Kidney disappointment
Kidney disappointment is a condition wherein either of your kidneys never again work all alone. Causes incorporate diabetes, hypertension and intense kidney wounds. Side effects incorporate weariness, queasiness and retching, enlarging, changes in how frequently you go to the washroom and cerebrum haze. Treatment incorporates dialysis or a kidney relocate.
Side effects and Causes
Individuals with kidney disappointment might feel debilitated and confounded. They additionally may have expanding, spasms, exhaustion and may pee on a more regular basis.
The beginning phases of constant kidney infection might not have side effects, however kidney disappointment side effects might incorporate inclination debilitated, disarray, expanding and peeing a ton.
What is kidney disappointment?
Kidney disappointment (renal disappointment) implies either of your kidneys never again capability well all alone. Kidney disappointment is some of the time impermanent and grows rapidly (intense). Different times it's a constant (long haul) condition that gradually deteriorates.
Kidney disappointment is the most serious phase of kidney sickness. It's deadly without treatment. On the off chance that you have kidney disappointment, you might endure a couple of days or weeks without treatment.
What do the kidneys do?
Your kidneys are bean-formed organs about the size of your clench hand. They sit under your ribcage, toward your back. The vast majority have two working kidneys, yet you can live well with just a single kidney for however long it's working accurately.
Kidneys have a few positions. One of the main positions is assisting your body with killing poisons. Your kidneys channel your blood and send side-effects out of your body in pee (pee).
At the point when your kidneys don't work accurately, side-effects develop in your body. Assuming this occurs, you'll feel wiped out and in the long run kick the bucket without treatment. Many individuals can oversee kidney disappointment with the legitimate treatment.
Who does kidney disappointment influence?
Kidney disappointment can influence anybody. Nonetheless, you might be at a higher gamble of creating kidney disappointment if you:
Have diabetes.
Have hypertension (hypertension).
Have coronary illness.
Have a family background of kidney illness.
What happens when kidney disappointment begins?
There are kidney sickness stages as per your assessed glomerular filtration rate (eGFR).
Your eGFR is a computation of how well your kidneys channel substances. A typical eGFR is around 100. The least eGFR is 0, and that implies there's no excess kidney capability.
The phases of any kidney infection include:
Stage I. Your GFR is higher than 90 however under 100. At this stage, your kidneys have gentle harm yet at the same time capability ordinarily.
Stage II. Your GFR might be pretty much as low as 60 or as high as 89. You have more harm to your kidneys than in stage I, however they actually capability well.
Stage III. Your GFR might be essentially as low as 30 or as high as 59. You might have gentle or extreme loss of kidney capability.
Stage IV. Your GFR might be just about as low as 15 or as high as 29. You have extreme loss of kidney capability.
Stage V. Your GFR is under 15. Your kidneys are approaching or at complete disappointment.
Side effects and Causes
What are the primary admonition indications of kidney disappointment?
Many individuals experience not many or no side effects in the beginning phases of kidney sickness. Nonetheless, constant kidney infection (CKD) may in any case cause harm despite the fact that you feel fine.
CKD and kidney disappointment side effects shift between individuals. On the off chance that your kidneys aren't working as expected, you might see at least one of the accompanying signs:
Outrageous sleepiness (exhaustion).
Sickness and retching.
Disarray or inconvenience concentrating.
Enlarging (edema), especially around your hands, lower legs or face.
Peeing on a more regular basis.
Cramps (muscle fits).
Dry or irritated skin.
Unfortunate craving or food might taste metallic.
What are the most widely recognized reasons for kidney disappointment?
Diabetes and hypertension are the most widely recognized reasons for persistent kidney illness and kidney disappointment.
Unmanaged diabetes can prompt high glucose levels (hyperglycemia). Reliably high glucose can harm your kidneys as well as different organs.
Hypertension implies blood voyages strongly through your body's veins. Over the long run and without treatment, the additional power can harm your kidneys' tissue.
Kidney disappointment generally doesn't occur rapidly. Other CKD causes that might prompt kidney disappointment include:
Polycystic kidney infection (PKD). PKD is a condition you acquire from one of your folks (acquired condition) that causes liquid filled sacs (pimples) to develop inside your kidneys.
Glomerular sicknesses. Glomerular sicknesses influence how well your kidneys channels squander.
Lupus. Lupus is an immune system infection that can cause organ harm, joint agony, fever and skin rashes.
Kidney disappointment can likewise grow rapidly in light of a startling reason. Intense kidney disappointment (intense kidney injury) is the point at which your kidneys unexpectedly lose their capacity to work. Intense kidney disappointment might create inside the space of hours or days. It's not unexpected transitory.
Normal reasons for intense kidney disappointment include:
Immune system kidney illnesses.
Certain meds.
Serious parchedness.
A urinary plot check.
Untreated foundational sicknesses, like coronary illness or liver infection.
