Nissan Great Turbulence PART1
This is truly earth-shattering... A ported wagon has appeared. It looks exactly like the inside of the GT-R. The shock has returned!
Autech version
Stagea 260RS
Isn't the contents a GT-R for 4.4 million yen!?
Finally, the Stagea 260RS, with its powerful performance that can beat even a sports car, is an unprecedented super wagon produced by Autech Japan.
The concept is a top of the touring wagon. Of course, the 260RS is worthy of that.
First of all, the exterior is exciting. The front spoiler made exclusively for the 260RS is full of the atmosphere of the ultimate supersport machine. It can be said that the large spoiler, with the large air intake section cut off, directly symbolizes the performance of this 260RS.
The side and rear spoilers are also powerful. A wagon with so many aerodynamic parts has never been seen before.
The specs of 280ps/6800rpm and 37.5kgm/4400rpm are top class among domestic cars. The strut tower bar is also improved.
It could be said that this was the first incident in wagon history. Not just the exterior. Other contents, it can be said that Skyline GT-R was directly ported.
The power unit has a maximum output of 280PS@ 6800 rpm.
RB26DETT with a maximum torque of 54 m/4400 rpm
Equipped with RB26DETT. Of course, it boasts the top power performance among domestic cars.
Of course, there is no lack of footwork. Nissan's specialty electric SUPER HICAS and 4-wheel multi-link suspension are also inherited from the Skyline GT-R. Attesa E-TS is also in good condition. The brake system is also made by Brembo, with 4 pistons at the front and 2 pistons at the rear. Of course, the braking power is also reliable.
The body rigidity has improved significantly from the base car 25RS-FOUR.
First of all, in order to increase the rigidity of the mounting part of the front suspension, a strut tower bar was installed on the front. The rigidity of the body has been thoroughly increased through measures such as a reinforced tunnel stay that connects the front of the left and right body side members and a crossbar on the rear suspension member.
Of course, even if you move your eyes to the cabin, the impact does not change. Up to 10,000 rpm on dedicated sports seats. The lighting of the engraved tachometer meter is amber.
In addition, the center console is equipped with a triple meter, which makes you feel that even though it is ripe, it is not just something.
In addition to Sonic Silver Metallic and Silky Snow Pearl, which are the same body colors as the current Stagea , Dark Blue Issi Black Pearl is also available as a special color for this 260RS.
The power-to-weight ratio is 6.14. The price is 4.4 million yen, but it is not a limited sale, but made-to-order and will be released from November.

Did I literally start crying when I realised Barnes (and probably Carter??) was dead? Yes. Did I cry harder when I realised how little time he had with Cel? Yes. But do I think that in the end he probably had the life he wanted, with people he wanted to spend it with? Yes, and honestly at least Alex let him be okay.

My #1 post of 2022
OK but, TMA entity inspired theme park divided into different sections based on the entities.
If you enter from the main guests, you’ll first see the Eye, which has a dark ride inspired by Jonah Magnus’s house, and a museum of oddities where visitors can give statements.
The Lonely has a forest garden, so big that you could walk for hours and see only your reflection on the lake.
On the opposite side of the lake, every night, the Desolation hosts a firework show that ends in an illusion of setting the lake on fire, and a coaster through the forest as you flee a blaze.
Cutting through the middle of the park, split into two halves, is the Food Corridor.
The front half is both a parent’s dream and their nightmare, themed to the corruption, it’s all unhealthy sweets, doughnuts and the kind of dubious cafe food that makes you wonder if it’s made of plastic, but there’s also loads of stuff about learning about bugs, like a butterfly garden, and a kids coaster called “Moths Flight.”
The second is themed to the Flesh. It sells a lot of meat products (obviously) and is probably sponsored by KFC. There’s probably a few carnival games themed to the bone gardens and stuff, as well as a dark ride about the human body and a shop offering piercings, those plastic body halloween props and bone flower models.
The Hunt and Slaughter share a section, and it definitely attracts a lot of thrill seekers. There’s loads of coasters including one of those duel ones so you’re trying to catch/escape the other track called “beasts” and a kid’s playground with mass games of laser tag, hide and seek and manhunt overseen by staff members.
The Dark and End’s section tends to blend together, featuring a space mountain style ride for the dark, a graveyard dance 4D experience that sells fake death certificates from the End, and special shows on Eclipses. The Dark also has a shooter where you ‘turn off’ the stars.
