An Update to the Kissing Multiverse!

The first version is here, second version here, third version here. There is also a little bonus stat crunching here. My tag for this project is here.

Well, Only Friends and Dangerous Romance are over, so I am back with another GMMTV Kissing Multiverse update for you all. And boy howdy it is a doozy. We've added 16 shows, 19 actors, and 33 unique kissing pairs!

Rules

Must have visible lip to lip contact

Must be shown on screen in a GMM tv series (no kisses from ads, promotional content, trailers*, movies, etc.)

*please note this means none of the GMMTV 2024 trailers count

Results and Discussion

Unique vs. Repeat Kissing Pairs

Last time round we learned that the vast majority of GMMTV kissing pairs are one-offs and that mixed gender pairs were less likely to repeat. Those conclusions hold true for this update.

There are 169 "unique" kissing pairs in the dataset, and of those, 156 (92.3%) appear only once, in one show. 13 pairs (7.7%) appear at least twice.

The 13 pairs that appear in more than one show are:

Book/Force (in A Boss and a Babe, Enchante, and Only Friends)

Bright/Win (in 2gether and Still 2gether)

Dunk/Joong (in Hidden Agenda and Star in My Mind)

Earth/Mix (in A Tale of Thousand Stars, Cupid's Last Wish, and Moonlight Chicken)

Fiat/June (in The Gifted and The War of Flowers)

Film/Gun (in Not Me and Three Gentlebros)

First/Khaotung (in The Eclipse and Only Friends)

Gun/Off (in Not Me, Puppy Honey, Puppy Honey 2, and Theory of Love)

Lee/Mook (in My Dear Loser and The Jungle)

Louis/Neo (in The Eclipse and Fish Upon The Sky)

Marc Natarit/Pawin (in Dangerous Romance and My Gear Your Gown)

New/Tay (in Dark Blue Kiss and Kiss Me Again)

Phuwin/Pond (in Fish Upon the Sky and Never Let Me Go)

The kissing pair that has appeared in the most shows is Gun/Off, with 4 shows out as of now (and 2 more in the works!).

10 out of 13 of these repeating pairs (77%) are same gender pairs, specifically BL branded or brand-adjacent pairs. Once again, an interesting look into the GMMTV het vs BL system.

All in all, 97% of mixed gender pairs and 85% of same gender pairs appear only once, in one show.

Same Gender vs. Mixed Gender Kissing Pairs

Of the 169 "unique" kissing pairs, roughly 60% are mixed gender pairs and roughly 39% are same gender pairs. This ratio has shifted slightly from the last update (when it was 59% mixed gender and 41% same gender) as I have added more het shows to the sample.

Now to look at the shows themselves: 35% of the shows had only same gender kissing pairs, 47% of the shows had only mixed gender kissing pairs, and 18% of the shows featured both. You will notice that this is a 8% increase in favour of "mixed gender kissing only" shows compared to the last update which is due to the number of het shows I added this update.

Most Kissing Pairs Per Show

The average number of kissing pairs per show is 2.4.

The shows with the most different kissing pairs are:

Only Friends (16 different pairs)

The Warp Effect (15 different pairs)

Friendzone (11 different pairs)

The Jungle and U-Prince (9 different pairs each)

The Player (7 different pairs)

Not Me, Three Gentlebros, and 3 Will Be Free have 4 different kissing pairs each, and then all other shows have 3 or fewer kissing pairs each.

Welcome Only Friends to the top of the ranking! 🎉 A well deserved placing. I would like to take a moment to hone in on the distribution of kissing over the course of the series:

We hit 9 kissing pairs in ep. 9, 10 pairs in ep. 10, 11 pairs in ep. 11, and 12(+) pairs in ep. 12. Very satisfying.

The Power of Jojo

Jojo, every series:

You get a kiss and you get a kiss! YOU ALL GET KISSES!

As we've learned over these past updates, Jojo has an outsized impact on the number of kissing pairs. He has directed roughly 10% of the shows in this sample, but his shows account for nearly a third of all kissing pairs (32%). Half of Jojo's shows are in the top 6 for most kissing pairs per show (Only Friends, The Warp Effect, Friendzone, and The Player).

The average number of kissing pairs in a Jojo show is 7.4, compared to 1.8 for non-Jojo shows.

Interesting to note: last update, the average number of kissing pairs per show for Jojo shows was 6.0 (1.4 lower) and the average for non-Jojo shows was the same (1.8). Only Friends had quite the impact.