Is kidney disappointment infectious?
No, kidney disappointment isn't infectious. You likewise can't spread conditions that make CKD someone else.
Determination and Tests
How is kidney disappointment analyzed?
A medical care supplier might utilize an assortment of kidney capability tests to assess your kidneys and analyze kidney disappointment. Assuming the supplier associates you're in danger with kidney disappointment, normal tests include:
Blood tests. Blood tests show how well your kidneys eliminate squander from your blood. A supplier will utilize a meager needle to pull out a modest quantity of blood from a vein in your arm. Experts will then examine your blood test at a lab.
Pee tests. Pee tests measure explicit substances in your pee, like protein or blood. You'll pee into an extraordinary holder at a supplier's office or a medical clinic. Specialists will then, at that point, dissect your pee test at a lab.
Imaging tests. Imaging tests permit a supplier to take a gander at your kidneys and the encompassing regions to recognize irregularities or blockages. Normal imaging tests incorporate kidney ultrasound, CT urogram and X-ray.
The executives and Treatment
How is kidney disappointment treated?
Kidney disappointment treatment relies upon the reason and degree of the issue.
Therapy for a persistent ailment can dial back the movement of kidney illness. On the off chance that your kidneys step by step quit working, a medical services supplier might utilize a couple strategies to follow your wellbeing and keep up with kidney capability to the extent that this would be possible. These strategies might include:
Ordinary blood tests.
Circulatory strain checks.
Prescription.
In the event that you're in kidney disappointment, you want treatment to keep you alive. There are two fundamental medicines for kidney disappointment.
Dialysis
Dialysis assists your body with separating blood. There are two sorts of dialysis:
Hemodialysis. In hemodialysis, a machine consistently cleans your blood for you. The vast majority get hemodialysis three to four days every week at a medical clinic or dialysis center.
Peritoneal dialysis. In peritoneal dialysis, a supplier connects a pack with a dialysis answer for a catheter in your stomach lining. The arrangement streams from the sack into your stomach lining, retains byproducts and additional liquids and channels once again into the pack. Here and there individuals can get peritoneal dialysis at home.
Kidney relocate
A specialist puts a sound kidney in your body during a kidney relocate to take over for your harmed kidney. The sound kidney (contributor organ) may come from a departed benefactor or a living giver. You can live well with one sound kidney.
Could an individual at any point recuperate from kidney disappointment?
Indeed, you can recuperate from kidney disappointment with legitimate treatment. You might require treatment until the end of your life.
How long can you live with kidney disappointment?
Without dialysis or a kidney relocate, kidney disappointment is deadly. You might endure a couple of days or weeks without treatment.
In the event that you're on dialysis, the typical future is five to 10 years. Certain individuals can satisfy 30 years on dialysis.
On the off chance that you have a kidney relocate, the typical future assuming that you get a kidney from a living benefactor is 12 to 20 years. The typical future in the event that you get a kidney from a departed giver is eight to 12 years.
What prescriptions are utilized to treat kidney disappointment?
Contingent upon the reason for your kidney illness, a medical care supplier might endorse at least one of the accompanying prescriptions:
Angiotensin-changing over protein (Expert) inhibitor or angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). These prescriptions assist with bringing down your pulse.
Diuretics. These assist with eliminating additional liquid from your body.
Statins. These assist with bringing down your cholesterol levels.
Erythropoietin-animating specialists. These assist with building red platelets assuming that you have weakness.
Vitamin D and calcitriol. These assist with forestalling bone misfortune.
Phosphate fasteners. These assist with eliminating additional phosphorus in your blood.
Care at Cleveland Facility
Get Kidney Care for a Grown-up
Get Kidney Care for a Kid
Make an Arrangement
Counteraction
How might I forestall kidney disappointment?
However kidney disappointment and CKD aren't reversible, you can do whatever it takes to assist with safeguarding your kidney capability. Sound propensities and schedules might dial back how rapidly your kidneys lose their capacity to work.
Kidney disease is a serious medical condition that affects millions of people worldwide. It can lead to kidney failure if left untreated which can be life-threatening. Recognizing the symptoms of kidney failure and understanding the importance of early detection and treatment is crucial for managing this condition effectively.

"Since 2020, the condition known as long COVID-19 has become a widespread disability affecting the health and quality of life of millions of people across the globe and costing economies billions of dollars in reduced productivity of employees and an overall drop in the work force.
The intense scientific effort that long COVID sparked has resulted in more than 24,000 scientific publications, making it the most researched health condition in any four years of recorded human history."
...