The Stranger’s section is split across the food corridor, with the small section being more adult. There’s a coaster where the idea is you’re running from a killer clown, and year round 16+ horror maze with a similar premise. The other section is for kids. There’s a two story carousel, a massive circus, a wax museum and a few kid’s coasters. It probably also has a bounce house.
The Vast and Buried are next to each other. On the overlap between the two opposed entities is a dive coaster similar to Alton Towers’ Oblivion, where riders plunge from a vertical drop into an underground section, though both sections last longer than AT’s one.
The Vast has a massive aquarium, one of those spinning swing rides, a log flume and a drop tower.
The Buried has a mine train that really goes underground, a massive sandpit just called ‘DIG’ and a zoo exhibit with mongoose or meerkats where you can walk through the underground part of the exhibit and see the tunnels they did in a large, clear tunnel.
The Web is one of the smaller sections, with only a puppet show that runs twice an hour for twenty minutes, hosted in a theatre that looks like a run down old house on the top of a hill. In the same building is ARACHNID ENCOUNTER, a shooter ride where you shoot spiders.
The Spiral has a maze and hall of mirrors, as well as a downward corkscrew coaster just called ‘spiral’ and some other carnival rides designed to be just vomit inducing.
The smallest section of the park is fenced off, but promises to ‘TORMENT YOU SOON’ and is rumoured to be extinction themed. No one knows much about planned attractions, just the titles: one called meteor people think will be a family coaster and an experience called ‘After Us’ sponsored by the Lukas Corporation.
At the center of the park, flanked by a hotel, is Smirke Square. It hosts a market, impermanent carnival rides, and a large stage. On this stage, every morning at 6 hotel guests can watch the park be opened to a ritual, and every evening at 10 anyone can watch the closing ceremony of a counter ritual that shuts the park down for another day.

PROMPT (because halloween is my BIRTHDAY gotta go with a classic); Eddie/Roland, something with Ghost of Tom Joad OR Night with the Jersey Devil 😈
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRO one and two] I wrote idek how much time ago because it fit and I could. also, I threw a coin and the jersey devil happened so here u go
“People say what,” Roland says, sounding like he usually does when he thinks Eddie’s world is a place full of madmen.
Given the story Eddie’s just told him, admittedly, he’s not completely wrong.
“Uh, that there’s, like, a devil in this area.”
“A devil.”
“Well, of course it’s bullshit,” Eddie says, wondering why the hell he decided that going camping was a thing Roland should try when it came to his world and its customs.
Admittedly, he didn’t decide it. Or better, he did after Roland saw some people doing it in some kinda movie whose title Eddie forgot already and asked clarifications about the entire concept, and he still looked kind of baffled, and so Eddie had thought that hey, the man earned a reprieve from the universe after reaching the darned Dark Tower twenty times, he might as well learn the joys of camping.
Then again, wherever Eddie was living was where he apparently wanted to end up, and it’s not as if Eddie ever went much farther than New York in this life or the previous one, not counting Mid-World of course, which is why the best Eddie could think of for camping was fucking Jersey.
So, that’s how they ended up somewhere near Batsto Village, in an area where camping’s allowed, and it’s just the two of them. Eddie doesn’t have a doubt of why – as in, no one who comes to the Pine Barrens actually goes camping, most people would go to the village and find a decent hotel instead.
That said, he only launched into the whole Jersey Devil explanation speech because they had seen a number of ghost towns while coming here, which had led to explaining Roland why it was the case (Roland kept on saying it looked like the world had moved on there, too), and now Roland is just looking not very impressed as he sits down on the ground, cross-legged.
“Some people think that there’s a monster with the head of a goat, bat wings and horns and the likes going around this place.”
“Hey, I never said I bought that!”
“You sounded fairly excited,” Roland deadpans, still glancing around their clearing. They’re surrounded by trees, everything is dark bar for the lights courtesy of the camping management and there’s admittedly nothing else to do other than talking, since they had dinner a short while before. He shrugs.
“It’s a good story,” Eddie shrugs. “And you know I’ve got a talent for good stories.”
“It seems ridiculous to me,” Roland says, “but you can tell it, I guess.”
“Wow, thank you. I’m absolutely flattered. Do you wanna hear of that time in 1909 when the entire county apparently saw it?”
“You can, but I have a feeling that was the main point of the story, wasn’t it?”