(note: in this section, I am just looking at kissing pair iterations here not at unique kissing pairs, e.g., Phuwin/Pond are a pair in two shows (once in a Jojo show and once in a non-Jojo show), so they are counted twice.)

Most Kissing Partners

First, to put this in context: 50.4% of the actors in this sample have only had one kissing partner. The average number of kissing partners per actor is 2.6 (an increase of 0.3 from last update - again, possibly due to Only Friends).

We've had some significant changes in the leader board this update. Previously, our top 5 were Joss (10 kissing partners), Lee and Namtan (9 each), and Ohm and Nanon (7 each).

Welcome our new leader, Lee, with 12 kissing partners!

Krist takes the second spot (11 different kissing partners), followed by Joss (10), Namtan (9) and First (8) to round out our top five.

Next we have Gigie, Mild, Nanon, New, Off, and Ohm with 7 different kissing partners each; Film, Mond, Mook, Neo, and Singto with 6 kissing partners each; and Bright, Fluke Pusit, Jan, Khaotung, and Mark Pakin with 5 kissing partners each. There are also eleven actors with 4 different partners, and fifteen actors with 3 different partners each.

This update sees an astonishing 6 new kissing partners for Krist and 3 for First, catapulting them into the top 5. The impact of Only Friends can't be denied either - it increased every one of its actors' total kissing partners, and pushed Mond, Neo, Khaotung, and Mark Pakin up into the upper echelons, along with First, of course.

Most Kissing Partners in One Show

We have a new reigning champion for "Most Kissing Partners in One Show"! Thanks to his tireless hard work in Only Friends kissing 5 different people, Neo rockets to the top of the list.

We now have seven people who have kissed 4 different people in one show thanks to Only Friends (First, Mark Pakin, and Mond in Only Friends; Fluke Pusit, Gigie, and New in The Warp Effect; and Plustor in Friendzone), and eight cases of people kissing 3 different people in one show (Book, Force, and Khaotung in Only Friends; Joss and Namtan in The Player; Joss again in 3 Will Be Free; Krist in The Jungle; and Singto in Friendzone).

Please note that all of these instances (except for Krist in The Jungle) happened in Jojo shows.

In total, there are 52 instances of people kissing more than one person in a show, and 31% of actors in the sample have kissed more than one person in a show at least once.

Which of the GMMTV boys has kissed the most guys?

Last update we had a five-way tie for first place between First, Fluke Pusit, Neo, Plustor, and Singto, with 4 men kissed each. Only Friends has significantly changed the situation.

Congratulations to First for taking first place in the men kissing men category, with 7 men kissed! Next we have Neo in second place (6 men kissed) and Khaotung in third (5 men kissed).

First has kissed Gawin (Not Me), Force (Only Friends), Khaotung (The Eclipse and Only Friends), Mark Pakin (Only Friends), Mix (Moonlight Chicken), Mond (Only Friends), and Ohm (The Shipper)

Neo has kissed Drake (Only Friends), Force (Only Friends), Louis (The Eclipse and FUTS), Mark Pakin (Only Friends), Mond (Only Friends), and Title (Only Friends)

Khaotung has kissed Book (Only Friends), First (The Eclipse and Only Friends), Mond (Only Friends), Pawin (55:15 Never Too Late), and Pod (Tonhon Chonlatee)

There are now seven men who have kissed 4 men each: Fluke Pusit, Krist, Mark Pakin, Mond, New, Plustor, and Singto. Special shoutout to Mark Pakin, Mond, and Plustor for racking up all these kisses over the course of one show each (Only Friends, Only Friends, and Friendzone respectively).

Finally, there are eight men who have kissed 3 men each, and eleven who have kissed two men each.

Cupid's Last Wish Episodes 9-10 - Watch It Or Drop It Challenge

I may have lost braincells watching these last two episodes, the characters certainly lost plenty.

Korn immediately goes in for a misunderstanding fueling hug with Lin, excellent. You can practically see Win's heart shattering.

Win not being awake to see Korn show him the same tenderness regardless of which body he's in....

True to form, Win will annoy Korn into eating a meal with him (and by that I mean Win eats as Korn watches him with heart eyes).

God the mum is annoying I just can't like her, I'm sorry.

A random aside but where are Aunty and Uncle?

For a mum who prides herself in being able to see how her daughter supposedly feels, she sure is completely blind to anything her son might be going through.

WHAT THE FUCK LIN?