It concludes that long COVID is a complex chronic condition that can result in more than 200 health effects across multiple body systems. These include new onset or worsening:
heart disease
neurologic problems such as cognitive impairment, strokes and dysautonomia. This is a category of disorders that affect the body’s autonomic nervous system – nerves that regulate most of the body’s vital mechanisms such as blood pressure, heart rate and temperature.
post-exertional malaise, a state of severe exhaustion that may happen after even minor activity — often leaving the patient unable to function for hours, days or weeks
gastrointestinal disorders
kidney disease
metabolic disorders such as diabetes and hyperlipidemia, or a rise in bad cholesterol
immune dysfunction
Long COVID can affect people across the lifespan from children to older adults and across race and ethnicity and baseline health status. Importantly, more than 90% of people with long COVID had mild COVID-19 infections."
There is still no cure.

"For the first time, genetically modified pig kidneys provided “life-sustaining kidney function” during the course of a planned seven-day clinical study—a first step in addressing the critical crisis worldwide of kidney donor organ shortage.
The University of Alabama’s pre-clinical human study at Birmingham also advances the science and promise of xenotransplantation as a therapy to potentially cure end-stage kidney disease—just as a human-to-human transplants can.
“It has been truly extraordinary to see the first-ever preclinical demonstration that appropriately modified pig kidneys can provide normal, life-sustaining kidney function in a human safely and be achieved using a standard immunosuppression regimen,” said UAB transplant surgeon scientist Jayme Locke, M.D., director of UAB’s Comprehensive Transplant Institute and lead author of the paper...
The peer-reviewed findings published last month in JAMA Surgery describes the pioneering pre-clinical human research performed on a recipient experiencing brain death...
The pre-clinical human brain death model developed at UAB can evaluate the safety and feasibility of pig-to-human kidney xenografts, or transplants, without risk to a living human. It is named for transplant pioneer Jim Parsons, an organ donor whose family generously donated his body to advance xenotransplant kidney research, like the latest patient did.
A Critical Need
Kidney disease kills more people each year than breast or prostate cancer, while more than 90,000 people are on the transplant waiting list. More than 800,000 Americans are living with kidney failure and 240 Americans on dialysis die every day. The wait for a deceased donor kidney can be as long as five to 10 years, and almost 5,000 people per year die waiting for a kidney transplant.
Groundbreaking Study Details
The 52-year-old study subject for this research lived with hypertension and stage 2 chronic kidney disease, which affects more than one in seven U.S. adults, or an estimated 37 million Americans. As part of this study, the subject had both of his native kidneys removed and dialysis stopped, followed by a crossmatch-compatible xenotransplant with two 10 gene-edited pig kidneys, or UKidney.
The transplanted pig kidneys made urine within four minutes of re-perfusion and produced more than 37 liters of urine in the first 24 hours. The pig kidneys continued to function as they would in a living human for the entirety of the seven-day study. Also, the kidneys were still viable at the time the study was concluded.
“In the first 24 hours these kidneys made over 37 liters of urine,” said Dr. Locke. “It was really a remarkable thing to see.” ...
Gene editing in pigs to reduce immune rejection has made organ transplants from pigs to humans possible. The natural lifespan of a pig is 30 years, they are easily bred, and they have organs of similar size to humans. Genetically modified pig kidneys have been extensively tested in non-human primates, and the addition of UAB’s preclinical human research model—the Parsons Model—now provides important information about the safety and efficacy of kidneys in human transplant recipients."

Global Emergency Compounded by the AIDS-like Features of SARS-CoV-2 Infection - Published Sept 1, 2024
Over a million people in the US are being infected with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus type 2 (SARS-CoV-2) every day.
Originally named after the acute respiratory syndrome it can cause as a consequence of blood vessel damage in the lungs, SARS-CoV-2 is actually primarily a blood vessel virus that spreads through the airways. It causes a complex multisystem disease (1). It is airborne (2). It can persist in the body, and is detectable in body and brain tissue even at autopsy of “recovered” patients (3).
Each infection ages the body, causes damage to the blood vessels and the immune system, and affects organs including the heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, bones, etc. (4, 5, 6)
Each infection ages the brain. Specifically, it reduces gray matter and cognitive ability (7), and potentially IQ score (8). It increases the risk of psychiatric disorders (9). SARS-CoV-2 has also been identified as contributing to accelerated dementia (10).
The potential post-acute phase impacts of SARS-CoV-2 include long COVID, some manifestations of which are chronic conditions that can last a lifetime, including heart disease, diabetes, myalgic encephalomyelitis and dysautonomia (11).
The Economist has estimated excess deaths from the beginning of the Pandemic through May 2024 at up to 35 million people worldwide. (12)
In Addition, Many Scientists Are Now Issuing Warnings… SARS-CoV-2 triggers a new airborne form of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (13, 14, 15) (some are proposing specific terms such as “CoV-AIDS”).
This is not AIDS as we know it from human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, it is a new type of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome with different deleterious effects on immune function (16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21), but both resulting in increased vulnerability to infections (22). Immune system deficiency and other COVID properties also suggest a potential link to greater risk of cancers (23, 24, 25, 26, 27).