Eddie laughs – okay, fine, right, got it, Roland had a point.
“Fine, fine, next time I’m gonna be slightly less obvious. So, what’d you do if the Jersey Devil showed up right now in all its demonic self?”
“I’d shoot it,” Roland replies at once. “But since it doesn’t exist, it’s a moot point, isn’t it?”
“You’d become the hero of every conspiracy theorist in existence,” Eddie points out, wishing he had a camera because Roland’s face is priceless.
“I’d much rather not,” Roland says drily, rolling himself a cigarette. “And anyway, what’s so different from what we used to do every night back in Mid-World?”
“Well,” Eddie has to admit, “technically, we were camping. But camping is about having fun.”
“Didn’t we… have fun, though?” Shit, now Roland sounds like he’s doubting they actually did, which is not what Eddie had been aiming for.
“Of course we did,” Eddie says immediately, figuring that the least he needs is getting the guy to think they hated being there, as if they hadn’t chosen it, “but I mean, we were on a mission. If you go camping you don’t go on a mission. You just want to hang out with friends and have fun and, share dumb ghost stories and complain about how hard the ground is while enjoying every second of it. And we don’t have a mission.”
“Fair enough,” Roland concedes. “I suppose that was the, dumb ghost story?”
“Hey, the Jersey Devil isn’t a bloody ghost,” Eddie immediately replies. “It’s a demon.”
“Well, it certainly is dumb. Why would you even curse your child?”
“Because it’s one too many?”
“There’s ways to bed someone without ending up pregnant,” Roland deadpans. “Anyway, was the point scaring me?”
“As if the fucking Jersey Devil would scare you. No, it was to give you the full experience. Well, okay, I should roast marshmallows, but you can’t light up fires in here.”
“Are you supposed to?”
“It’s kind of a staple.”
“So what we were doing in Mid-World was more camping than this?”
… Eddie should give him that, because he’s technically right and honest, he’s delighted that Roland’s back to his old brand of sass that had come out during the branch of their trip in Mid-World that he remembers (loop nineteen – he gave up on remember seventeen, but apparently nineteen was the important one) and he had been way too quiet the first few weeks, except that a moment later the lights go out.
All of them.
“… What,” he says.
“You tell me.”
He shrugs. “Probably a short circuit,” he says, going for the most likely explanation. He shudders – well, it’s cold. That’s why he wanted a fire, but never mind. At least they have a decent enough tent.
It’s completely fucking pitch black now though – there isn’t even the moon out tonight, so he can’t see shit beyond the embers of Roland’s cigarette.
“Maybe,” he says, “we should go inside the tent.”
“We should?”
“Well, it’s the one thing about camping we haven’t done for now,” Eddie snorts, and he can feel more than see Roland shrugging before he crawls back into the tent – Eddie follows him, closing the flap and not even bothering to tell Roland to put the cigarette out. He doesn’t mind the smell, not anymore, and he shouldn’t put it out in the middle of a field anyway. Lest it really catches fire.
“That’d be?” Roland asks.
Eddie doesn’t waste too much time moving on top of him, his hand reaching out and grasping at Roland’s shoulder.
“Making out inside a tent while it’s dark out and the ground is uncomfortable as hell,” he says against Roland’s mouth, and he was going to lean down –
Except that he hears a screech coming from outside the tent and he startles slightly – Roland’s hand goes to his elbow and grasps at it, but Eddie can fucking feel that he’s smirking.
“Interesting,” he says.
“That has to be some wild animal,” Eddie says, and resolutely does not startle again when he hears screeching for the second time.
“Of course it is,” Roland deadpans. “Are you sure you don’t want to check if it’s the Jersey Devil?”
“Roland, my friend, I think that if it was, I’d rather avoid a meet-up. I have much better prospects for now.”
“As in?”
“Showing you the entire point of fucking camping,” Eddie says, and leans down to kiss him already, drowning out the third screech of the evening.
Honestly, now this is the entire point, and as Roland moans lightly into his mouth and rough hands grasp at his hair, Eddie decides that they totally need to do this more often.
And as far as the Jersey Devil is concerned, it can screech as much as it likes – Eddie’s not moving anytime soon and Roland isn’t either.
Then again, maybe next time they could go to Maine.
Or maybe not, he decides, thinking about what happened last time they both were in Maine. All things considered, maybe the Jersey Devil wannabe outside their tente isn’t that much of a price to pay if it gets Roland this worked up, Eddie thinks as Roland’s hands work on undoing his belt, and then he doesn’t pay the thing any attention anymore. He’s got entirely better options to think of, after all.