Look Korn, I know you don't want to lie because you technically did "take advantage" of Lin's body while Win was in it BUT IT IS NOT HELPING AND WIN IS GETTING ALL THE WRONG MESSAGES. THIS IS NOT THE DECLARATION OF FEELINGS YOU THINK IT IS.

I guess we're getting engaged then.

Wait how did we get here?

Oh it was a time skip. I am not enjoying these time skips at the end of the episodes, it feels like there's a problem with the pacing if, in order to create a cliffhanger, you have to use a clip from a future episode.

Non has lost it.

Are they really, really doing what I think they're doing? Is this really some kind of plan to get Win and Korn together? Surely not?

IT IS! And it's the stupidest plan ever wtf. I know it technically has nothing to do with Non's ability to practise medicine but I think he should be stripped of his license for having such a dumb thought and then going through with it.

Holy shit the mum is EVIL. Who the fuck comes up with a plan that they know will break so many people's heart what the actual fuck. She caused all of this and she has the gall the cry???

WTF NO DON'T HUG HER BOOT HER INTO THE SEA.

I'm fuming too much at the mum to properly enjoy the cuteness but. Cute.

Oh Aunty and Uncle are back and you know what, brief attempt at indirect murder aside, they're actually not too bad. Like their reasoning seems to make sense and they're being pretty reasonable about everything now Win will actually talk to them. They don't really read as villains tbh. No the real villain is the damn mum.

Awwwww they're running the farm together now.

Glad to see that Non is no longer a full time doctor.

Haha love the horse riding montage but that is not Earth or Mix. I'll suspend my disbelief though.

The cuteness is nearly enough to make up for what happened at the start of this episode. Nearly.

I won't lie, these last 2 episodes were not great and, had they appeared at the start of the episode, I would have 100% dropped this. Still, they stood on the strength of previous episodes and I definitely wanted to see how everything wrapped up so they were a (somewhat painful) watch. For the most part I was satisfied (in fact I was pleased with every conclusion apart from the mum's) although they could have been condensed into 1 episode for all the content they contained.

Finally get to this after months goddamn but I wanted to watch it before 2022 ended and I’m in the mood for something lighthearted, so here we go :)

Episode 1 (Oct 8)

loll Kluen and Nuea just staring at each other after meeting again while everyone else being like “girl, is he okay?”

people I recognize so far: Pawin, Sammy and also the guy from Love By Chance who played Pond the horny roommate (Yacht)

lol that’s gotta be a dream confession + kiss right? I’m onto you GMMTV after the Eclipse imaginary kiss ep 6 and Vice Versa imaginary reunion Ep 11. I think I’ve seen comments of the Cupid’s Last Wish Magic of Zero episode having an imaginary proposal as well, is GMMTV tryna hit the trope for every BL of theirs?

Fine, cute enough. Got annoying in the middle with the Phoon thing and then got boring after they got together. The start was the strongest part, the way they portrayed being awkward around one another but still having giddy, cute moments was great. It’s kinda like Vice Versa in the sense that it’s a fun show to binge but you mustn’t think while doing so.

thinking about how i want a fic post-series canon where korn basically tells the whole mafia world that vegas and macau died in the shoot out tragically so that the two of them are forced to fuck off into the horizon with pete and stay out of the theerapanyakul empire

so pete takes vegas and macau to his old hometown with grandma and a shitton of retirement money thrown at them by korn (and he periodically sends them more money just for kicks) which means that pete opens up a little dojo teaching small children how to defend themselves from abusive adults, vegas doesnt quite go for therapy but is given the space and time to heal, and macau is shit outta luck bc he still gotta study in uni

also with the fake death nonsense that means vegas and macau are saengtham now and if anyone even looks at her grandson-in-law funny, grandma is likely to throw her cane at them

i just wanna see vegas bloom from having to put on his manipulative fake genial mask on in front of grandma to actually genuinely enjoying her knowledge and company and learning from her bc so much of pete came from her and vegas finds he loves this kindly old woman as much as he loves his husband

vegas going for old ppl taichi with grandma and afternoon gossip sessions in the local park where a bunch of old ppl gather with homemade snacks and drinks and share neighbourhood/town news with each other and he finally gets a chance to find a sense of community in the people around him who he thought were extremely distant and removed from the mafia circle but it turns out when you live till this sorta age you see all sorts of horrible shit in life too

im thinking about a plate sliding off a table and triggering vegas' memory of kan and he pretty much has ptsd and starts losing his shit in public despite not wanting to and the whole painful spiral of going thru that and the community elders who sit thru it with him and guide him firmly but gently out of shell shock because they have seen trauma in so many loved ones and now vegas is one of those people too

I don’t rewatch shows on my own but I’ve convinced a couple of friends to watch some of my favs with me! So I just finished rewatching Semantic Error with one friend, Bad Buddy with another, Cupid’s Last Wish, my underrated beloved, with my twin, and we’re planning on starting The Devil Judge with my group chat. I’m also planning an Until We Meet Again rewatch because I never finished it the first time and my friend insists I have to watch it the whole way through.