The “original” AIDS caused by HIV takes up to around 10 to 15 years to make its presence felt, with the initial infection usually barely noticed and often resembling the common cold or a flu-like disease until its damage manifests itself leading to death in the absence of treatments (28, 29).
With SARS-CoV-2, immunodeficiency develops in the weeks and months following infection. It involves reduction and functional exhaustion of T Cells (30), enhanced inhibition of MHC-I expression (31), downregulating CD19 expression in B cells (32) and other evidence of immune dysregulation (33, 34). In one study, the dysregulation persisted for 8 months following initial mild-to-moderate SARS-CoV-2 infection, the length of the study (35). There is no “cure” for any of the damage caused by SARS-CoV-2 including immune dysregulation.
Did You Know? Repeated infections are leading to prolonged immune dysregulation, and increase the risk of progressive disability and death.
Long COVID is a multisystem disease with debilitating symptoms, which has had a profound impact on society and the global economy. In the USA, economists have estimated that long COVID will incur cumulative future costs of more than US$4 trillion (36, 37).
The worldwide devastating economic consequences of this mass disabling event have been measured in terms of total work hours and GDP lost around the world (38).
It theoretically only takes a single viral particle to initiate an infection, and most infections are initiated by very few viral particles (39).
Despite current popular belief, the immune system is NOT a muscle, and does NOT benefit from being repeatedly challenged with disease-causing microbes. In fact, its finite resources are depleted with each new infection.
Herd immunity is unattainable for a rapidly mutating, immune-disrupting virus, and there is no basis to believe that a vascular infection will evolve into the common cold. Continuing to ignore SARS-CoV-2 will not make it go away. Depriving the virus of publicity does not deprive it of its continuing lethal effects.
SARS-CoV-2 is continuing to evolve and mutate – it is not running out of evolutionary space. It is not a cold or the flu, but primarily a blood vessel disease. It is damaging society as we know it.
How many repeated infections can we expect young people to endure and survive? Even if they get only 1 infection each year, that’s 10 infections in 10 school years. This is not compatible with health and a long life. Repeated infections can lead to long COVID and shortened lifespans.
How Do We Protect Ourselves, How Do We Protect Our Children, When Government Public Health Advice Has Failed?
By reducing transmission so that R0 remains less than one (meaning that each person infects less than one other), we can suppress and gradually eliminate the virus, targeting a safer return to pre-2020 normal.
Handwashing is helpful, but it is not the main way to stop the spread of this airborne virus.
Respirators can block 95% or more of virus particles through electrostatic action, and are therefore highly effective at reducing infection even if only one person in a conversation is wearing them. They are far more effective if all people are wearing them (40).
Transmission can be reduced with HEPA filtration and ventilation of indoor air.
The virus spreads more quickly in indoor settings, but also spreads outdoors.
For medical facilities, it is essential to clean the air with ventilation and filtration and require universal high-quality masking (with N-95/ FFP3 respirators or better) to protect medical staff and patients.
For workplaces, clean air will reduce transmission; and encouraging employees to test and stay home when infectious is essential. High-quality masking should be encouraged in the case of symptoms, a sick person at home, or any other suspicion that one could be carrying the virus. Remote work should be normalized and encouraged wherever possible.
For entertainment venues, events should be held outdoors when possible; and if indoors, clean air is key to protecting audiences. Audiences should also be encouraged to wear respirators to avoid getting infected and infecting others. Digital streaming options should always be offered.
For restaurants, an emphasis on outdoor dining will substantially reduce transmission. Patio service should be encouraged, and indoor dining areas should be well-ventilated with a high level of air-exchanges. Home or curbside delivery offers a safer alternative.
For schools, clean air will reduce transmission; encouraging students to test and stay home when infectious is essential to preserving their health. Masking or remote learning should be initiated whenever a case is detected or the incidence in the general population sharply increases. A permanent hybrid model / digital option can accommodate children with disabilities or those who simply do better learning from home.
Teachers and medical professionals may prefer to use transparent masks, or to wear HEPA-filtered headgear equipment that may be more universally tolerated/accepted.
To track our progress, we need sustained wastewater and population-level testing.
With just 60-70 percent of people taking mitigation measures such as masking, testing and isolating when infected, we can dramatically reduce forward transmission of the virus.
Even with very imperfect measures, as long as one infected person does not infect more than one person on average, the virus will eventually die out. The fewer people each person infects on average, the faster it will happen.
We still have a window of opportunity. Protecting ourselves and our families is in fact protecting the economy and the continued orderly functioning of our society.

