Do you have any headcanons for Amy? 🤔

Already as a child, Amy was very insecure and quiet. This lasted almost her entire life. She was always very shy and insecure with herself and her body, she barely spoke. But you saw Amy drawing always and everywhere. No matter where she was, she had paper and a pencil with her. While others spoke, she expressed her thoughts and feelings with painting. Anyway, she was never completely satisfied with herself, she was too self-critical and cautious, she had a hard time loving herself. But this changed a little when she found two friends during the first semester at the college. One of them was a budding photographer and he immediately saw the beauty in Amy. It took a long time to convince Amy to let him take photos of her. But when she saw the first photos, and also heard others raving about them, she gained some confidence and learned to love herself a little more. She could never completely abandon her old behavior but a small piece of her soul had reassembled. But it wasn't enough in the end..

Do you think it was planned that Jake would be such a big character and a love interest? I kinda have the feeling that also the "I love you" at the end never was planned but when they saw all the fanfictions, ideas, pictures, fanarts and so on, they decided on a different way with his character. It's just a feeling I have. 🤔

Uhh, that's a good question. I think it depends. That Jake will be one of the main characters was probably clear from the beginning, after all, he is the one who can best support the case. And also especially because he’s Hannah’s brother.

But whether Everbyte thought he would be so popular and also such a big love interest; I think it depends on whether Everbyte knew that "this world" exists. So I mean falling in love with fictional characters and stuff, I think people who aren’t can’t really imagine it. Of course, I can only talk about what I think, but I have to say, no, I don’t think Everbyte expected Jake to become so popular.

I think they expected it, but not that it would be so extreme. Everbyte themselves says that Duskwood was their last attempt to create a game and they only created characters with which they would like to hang out. So I think it was kind of planned but not to the point where we are now.

I think, except the general story around Hannah was really not so much planned and it was looked at what the community wishes and wants. I think another sign of this is that we can’t bond with any character as closely as we can with Jake.

So this probably only developed when it became clear how popular Jake is and how much he is really loved. Whatever it was, I’m glad it happened. And if Everbyte has really focused on what the community said, then I am also incredibly grateful. :)

Red: Of course he does. Diving or no diving, she's cute and he wants attention.