Looking Forward To

I’m going to sound like a broken record because I’ve been saying this for months but now that The Eclipse and Vice Versa are airing, the only upcoming show I’m really excited for is Gap. Also Make A Wish, an upcoming Sammon adaptation, because I’m obsessed with Sammon adaptations. But that’s probably faaaaar in the future. My friend and I are going to be starting Law School and Kamisama No Ekohiiki and Sell Your Haunted House soon and I’m planning on starting Extraordinary Lawyer Woo soon too! Super excited for those!

I finally have a day off!! (The last one I had was thirteen days ago 🤪)

I mean, I do love my job but it can be A Lot™ sometimes and varies between normal working hours and long days and evenings...which is affecting my watching and commenting of BL capabilities. And of course I miss interacting with y'all's posts...but here's where I am...

Enchante ep 10

Although not the perfect ending (has that ever happened?), it was still good and I do like this series. I want to do a proper write up of the ep...if only to complete my series of posts rather than a need I have to write about it...and I'll get round to it at some point. Along with the slightly disappointing plot, I was a little disappointed by the choices of visual details...which I felt didn't satisfactorily follow the patterns set up earlier in the series. But whatever...

Cutie Pie ep 7

I'm still frowning, still wishing I could love it as much as others do, still disappointed by the poor representation of communication, honestly, and CONSENT. I love these characters but I don't love how they are interacting with each other...and I don't think much would need to be changed for them to have healthier relationships and still have the level of pining and uncertainty the story desires them to have. *sigh* Oh and I might not be able to watch ep 8 because of the 18+ rating. And at this point I just feel meh about it *shrugs*

Kinnporsche ep 1

I LOVED IT!! SO SO MUCH! I'm not even bothered by the characters' questionable morals. And Porsche and Chay's brotherly love just about ended me. I mean, how can a series make me cry in the FIRST EPISODE?! Is this a sign of how it's going to go? All sexy motherfu*kers one second and tugging on my heartstrings the next? Ok yes, I'm here for that.

Cupid's Last Wish ep 2

I'm still finding the body swap a bit... *shudders* ...but the actors are keeping me engaged. I do appreciate Korn and Win have very different personalities than Phupha and Tian, which is making it easier for me to separate them in my brain. I still think Win is a mean, ungrateful little sh*t...but *something something the trauma of his father's death something something* and I guess he'll get his redemption arc. But honestly, the way he's been towards Korn, Korn is better off without him...but, again, whatever.

Star in my Mind ep 1

Ahhhh Joong my beloved. So this seems like this is a 'generally mutual pining but either miscommunication or unable to communicate' type storyline at play here. Which, fine, if it's done well. I thought Dunk was okay, a bit over-expressive at times, but Joong steals the scene every time. I love that he's playing almost the opposite character to Ming in 2 Moons 2 (moody vs puppy) and because of this every time Khabkhleun smiles it's even more radiant. I love all the friends, I squealed when I saw JJ...and Samantha and Yacht...and I hope Tingting and Phaphaeng become a couple too 🤞🏽

Secret Crush on You ep 9

I haven't written about his series yet...and whilst I do like some of the plot and characters' dynamics...there's SO MUCH CRINGE...and also a few questionable choices. Too much for me to write about here...and I also don't think I need to at all. I like what the show is trying to do, I just think it tries too hard in some places and unfortunately not hard enough in others. But I'm not going to pull it down for all of you who do love it. And Daisy and Intouch have stolen my heart dammit.

