DP OC Parade, Day 1: Introductions

Meet Donna! Donna is the oldest of the Danny's clones created by Vlad, self-proclaimed "big sister" and the leader of little rebellious bunch of them, who leads her 'family' with an iron hand. She is very protective and caring towards her siblings, but also cunning and manipulative sometimes. Sarcastic, tough, and confident on the outside, deep down, Donna is insecure and envious of her original template, Danny Phantom, and she has a desire to prove that she is better than him. She hates her father with all her soul and dreams of turning his life into hell.

And... better not ask her about the hand. Donna definitely doesn't like to talk about it.

When: March 10th-March 16th 2025

If there’s one thing the Phandom seems to lack, it’s OCs, we’re a creative bunch, so let’s get creative! Show off an OC or make one for the event!

Is your OC a ghost? Are they human? Do they work for the GiW or are they a Casper High student? Who are they? What are they about?

What OCs are accepted: Crossovers, Next Gen, Self-insert, original concept, Ghost fusions, Ghost clones, etc. As long as it's related to Danny Phantom, it's allowed!

Prompt explanations:

Introductions: Give a brief introduction to your OC!

Reverse AU: If your OC is a ghost draw them as a human, if your OC is a human draw them as a ghost! (If they’re a halfa, it’s artist’s pick)

Worst fear: What does your character fear most?

Café or Bar?: If given the choice, which would they prefer to go to? Or is there a secret 3rd option they’d go for?

Fun Fact: Show and tell us a fun fact about your character!

Gender swap: You know the deal, if your character is Non-binary but presents more as masculine/feminine then draw the opposite. If they don’t present as any gender, draw them in their favourite outfit!

Backstory 

⟢ The backstory is based on my personal headcanon and features my OOC AU version of Danny.

Not in the way that people notice. Not in the way that makes them stop and ask what’s wrong.

It wasn’t fast. It wasn’t violent. It wasn’t loud.

It was slow. A quiet kind of fading. The kind that starts with loneliness.

She remembered being a child, bright-eyed and full of wonder, dreaming about the stars while the world around her turned cold.

She remembered laughter that wasn’t meant for her. Life had no reset button, no manual, and definitely no pause option when things got too messy.

She learned early that pain wasn’t always loud.

Sometimes it came in whispers, in the absence of touch, in the way people pretended she wasn’t there.

Sometimes it came when they forced her to move schools, ripping her away from the only friends she had, making her start over again and again and again.

She stopped trying after a while. Stopped believing that anything she built would last. Stopped believing that people meant it when they said they cared.

Her father passed away. And with him, she lost a part of herself.

She didn’t talk about it. She didn’t cry.

She just existed… moving through life like a ghost long before she ever became one.

Until him.

Until Danny.

The boy with messy black hair, tired eyes and the stupid NASA shirt, standing alone at the bus stop like he didn’t belong anywhere either.

She didn’t know what made her talk to him that day. Didn’t know why he looked at her like she was someone worth knowing. Didn’t know why, for the first time in years, she felt alive.

Maybe that’s why she followed him into that lab. Maybe that’s why she didn’t listen to him when she should have. Maybe that’s why… when she reached for the button, she didn’t stop to think about what might happen.

Because deep down, Hailey had always known—

She was never meant to stay human.

Hailey didn’t believe in fate.

If fate were real, she wouldn’t be here—standing on the crumbling edges of a city she no longer belonged to, breathing air she wasn’t sure was even hers anymore.

Five years. Five years since she died.

Five years since she crawled out of that portal, shaking, terrified, her DNA was rewritten by something that never should have existed.

Five years since she last saw him.

Danny.

Or… whatever was left of him.

She wasn’t sure who had changed more—him or her.v

She had spent years running, hiding, trying to make sense of what she had become.

And Danny?

Danny had become something… colder.

Darker.

She saw it the moment he turned to face her, standing there in the ruins of their past, his eyes… dead and empty, his smile too sharp, too… cruel.

He looked at her like she was a ghost.

She supposed she was.

“Well, well.” His voice was nothing like she remembered—low, detached, laced with something almost amused. “Look who decided to haunt… me.”

Hailey’s chest tightened. She hadn’t wanted this. Hadn’t wanted to come back. Not really. Hadn’t wanted to see him like… this.

But there was nowhere left to run.

She had spent so many years pretending she didn’t miss him, pretending that what happened hadn’t broken something inside her.

And now he was standing right in front of her, and all she could think was—

“I thought you were… dead,” she giggled carefully.

Danny laughed.

Not a warm laugh. Not the kind she remembered. This one was cold, detached… unforgiving.