End.

as someone who started reading the dark tower series and related tie in books in the fourth grade and has some capital O Opinions about how those characters and worlds should be, I’m a big fan of the recent flagg castings (i.e. mcconaughey and skarsgard) because at the end of the day, the ultimate test question for your flagg should be “if I found out this evil dude fucked my mom, would I be forced to face the uncomfortable conclusion that, despite her presence as a strong moral figure in my life, she was probably 1000% down for it?”

Sometimes grief demands to be healed. It will ask for it, stitch by stitch, sew shut its own wounds on your body, demand the blood it paid you back. Roland Deschain’s grief begins and ends with his own hands and heart: his hands that killed Susan, Alain, Gabrielle, his heart that had to bear the death of Cuthbert, of Steven, of Eddie.
The death of Jake Chambers is placed at the crossroads of this pain: the first death, Jake’s blood is on his hands: he lets him fall. He lets him die. The second death, he has to understand the intricacies of it to allow himself to begin to mourn it. One of his first thoughts is: I cannot bear to let him go. So shortly after Eddie’s death, losing Jake for the second time skins Roland alive in ways he hadn’t been hurt in years, forces him to his knees for good. There is a moment perhaps where he believes this quest will truly claim this life, if only because it will rip his heart out of his chest completely. By the time Jake dies for good, it’s done so all but physically.
The events of One Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza, seeing the Tet Corporation, seeing how despite the horror the fight for the Tower is still alive and well, even in Keystone world, the reminder anew of how fundamental this fight is, the awareness, keen and sudden, of how much of a necessary evil finding and protecting the Tower represent the conclusion of Roland’s journey of mourning, from the moment he must place Jake beneath the ground to when he must return from Keystone Earth to Mid-World. One Dag is the beginning of the end: the moment where the light shines through the cracks as bright as it could ever do.
I visited One Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza today, and felt the ground shift beneath my feet. Dark places, as they say, are Holy places: there is a tower there that breathes and dances with the curvature of the Earth. I didn’t think it could affect me. I didn’t think it would affect me, but it did, and it has, and it is. There’s little to be surprised: so much about my own experiences with Stephen King and the Dark Tower have been so intimately tied to grief, its essence, its healing. Its healing especially, perhaps because The Dark Tower came to me exactly when I needed it as a sixteen year old addict in a very, very difficult situation, and even before that Stephen King came to me as a thirteen year old victim of CSA who needed the comfort of a horror outside my skull.
This year has been, first and foremost, about coming to terms with my grief and my pain. It’s been a year of transformation and healing done painfully and with terrible force and strength, a healing that was never pretty nor was it bloodless, a healing made perhaps to make me feel the light all the strongest when it finds me. So, at the end of a year made of sweat, spit and blood, I finally found One Dag, or One Dag found me, or I let myself be taken there exactly when I needed it, wanted it, knew it would stitch it clean.
Roland’s grief, after all, finds new shape and meaning beyond the doors of a dark tower so much more merciful than his own will ever be. It beings here, in One Dag, as Irene Tassenbaum waits for him patiently beside the turtle I also sat beside, as the Tet of the Rose gifts him a watch and he realises how purposeful Jake’s sacrifice was, how much there was at stake for him and it and the world at large -- not the world, the worlds. Roland finds here the meaning and purpose of his grief, the price of his own agony in the notion that it is necessary. Grief as rebirth. Grief as the darkness that cannot swallow us whole, grief that is cracked enough to let the light through, as Leonard Cohen sings. In a place where my own heart found the song in the breath of concrete, I felt the pieces falling into place: Stephen King as catalyst and martyr and messiah and my very own salvation underneath the blood of my nails and the dark ink of a page. There are few moments where I feel close to G*d and the beauty He has created, and today was one of those days, perfectly pure moments where it all spins exactly in place, where the harmony of the spheres is delicate enough to be heard past the white noise of our world as it rotates. Beside the turtle, finding every bit of hurt and watching it become something clear and crystalline, with purpose. Reach the culmination perhaps of a year of healing in the same place my favourite character understands the roots of his: Ves’Ka Gan, song of the Turtle, wheel that spins and never tires.

