the rough beginnings of a new au! if you wanna hear me yap about my ideas (nothing set in stone just yet), it'll be under the cut along with the full page spread

ideas:

the DCA are a trio of lion dance performers, where Sun and Moon are the dancers and Eclipse is the one-man band

Sun and Moon alternate who is the head and who is the tail. When Sun is the head, their routines are more artful and they show off their kung-fu techniques. Whereas when Moon is the head, their routines are more playful and they engage with the audience more.

Eclipse has 4 arms to play the drums, the cymbals, and the gong. (maybe he has more than 4 arms? sometimes there needs to be more cymbals)

characters:

Eclipse is the gentle anchor of the trio. He acts as the mediator for Sun and Moon.

Sun is the sassy theater kid, who's always insisting they practice more to get the routine right. ("Mm-mm! Once more. From the top, With talent.")

Moon is the mischievous little gremlin. The performances give him an outlet, but he's just as mischievous out-of-costume as he is in-costume.

Y/N, the lion handler and, therefore, the DCA's handler (maybe they inherited the troupe or the kung-fu school?)

mmmmmmaybe someone else? i dunno.

dunno if this will be a full AU with a story and everything, but it's a cute idea

“Come here” william tells you, the harsh tone in his voice indicating that he’s not in the mood for naughtiness or any kind of disrespect. “I have something for you”.

So you just simply obey, not saying a single word, just watching as he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a pretty pink collar with a leash. And for a moment, you don’t really understand why he has something like that, but then you realize that he’s gonna make you wear it.

“I hope you like it, i chose it just for you”. He speaks while putting the collar around your neck, tight enough for you to feel the pressure on your throat.

“It’s pretty” you say with a smile on your face, really liking the color and the little rhinestones that decorate it. But what you like the most, is to feel so submissive and completely under his control.

Once william is done adjusting it, he clips the leash to the metal ring and pulls on it, testing the resistance and how you react to your lack of freedom. But, to his surprise, you’re more comfortable with it than he expected.

Then, he firmly grabs the leash and makes you walk behind him through the dark hallways of his corporative building, soon entering a meeting room. It’s completely empty, but by the large table and multiple seats you can tell that you won’t be alone for long.

“I have a meeting with my directive members and a few inversionists” he informs you. “And you’ll stay here with me, beneath the table, and if you make a single sound there’ll be consequences, you hear me?”

“Mhm” you just nod, not really wanting to hear old men discussing business during hours, but you are willing to prove how obedient you are. So you surely can manage your boredom and behave well, don’t you?

“That’s it, good girl” william gives you a little smile and caresses your cheek with his knuckles, a soft gesture that you receive with pride.

Later, when he takes a seat on his leather chair, you crawl under the table and sit by his feet, getting slightly aroused when you hear just how authoritative his voice sounds. But as the time goes by and the meeting grows tedious, you start to get tired.

So you end up taking a nap on the floor, and none of the other men suspect anything…

for 6 months i couldn't sleep: based off one of my favorite movies, fight club (1999). specifically based on the narrator of the story who suffers from insomnia bcs i too have insomnia and it's a very trippy experience.

hell is a teenaged girl: seems self-explanatory

i am the shadows: based on robert pattinson's batman from the batman (2022). its basically just an emo playlist for emo batman.

i don't feel...well: based off the movie pearl (2022) bcs it changed me. this is mostly based off the monologue that pearl does near the end of the film.

i fell in love with a war: based off the song 'a pearl' by mitski. basically for the girls who feel like they've never been normal and their love language is violence/conflict

if you love me, keep it to yourself: based off the songs 'vacillator' by ethel cain and 'i love you' by billie eilish. it's a collection of songs that are based off of the feeling of not wanting people to love you because you know you will disappoint them eventually or it will be ruined in some way.

i just...i wished that you liked me: based off ladybird (2017). if you have mommy issues and are scared of growing up, this is the playlist for you.

i just want so badly to be rid of you: based off of the australian teen tv series, dance academy (2009), and the main relationship between christian and tara. if you don't watch the series, it's also just a sad breakup playlist.

i knew he wanted cool girl: based off of amy dunne from gone girl (2014). basically a playlist for when your fed up being a woman in a man-dominated society but in a barely suppressed female rage type of way.

i'm a liability: based off the song 'liability' by lorde. for those who feel like they are too much.

i'm fine: you're experiencing visceral all consuming rage but you're trying to do it in a pretty and aesthetic way

meet me in montauk: based off clementine and joel from the movie eternal sunshine of the spotless mind (2004) and their relationship.

mirrorball: based off of the song 'mirrorball' by taylor swift. In the song, she compares herself to a reflective disco ball that reflects all the personalities around her but when the light is off her she's just there. i relate deeply to this idea and this playlist has a bunch of songs that i feel work with this idea. but i've also added some songs onto it that reflect that feeling of anxiety that goes with being a mirrorball bcs you're scared that other people will eventually realize that you're just reflecting. and songs that show the jealousy that comes from looking at other people who seem to just be naturally magnetizing.

mother and child have crazy beef: based off the movie mother (2020) but if you have mommy issues, this playlist is for you.

my year of rest and relaxation: based off the book of the same name because i read the book recently and unfortunately it did not convince me that i don't need a year of rest and relaxation myself.

narc crash: playlist based off the song 'brand new city' by mitski where she says "if i gave up on being pretty i wouldn't know how to be alive". a "narc crash" is basically when someone with npd's grandiose idea about themselves is shattered and they go into a deep depression bcs they've basically lost their sense of self. so the song 'brand new city' kind of reminded me of that experience and how it feels to be so hopelessly depressed but still desperately clinging on to a persona bcs you still want people to like you.

nick dunne: playlist from the perspective of nick dunne from gone girl (2014)

the night we met: songs that clay jensen from 13 reasons why would relate to or enjoy.

no alarms and no surprises: based on the song 'no surprises' by radiohead bcs that song reminds me of how much i wish life was just simple and quiet.

or maybe i was just a girl, interrupted: basically hell is a teenaged girl all over again but with slightly different songs and it's loosely based on daisy from girl, interrupted (1999)

overworked & underpaid: playlist for those who were born to slay but forced to work and study

i know we talk about robo fucking all the time but what about robo romance? what about taking a robot for a nice walk through nature and seeing who can say the most facts about a certain species? what about giving them small at home repairs every now and again and unscrewing their panels with the same amount of tenderness as one would brushing one's cheek? what about slow dancing with them to songs from your culture and theirs as you simply take in the moment to watch as your fingers lock with their digits, as your hand cups so perfectly around their waist as if you were made to hold it? what about laying down with them, their hand over your heart as it feels your heart beat and your ear to their chest as you hear electricity running through them? what about domestic robot love?