“I am.”

Hailey swallowed hard, her hands curling into fists.

Five years ago, they had been almost everything to each other.

Now?

Just… ghosts and something in between, echoes of who they used to be.

Personality & Traits

Hailey is a vibrant, playful, and compassionate person, but she struggles with deep emotional instability due to past trauma. Her experiences have shaped her into someone who cares deeply for the people she loves, but she also battles inner demons that make her unpredictable at times.

Hailey’s relationship with Danny was complex—he cared deeply for her and felt responsible for what happened. She trusted him more than anyone, but her emotional instability sometimes made their friendship difficult.

DP OC Marching Parade Day 7: Draw Someone Else’s OC

So I am severely late but I was committed to finishing the giant project I took on ambitiously. Due to work, and life things, it prolonged the end result but they came out pretty great! I had small things written down for each person but I can’t find the original paper I wrote these on.

Besides that, I am blessed to be in such a creative community as each of these characters have such unique stories only incredibly people could dream up. The designs, the love and care put into each of them is clearly seen and I am very proud to be among such amazing artists! Please forgive me if your character was butchered, it was my attempt to translate your design into my DP style! I know I missed some so if you participated in the Marching Parade and don’t see your character, let me know! I’d love to take a stab at your kiddo! (NOT LITERALLY).

DP OC parade day one: introduction

Meet Fuyu!

A fun loving mischievous neverborn from the reikai district of the ghost zone! This kitsune has traveled all over the multiverse through natural portal with help of the infimap, lovingly borrowed from Frostbite.

After meeting the great phantom, she followed him and became fascinated by the small town of amity park, so with a quick disguise she became the newest resident! Now she works at a small ghost themed cafe and has an apartment so she can experience a typical life, despite her different ways of life

Some of her more more unique powers include:

Shapeshifting, Ice, telekinesis, portals, pocket dimensions, and she can manipulate reality

Her obsession is writing and it’s not rare to find her writing something in a note book, phone, or computer. But ask her about it and she’ll light up! Quite literally!

Welcome to our third consecutive year of Green With Envy!

Open for first timers and the obsessed, we welcome all skill levels to this art based event. Just like before, the event comes in two parts with a few minor changes to spice up this year's competition.

Anyone Can Enter a Line Art!

Love to line but hate to color? This side is for you! Part one is the slow build up, where artists create this year's line art. Over the course of two months a form will be open and waiting for anyone to drop a Danny Phantom themed line art in. Crossovers welcome! Unlike our previous years, we will be keeping all the 2025 line art a secret until the drop date! 

Color To Compete!

During Part Two of the event, things rev up and turn competitive. If you sign up for this half, you better be ready to color! When the line arts drop, the fighting begins. For those who want nothing more than to go crazy over a brand new, Danny Phantom themed coloring book, this part is for you. The goal is to color as many of the line arts from the first half of the event as physically possible with the rest of your small team. Unlike other DP events, GWE will have 10 whole coloring teams, so expect to get cozy with your new mates while you strategize! 

And when we say strategize, we mean it. >:3 Green With Envy is unique in that the points you earn can be snatched away! How many your team gets depends on when you complete a coloring, how you complete a coloring, and to whom the line art was assigned. (Don't worry, you can color any line art, including unassigned ones!) Trickery is just as important as the speed and skill of your artistry here! Drop the ball and your points just may be Poached right from under your pencil tips!

Hey folks, we'd like your opinions on the idea of Phic Phight being it's own server, instead of being part of the DP Fanfic server. We also have a google form so you guys can expand on your answer if you'd like, but also give us any general suggestions, comments or feedback related to the upcoming Phic Phight.

Under the readmore is just some detailed explanations as to why some of the changes.

What would happen if we made a Phic Phight server?

Phic Phight section of the DP fanfic server will be archived from general view. NOT DELETED. Archived. Six months will be given for people to collect what they want before it gets archived. However, you'd still be able to request temporary access at any time to look/get what you want/need.

Joining the discord will become mandatory for Phic Phight participants. You do not have to stay after Phic Phight, and you can be as active/inactive as you wish.

Better event organization information, since users will be pinged when prompts drop and any other important information. Everybody will get it at the same time.

Since it'd be it's own server, we'd be more willing to expand on and add specific features, channels and bots for Phic Phight events.

What if Phic Phight stayed within the DP Fanfic server?

Phic Phight participants will start taking on full responsibility for checking the Phic Phight tumblr in late March/early April for prompts. Mods will no longer be directly messaging them to people.

