Volo watching the rain from inside the Solaceon Ruins. I like how there's no music playing and you can just hear the white noise, It's really relaxing.

Ya’ll ever get an idea that will not leave your head?
An AU where Anya - using research from the Nimbasa Library archives- helps INTERPOL in finding where Ingo is, and ends up the “agent” sent back in time to go find him and bring him home. Given period appropriate attire and allowed to take just herself, Daniel, and one of her pokemon in a pokeball (She chose her hatterene, Irene) - she has to trek from a “temporal safe area” all the way to the Highlands and back with him, as quickly as she can manage
A lot can happen between The Crimson Mirelands and the Coronet Highlands
Here’s hoping its nothing too taxing
(Hint: it gets very taxing)
Emmet is left in charge of Drew, lol

Hisui Lore: Crimson Mirelands 01
Tumblr media
image / texture
Granitehide Acre
One of Hisui's south-easterly zones, the Crimson Mirelands consists mainly of the sprawling wetlands that give it one part of its name. The other half is pulled from the depths of the Scarlet Bog, a place that one might argue is the mire's most iconic natural landmark aside from Ursaluna's Sludge Plateau.
With its murky waters a dark shade of red not unlike blood that just as viscously clings to all it touches, there is a chilling gravity that lingers over the area. Certainly, this atmosphere is amplified by a phenomenon that has gripped the land since long before the Pearl and Diamond clans' ancestors arrived in Hisui; the pilgrimage of moribund rhydon and rhyhorn to the Granitehide Acre.
Although it is difficult to find healthy members of the rhydon evolution line within the Scarlet Bog itself, on the western edge of its rubescent waters where it looks to Gapejaw Bog, there is an area where the great armored beasts seem intrinsically drawn to when they sense their passing is near. This is a favored area for scavenger pokemon, who do quick work processing what they can of the bodies, leaving behind large slabs of tough hide that cannot be digested. Those armored remains stick up out of the muck like gravestones, or else sink down past the waterline in crimson slumber. It is considered to be inviting bad luck if you disturb these remnants, with one exception.
The practice of warfare has all but died out in Hisui between the Diamond and Pearl clans with the coming of the most recent generation and Dousewood Treaty, though this peace is as of yet tenuous.
In its harsher past, members of the Diamond Clan who chose the path of the warrior would go to the Granitehide Acre and be given a brief allotment of time choose a single piece of tough hide that would then be dried and fashioned into either a shield or become part of a set of armor.
How much red had soaked into the hide from the bog was considered a point of pride, as it meant that one had to dig deeper in a short span to find that particular piece. This would fade with time and exposure to the elements, but a deeply dyed fresh granitehide was a sign of determination and decisiveness. In more recent times, the practice is more ornamental in nature.
The Crimson Mirelands have a wealth to share and teach, but one should always remember to tread carefully where the water is red.

Fine, if there’s no champion screen, I’ll make my own.
I chose my type for Pokemon Legends: Arceus last (well, second to last, but we'll get to that), so all the starter types were already used. So I chose Normal, with three Hisuian standouts in Wyrdeer, Ursaluna, and Zoroark, plus a couple Sinnoh faves and good ol’ Snorlax.

Enamorus, attempt 1
I actually like Enamorus in concept. A legendary that will eventually be lost to time. A vengeful spring god of love (and possibly the original source of conflict betwenen Landorus and the others).
But her design drives me nuts.
This is just my fist attempt to make her look like she’s actually a part of the Forces of Nature

Warden Ingo in the triplets AU always stopping briefly in the Wayward Wood whenever he goes by to watch the Psyduck. They remind him of someone, but he can’t remember who...
Meanwhile, if it’s Warden Cyan, he literally cannot pass through the Wayward Woods without one or two Psyduck following him. He only has the one shiny one that’s his Psyduck, but just assume at all times there are at least two more toddling behind him. It does a lot to disarm the stoic impression he gives off with his eternal :I face.

Do you miss anything about your past Sakaki? It doesn’t even have to be the big things, you could miss modern conveniences

Sakaki: I’ve been relying on combee wax for the most part. Usually it does the job well enough but the lingering scent of honey tends to attract Teddiursas…and Ursarings.

ok fun fact about the most recent chapter of history offers; while a lot of the story so far was planned out pretty far in advance, chapter 12 was almost entirely made up on the fly. like I came up with the sleep-curse thing as I was writing it. i hadn't originally planned for the drifloon to show up again; that was mostly a very nice coincidence that drifloons are one of very few pokemon in legends arceus that learn hypnosis at a lower level and can be encountered in the obsidian fieldlands. I also briefly considered having rei going AWOL for a shorter amount of time, and getting hypnosis'd by Wyrdeer BEFORE going back to jubilife. I just ended up deciding that reintroducing the drifloon would work out better, plus I just thought rei having a personal service balloon that helps them sleep would be fun
