I started this game in late 2020 and rage gave up on it with little progress made.  This October 2022 I went back and managed to beat N Tropy, Oxide AND Velo in the time trials ^_^ very happy with my progress as this game is really difficult and hurts my hands to play because there’s so many buttons to press. The Oxide sketch with the t-shirt joke is just a silly sketch after I beat Velo, I play as Oxide a lot and the original joke was going to say “lousy decal” but I don’t think the decal itself is bad I just think it’s a lousy reward for what you have to do lol :P Also the first image is a joke because it’s how I feel when I win anything in this game lmao it also is just very Oxide energy. Like cheering and celebrating when I unlocked the ability to race N Tropy on Oxide station - and cheering and celebrating when I beat an easy dev after like 400 ish attempts. This game makes me feel both empowered and pathetic and the same time I’m not continuing the dev times I’m too tired now lmao but still

Now that I'm finally playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe along with the Booster Course Pass, I believe how it was handled combined with the Mario Kart Tour mobile game was essentially Nintendo's way to take back the crown after Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled took sometime towards the end of 2019. Both games are essentially remakes/ports of pre-existing kart racers with waves of free DLC tracks and characters. The costumes in Tour have the same vibe of the skins in Nitro-Fueled, giving extra bonuses when the player uses a specific character, skin, or vehicle part.

A totally legit and real crash bandicoot timeline Under the cut is just where I explain certain things about the timeline.

Most games happen in order as expected, only thing that changes really is that the gba games & nitro kart have to happen after Wrath of Cortex & Twinsanity just because of the fact n trance references XL & N trance shows up in nitro kart. Also the fact WOC & Twinsanity happen one after another.

The weird squiggly lines just mean either questionably canon or a soft reboot happened in Titans & Mutants case.

Ctr is most likely canon in the crash 4 timeline, oxide showing up not knowing n Tropy or the fact the others not mentioning they know oxide & crash 4 taking place directly after crash 3, means it just happens in the future eventually. Maybe it’s the last game in the timeline now who knows!

Crash Team Rumble most likely isn’t canon due to the fact they’re all playing a game for fun and not trying to kill each other, also cortex is currently at the end of the universe. But if Catbat shows up in any future mainline games it’ll just mean their backstory is canon and that’s it. Plus anymore new characters will also probably follow that path.

Boom Bang is most likely canon it’s just never referenced ever so it’s questionably canon, but it most likely happened.

Titans & Mutants in my head is in a different timeline/dimension but most of the previous games happened. Instead of making a new timeline just for titans & mutants I just put it at the end because it makes the most sense.

Crash 4 takes place after the first 3 games obviously, but in crash 4’s case the n sane trilogy happened since the first cutscene shows up during the ending. With WOC, the first 3 ps1 games plus the two spin off games happened.

Platinum #4 Crash Team Racing

So fun fact about all these Crash games I'm currently playing: I have no nostalgic ties to any of them. Absolutely none. These remakes have been my introduction to lovable orange RAT and are the only reason why I've become such a big fan of the series in the first place. Also I'd like to say growing up with Mario Kart and only playing Nintendo's titular kart racer since the N64 days I am shocked that CTR is leaps and bounds better than any of the plumber's forays into the racing world and yet no one talks about it. WHY DO MORE PEOPLE NOT PLAY THIS GAME????? The technical aspect of actually requiring finesse and skill with drift boosting and U-turning is so much more satisfying and fun to master, though I'm starting to deviate a bit here from the topic of trophies because even those mechanics couldn't save me from the dreadful pain going for the platinum would cause me.

I don't know why I thought this would be any different than the N. Sane trilogy when it came to soul draining trophies because it's not like it's any easier... no, it's actually far WORSE. For one there are a multitude of multiplayer trophies that are always a total slog to get through. They included using every item (both the regular and super version which boils down to RNG), blocking specific items with a TNT crate, playing and winning every game mode, you get the idea it takes a while because of the aforementioned RNG. I ended up having to play two characters simultaneously in order to snag them all in a timely manner.

