, and that makes you flustered enough to avoid his gaze and follow Jack into the kitchen.
Dove mumbles something.
"She did," Aaron says agreeably.
Jack's already tipped the groceries out on the table and opened the refrigerator to start putting things away. Your helper, your favourite boy. You pet the top of his head as you pass and slide your own bags onto the countertop.
Aaron comes up behind you. "Was it," — he kisses your cheek — "okay?"
"The store?" you ask softly, pleased when he presses another kiss on top of the first, his free arm wrapping around your waist. "It was perfect. We got everything, didn't we, Jack?"
"Everything and extra."
Your turn, you kiss the top of Dove's small head and beam when she gets shy. You kiss her a couple more times for good measure until her dad starts grumbling, and you have to give him one too.
"Wait, for fairness," you say, wriggling out of his hold to track down your baby. You bend over Jack where he's putting veggies away in the veggie drawer and stroke the hair back from his forehead and kiss his temple.
"This family is so kissy," he says, sounding neither mad nor happy about it.
"This family is so kissable," you correct lightly. "If you don't want one, just tell me. I'll keep them all for you sister."
He tips his head back. "I think dad has her covered."
You turn to see what he's talking about. Dove and Aaron have fallen into their own world. He's pulled up high on his chest and she's giving it large, hands at his neck and little face wormed under his jaw. You think she's kissing him.
"Oh, thank you," he coos, hand covering the entire breadth of her back, "thank you, sweetheart. I love you."
So casually intimate. You find yourself hugging Jack with a terrible, goofy smile on your face as they cuddle. Dove lifts her head and touches Aaron's mouth, tiny fingers poking at his cupid's bow. He smiles at her. It's the softest smile you've ever seen.
"Wrapped around her finger," you whisper to Jack.
Aaron hears you, meeting your eyes over Dove's head. "Isn't it like that with all of you?"
He's right. There's never been a man more whipped for his love, or more dedicated to raising happy, healthy kids.
You shrug at him and turn back to Jack, who probably doesn't want to be hugged anymore but hasn't said otherwise, the two of you chilled by the cold fridge. "I don't know what he's talking about."
Jack giggles. "Me neither."
"Don't team up on me."
"You've already made your team," you say.
You finish putting the groceries away and thank Jack for his helpfulness with a genuine proclamation and three cookies of his choosing from the cookie jar.
"Three," Aaron says.
"You gave Dove two pudding cups yesterday. Don't act like you didn't. If you can spoil her, I can spoil him."
He beams at you and you beam at him.
"The second was an accident," he admits, turning Dove to face you. "She was giving me that look-"
"That look-"
"With the teary eyes."
"Yuh-huh," you say.
One arm between her legs, the other over her chest like a seatbelt, he and Dove both look at you with fondness, blinking at the same time.
She always looks so, so small in his arms.
"We're really good at this," you say.
He doesn't have to ask what you mean. "I know."
Dove squirms in his arms and he tucks her up tight in the crook of his neck, anticipating a teething tantrum. He's done a lot of things with his hands, you know, not all of them gentle, but he holds Dove with unending love and care.
"Alright, honey," he murmurs into her crown. "You're alright."
With Aaron as her dad, you don't have any doubts.

You held onto your bump as you walked towards the scene. The team was the last to arrive, SWAT and the local PD already on the scene. This was your last case before you went to maternity leave and technically you were supposed to be on desk duty and stay with Garcia. But with it being in DC, Hotch brought Garcia with the rest of them, and in turn Garcia wanted to bring you because she didn’t want to leave you alone.
Practically waddling onto the scene, standing slightly behind Hotch while holding your bump because your vest stopped fitting months ago.
Feeling helpless in your situation, you went to sit by the tents where the radio had been set up, being the only communication that came through the building.
“Is there any communication coming through?” You asked one of the local agents.
“You with the BAU?” You nodded, letting them continue. “He’s asking for your agents.”
You looked back at the team seeing them all engrossed in their tasks, before turning back to the agent, “Call, I’ll talk.”
“Yes, this is SSA L/n.” You said professionally.
“Yes, this is SSA L/n.” You said professionally.
“Yes, this is SSA L/n.” You said professionally.
“Y/n.” You felt shivers go down your spine, chilled that he knew your name, he must have known the whole team. “Finally pop yet.”
Your eyes widened, your arm wrapping around your bump, who was this man and how did he know about you.
“I’ve heard you’ve been asking for an agent.” You ignored his question, staying on topic, hoping to get him out.
“You let one of your agents in, I let out the kids.” His command was clear, hanging up before you even got the chance to answer.
There were no words for you to say, shocked, you knew that no one could go in, there wasn’t a line of communication and you knew that you’d have to drop your gun when you got in, and there wasn’t a direct shot from the outside.
Hotch would be furious if he heard that you’d talk to the unsub on the phone but once hearing the gunshot from the inside, you couldn’t wait any longer.
While the rest of the team tried to find a way to look in, you were able to find a vest that was big enough to go around your bump, one of the agents giving you an earpiece so you could give the go signal to come in.