Related to the above, but no more extensions based on people not getting their prompts. Extensions will still be offered in situations such as mods releasing prompts late or other situations out of user/mod control that effects Phic Phight.

Not having to join yet another goddamn Danny Phantom discord server.

We will continue making updates and changes in-server as needed.

Google Form, if you'd like to expand on anything or just give general feedback

Why would discord membership be mandatory if we made our own server?

It makes it easier for the mods to coordinate everything and for users to communicate. We can more directly answer questions, clarify confusion, give everybody updates at the exact same time, dedicate our announcement spaces to only phic phight, etc. Users can better connect with their team as well and encourage each other.

A big part of Phic Phight is community, especially since more recent additions have made it a good idea to work with your team to help make sure all prompts are filled. Since we're currently attached to the fanfic server, it felt unfair to require membership, but as our own server, we would operate a bit more similarly to Invisobang. Specifically where we're encouraging more collaboration. We're writing phics for each other as well as for our own personal reasons.

What kind of changes would a Phic Phight server bring?

We'd be more willing to expand and add Phic Phight specific features as users and mods seem fit. Current ideas include:

More writing bots

More phic-phight specific channels to collaborate

Random number generators, so you can roll for a prompt or make decisions based on a randomized number

Hosting phic phight focused events, such as regular sprint nights

This is just the current thoughts, but we're open to more ideas within the google form!

This server would also, in general, make it a lot easier to get information strictly for Phic Phight.

Why are mods no longer going to be sending out prompts list? How will I get my prompts? Why no more extensions?

Phic Phight prompts and teams are always consistently released 2-3 days before April 1st, and Phic Phight always lasts the entire month of April. Meaning, you can expect prompts around March 31st at the LATEST. In recent years, they are always released both in the Fanfic server as well as our official tumblr. In the past, due to tumblr constantly changing how messaging works, general confusion and the amount of participants, it's become too difficult for mods to personally make sure everybody has their prompts list.

It wasn't too bad when we had 30 participants, but now we're often getting 100+ people. That's a lot of people to individually check got prompts. It's just becoming harder and harder to make sure everybody got their list, but since we consistently release them around the same time, we decided that regardless of whether we make a new server or not, it's now going to be YOUR responsibility to check for prompts around March 31st.

Having a server means that we'd just be @ everybody-ing when they drop, versus not having a server, where they will still be posted and pinged role, as well as tumblr. Regardless of whether we make a server or not, we will still post the prompts list to tumblr and have it pinned for easy viewing.

Related, we have extended deadlines if a lot of people did not get their prompts, due to the above mentioned tumblr problem. This change would mean that we basically will not be doing event-wide extensions anymore based on tumblr users getting prompts late, which had been a semi-common past problem. We will still offer extensions in events such as mods releasing prompts late or similar situations

As the year comes to a close, we're reaching the end of the Danny Phantom fandom calendar events. The new year is coming and with it comes a new event.

Valentine's Core Exchange!

VCE is a Secret Santa style Valentine’s Day themed Danny Phantom event! Our goal is to give everyone a loving gift.

How does it work?

The Discord and sign ups will open in December, giving participants time to join and get to know each other. During this phase, we encourage everyone to talk and befriend one another. Sign up forms will be distributed halfway through this portion. Once this is finalized, the Discord will be closed from people joining and we will collect the form information.

Sign ups include what ships you are interested in, whether you want a romantic or platonic ship, whether you'd want to write or create an art piece, and additional information for this process.

Once all forms have been submitted, mods will assign everyone a number. Your number will be how you identify yourself in lists - make sure to not tell anyone your number. We will then share the information collected from the forms with the corresponding number for server members to look through. This is all kept anonymous, so no one knows who they are looking at until we pair you. We will open up claims shortly after that so you can rank the prompts you’d like to create for and which you would not, so you don't get paired with a ship or relationship style you don’t feel comfortable with. We will pair everyone up based on claims and information from sign ups as best as we can. Once this happens, we will send everyone the name and number of their pairing plus the full information of their person.

After claims comes the creation phase! You will have one month to make your piece for this person! Mods will check up on everyone halfway through to make sure everything is on track; we don't want anyone to fall behind. You’re welcome to share tidbits of the work you're doing within the server, but we want everything to be a surprise, so posting full works and who you're making it for isn't allowed.

On Valentine's Day, everyone will post and share their work with each other. There will be a specific tag for the event on Tumblr and a collection on AO3 for the writers. A submission form will be sent out for everyone to put their content so we can create a post containing a spreadsheet that links to all of the completed pieces.

What are the different roles?

When is this?

