The way she has her hands in her pockets and swings like she’s nervous and vulnerable, the way she puts her hand out when she says, “H” in that awkward pose I’ve never seen her do (because it’s fake), the way she keeps giggling like she can’t stop that she said, “H,” (even if she really had said it accidentally, it’s not funny at all, she’s just trying to sound young and innocent)…all of it.Anyway, but the irony of it all is that her and Harry are SO angry that they don’t have William and Catherine’s perks and cushy life as they perceive it (they are too rude, lazy, and dumb to see how much work is actually done by William and Catherine) BUT the only reason anyone even cares what Harry says is because he IS the spare to a brother that will be the king of a 1000-year old monarchy. If William were going to be the king of a small monarchy or a small country or one that wasn’t so wealthy or one that wasn’t so powerful (e.g. had no Commonwealth countries, etc.) then no one would care as much what Harry had to say. The irony is the only reason anyone is allowing this idiotic, insipid interview, and the documentary that it was a part of, is precisely for the reason that Harry and Meghan are burning with jealousy. Because the BRF is not just A monarchy, it’s the oldest and most successful (economic and otherwise) monarchy, despite all the flak it has gotten. So, since Harry and Meghan are connected to it, people want to hear what they have to say. And the only thing they have had to say, especially as time goes on, is hatred about the very monarchy that they need. Every time I think of Harry’s sullen face saying, “And what good would that do?” to Andersen I feel a visceral reaction. Compañía de Turismo impulsa el turismo interno con la feria ‘Voy turisteando’

El Paseo de la Princesa se convertirá este próximo fin de semana en un propulsor vibrante de todo lo que Puerto Rico tiene para ofrecer con la gran Feria Voy Turisteando.

La Compañía de Turismo de Puerto Rico (CTPR)  ofrecerá al público un menú cultural variado este sábado, 27 y domingo, 28 de octubre, que contará con pabellones representativos de las distintas regiones turísticas, hoteles, paradores y bed and breakfasts’ y operadores turísticos. De igual forma, tendrán degustaciones de comidas y bebidas, rifas de estadías en la Isla y bonos de descuentos, entre otras sorpresas.

La directora ejecutiva de la CTPR, Carla Campos, dio a conocer los detalles de esta iniciativa puesta en marcha por la entidad que busca promover el turismo interno y dar a conocer los trabajos de fortalecimiento de los servicios que ofrece Puerto Rico al turista, tanto local como extranjero, e impulsar el desarrollo económico en todas las regiones.

“Con la celebración (de) la Feria Voy Turisteando estamos decididos a presentarle a todos por qué Puerto Rico es la mejor vacación. Nuestra Isla cuenta con un invaluable encanto que solo se pueden disfrutar viviendo la experiencia que ofrecen los festivales de pueblo, delicias gastronómicas, música, la riqueza de nuestra historia y la alegría que nos caracteriza”, expresó Campos en un comunicado de prensa.

En la Feria Voy Turisteando habrá entretenimiento para todos los gustos:

talleres de bomba y plena

pabellones de regiones turísticas y la recreación de los atractivos de los municipios, información, sorteos y descuentos de hospederías, paradores y excursiones, entre otros

pabellón gastronómico en el que se ofrecerán clases de confección de platos puertorriqueños y además contará con el Grupo Isabela Tiene Sabor

la recreación del Carnaval de Ponce, que está cumpliendo cerca de 160 años de existencia, según datos que narran su historia  

directamente desde Loíza, un taller de cómo confeccionar turbantes

un pabellón dedicado a los niños, con presentación de magos, narración de cuentos, show de títeres, entre otras actividades

una pared de roca de 13 pies para escalar, traído por el Albergue Olímpico de Salinas

En cuanto a la oferta musical, Campos destacó que el evento contará con la presentación de El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico el sábado, 27 de octubre. El domingo, 28 amenizarán la Tuna de Cayey y luego la Orquesta Filarmónica de Puerto Rico. Mientras, durante el día, tanto sábado como domingo, habrá música de trovadores, grupos de bailes, desfiles musicales, entre otros.

“El compromiso del Gobernador Ricardo Rosselló ha sido potenciar la economía del visitante para convertirla en motor del desarrollo económico de Puerto Rico. La Feria Voy Turisteando presenta una oportunidad para que nuestra gente conozca los encantos de este terruño, planifique sus próximas vacaciones, y que nos convirtamos todos en embajadores del turismo puertorriqueño”, añadió la titular del CTPR.

El acceso a feria es gratis. No obstante, la Compañía de Turismo  insta a quienes quieran colaborar donando comida para mascotas (gatos y perros), a que la depositen en el centro de acopio que estará ubicado en el Paseo La Princesa. Esto, como parte de un esfuerzo de la CTPR para apoyar a entidades sin fines de lucro y rescatistas que voluntariamente alimentan y cuidan a miles de animales en necesidad alrededor de toda la Isla.

Aparte de los estacionamientos del Viejo San Juan, estarán disponibles los del edificio de Hacienda y otro aledaño, frente a Bahía Urbana. También estará abierto para el público el estacionamiento Luis A. Ferré del Paseo Covadonga, en el lado sur del Capitolio.

En cuanto a la seguridad, la policía estatal y la policía municipal trabajarán en conjunto, reforzando la seguridad privada adicional provista por la Compañía de Turismo.

“Le extendemos una invitación a todas las familias puertorriqueñas a que nos acompañen durante esta gran celebración cultural dentro de un evento completamente gratis, de interés para toda la familia y donde estamos seguros se van a divertir y descubrir muchos encantos que nuestra Isla tiene para ofrecer y que la convierten en la mejor vacación para todos”, concluyó Campos.

centraltexaspigrescue: FACT FRIDAY!!! It's time to talk again about Breeder Specific Terms (those sneaky half-truths that breeders use to get you to buy their pigs)!

SIZE: "Same size as a medium dog/cocker spaniel/bulldog." "No taller than 14/16 inches." Pigs are very dense animals and breeders won't highlight this. Franklin weighs 110lbs, double the weight of a typical bulldog but his dimensions are roughly the same. A healthy adult mini pig will typically weigh 80-250lbs. Comparing dogs to pigs is like comparing apples to oranges.

DIET: "When kept to/fed my correct diet." "When given my special diet." These "diets" are starvation, not a special formula that only the breeder knows. There is NO such thing as a “micro/teacup” pig, they are starving pigs. They might stay smaller but they will have lasting impacts on their health and typically die quite young. No healthy adult pig is 35lbs, if you have a size limit a pig is not the right pet for you.

"ADOPTION": This pops up on a lot of breeder websites to make buyers feel good about buying their product. Any pig bred to be sold is a product and is in no way, shape or form an "adoption." It's just a trick to make you feel like you are saving a pig; a pig that was bred and born to make money for the breeder and provide them with an income. It's sugar coating the situation to entice buyers.

“MINI PIG”: while “micro/teacup/nano” pigs are just not real, “mini pig” is a real classification of pigs. However, a mini pig is simply a pig that weighs less than 400lbs. These are not 12, 25 or 60lbs or a special breed of pigs. The “mini” simply means a pig that is smaller than a 600-1,200 farm pig. It is also prudent to be wary of anyone who doesn’t let you come to their property, says that pigs don’t need to see a vet or should only see their recommend vet, or who sell pigs under 10lbs and less 8 weeks old.