Hello everyone and thank you again for enjoying my Mass Emotions AU narrative. As promised I made a little animation for this one. I also want to let you know that this is not a full on story that I plan on finishing, but is something I’d like to keep open ended for us all to explore together. If you’re caught up with all my posts on this then please keep reading to see what I plan next, if not please check out the #mass emotions ts tag and return here later. I plan on putting some spoilers to events that have taken place already and about how I’ve portrayed the sides.
1. While the biggest and most shown relationship is Virgil x Patton they all have more of a polyamorous relationship that can be romantic and platonic. Even if I haven’t shown it yet Roman and Logan actually get along quite well too.
2. They live in a fort/castle where they have their own rooms and a number of facilities. The lab that the testing was done in contains equipment needed to repair any damage the Dark Sides cause and they need to remain at a stable temperature when not on. These devices were all designed and built by Logan.
3. They do live in a kind of mental realm with other people. If you’ve seen the anime Cells at Work it’s kind of like that where the other people are not warriors, but normal workers and civilians. Usually only their environment is affected by the Dark Sides, but say Thomas has an episode or constantly indulges in bad behavior it can begin affecting the people.
With that being said I’d like for all of you to ask me questions and send prompts for what you all would love to see next of this world. I think it would be fun for us to create our own narratives for this open-ended story of mine. I do still plan on drawing more, but the beginning is complete so there’s no real order to follow anymore. Additionally, I have a short story idea I’ve been working on to share with you all soon that’s something completely different from this current AU. Please look forward to it! Enjoy this current post as well!!!
- Virgil had now grown large enough to slide himself into the covers next to Patton in the bed. He was still pretty small, maybe the size of a child he thought, but he could still get closer to Patton without worry. As he curled up next to Patton, Virgil extended his arm to try and hug him, but didn’t quite reach to his dismay.  Instead he thought back to when he was in Patton’s hand and the soft, warm feeling he felt from Patton’s lips pressing up against him. He wanted Patton to feel the same, but at his current size that wasn’t possible.
He would have to get bigger, still he hesitated. If he grew too fast he’d wake Patton up and if he couldn’t stop for any reason it would become dangerous. Still his heart wasn’t calming down at the thought of completely embracing Patton entirely. Virgil shifted upwards a bit in the bed and layed a small kiss on Patton’s forehead to reassure himself. When he was always with Patton he felt so safe. He wanted to protect Patton, Logan, and Roman always. He loved them all dearly as his family. With those feelings flooding his thoughts Virgil began to grow. At first it started slow, but quickly accelerated from his excitement.
He simply couldn’t help himself. He loved the feeling of towering over Patton and holding him close as his arms and hands touched every ounce of his form in a warm embrace. When Virgil was like this he felt like he could keep Patton safe from anything. It gave him a sense of power and confidence in himself. Although, the sudden growth and creaking of the bed had woken Patton up. It didn’t take long for him to notice that Virgil had grown back to a normal size and far beyond as well.
Patton: “Hey kiddo, looks like you’ve grown since I last saw you.”
- Virgil was surprised, but remained still as the bed continued to creak under his weight. Virgil was a little embarrassed to be found by Patton in such a position, but relieved by his joking behavior.
Virgil: “Sorry I woke you up Pat. I tried my best not too, but I guess I grew a little too fast.”
Patton: “It’s alright!”
- Patton scooched closer to Virgil and stretched his arms out to give him a hug back. Patton’s figure was now completely covered by Virgil’s form. Virgil’s face flushed red in response and he slowly brought his hands closer to Patton’s back to hold him even closer. Patton could hear Virgil’s heartbeat pounding throughout his entire being as he was pressed up against Virgil’s chest. It was a comforting sound he could lose himself in.
Patton: “I guess you growing so big was your idea then?”
Virgil: “Well I did grow back while I was asleep, but once I woke up I did want to keep growing.”
Patton: “Do you like being big?”
- Unlike last time when he felt bad about admitting he enjoyed growing and being big, Virgil didn’t hesitate to answer. Instead he held Patton even closer and curled his body around him.
Virgil: “I do. It makes me feel like I can protect you and everyone from any danger. I felt really safe when I was being carried in your hands earlier and I want you to feel the same when you're with me.”