hey! so i hope this isn’t too creepy/nosey, but im a medical student and i was reading your possible fibromyalgia post and have a couple ideas lol. full important disclaimer that im only partly into my studies and im currently in the hypochondriac phase and also your summary was amazing but a real doc would ask way more questions, so please consult with an actual doc and take everything i say with a grain of salt! but like your symptoms aren’t nothing so i would def encourage finding a doc that you trust to do a proper exam and run some tests. also im operating under the assumption that you’re under 50 lol, bc if you’re over 50ish that’s a whole diff list of possible diagnoses.
so the thirst thing you’re talking about is often called polydipsia and is commonly associated with diabetes insipidus. that’s not the normal diabetes you think about, but happens when your body can’t regulate fluids in your body properly. id think of this if you’re also peeing a lot lol. your doc would have to do some kidney tests for that, which wouldn’t be part of the blood panel you mentioned. i’m a little skeptical that it’s hypokalemia bc that would’ve showed up on your blood test results. it could be transient electrolyte imbalances when you exercise so have one of those electrolyte packets when you exercise lol, bc it never hurts to try the easy solutions first, but chronic low potassium should’ve shown up? tho eating sweet potatoes has never hurt.
other things it could be is a lower motor neuron problem bc you mentioned twitches and muscle weakness which is typical for those. i def can’t say more without tests, but look into/get your doc to look into myasthenia gravis or LEMS and see if either of those fit. i think it’s possible bc these often also start with face/upper body symptoms, but would need way more questions/tests to know. it’s unlikely but could also be a glycogen storage disease called McArdle disease bc you describe a second wind thing when you exercise along with exercise intolerance. that’s super rare tho so it’s unlikely unless someone in your family has it/has similar symptoms.
also look into autoimmune stuff like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and sjögrens disease. i have way less useful info on that bc we haven’t gotten to it in class yet lol, but sjögrens looks promising bc you often get dry mouth with it, and it often goes along with rheumatoid arthritis which could explain the joint stuff possibly.
it’s also totally possible this is fibromyalgia, but i would be cautious diagnosing it bc it often comes with fatigue and cognitive stuff which you didn’t mention. it’s also more of a pain thing, and doesn’t include your twitches/dry mouth. it’s def possible, and it was def something i thought of when i saw your symptoms, but personally i would want to rule out other stuff first bc fibromyalgia is pretty vague and often a diagnosis of exclusion when other things don’t fit.
sorry for overwhelming you!! i just saw your post and was like hmmm those symptoms sound like Something. again take my advice with a big grain of salt, but i do really think it’s worth asking your doc about it and getting tests done, bc even if there aren’t cures there are def treatments to help with a bunch of this stuff. it doesn’t sound urgent, but at least from your post your symptoms don’t sound like run of the mill aches and pains. hope you figure stuff out!!
The problem with 'muscles don't work right ouchy and I am also tired' is that it's a symptom for Absolutely Everything That Can Be Wrong With The Body. Is it cancer? Is it a terrible diet and sleep schedule? Who knows!
The doctor ran a diabetes test with the blood panel and it came up negative, but I don't know if that checks for weird kinds of diabetes. (Diabetes does not run in my family until we get very old.) That test was memorable because I have stupid fragile veins that freak out and collapse at the mere sight of a needle so I had to get stabbed nine times, they didn't manage to get the middle reading at all, and in the end they resorted to just stabbing my thumb with one of those diabetes home blood test thingies and manually squeezing my blood out into a tube drop by drop.
I looked up polydipsia and I don't think I have that. I think I just prefer my mouth to be wetter than my salival glands want it to be. 🤷‍♀️I think most of my problems are probably not related to any rare chronic disease, but just run-of-the-mill autism making it hard to look after myself or properly notice and process my physical condition and adapt accordingly. I don't eat enough fresh foods because it's hard to plan with the very short timeframe to prepare and eat them in. I'm uncoordinated and damage my body a lot through overwork or using muscles incorrectly because autism makes it hard to keep track of those things. My mouth feels dry and my skin feels itchy and my muscles feel sore because that's what being autistic feels like. My sleep schedule is garbage because my executive function is garbage and even once I do manage to get myself into the bed I can't just "go to sleep", I pass out when I'm ready to pass out.
I'm not saying it's impossible for anything else to be going on, but I think the known factor is the simplest explanation here. It's 2:30pm and I've been putting off breakfast for five hours. Every time I go into the kitchen I get distracted by housework instead. I am very hungry. This is not behaviour that is conducive to a well-functioning body.