You ran as quickly as you could towards the scene, passing the rest of the team who didn’t notice, until they heard the sounds of other officers.
“L/n!” Hotch yelled, starting to run after you, the rest of the team looking what was right in front of them. “Y/n, stop!”
Morgan was quick enough to grab his unit chief, pulling him back before going in. “Hotch, Hotch!”
Aaron couldn’t breathe, seeing you go into the building, not understanding why you went in without saying anything.
“You can’t go in after her.”
“The b-baby.” He muttered.
Hotch never really talked about the pregnancy to the team much, they all knew you were pregnant with his baby, but the two of you weren’t together. Throughout your pregnancy, Hotch continued to treat you the same but once your bump started to grow, he became more protective and the whole team saw.
He felt helpless in the situation, all he could do was just stand by and wait for something to know that you were alright. Turning, he made his way towards the comm station.
“Is there anything?”
“The unsub called, he told SSA L/n that either her or one of your team members would have to go in so he would release the hostages.” They explained.
Hotch closed his eyes, taking a deep breath, letting it out and opening his eyes back up. “Does she have a line of communication?”
“She has an earpiece to let us know when it’s clear to come in.”
“Thank you.” He nodded before walking back to the team.
“The hostages should come out any minute now.” He said. “The unsub wanted a trade.”
“One of us for them.” Spencer whispered.
“Why didn’t she tell us?” Garcia whispered, “One of you would have gone in.”
“I don’t know babygirl, but it's done.”
Hotch didn’t know how long he had been waiting, the kids should have been out by now.
“Agent Hotchner!” Hotch turned, seeing an agent coming towards him with one of the phones, “it’s the unsub, he’s asking for you.”
“Hotchner.” Hotch’s voice was deep, raw, he was angry at this point. “Where are the children?”
“Oh, don’t be impatient Aaron.” The unsub laughed, “Must you ruin a good time, we’re having so much fun aren’t we Y/n.”
“Aaron!” You sounded winded.
“Y/n, are you-” Hotch didn’t finish his sentence.
“Ah, ah ah.” The unsub cackled. “Agent L/n is busy at the moment.”
“Don’t you dare touch her.” Since the pregnancy, you learned that Hotch was possessive of not only the baby but you. Any night where you weren’t on a case, he’d be at your apartment and out in different states, he’d always share a room with you.
The two of you danced around your feelings for years, everyone knew that. Everyone had their bets on when one of you would finally confess your love for each other. He doted towards you during the pregnancy, getting up in the middle night to go to your apartment because you called wanting food at 3am.
It was clear as day the two of you were going to be wonderful parents and the team was happy that the two of you happy with each other.
“The children should be out any minute.” Once again, the unsub hung up before Hotch could get another word in. The team surrounded the perimeter waiting for them while Hotch stormed towards the Comm station.
“Where is the line that directs to L/n.” He was heaving, he needed to hear your voice, to make sure you were okay.
“Y/n.” He spoke into the microphone.
“Aaron.” You whispered, he could barely hear it and wasn’t expecting you to answer. He sighed, relief filling him.
“Hi sweetheart.” He whispered, smiling. “I know I should be mad at you but I’m happy you're okay. I need to listen to me sweetheart, you need to give me the word for us to move in, once those children are out, I can’t keep you in there, I need you, okay.”
He didn't hear anything for you, keeping the microphone in his hand, turning back to see the children coming out of the building into the hands of the team.
Hotch was practically glaring at the microphone just waiting to hear your voice.
“Now!” You said in the microphone.
“Move in!” He yelled towards SWAT and the team, running in with them.
Hotch practically jumped up the stairs, searching every floor briefly before going up to the next.
“Robert Handson, stay right there!” He shouted, seeing the unsub starting to make his way towards you.
You were pushed against the wall, your vest and gun thrown across the floor, your hands protecting your bump.
“Agent Hotchner, come to save your damsel.” He stalked towards you, pulling you against his chest, pressing the gun to your temple.
You whimpered, closing your eyes, tears streaming down your cheeks.
“Put the gun down.” Hotch tried to keep his voice as clear as possible not wanting the unsub to hear how scared he was.
“Why should I?” He smirked, pressing it further into your head. You were practically sobbing at this point, trying to fight your way out of his touch.
You knew this couldn’t be where it ended, you opened your eyes to see Aaron looking at the both of you, his eyes glassy, trying not to cry.
Coming to your senses, you kicked your foot between his legs, making him flinch and let go of you, letting you run so Aaron could take the shot. Once clearing that the unsub was down, Aaron made his way to you.
Letting his emotions take a hold of him, his hands held the sides of your face as his lips pressed against yours. You sighed, wrapping your arms around his waist, pulling him closer towards you. Pushing away, you rested your forehead against his.
“Never.” He whispered, tears running down his face too, “Never do that again.”
“I don’t think I can promise that.” You whispered, smiling. Aaron smiled with you, going to kiss you again, softly.
You smiled into the kiss, before breaking away. “As much as I dreamed of this happening, maybe we move this somewhere else.”
