Was watching Babylon with my dad when I got jumoscared by Brad Pitt and mesathinks that if the fucker wanted a "serious" movie about F1 instead of Talladega Nights- F1 version, his only real alternative was NOT making a shitty self-insert adaptation starting the current grid (who will probably suck at acting, let's face it), he should have done a balls to walls movie about the frankly disgusting streams of money and corruption of the F1 world, basically Babylon- F1 version, but I understand the FIA would have never allowed that. And also Brad Pitt is not Damien Chazelle.

Damien as the crowned prince of the eighth circle of hell knew there was a lot expected of him when his dads eventually decided to step down from the the throne and give him a shot. His dads were incredibly supportive of all his pursuits he they drag or murder, though one thing Damien knew they wouldn’t be as approving of about him was his interest in Jade. Not for any class related reasons, his own fathers were of different classes when they fell in love, but mainly because compared to the LaVey versions of fun, she was lame as hell. They were fine with him being friends with her and had said nothing negative about her to his face, though he couldn’t shake the feeling his fathers would be disappointed in him if he did tell them how he truly felt about her. He met up with her in the evening most times, the earth would crack open, just enough for him to walk out of before closing back up and today was no different. He didn’t know much about the woods or nature survival in general, but she did, and that was something he very much needed for their meetup location, a large grove of trees, secluded and separate. “Jade! Jade are you out here,” Damien asked in a loud whisper that was almost louder than his normal speaking voice, looking around the dark trees to see if he could spot her.

Plot: Damien is a knight from a seemingly noble house hired to protect your muse/ be her sworn shield (if GOT/ASOIAF verse). However unbeknownst to your muse & her family, he is actually a spy for a rebel group that wants to bring down her evil/dictatorial father. ( Bonus twist : one of her brothers un-alived his brother back in the past ) . Thus he is full of hatred for her family all except her whom he has unexpectedly secretly fallen in love for. Open to: princess / very high-ranking noble lady , age 21+

I was cringing a little at the idea of a RAD Bouquet Baby. I just couldn't imagine Rilla or Arum scaling back their work enough in order to be parents... But then I realised that Damien is in a good position to take on the role of a more full-time caregiver. Yay three parenting adults!

The only thing giving me pause now is that I really can't see Rilla being pregnant. It's a hugely energy and time intensive process that, as I've said above, I couldn't imagine her choosing over her work.

We can assume that she has a secret (both her and Arum being shifty when confronted with keeping secrets) and, in this thought experiment, the secret is Impending Parenthood but -- unless the Petrichorous deigned to leave them a germinating seed or egg that only Rilla is aware of -- I don't really see any way around [Arum voice] mammalian gestation.

If this is the way the podcast is going, I'll be really interested to see how the storyline plays out!

Maybe I have to reread the book again, but I feel like there were times where he was overly pessimistic/dry in order to avoid talking about his feelings and I feel like irl that would be such an ick for me. While reading the book, I didn't really care, but looking back I feel like it would be kind of annoying imo