Ezaaaaaaa OMG I just binge watched Enchante and it's such a gem of a show! I watched Cherry Magic because of you too so it's not like I went into it thinking that it wouldn't be good, but it surprised me just how much I'm liking it! Episode 8 was so good and so worth the wait, but now I'm worried about what's going to happen in the remaining 2 episodes 😭 I don't want anything bad to happen to Theo and Akk just when they got together 😭 What do you think is going to happen in episodes 9 and 10?

that is a great question.... there are a few things that come to mind. first, I think the show is going to tie up any loose ends with the ambassadors. we'll see how Saifa is gonna be living his dream of becoming a singer for the simple price of playing cupid lmao, and we're definitely gonna be seeing Phupha and his mom (based on some clips in the BTS special). They're also gonna want to show what tf is up with Tan and how his relationship with Natee is gonna progress, since it's obvious that he likes Natee. As for Wayo - it looks like his arc is mostly resolved, but I can also see him having a brief interaction with our main boys so that he can get some closure with Theo, given that their last interaction was them throwing hands. Idk. Idc that much about wayo lmao

second, there's the issue of the literature major being phased out.... which I seriously wish will not happen!! because my baby Theo worked so hard on the zine fair!! but. I'm also prepared for the possibility of it happening, because it would be a pretty good source of conflict or dilemma for Theo's character and his relationship with akk e.g., will he change majors? I don't see it happening, given how stubborn he is and how much he loves literature. So will he change schools? Maybe :'( but it'll definitely be a struggle, since Theo obviously would want to always stay close to Akk.

third, they might include some reactions from theo's parents regarding his newfound romance, but I don't think it'll be angsty, since they've established that Theo's mom is okay with her son being queer. They might throw in the whole social class difference thing, but that wouldn't make sense. If status difference was gonna be an issue, theo’s parents would've never let him be close friends with akk in the first place. we already know that Im and Egg are gonna react like the supportive teasing queens they are in ep 9, so I'm looking forward to that :D I always love me some sibling dynamics!!

finally, and probably most obviously, they'll introduce Sun's character properly. He's definitely gonna play a big role in the last 2 episodes. He seems to genuinely like Theo based on the interactions we've seen of him and Theo, but we don't know yet what the nature of his feelings is. I think he's gonna show up in Thailand and trigger a whole crisis in Akk. We know from the trailer that akk is gonna have self-doubts about whether or not he's worthy of Theo, which is just so :((( I hope this doesn't entail him and Theo breaking up tho, because THEY JUST GOT TOGETHER. i'd be so mad if they broke up so quickly lmao. but i do think it'll be good to address Akk's insecurities, and I do think that it makes sense that his inferiority complex wouldn't disappear overnight after he and Theo got together. those things take time, you know?

I can also see them throwing in something that would make theo go back to France :( but if they do, my only wish is that akk will go with him lol

honestly, idk, anon. I personally think that the show has been well-paced so far, so I'm holding out hope that the writers won't throw in too much shit in the final 2 episodes unless it can all be resolved nicely and meaningfully. With all these things needing to be addressed, I hope that they won't have time to come up with some nonsense to drive theo and akk apart lol. so maybe we won't have to experience the penultimate-episode-angsty-break-up curse!!

This Week in BL - 2 GREAT Shows Ended & 1 Crappy One

March to April 2022 wk 1

Being a highly subjective assessment of one tiny corner of the interwebs.

Organized by which ones (in each category) I’m enjoying the most.

Ongoing Series - Thai

My Ride (GaGa) Ep 10fin - BL grew up with this pulp - a truly lovely and special little show featuring the extremely rare pairing of sunshine/sunshine AKA a cinnamon roll couple. Mature explorations of relationships using one of the softest, sweetest and most innocent friends to lovers vehicles. Kindly, overworked doctor meets broken-hearted motorcycle taxi driver in an “other side of the tracks” slow burn romance. The support cast is excellent, making for great friendship groups and family dynamics. With honest queer rep that adds to, but doesn’t impede the story, and genuine conversation about the nature of class, wealth, and classism, not to mention communication, honesty, and respect for boundaries, you can’t go wrong with this show. In other news, I am a sucker for a single dimple. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 9/10

Cutie Pie (YouTube Sat) Ep 7 - This is a cute little show when they’re awkwardly trying to date each other and be domestic. I love a grocery shopping trope. MaxNat giving us some really good kisses. Nuea & Syn are also cute. AND a BounPrem cameo. Pretty much they just there to shill for a gay marriage. But okay. I like the gay mafia cabal they got going on at Pentagon. The public love confession in the club was kind of insane actually, but that’s sort of the way the show is going. Also I guess that’s what gay clubs are for... making out. Owner has to do it and show how it’s done.

