Sleepy Headcanons

Dan Heng+naps is one of my favorite combinations so I wrote some of my blurbs

Dan Heng often gets nightmares and everyone on the crew is worried. He obviously says it's fine but it's not. But he has a very 'peculiar' way of avoiding nightmares...

His method is to, surprise surprise, just not sleep. He keeps on working for as long as his body can manage until he physically can't stay awake anymore. The crew knows about this and has told him to take care of himself but he hasn't really changed his ways. (seriously boy wtf are you doing?)

That's when you came along and you somehow have a way of forcing him convincing him to get some rest. So now he doesn't sleep unless 1 of the 3 things happens:

he just passes out when sitting down somewhere. Like somewhere on the archive room floor or on the Astral express' extra comfy sofas or really just any type of chair.

he's sick or injured or is being forced to rest by the crew. He's lying down and probably on some sort of medication or painkiller that's making him sleepy so he might as well sleep, right?

you force him to. You have to take him by hand, basically drag him to his "room", make him lie down on his "bed", make yourself comfortable next to him and just cuddle the poor boy to sleep.

He tries to resist, obviously, but you don't give in. He needs to get some rest and if you have to forcibly make him do that, with cuddles and head scratches, then so be it.

He sometimes acts annoyed or inconvenienced or says that he has better things to do than do this, but he almost purrs when you massage his scalp to help him fall asleep. Terrible liar.

Makes you promise him that you'll wake him up in half an hour. You agree as your hand rubs relaxing circles on his back. The next thing he knows is waking up, looking at the clock then back at your long-asleep figure in his own arms. It has been 4 hours. He has wasted 4 hours.
