it remains extremely funny to me that freddie wong accidentally (?) made Dan Fucks, embodiment of pleasure, so distinctly ace-coded. like, Dan talks a big game about sex and seems to view it as interesting and desirable, but when presented with such an obvious in for it he completely ignored Avaricci's come-ons to just talk about non-sexual pleasures like goddamn cold pillows. he's not paying attention to sex at all when it's not personally convenient or expected of him to do so.

100% Elias is ace and just doesn't realize people genuinely crave sex and it's not a metaphor or exaggeration like it is for him yet. bless him.

This one was sold as part of the Graham Geddes collection at Bonham’s auction house in 2008 for £2,040.

They describe it as ‘three fish including a wrasse with dorsal spines, an angler-fish, the rounded body with multiple black dots, two large round eyes with pupils, an open mouth with teeth bared, and a ray with pointed face, the body with multiple black dots’.

Which like… bold fucking move missing out the fact that they have legs. Though I can’t say I envy whoever had to write the description.

I am briefly interrupting my break to report that I got the Menzoberranzan boxed set today! And it's full of all kinds of absolutely amazing goodies I can't wait to show off.

So many amazing poster-maps, lots of artwork, and tons of lore to read through.

My absolute favorite thing that I've seen so far is THIS little gem, though:

Drew like a dark fucked up band to be Piers’ rival music group. They’re all combative dysfunctional idiots who are constantly fighting though so they don’t have any actual music recorded on account of an attempted murder occurring any time they’re in the same room. I got into circuit bending in an unconventional way. I learned how to build guitar pedals to help me in my electrical engineering studies. theres fuzz pedal kits you can buy online that are great for beginners. Then modding my Casio Sk-1 came after. but if you just wanna start circuit bending, i see a lot of people buy old musical childrens toys, open them up, and just start probing around with alligator clips to see what makes them tick!

This video should tell you most of what you need to know. Youll have to learn about basic electrical components and soldering but the rest is just experimentation and creativity

Do you have a self-insert OC? I have to admit when I was younger most of my oc were self-inserts, although I didn't really realize it at that time. Later newer OCs all had different personalities and came from different ways of life but I guess my first few were pretty much the same person and more or less based on me.

I don't even know. But maybe? Very probably so?

When I do original non-fanfic stories then yes, I work to make sure the main character is not just me in a trenchcoat, but with OC fics? I don't care tbh.

I only last night answered an ask about which OC is the most like me and I said that probably all of them have a bit of me in them - and why not?

Why would I make an OC for sth if not because I wanted to insert (a part of) myself into that world that I love so much?

And tbh I feel like it's like that for a lot of people and the peak in ppl being like "ugh Mary Sue... yikes self-insert much?" in the past IDK decade or so is one of the reasons that a lot of OC creators I've met have started to write xreader stories - because cutting out the "middle man"/OC is less cringe somehow?

But I personally don't care. At all.

Do what you like in a way that you love. Make your OCs shameless self-inserts. Make them raging Mary Sues. Why limit yourself? Because some people might not like that? Not your target audience then 😘
