There's SO MUCH in Mina's first brief letter and cleverer people than I are already on Tumblr talking about such things

But I just wanna take a moment to reflect that "two-pages-to-the-week-with-Sunday-squeezed-in-a-corner" planners/diaries/journals have been around for over a hundred years, and for just as long people have been commenting on how that's not very much space to write in.

It's a bit like Jonathan's Kodak. We think of the past as such a different place, but some things carry. We don't throw everything out and start anew every twenty years. It is one of my favorite parts of reading old novels.