hi everyone, i'm in need of some help. i hate asking others for anything, but this is different. as it concerns my babygirl of 13 years, apple. this cat has been with me thru everything. my parent's divorce, horrendous bullying throughout junior high, a couple breakups, a svicide attempt, loss, and much more. she is my rock and i wouldn't be here today without her. she got diagnosed with "kidney failure" by a vet on friday, and they swarmed my boyfriend in the clinic and urged us to put her down. that she wouldn't make it a week. i wanted some more time with her, so i took her home that day. when we got home, i started to panic because i was scared she was suffering, and got my boyfriend to contact his family vet to put her down that same day instead. to spare her from suffering. however, as we were in the patient room, about to sedate her to put her down, the doctor came in and looked at the bloodwork we received from the other vet. he immediately stopped the euthanasia-procedure and explained to me that she was not in kidney failure. that she was about in stage 2 of chronic kidney disease, and that she did not need to be put down. apparently some vets refuse to help cats with CKD and insist that there is no hope and that they should be put down upon diagnosis. but he didn't want to do that. so now here we are, she's back home with me and being just-about her usual self. however, CKD is common in senior cats and apple has it. it cannot be cured, and it is terminal, but cats with CKD can live happy, normal lives if they are given treatment and special care. (i've done lots of reading since thursday-friday.) of course though, vet bills and special food for apple is going to be expensive. so i would like to ask, if you can afford to commission me, or if you would like to donate at all, please check out my ko-fi. it would mean the absolute world to me, my boyfriend, my family, and apple. thank you so very much for reading ♥. please don't feel obligated to do anything, just keep her in your thoughts for me.

Don't you just love it when you have to prove you're still disabled and that incurable things haven't magically cured over night🙄.
I deal with chronic pain 24/7 because of a kidney disease I inherited off my dad's side of the family, Polycystic kidney disease is something that has no cure and like other diseases affects people differently, for me thankfully for now my kidneys work just fine but are riddled inside and out with cysts which causes me crippling pain all day everyday, because of the medical neglect I received at the start of the pain 8 years ago, I now have other issues, and lets not get start on the mental lol.
Now I have to prove to PIP, AGAIN, that I have not magically gotten better, I understand people lie but they have all my medical proof off good doctors and hospitals.
Sorry just needed to get this off my chest so to speak.

For patients battling diabetes, a group of Chinese scientists and clinicians may offer a glimmer of hope. For the first time in the world, a patient’s diabetes has reportedly been cured using cell therapy.
The patient, a 59-year-old man who had been living with type 2 diabetes for 25 years, was at serious risk of complications from the disease. He had a kidney transplant in 2017, but had lost most of his pancreatic islet function which controls blood glucose levels, and relied on multiple insulin injections every day.
“He was at great risk of serious diabetes complications,” Yin Hao, a leading researcher at Shanghai Changzheng Hospital, told Shanghai-based news outlet The Paper earlier this month.
The patient received the innovative cell transplant in July 2021. Eleven weeks after the transplant, he was free of the need for external insulin, and the dose of oral medication to control blood sugar levels was gradually reduced and completely stopped one year later.
“Follow-up examinations showed that the patient’s pancreatic islet function was effectively restored,” Yin said. The patient has now been completely weaned off insulin for 33 months.
The medical breakthrough, achieved by a team of doctors and researchers from institutions including Shanghai Changzheng Hospital, the Centre for Excellence in Molecular Cell Science under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Renji Hospital, all based in Shanghai, was published in the journal Cell Discovery on April 30.
“I think this study represents an important advance in the field of cell therapy for diabetes,” said Timothy Kieffer, a professor in the department of cellular and physiological sciences at the University of British Columbia in Canada.

Diabetes is a chronic condition that affects the way our bodies convert food into energy.
What we consume is broken down into glucose – a simple sugar – and released into the bloodstream. Insulin, produced by the islets of the pancreas, is essential for regulating blood sugar levels.
In diabetes, this system is hijacked: either the body does not produce enough insulin, or it cannot use the insulin it produces effectively.
There are several types of diabetes, of which type 2 is the most common, affecting almost 90 per cent of sufferers. It is largely diet-related and develops over time.
Regardless of the type of diabetes, failure to maintain normal blood glucose levels over time can lead to serious side effects, including heart disease, vision loss and kidney disease.
According to the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, “there isn’t a cure yet for diabetes”.
Along with losing weight, eating well and taking medication, insulin is the mainstay of treatment for some, but this requires frequent injections and monitoring.
Scientists around the world are researching islet transplant as a promising alternative, mainly by creating islet-like cells from human stem cell cultures. Now, after more than a decade of work, the group of Chinese scientists has come a step closer.
The team used and programmed the patient’s own peripheral blood mononuclear cells, Yin said, which were then transformed into “seed cells” and reconstituted pancreatic islet tissue in an artificial environment.
While preclinical data from Kieffer’s team supports the use of stem cell-derived islets for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, the report by Yin and colleagues is, to Kieffer’s knowledge, “the first evidence in humans”.
Yin said the breakthrough was another step forward in the relatively new field of regenerative medicine – where the body’s own regenerative capabilities are harnessed to treat illness.
“Our technology has matured and it has pushed boundaries in the field of regenerative medicine for the treatment of diabetes.”
Globally, China has the highest number of people with diabetes. According to the International Diabetes Federation, there are 140 million people with diabetes in the country. Of those, about 40 million depend on lifelong insulin injections.
China’s diabetic population is disproportionately high, according to Huang Yanzhong, a senior fellow for global health at the Council on Foreign Relations.
