Fabulous! I love the name, it's very creative. And far less intimidating than studios with names like Epic Pain Needle Hell or what have you. I don't have anything in mind yet, I was wondering if you'd be open to a custom piece? I could just tell you some flowers I like and you could draw something up? Do you do that or am I being silly and presumptuous?

What's crazy is that Barristan has the character development that people pretend Jaime has but because he supports Dany and doesn't spend all of his page time talking/thinking about how evil Targaryens are, it gets ignored

dani was tuning her guitar for the third time just to have something to do with her hands, stealing glances across the stage. she strummed a few idle chords, soft and slow, letting the sound drift lazily into the empty arena. “you know,” she called, flashing a crooked grin as their eyes met, “if you keep looking at me like that during soundcheck, i’m gonna start thinking you actually like my playing.” it was half a joke, but her smile faltered for just a beat, enough to show there was more under the surface. the shared looks in dressing room mirrors, fingers brushing in green room hallways, the way her voice softened when she said dani’s name. flicking the amp off with the heel of her boot, dani slung the guitar over her shoulder and crossed the stage with practiced ease, stopping just shy of too close. “if you’re not dead on your feet after this, you wanna hang out? Could use some fresh air, maybe a walk, maybe just a hotel balcony and shitty beer from room service.” she said with a little shrug of her shoulders, trying to keep her cool. “you in?”

It should’ve been more surprising that Enzo Barone was dead — but honestly? That wasn’t the part that had Salvador scratching his head. The second he saw his father’s body sprawled out on the floor of the Manor, surrounded by the rest of the council, he figured Enzo was either already gone or wouldn’t be far behind. Proof of life or not, Salvador knew a ghost when he saw one. If he wasn’t in the room with the others, it was only a matter of time. But Camila Barone? Killing her own father? That’s where the story lost him. And it had nothing to do with allegiance. Cami could be cruel, sure, but she wasn’t careless. She wasn’t dumb. And stabbing her own father to death on the deck of a yacht, in the middle of a party full of witnesses? That wasn’t just messy, it was practically suicidal.

“What I don’t understand is—why now?” Salvador remarked, voice low. “Why kill Enzo Barone now and force a council vote?” He sat back in the teak chair on Emil’s deck, sunlight catching on the rim of his wine glass as he swirled the deep red liquid with absent focus. His sunglasses were pushed just low enough to allow for that unmistakable look — pointed, calculating. Sal had spent the past few days trying to piece it all together, but the logistics weren’t adding up. Timing was off, motives murky -- and he hated that. Turning his gaze to Emil, Sal studied his cousin for a moment. “What do you think?” he asked, like a challenge hidden in curiosity. “About all of it. What we’ve got in front of us.” He wasn’t trying to test Emil, not exactly. But pushing him a little? Seeing how his mind moved under pressure? That was tradition by this point. And plus, maybe it would give him some insight he wasn't considering.

I want you guys to understand that Viserys and Dany, in the mind of Robert and Stannis, were kind of ok. They were left with carers in a non-Valyrian affiliated city, a host that could use them well even! Marriage into the Iron Bank? Educating them as anti-slavers? Both of these were not only possible but the most likely. And if not, merchants of which there are several would no doubt treat them well to get royal blood on their lines. When Dany gets married to Drogo, they picture Viserys using his sister as a power grab, it is weird to marry your sister off so young, but they picture her educated and dowagered.

And this would have been their lives if Doran was not so cautious that he left them uncared for with a sick man who did not understand Essos politics at all. Not blaming the man wholly, though his inaction keeps leaving the ones under his care unprotected more than once, it was a tragedy of errors on many different fronts but. Never did they imagine a former prince would end so low. Much less his baby sister. I don't think they could have legally helped if they could even they were outside their kingdom?

Hi ! I have question, not too sensitive I hope...since this is a very pro Aegon III blog, could you explain to me why you love him so much ?

I've always struggled to love/understand the character, like yes, he seems nice overall, he's pretty and quiet (though the beautiful melancholic ones have never done it for me *looking at you Rhaegar*), he went through lots of trauma, and his relationship with Daenaera is cute, but nevertheless i've always found Viserys II and even Jace more pleasant and competent.