Sign ups will open in December and the event will end on Valentine's Day. We planned this event out so it wouldn't conflict with any other large events. We welcome artists and writers of any level to participate, as he only requirement is a 1k word minimum for writers.

We will be posting a complete and finalized schedule within the next few days, so please look out for it.

As this is a brand new event, we will have a policy of no NSFW works. We will be posting the event rules and posting guidelines soon along with the schedule, so we advise you to read them when they come out! We want to keep this community and event safe, so we ask that any content stays PG-13, especially with minor aged ships.

Welcome to the Parade!

What is the DP OC Parade event? The DP OC Parade event is an event built specifically around Original Characters made by artists in the Phandom from their love to the show! We know how few of them there are, but hopefully with this event we can spark the imaginations of the talented artists of this community to create characters of their very own!

How does it work? Follow the daily prompts for the week and use the tag DP OC Parade or DP OC Parade Event (with or without the year is fine) and this blog will repost your submission should they be fitting of the rules of the event (see below). These prompts will change from year to year, as this is year 1 we are just testing the waters.

What OCs are accepted into this event? Specifically we're looking for Danny Phantom related OCs, but you may also enter other characters you have created that would fit within the realm of Danny Phantom too! These characters can be ghosts, citizens of Amity Park, self-inserts, anything really! As long as if you were to drop the characters into the show nobody would bat an eye then they're good to go!

Can I use multiple characters for this event? As this is the first time this event is taking place, no. The first and last prompts of this event is meant so you introduce your character and at the end of the event other artists may use that first prompt to pick from any submissions into this event. HOWEVER this rule may change next year depending on how many people may join.

I don't have an OC yet, can I make one and join? Of course! Your character doesn't need to be fully fleshed out before joining this event, they can just be a goofy little blob that needs further development. Maybe this event will get you to want to make more art with them or make them into a more fleshed out character? This event isn't made just for people who have OCs, we want people in this community to make even MORE of them!

Can I draw someone else's OC from outside of the event for the final prompt? No, the last prompt is strictly for participants within this event, this rule may change next year but for now please keep that last prompt solely for those in this event ONLY. You can find OCs to use from the event by searching for the event tag or looking through this blog.

Rules

As with any event, they come with rules, don't let Walker catch you breaking them!

No AI-generated images will be accepted in this event, this event does not approve of AI 'art' and any submissions to the event will not be put through.

Please use YOUR OWN OC in this event and not your friends, this rule may change later but currently we'd prefer it if people made/used their own characters in this event, it's to share your characters. If your friend would like to have their characters used in this event they're welcome to participate. Artists of all skill levels are accepted! ^^

Do not insult or negatively compare anybody else's OC's, these guys were made out of love for the show, we shouldn't be putting down any artist's creations.

Do not make art of any OCs that the creator would not approve of (gore, squicks etc), the last prompt is to draw someone else's OC, don't draw anything someone wouldn't want their character to be in.

No problematic-ship next-gen OCs, I'm talking MinorxAdult / Incest kids etc, ghost fusions are fine.

Do not harass other participants to draw art of your characters for the final prompt, this event isn't just so you can get free art of your OC, it's meant to help you build on your character and appreciate other people's creativity.

WOW HI HELLO IM LATE

I saw someone post about the Danny Phantom OC Marching Parade and I instantly grabbed my stuff- I’m shy of two days now but I really, REEEEALLY wanna show off Hannah.

She’s been my DPOC since the show came out (dear god more than 20 years) and has went through many redesigns. I’m happy with how she looks now!!

Hannah Black is a new student at Casper High, dragged along by her father who got a new job at Axiom Labs. She quickly realizes that Amity Park is some crazy town with ghost attacks nearly every other day. One day, as she is hanging out at her dad's work for a bring your kid to work day, she is attacked by ghostly insects that once attacked Casper High.

Now, born with new ghost powers, she takes a page out of that one guy's book... Invis-O-Bill was his name?, and sets her sights on getting rid of these ghosts once and for all.

(Hannah becomes a part of the integral show in the second season of 'Danny Phantom'.)

Common attributes/symbols: She wears an ocean pendant that reminds her of California. Rather stubborn, developing a wall for emotions since moving from her hometown. Chills out and becomes softer in later seasons.

Common activities/hobbies: Hannah is a gymnast, but spends a lot of her time listening to music and skateboarding around.

Setting: Set in the modern 2000s, around when the show came out.

Additional stuff to keep in mind: She's definitely a tomboy, leaning that way more as she sticks to more pants and shorts. She wears leggings in her ghost form as it is most comfortable and closest she can get to wearing a leotard.
