for some context: Natasha tracked down Bucky in Siberia, but when she find him her doubts are confirmed: he was infected too by their mysterious enemy, the one who had their blood stolen. Bucky has reversed to the Winter Soldier “mode” in a kind of survivalistic instinct, to protect himself in his moment of weakness, and don’t recognizes her. They fight, but then Nat breaks his state and they go back to the retreat Bucky settled for himself before. He is still very sick, weak and can’t keep on his own feet (Nat has been sick like this before herself, so she knows what’s coming), he fall briefly asleep then starts screaming and having hallucinations of things from his past (we discover Bucky was tortured by Hydra and even that once the Soldier snapped, escaped the Red Room, and the Widows were sent to capture him and bring him back - Nat wasn’t among them btw -), and Natasha tries to calm him down.

(the last part breaks my heart for real. help)
