#TransformationTuesday When I became a Team Beachbody Coach back in 2013 it was because I had a transformation of health, weightloss, food habits and mindset ✨. Yes there were ups and downs and things that needed to be changed or shifted. With our challenge groups and support it helped chip away and habits not so good baby steps. What I wanted was something sustainable and easy. Something that was lifelong healthier lasting lifestyle. Now I help make it easier for others who WANT it! What I didn’t realize that would it would change my Life not just from wellness and weightloss. It would bring amazing people who are now friends (like extended family) into my life to help bring awareness to so many causes for things they fight for everyday. So in case you don’t know one of the charities is near and dear to my heart is 💜🎗 Team Daniella's Foundation in September is childhood cancer awareness month. Less than 4% of all money is raise for cancer research goes the kids which is very sad. Back in 2015, Myself and a bunch of other people from social media help create an amazing volunteer project for Miss Daniela. She was 2 years old at the time with cancer. Her wish ✨ was to have a germ free outdoor 🌱 play space when she wasn’t in the hospital getting treatments. #DaniellasWish We brought together so many amazing people to make that dream come true! It truly showed me when people come together for a cause you can do anything! So my friend shared a post the other day “Drink water and often”. Reminded me that I haven’t shared anything in a while about one favorite subjects ... It’s suggested you drink half your body weight in water 💦 ounces. I know it’s hard for many people to cut back on their soda 🥤 or sugary drink. 💜🎗 3 years ago I met through Social Media an incredible family going through Neuroblastoma cancer treatments for their 2 year old 🙏 Daniella in Miami Springs, Florida. #DaniellasWish was to have an outdoor play space that was “germ free” for her and her brother to play in when they weren’t at the hospital battling this terrible disease. So a friend of hers Silvia (who’s son died 🙏💙 of the same disease) reached out to a friend of mine through social media to help make her wish ✨ Then together we brought together other friend through social media to help create this space for her. We got donations from all over the USA 🇺🇸, over 400+ people volunteered their time, we raised money to pay for it and got sponsors to donate items. All this from the kindness of people’s hearts ♥️ to help little Daniella at that time w had no idea how long she would be with us 🙏💜. I’m happy to say 3 years later she is NED (no evidence of disease). We need mor people helping others in any way to make a difference in the world or your world. We need to raise the vibe and give back to others. Find someone, something, you are drawn to and give back in some way. It doesn’t have to be on the big scale of our “Yard Crash” and tons of hours of behind the scenes work. I do know that together we can make a difference when you are driven to help. My life is forever changed and grateful for our 💜 friendship. What it had given back to me to help others. Interesting how one place can bring up so many different memories. So today went back to one of the best spots I remembered having breakfast with hubs 💕 in 2008 when we were here for the boat show News Cafe. Cool to pass all the cruise ships 🚢 I have a client sailing on one! 🌴 I remembered them having fruit 🍉 with breakfast and that was before I was healthy eating. (Don’t remember the raisins lol 😣) Back in 2008, I call that the last of the good years Before the market crashed Before the construction ⚡️ market slowdown Before the 2009 hand 🤚got smashed (hubs) Before the 2010 blood clot (hubs) 🙏 That’s when we were living a life of freedom Then stress 😩😣 bills and weight came on to cope. 2013 I decided I had enough of the hard times and wanted to take control back. Tired of saying this is the fattest I’ve ever been and unhealthiest needed a ME change instead to be able to deal with the above top things 💸 Joined a wellness challenge group that isn’t just about weightloss it’s about mindset and lifestyle changes that last. What’s my connection to Miami? I always like to know someone’s story. As a #Travel Advisor, traveling anywhere anytime with almost anyone. I love meeting new people and experiencing cultures. The past few years I had a theme for the year in 2015 I decided it would be the year of “Bev Helping People”. (More so than normal) When I said that I had no idea 💡 what that would actually turn into! 🙌 Everything starts out with a #WISH ✨ then an action. 🙏 Silvia who lost her son 💙🎗 Sal to #Neuroblastoma #cancer he was only 8 years old 😔. She reached out via #Twitter to my friend Ahmad the Original Yard Crasher from #HGTV to help her friend going through cancer treatments for the same cancer Sal had. Daniella at the time she was only 2 years old! 😔 And so it began .... Ahmad from California and I talked and also another friend Duane from VizX Designs in Illinois. Back then we called ourselves #BA4GC (Badasses for good causes) till we went with a more politically correct #SustainableHeroes On the outside to most, we looked Crazy! We weren’t organized like other foundations so we partnered with existing 501c3 and people locally to help make Daniella’s Wish to have a germ free outdoor play space where she could go be a kid when not in the hospital. At that time, we had no idea how much time she may or may not have 🙏 Without #IAmTeamBeachbody Coaching life I would have never had the inner #confidence to be able to help create such and amazing project. Together with many volunteers over 400+ helped bring together people from all backgrounds, financial lives, sponsorships, donations to create a fun safe #outdoor 🌱 playspace for Daniella’s Family and friends. It also helped create lasting lifelong friendships and bonds. So please forgive me if I don’t do drama, negativity or #noexcuses well. Because I know you can do anything you put your ✨ mind and ❤️ heart to! When you do good for others it also makes you feel good! #TBT May 2015 Pacesetters South Africa 🇿🇦 🐘 Ok so Elephants 🐘 were a little to big to cuddle with 😂 close enough too though! These days everyone is so into computers 🖥 it’s good to get outside and experience wildlife in its natural habitat! I remember being on safari 🐯 and one of the people on our Jeep kept complaining about her camera 🎥 and comparing it to another travelers. This was just after I had finished #daniellaswish volunteer projects and was needing some downtime when you are immersed in something you need to recuperate ❤️. Usually I keep my opinions to myself let it go on for a day. Then the next day I was like one more word I’m gonna lose it! So I said to her... did you see the sign in our room?? Something like remember why you are here and take it all in?? I’m like know what that means? (Heart pounding out of my chest because I was speaking up for myself something always working on since I started my wellness journey.). I’m like it means to be quiet, we are tired of hearing you complain about your camera, which is still taking amazing pictures, we all worked extremely hard to be here, I want to hear the 🦅 birds and animals! Just after that we came up on a feast with lions 🦁 and elephants 🐘 on water buffalo. So real and raw. Our #volunteer projects don't end with the project being completed ✅. I feel it's for us to continue to bring awareness to anything we do to help others. #DaniellasWish Helped bring Childhood Cancer Awareness to so many. Kids aren't old enough to have a voice to fight for their rights and their health. It's for their family, friends, doctors and whomever to do for them make lasting decisions which are difficult and are based on their life or death needs. My friend Silvia lost her son to that fight now is an advocate for kids with cancer. I have no idea how she does that! She continues to help other kids so they can have a long life that her son's legacy can live on and hope to change something so that they find a cure for all cancers. 💙🎗💜 My friend Dania who's daughter is sweet Daniella had the same cancer 🎗🙏💜💙 as Sal. She went through enormous amounts of hospital visits with all types of treatments imaginable no one should have to go through. She is a tremendous fighter that gives hope to all going through hard times to fight for your life! It doesn't end with her NED (no evidence of disease). Think of all the chemicals with chemo that helped save her body that have a lasting effect on her life. 💜🎗🙏 Did you know that only 4% of money raised for cancer goes to children's cancer research? How sad! Each month or every few they both have family fun days at the hospitals to get the kids and their families minds off why they are in there. To give a few hours of arts and crafts, food and fun to make them "feel normal". It helps them and also the hospital staff give good vibes to all.