La Cuisine (GaGa Sat) Ep 4 - This series is so soft and sweet. I love the way Ram is making his intentions clear without ever crossing a line very much the gentleman, it matches to Choup’s shyness really well. But I don’t see how they’re going to progress anywhere with these personality types. Meanwhile Sky is THE BEST boy. Being on the phone talking with your crush all night long is so first love, I can’t even. But I’ve actually never seen it depicted in a BL. I remain wild about this show and I love that they are confronting the cost of celebrity.

KinnPorsche (iQIYI Sat) Ep 1 - I loathe the opening credits and song, not that this matters much. Initial thoughts: We in for 50% car porn 50% actual porn? OK. I’m game. The fight sequences are really good. Kinn’s eyebrows are like seriously aggressive caterpillars - I’m half afraid they’re going to strike out on their own, take up the rainbow flag and join the march in Not Me. I was thinking about live blogging this one, but honestly that’s all I have a lot to say so far. I didn’t take a lot of screenshots, which is usually a sign I don’t have a ton of feelings on a show. So far KiinPorsche is fine, good even. I’m interested. I’m looking forward to the next episode. But the most exciting thing for me was the ombre (hombre, heh heh) suit, and it’s not whipping me into a verbal frenzy. Not even the suit. However, if I feel different next week...

Dear Doctor, I'm Coming for Soul (iQIYI Weds) Ep 1-2 - I could imagine MaxTul anchoring this series but I’m glad to have Karn (the soul reaper Tua Phee) & Nut (Doctor Prakan) back on my screen. I like the nurse with the crush. In fact, I like all of the characters. The acting a solid too. I’m finding the music a little intrusive but I LOVE the premise so I’m willing to forgive it a few growing pains. Also we can’t ask too much from a New directed piece these days.

Cupid's Last Wish (YouTube Sun) Ep 1 - I like it a lot more than I expected. I like that they are basically boyfriends before anything goes down. I like the will betrayal as a fissure point (witnessed a few of these myself). I love that Korn can recognize Win behind his sister’s eyes instantly. Mix is acting his little heart out. I’m into it. I’m keeping it in rotation.

Miracle of the Teddy Bear (grey Sun) Ep 1-3 - This is NOT a premise that interests me. It consists of 16 short eps, airing Fri-Sun on Ch3 & 3Plus, reruns with subs on Netflix Asia, nothing else international. (Apparently it’s already super popular in Thailand.) I gave it a try on DC and I really do love the cast. I really like the leads dynamic, and the actor playing the teddy bear is adorable. But I find the inanimate objects talking really creepy. I ADORE the secondary couple - I always love a younger Ernest age gap romance. I think if it comes up on my radar again I’ll keep watching, but I’m not fussed.

Enchante (YouTube Fri) Ep 10fin - Well that was a thing. Honestly it probubly should get an 8/10 by my rating system but I was so disappointed I’m giving it a 7/10 and not bothering to write a review. RECOMMENDED WItH RESERVATIONS Live blogg ep-by-ep recap here.

The Tuxedo (GaGa Sat) Ep 5 - These two are very good at flirting. But I’m not sure I can ever forgive the rich kid character. Another BL that is squandering great chemistry. So I guess that isn’t just only GMMTV’s purview.

Love Stage!! (AISplay or grey Sat) Ep 8 - the subber I follow is on vacay so no report this week, I’m getting behind on this one.

Also it looks like Korea might serves us a little coming out drama next ep (not normal for them) gonna be interesting to see how they handle it. Delicately, I’d guess. I wonder if HaeBom’s gonna find out and leave, for TaeSung’s own good, and then TaeSung self destructs. That’s how I’d write it with this kind of pairing.

Blue of Winter AKA Judo Boys (Korea Weds YouTube) Ep 5fin - I don’t know, it was odd, like Strongberry decided to do a pulp? Not terrible but not good either. 3/10 NOT RECOMMENDED, I don’t know what I’m watching and neither does it.

Blueming (Korea IQIYI Weds or Thurs) Ep 1-11 - it’s ongoing if you want to watch it for free week-by-week, but my FairyBLParent got me VIP so I watched it all at once. I LOVED it. You’ll need to get through the first 5 eps though. YOU CAN DO IT! Review here. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 9/10.

Taiwanese BL (ish) Papa & Daddy has had a recast for season 2. The actor playing the seme role has been replaced.

To My Star stars, Son Woo Hyeon & Kim Kang Min are cast together (again) in non-BL Kdrama, The Golden Spoon. So far they have been in Tale of the Nine-Tailed (not BL) and To My Star 1 & 2.
