Morrigan-Sims's Random CAS Challenge - D&D Edition

After seeing @wildmelon and @birdietrait's random CAS challenges, I had the idea of making my own. And what better way to make a random challenge than by using actual dice? And what better way to use dice than to play d&d? So here we are.

Grim Reefers Server December CAS Challenge — This month, we made a Dungeons & Dragons party!

Deira prides herself in the variety of magical goods she trades at the shore between those who dwell below the surface of the water and those who are locked above. Though she's what the other aquatic elves consider a "land walker" and enjoys learning as much as she can about all cultures, she still struggles to pick up surface languages. She was once chosen as one of the rare spellcaster sea elves to dedicate her life to clerical magic, but for reasons unknown she never completed her studies. As a trader, she spends more time away from her clan than most elves. She, however, rarely shares the private details of her own life and prefers the exchange of goods instead of spoken language.

None of the existing CAS (Create-a-Sim) challenges truly resonated with me, and the ones that did, I had already completed. So, I decided to create my own challenge, combining my love for The Sims 4 with my passion for D&D! There is CC Suggestions List at the bottom!

anyway have some "you should play as Cadash" propaganda (below the cut bc it got longer than I thought it would)

The Textual Stuff:

you get a decent enough explanation why you are in the story in the first place - you are a Carta dwarf and the Carta has been selling lyrium to both sides in the mage/templar war both in order to profit from the conflict and in order to protect themselves from either side, you are at the Conclave to do some market research so to speak

you get some dwarf specific lines early on in the game that can work instead of the underground knowledge perk, these also establish a Cadash inky as somewhat shady but absolutely cunning too

the Descent dlc also establishes Cadash as well-educated on dwarven lore and they can even more or less keep up with Valta when it comes to translating ancient dwarven texts

the game tells you that you are from Ostwick but you worked all over the Free Marches, you can also establish what exactly you did for the Carta beyond lyrium smuggling and collecting protection money, whether you have been to Orzammar (Cadash gets really smug about it in the Descent dlc, it's great, they can be such a rascal at times) and how many times did you go, if you believe in the Stone or not (the latter also comes with a voice line that implies that Cadash has Stone Sense)

The Descent dlc also establishes that the Cadashes were looking for Shale and their methods were... ugly about it (that is why they got exiled) - as Valta puts it the Cadashes were feared even before they joined the Carta

The Contextual Stuff aka the Stuff the Game Implies but I Really Wish They Did Something with It gdi:

the Cadashes are linked to the Cad'halash and by extension to ancient elves - after Arlathan fell a bunch of elven refugees were taken in by the dwarves of Cad'halash - what are the chances that the descendant of these dwarves ended up having to clean up after Solas' fuckups again

dwarves are cut off from the Fade but Cadash gets linked to it via the Anchor, they dream and they are conspicuous to spirits and demons (dwarves are usually ignored by them)

Cadash gets kicked out of the Carta bc they're too famous

surface dwarves are not included on the Wall of Memories which gives the whole "how will history remember you?" subplot a different flavor

all in all there is an ongoing sense of alienation bc not only is Cadash cut off from their immediate past and present (only to be linked to the far more distant past instead), their very nature is forcibly changed
