My piece for the first Danny Phantom event I've ever taken part in, @ecto-implosion ! I felt like our boy Tucker could use some more love, so I drew him in a place he hates. As you do.

The event was an absolute blast, in no small part thanks to @carelisswriting who was a joy to work with and who wrote the most AMAZING fic based on my art! Seriously, please go read it, it's adorable and wonderful and I can't stop smiling and I need everyone to see it.

Welcome to the start of Ecto-Implosion 2024! This is our second year running the event, and we are so excited to have you!

If you haven't heard of us before, Ecto-Implsion is a collaborative event much like our more established sister event @invisobang, where artists and authors work together! But over here, the artists go first, and authors write short fics to go with those artworks!

Before you sign up, make sure to check out our rules and schedule.

When signing up choose your desired role. (You can choose multiple!)

Artist sign-ups will close September 13 at 11:59 pm CDT.

Artists will create a visual or auditory artwork over the course of 2 months - this can be a drawing (traditional or digital), painting, animation/animatic, music piece, and more.

Full requirements can be found in the official rules document.

Even though we ask for your art idea upon sign-up, you are still welcome to join if you don't have one yet! Just say so in the form.

Pinch Hitter sign-ups will close September 16th at 11:59 pm CDT.

Pinch Hitters will be at the ready to hop in and write a replacement fic in the case of an author dropping out.

Pinch Hitters might end up with a very short deadline depending on when they're needed.

Once you have finished filling out the sign-up form, you will receive an invite link to the Discord server. You must be able to join the server in order to participate!! This is important for event communication and announcements. If the link does not work, please DM mods @probably-dead, @hannahmanderr, @half-deadmagicperson or @duchi-nesten for assistance.

Happy @ecto-implosion 2024! This is my 1st time participating in a phandom event with a writer and it was so dang fun!! I got to work with the lovely @anguishedlurker who took my original pitch in a real fun direction! Please do check it out HERE on ao3

After an incident with Box Ghost solicits a fight with Ghost Writer, Ghost Writers out for revenge. And Paulina has a convenient little fanfiction that Ghost writer could use. Now Danny just has to survive it, with a starstruck Paulina in tow.

the @ecto-implosion has been one of the most fun events i've participated in- it's been interesting being on the other side of a big bang (the low lows of waiting and anticipation, the high highs of reading something amazing inspired by your art.) i am so grateful to the mods and everyone who participated for making this event happen!