Like what i love about the most about Aegon III is that he's the son of Rhaenyra and Daemon, but that's not exactly a personality trait (well, it could be considering his parents, but you know what i mean).

Maybe there's something I'm missing about him (or maybe I'm just not receptive to this kind of character), so could you pretty please explain to me what is so great about him so that I might hopefully start to enjoy him as much as you do ? :)

I would like to start by saying that I don't really see the point in trying to convince anyone to like X or Y character. I certainly hope that people have enough of their own opinion to go by that and not by what someone else thinks or what by others like.

What is the problem of you not linking Aegon III?

I personally see none. I would also argue that you don't have to like Aegon III just because he was Daemon and Rhaenyra's son. For instance I like Corlys and Rhaenys yet their children are as bland as oatmeal and have 0 personality. I won't like them only because of who their parents are, much less make up traits and a personality George couldn't be bothered to give them.

We don't have to like every character. I myself have many that do nothing for me - many from Daemon and Rhaenyra's line - and that I struggle to understand what others might like about them. We are all different and to each their own. I am a firm believer that as long as we stay in our lanes, don't make sh:t up to try and prove a point (headcanons are not the same as canon), and don't harass anyone over their tastes, we don't owe anyone an explanation about why we like or don't like a character.

Now, as to why I like Aegon III, and what I think is so great about him, I believe canon explains itself much better than my own simple words could. I could transcribe everything written, however, since my time is limited and it has been over a month since my last update, I will give you three quotes, spoken by Aegon III himself that not only prove that he was very much Daemon and Rhaenyra's son, but also his own person, one with empathy, and with a little bit of light and fire left to him, even after all the darkness he endured. That an a tiny scene that people sleep on ;) this was a boy every inch worthy of being named after Aegon the Conqueror.

Just as a small note, none of this is to make you like him, it is intended to answer the question of what makes me like him and I think these quotes and the small moment speak for themselves. Alas, I am biased.

"I shall," King Aegon said. "You are sitting in my chair." (Fire and Blood, pg. 704)

"There will be no progress," the king declared, as he was seated. "I will not spend a year upon a horse, sleeping in strange beds and trading empty courtesies with drunken lords, half of whom would gladly see me dead if it gained them a groat. If any man requires word with me, he will find me on the Iron Throne." (Fire and Blood, pg. 704)

"I mean to give the smallfolk peace and food and justice. If that will not suffice to win their love, let Mushroom make a progress. Or perhaps we might send a dancing bear. Someone once told me that the commons love nothing half as much as dancing bears. You may call a halt to this feast tonight as well. Send the lords home to their own keeps and give food to the hungry. Full bellies and dancing bears shall be my policy." (Fire and Blood, pg. 704)

"The blood drained from the queen's cheeks when she beheld the bodies, but young Prince Aegon was the first to realise what they meant. "Mother, flee," he shouted, but too late." (...) "When Prince Aegon snatched up Ser Harrold's sword, Ser Alfred knocked the blade aside contemptuously." (Fire and Blood, pg. 540)

This was the last place Dani wanted to be, after all, she'd left the relationship for a reason. A shitty reason, but a reason nonetheless. She'd felt like her and Rhys were getting too serious, and she was too afraid that he'd be interested in taking the next step and propose, so she left. She probably should have reached out and explained herself, and she absolutely should have reached out when she'd taken the pregnancy test and it was positive and she definitely should've reached out when she'd made the wild decision to keep the baby. But no, she'd never reached out any of those times she should have.

Instead she'd been raising their child Raelynn by herself, and doing a pretty damn decent job if she did say so herself. But at 3 years old, Rae had started asking about her dad, and like a cruel twist of fate, Dani was planning a wedding back in the town that Rhys still lived. Rather than accidentally run into him, she figured it was better to meet him on her own terms, despite how desperately she didn't want to. The hand that wasn't holding Raelynn's knocked on the door, and she silently prayed for no answer, but she wasn't so lucky as the door opened. God, how was it possible that he looked even better than he had when they were together.

Her lower lip instantly darted between her teeth. "Uh, hey Rhys..." she started, not able to get much more out than that before the little brunette at her feet was peeking out behind her legs. "Who are you?" she piped up.
