i've never seen a french uni with "dorms" the american college way (not saying they Don't Exist, just that i cannot think of one like at all), we do have publicly owned student housing that's managed by the regional centers for students (CROUS). they're in high demand + they are off the market Fucking Fast and at the time i would have been putting in an application for one there was still so much #Uncertainty i wasn't even sure i could get one. so i didn't. i'm not mad because i had plans to get my own place from the beginning anyways. i just re-started my search a bit late and got scared. APPRECIATE THE PRAYER i fw the smell of church incense in a cultural way i do

Gay Movie "Mates" by Arno Crous

My Review on Letterboxd : "Super low budget gay movie, basic direction and sometimes some technical issues. That said it was kinda cute. It's very naive and funny at the same time and low cost aspect brings some charm.

If you don't worry watching that kind of very very indie movie and you love coming out / coming of age stories, this one is a sweet one. It has some awkward / weird moments and dialogues but it's charming in a certain way... and kinda refreshing in its way to talk about masculinity (which appears to be more fluid than what you would think)."

my only critique of naruto fanfics (and superhero fanfics in general like bnha,mcu,dcu, the list goes on im sure. but this is mostly in regards to naruto) is that some people use the word "civilian" to describe normal people too often and it just doesnt click right in context to the world building most of the time,

"civilian" seems too much like military-speak that holds context of real life when referring to noncombatants in war and conflict, which rings false since ninjas are part of a mercenary-run-city-state where they only function as a formal military only in times of conflict between other countries

ninjas at heart are mercenaries and wouldn't have the same linguistics as real-life-military because they have two different primary roles in society