Aaron smiled, wrapping an arm around your waist, helping you back outside.
Joining the rest of the team, each saying their worries, giving you hugs of relief. As you hugged Garcia while she practically lectured you about going in, your eyes widened, pulling away from her.
“What’s wrong?” She looked at you.
“I think my water broke.” You looked down at your gray pants, seeing a dark line starting to trickle down your pant leg.
“Oh my god!” She exclaimed, gaining the attention of the rest of the team. “Oh my god, she’s going into labor!”
The ride to the hospital was eventual, Garcia and Hotch arguing over who should ride in the ambulance with you, Morgan taking Garcia away letting Hotch stay with you.
“You ready sweetheart?” Hotch asked, holding onto your hand as you felt your contractions.
“Yea-ahhhhhh!” You screamed as another contraction started. “No.”
“It’s alright, we’re almost there.”
“I want drugs.” You cried, “I can’t do this.”
Aaron just smiled, pressing a kiss to your hand, squeezing it reassuringly.
Finally coming to the hospital, you were put into a bed and rolled into the delivery room, luckily all the doctors and nurses were present when the two of you came in and the morphine was given to you.
“Alright, Mrs. Hotchner, let’s get this baby.” You were so out of it that you didn’t correct it and Aaron was stunned just to hear the doctor call you Mrs. Hotchner.
“Okay, just one more big push.” It was a relief to you, hearing you just needed to push once more. Aaron was nothing but supportive, holding onto your hand the entire time, wiping away the sweat that was dripping down your face, whispering sweet nothing in your ear.
“There we go!” The doctor smiled, lifting the baby up to your eyes, “Congratulations it’s a girl.”
The two of you cried in happiness, hearing her little cries, you finally closed your eyes, leaning back on the bed.
“You did amazing.” Aaron smiled, moving the hair away from your eyes. Aaron kept an eye on you and the babe as she was cleaned and finally brought over to the two of you.
“Here we go mom.” The nurse handed her into your arms.
You could cry about how beautiful and small she was. Though just being born, you could already tell she took many of Hotch’s features.
“She looks like you.” You looked up at him.
“Hi baby.” You softly rubbed her cheek with the pad of your thumb. That seemed to wake her, her eyes opening, blinking rapidly before settling.
“Oh my, Aaron, look at her eyes.” Aaron leaned down to look at his daughter, seeing her eyes, one brown, the other hazel.
“She has heterochromia.” He said in awe. Lifting her up to Hotch, he softly took her out of your arms.
“My sweet girl.” You couldn’t look away from them, seeing the bond that was already being created.
“Do we have a name for your special girl?” The nurse asked.
“Isabella Hotchner.” You said softly, looking up at Hotch, “Izzy.”
The nurses and doctors stepped out of the room letting the three of you settle before letting any visitors come in.
You all ended up falling asleep before the team came in. Isabella was in the bassinet while you scooted over to have Hotch in the bed with you. It was a tight fit but you were adamant with sleeping with him.
JJ was the first to walk in, the rest of the coming in, seeing the two of you. JJ swooned at the scene, seeing sleeping Isabella and you and Aaron cuddling together.
He was still in his dress shirt and slacks, but his arms were wrapped against your back, letting your head rest on your chest while the blanket covered the two of you.
Everyone just set down their flowers and balloons, leaving the phone, just before Garcia was able to snag a photo of the three of you.
Rossi smiled at the two of you together, remembering the nights that Aaron stayed late talking about you to him. Setting down his flowers, he dimmed the lights and closed the door, leaving your family together.

Emily: What am I most afraid of? Hmm, let's see...
Reid: Global warming. And getting a ‘B’.
Rossi: The phone ringing in the middle of the night.
Hotch: I'm too much of a perfectionist.
Rossi: Aaron, this isn't a job interview.
Hotch: Oh, man. Job interviews.
Morgan: Nothing.
Reid: Yeah, right. What about the pigeons?
Morgan: No, I don't like them. They're shifty.
Will: Losing JJ.
JJ: Aww. Hotel bedspreads.
Will:
Penelope: Never getting my driver's license. Or getting one but the picture sucks.
Emily: Dying alone.

Hotch, watching Spencer and Emily from his office window: Dave...DAVE!
Rossi, bursting in: What?!
Hotch: It's Prentiss and Reid...
Rossi, also looking at Spencer and Emily: Are they...bonding?
Hotch: Yes. You know what this means, don't you?
Rossi, nodding: They've both gone off the deep end. It's time to call the asylum.
Hotch: What? No. I was gonna say take a photo of this very rare moment. What is wrong with you??

Nah but Spencer being an magician and it being such an prominent part of his character through the show makes me sick. I know that it's because MGG does magic as well, but at the context of Spencer being an super-genious that doesn't really believe on anything that can't be factual and stuff the way he just sees an kid and goes full "see me pull this coin put of literally thin air :0" and it's so important to me cause even tho he is a Scientist™ Spence just loves to spread joy and wonder
