brain update: weekend mode activated. MY weekend, 'cause, service industry life. 😓💪🏻 synaptic storms cleared- mostly. dopamine levels stabilizing- I think? still running through cognitive mazes & emotional feedback loops… but i'm charting new neural paths— even if some nights, the cognitive chaos has a stronger pull than the lull of slumber. Too tired to sleep some nights... the exhaustion is real and these two days off couldn't have come sooner. and... yeah. You're still in the neural archive. anyway. i lived, laughed, dissociated. 🌀 i’m healing. i’m spiraling. i'm making mean old fashioneds. i’m romanticizing brain fog again. it’s the weekend and i’ve got unresolved trauma, a half-charged phone, the purple bags of exhaustion as my newest eye enhancer, and 7 tabs open on grief.

but hey. the vibes are moody. the music’s loud. 🎶 and the neurons are firing (somewhere). so let’s call it growth.

Real talk? I've been running on caffeine, cortisol, and cosmic fumes lately. Between the shifts, synapses, and sudden existential spirals mid-bartend, this neural rave bae has been burned out but still blooming. 💅🏼

Mental health? Fragile but glittery. ✨being gently duct-taped together✨ Work hours? Criminal. Glow-up? Glitching, but in progress. Tumblr blogs? Almost done, I swear. Loading… slowly but neuro-surely. But trust me—I haven’t forgotten.

Sometimes, you just have to charge in, shouting your name, and embrace the chaos.

And, Sometimes you have to be AFK, come back, and charge in like your synapses are on fire. No plan. No prep. Just pure neurochemical conviction.

🧠 Neuro Fun Fact #1: Your prefrontal cortex (the part that handles logic and planning) is notoriously slow to mature. That’s why young brains are more prone to yelling "LEROOOOY JENKINS!" and less prone to making PowerPoints first. "What do you think Abdul, can you give me a number crunch?" Your brain isn't fully developed until around age 25, particularly the prefrontal cortex, which governs planning and impulse control. This means younger individuals are more prone to spontaneous decisions—like, say, rushing into battle without a plan. "Oh God, he just ran in."

🧠 Neuro Fun Fact #2: Your brain generates enough electricity to light a 25-watt bulb. That split-second “let’s do this” moment? So, when you're feeling that surge of inspiration to act boldly, it's literally electric. Yeah. That’s literal neural lightning. ⚡️

Norepinephrine = tunnel vision activated

I was busy thinkin’ ‘bout…

boys I made up in my head, boys I ghosted on accident, and boys who smelled too good to trust. Boys with blue eyes, collared shirts, and boys that make me laugh.

Don’t get me started on the collared shirts, but hey. I’m not dating- I’m collecting characters for my emotional novella.

It’s giving “A Woman of Paris Vibes” (Charlie Chaplin), too. Did you know this was his first attempt at “straight dramatic subject matter?” A man of many talents, he composed, directed, wrote, produced, edited, starred in, and edited the music for most of his films.

He became- and remained- a worldwide icon, largely due to his screen persona of “The Tramp.” Chaplin is considered to be one of the most important and influential forces within the filmmaking industry.

And- I must say, I’m not typically a fan of black and white OR silent films. But, without fail, Charlie always manages to crack me up. One of my faves- “The Gold Rush”