Then I had to play the game's story mode on hard difficulty and holy shid these CPUs are DEMONS. They are insanely fast and will obliterate you with 10 thousand items. I was struggling to win the first race because of how aggressive they were. I think I spent an hour just getting acclimated to all of the controls before I could start beating them regularly. The high skill ceiling required for hard mode made going for every CTR token within each level a total nightmare as well. Oh yeah that reminds me, you gotta play each stage SO. MANY. TIMES. This is because you have to beat the CPUs on hard mode, then do the race again collecting all the CTR tokens AND getting first place, then again for the time relic (thankfully sapphire is enough), beating all the cups for each colored gem, THEN EVERY OG CTR AND NITRO FUELED LEVELS FOR THE TIME TRIALS AND AT MINIMUM TWO MORE TIMES IN ORDER TO BEAT N TROPY'S TIME AND OXIDE TIME. Which is total BS by the way. If you accidentally beat one of N. Tropy's times and you don't have one of their ghosts selected it doesn't count. You will have to at MINIMUM do each time trial race three times which again is complete crap. And let me tell you some of these Oxide times are brutal when you're new to the game. Tiny Temple requires you to maintain blue flame for the last two laps, Deep Sea Diving requires your timing to be PERFECT in order to dodge a copious amount of giant fans that you won't see coming because of how fast you're going, Oxide Station for having so many sharp turns and many more cruel races. Dare I even mention the Crystal Challenges at this point? I think you're starting to get the point.

This was much harder than the N. Sane trilogy so I think it's time I take a break from Crash because I know the 4th game is the most brutal completion in the series. Make no mistake though this game is feckin' amazing and so much fun to play casually, but it's platinum trophy will drive you crazy.

Get your pedal to the metal across a series of tracks that feature iconic spots within the game series, each notably not similar to the following. You'll have to navigate manifold hazards and obstacles and cause mayhem amongst the contenders by utilizing a hearty toolbox of energy-boosting items. Pocketing ten yummy wumpa fruit as you speed round circuits can also boost your velocity and increase the effectiveness of your armory. With the many power-ups available and counter-options that make races feel constantly new and unpredictable, eliminating the monotony and making sure your more competitive streak remains very well intact throughout.

The racing experience is silky smooth and unquestionably fun. Effortlessly, a retro-style management scheme can be a good option for the extra authentic CTR feeling. keeping "X" for acceleration is quite the throwback by itself. Any type of infamous intrusion like falling off the track only to restart at a different section ahead, or jumping through the ground to skip entire segments disappear as you'd probably imagine. Apart from that, almost all tracks are flawless replicas of the originals with so much human life added to the background. Polar Pass includes the polar bear DJ, complete with dancing penguins, The Papu's Pyramid shows a boater attempting to climb a waterfall, and Mystery Caves displays pterodactyls floating in the magma. Things that the majority of people won't additionally see mainly because they zoom through have an incredible amount of depth. This essentially was not available together with the unique because of technological boundaries.

This is an excellent career from Beenox, given it seriously feels like enjoying the initial again. CTR's acoustic always has been excellent generally, but it's not great. Although the Sonic and Mario franchises are indeed known for their timeless tunes, this has not been the scenario for Crash and which doesn't transform with Nitro-Fueled. The accuracy of the tunes is very much better than just before and the voice acting on the game's storyline is more advanced than also the brand-new Team Sonic Racing, but it's not as great to play as other Kart Racers. Weapon blasts are quite enjoyable in this game and have more impact than they were in the first launch - making it a far more satisfying playthrough using a decent pair of headphones as you'll be able to hear where your opponents are arriving from much better than just using your speakers. Best place to buy cheap games.

Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled is pretty good at what it's trying to do. The remade journey mode is very fun without the hassle required to have funds to open up things and the experience of playing has been refined. This makes for the most enjoyable Crash racing video game to date and is yet another top-of-the-line kart racing game. The category is as large as it has been in the last 20 years and includes Sonic, Mario, and Crash all competing in stores additionally, the ideal aspect for the players is the fact that you are unable to get it wrong with any of these. Crash provides a great game in general and is an experience I'd rank above Team Sonic Racing, but just a little ahead of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Here you can buy cheap games, from all categories whether we are talking about action adventure, racing, sports, strategy, or shooters.