In an article last year, he pointed out that while China accounted for 17.7 per cent of the world’s population, the country’s diabetic population made up a staggering quarter of the global total, placing a huge health burden on the government.
If this approach for cell therapy ultimately works, Kieffer said, “it can free patients from the burden of chronic medications, improve health and quality of life, and reduce healthcare expenditures”.
But to get there, he added, studies in more patients based on the findings of this Chinese study were needed.

This week's theme is "together". Having just returned from celebrating together with my family, it was uplifting to read so many news articles of Israelis working together, and also with global partners. Ben Gurion Uni is working together with Israel's OncoHost on a cancer biosensor; Tel Aviv Uni has got together with UCLA to treat memory loss; Israel's BioNanoSim is marketing its eye disease treatments together with a Greek manufacturer; and the world's first AI chatbot for cancer patients is called "Beating Cancer Together" from Israel's Belong.Life. Yad Sarah volunteers have together saved Israel billions by providing ancillary medical services; the International Fellowship of Christians & Jews is celebrating 40 years of uniting Jews together with their homeland; for over 30 years, Israeli children have been receiving emotional therapy by swimming together with dolphins. And recently, a record 1,127 Birthright participants enjoyed Shabbat together at Jerusalem's Western Wall. Rarely publicized examples of "togetherness" include Jewish residents of Judea who frequently save the lives of their Palestinian Arab neighbors; the annual Veteran Games between injured UK and Israeli soldiers; and International legislators coming to Israel to strengthen bilateral ties. Israel and Japan have been connecting together at the Israel-Japan Conference in Tokyo; The latest stage of Israel's National Drone network is testing hundreds of commercial UAVs flying together; and Israel's Steakholder Foods and Singapore's Unami Meats are cultivating no-fish fish together. Finally, Israelis have attained some incredible teamwork achievements. The IDF's Special In Uniform Band just performed their 500th show together; Israel's Under 20 soccer team came 3rd in the World Cup; and two Israelis can be considered "joined at the hip" having just completed a unique marathon race together - one of them was a kidney donor, and the other was the recipient of her kidney. The photo is one single poster on the wall of the arrivals hallway at Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion International airport. The two images together show two of the multi-faceted sides of little Israel - busy innovating, while conserving and improving the environment.

💙 my heart is heavy with this one 💙
I have consistent nervous breakdowns over knowing this is my life. But yet I know many have no idea about the things I'm about to tell you.
Cyclic vomiting syndrome itself is not truely life-threatening but the complications that it creates can be.
I'M BEGGING FOR HELP!!
They do not provide enough accessible treatment. For complications I face from this rare disease.
I am unable to keep a job as I cannot work during vomiting episodes. Lasting anywhere between hours to days. Not including the recovery time needed after the episode is finished.
IT IS DEBILITATING.
Workplaces refuse to hire me when accomodations are asked due to this disability making me "unreliable". If you don't tell your employer and you miss too much work, your let go for being "unreliable". Finding a workplace who will accommodate you and provide consistent wages ... is unobtainable.
Accessing proper insurance coverage needed to make this rare disease manageable is unobtainable due to the plethora of needs we require to have met. Even when on welfare or disability.
Those who are not able to manage the triggers are pushed out of the workforce and forced to fight to get disability. Often unable to obtain federal disability as it isn't "as bad as cancer" as I was told... even with my other plethora of diagnoses that made my doctor feel it was my best course of action.
Not only dose this rare disease have complications of dehydration, damage to the esophagus and tooth decay. Most with this disease also suffer from other conditions (comorbidities), particularly other functional issues. Some of the common functional comorbidities to CVS include migraine headache, chronic fatigue, irritable bowel, gastroparesis, depression, anxiety, POTS and/or other forms of dysautonomia as well as neuromuscular disease include intellectual disabilities, autism, seizures, and/or hypotonia. As well as mitochondria dysfunctions
Incase you don't know mitochondria dysfunctions means your body cannot efficiently turn sugar and oxygen into energy, so the cells do not work correctly. This can affect different parts of the body: the brain, kidneys, muscles, heart, eyes, ears, and others. Organ dysfunction can be a very real possibility. Organ failure is organ dysfunction to such a degree that normal homeostasis cannot be maintained without external clinical intervention.
I have been diagnosed with 8 and counting of the comorbidities. These comorbidities have their own comorbidities that have also been added to my list.
Many doctors are under educated on CVS. Often those with CVS are not properly diagnosed, even with symptoms at a young age.
Many doctors tell us to figure out our CVS triggers to manage the disease. In my case I have so many triggers due to my plethora of diagnoses/comorbidities that my CVS is incredibly difficult, even unrealistic to manage even with proper medical support. (So many overlapping, environmental, situational, medical, life triggers... so many triggers not on this list and still more unknown triggers)
THIS IS MY LIFE! THERE IS NO CURE.
They're are only underfunded small individual research/studies. They have not found a cure. We don't have proper support and thus we suffer. Look at this link ... the lack of information
https://rarediseases.info.nih.gov/diseases/6230/cyclic-vomiting-syndrome
I SUFFER.
My disadvantages have been continually coming to light. My realization I likely won't be able to achieve basic life milestones has been heartbreaking.
Medically assisted suicide is easily achievable even in even minor cases of CVS. While there is little to no support and even less accessibility.
What options do those with this disease have?
Suffer or give up ...
I'd also like to finally note the journey to diagnosis is horrendous. Doctors diagnose cyclic vomiting syndrome based on family and medical history, a physical exam, pattern of symptoms, and medical tests. Your doctor should perform medical tests to rule out other diseases and conditions that may cause nausea and vomiting.
-add on the factors of age, ethnicity, gender, life style, fashion choices, preconceived assumptions ... the list goes on ... the journey to diagnosis often feels unbearable-
If you have read this please comment, I need some validation.

In Cleveland and beyond researchers begin to unravel the mystery of long COVID-19 - cleveland.com
Eerily similar to HIV
To be clear, McComsey isn’t suggesting that the viruses themselves are similar. Coronaviruses are not retroviruses like HIV, nor are they sexually transmitted like HIV. But it’s the way they make the people they infect sick that caught her attention. It hides in the body and continues to wreak havoc in the various organ system by driving inflammation and disrupting the immune response.
“HIV patients don’t die from the virus itself. They die from immune activation – from the high levels of inflammation that causes cancer, heart disease, liver and kidney disease,” she said.
“The only reason we cannot cure HIV is because the virus hides where the HIV drugs can’t go in. So it continues to fuel this high inflammation. That’s why somebody like me who has been studying HIV for the last 20 years found that COVID is extremely similar to HIV. It’s a virus that produces a lot of inflammation. We see a lot of conditions that are known to stem from inflammation, and now we have some evidence that it persists in different organs.”
McComsey is referring to various published research papers that suggest the SARS-Cov-2 may linger in various organ tissues long after nasal swabs and blood tests come back negative.
researchers have found that although one’s risk of developing long COVID increases with the severity of the initial infection, people can and do develop long COVID even after infections that were asymptomatic or considered mild.
... vaccination dramatically reduces a person’s chances of developing long COVID. A fully vaccinated individual is five times less likely to continue to have any symptoms or ill-effects three months after their initial infection compared to someone who has not been vaccinated. And that, said McComsey, makes a strong case for continued vaccination. “I’m not afraid of getting acute COVID,” she said. “I’m worried about Long COVID.”
...researchers have discovered that patients with long COVID generally have symptoms that fall into three categories or phenotypes: fatigue, neurocognitive symptoms such as brain fog or headaches, and cardiovascular symptoms such as shortness of breath, heart arrythmias, exercise intolerance, and blood clots. Patients may have more than one type, and some also have symptoms like constipation, diarrhea, or loss of taste and smell that don’t seem to fit neatly into one of the three groups.
One explanation for the different groups of symptoms is the lingering presence of the virus in specific tissues, where it presumably continues to reignite an inflammatory response.
For example, someone who has headaches or brain fog may have a virus that resides in their brain tissue, whereas someone with cardiovascular symptoms may have virus present in the heart, lungs or vasculature. And a chronically heightened immune response and widespread inflammation throughout the entire body may partially explain why so many – more than 50% of Long COVID sufferers---experience the devastating fatigue.
Read the rest of the article: the RECOVER study is looking for participants (anyone can join, even without LC) and will be testing treatments in coming months.

Chronic Inflammatory Diseases are the Number 1 cause of sickness and death in the world!  In fact, more than 50% of ALL deaths can be attributed to inflammation related diseases such as heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes, arthritis, kidney and liver diseases, and more.
Proudly formulated by one of the world's top immunologists, Dr. Heather Volpp, LiveGood’s Factor 4 is the first and only Inflammation Management supplement formulated with 4 of the world’s most powerful anti-inflammatory ingredients; Fish Oil, Turmeric, Coenzyme Q10, and Garlic, to help you CONTROL and even REVERSE inflammation!
"Too many doctors and health practitioners prescribe medication to address symptoms, but that doesn't fix the underlying root of those symptoms.  And instead of making the patients healthier, medication often creates new health challenges that didn't previously exist.  My primary goal is to help my patients with natural healing, rather than medication.  That starts with high quality supplements that help manage the cause of many of those issues - inflammation.  We developed Factor 4 because there was no product on the market that has what I feel are the 4 most powerful anti-inflammatory natural substances on earth.  Until now, I've been recommending 3 different supplements to my patients to do what they can now get just by using Factor 4.  I'm very proud of this product and make sure all my patients are taking it daily." - Dr. Heather Volpp