- Patton was overcome with joy at Virgil’s words. He was thrilled to see that Virgil no longer saw himself as a monster, but as a guardian. Patton worked his way closer to Virgil’s face as he pressed his own face against it. He then began nuzzling Virgil’s face in a comforting manner. Virgil noticed and titled his head down a bit in order to nuzzle back softly. However, Patton still worried if Virgil could remain big all the time. He definitely wanted him to feel comfortable, but the thought of a mini giant roaming around the realm or even inside the fort was just unrealistic. Perhaps a compromise could be met.
Patton: “I’m really happy to see you being so comfortable with yourself now, but I can’t help thinking that this size might be a bit too much for daily life. It’s already too much for the bed you’ve outgrown.”
Virgil: “I guess you’re right. My legs are technically on the floor and my back is nowhere near the bed anymore. Still...”
Patton: “Listen kiddo, I want you to be comfortable and I also like our big bear hug times like this one. So how about we make a deal where you only get this big or bigger when you're with me and for most of the time you can stay tall, but not big...deal?”
Virgil: “Deal.”
Patton: “Awesome! Now then, think you could shrink back down to that new size of yours before the bed finally kaputz?”
Virgil: “Sure.”
- Virgil closed his eyes and imagined the size he was going for. He wanted to remain tall, tall enough to still pick up Patton from time-to-time and big enough to still give him lots of hugs that completely covered his frame. Virgil rested on 6’10 and opened his eyes to a now astonished looking Patton.
Patton: “I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of seeing you do that! Anyway you still seem pretty tall, what size did you set on?”
Virgil: “I went with 6’10.”
Patton: “Wow! That’s more than a foot taller than me!”
Virgil: “Really? How tall are you? I noticed the three of you are pretty much the same height or close to it.”
Patton: “ I’m 5’9 actually. So I’m shorter than Roman who’s 5’10, but taller than Logan who’s 5’8.”
- Patton yawned as he listed off the trios height. Virgil saw that Patton was still tired from the long night.
Virgil: “I had no idea Logan was the shortest.”
Patton: “Uh-huh, he says all his growing energy went to his brain instead.”
- Virgil gave a light chuckle at that remark as he began working his arms back around Patton. Patton had begun fading in and out of consciousness.
Virgil: “We should get back to sleep Pat.”
- Patton was too tired to answer so he just closed his eyes with a slight nod and laid his head up against Virgil’s chest. Allowing himself to fall asleep to that all familiar heartbeat. Virgil pressed his face into Patton’s hair and whispered him a sweet good night as he too closed his eyes.
To be continued.

So, because I'm weird I used to read the last line of any book I bought. Bad habit. I know. It was just the last line. It wasn't going to spoil me anything. Right? Wrong. I went to the shop and read the last line of the seventh Dark Tower book when it was released while I was still reading Susannah's Song. That cured me of the habit. Do you remember that line? What did you think of it? it's hit and miss with King's endings, but I quite liked this one.
....................... HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAHAHA ha ha ha. okay. buckle up because we’re getting into The Topic Of The Century Ie My Hateboner For The Ending of VII Even If I Don’t Dislike That Line. under the cut in case.
so, thing is, the loop theory was a thing that most ppl thought was possible back in the day and I also used to lurk on the now defunct dt.net forums where people were theorizing all the time so I did get into VII thinking that might be the ending line BUT problem: as I had read insomnia in preparation for the DT, I had figured it would line up with stuff that happened in that book where the kid had the vision with roland and another younger guy at the tower, so I had gotten myself into theorizing that roland got there with either jake or eddie most likely jake, died into the field of roses and the gunslinger following flagg might not have been him, and I really liked my own damned theory, which... means... that I obv. got disappointed that it didn’t go like that BUUUUTTT here we go into the problem I have with the ending as in:
I thought everything post eddie’s death didn’t make sense and susannah’s characterization was all over the place and honestly I got a lot of things but the idea that she didn’t go with roland to the tower just irked me to no end esp. bc she swore eddie that she would but nvm
king utterly ignored 90% of the stuff he did with insomnia and he just stuck patrick at the end because he had to be there but it wasn’t lining up with what was in the actual original book and just WHY
also the way the crimson king died was... I mean idk what editor didn’t ask stephen WHAT THE HELL HE WAS THINKING but if he was going for underwhelming villains to send a message it was.. a bad message bc it just made me go like I DIDN’T GET ALL THE WAY HERE FOR THIS
anyway then there’s the part where I thoroughly, utterly and absolutely detest the first ending (the susannah one) because a) THAT DAMNED TROPE WHERE EVERYONE FORGETS EVERYTHING JESUS KING WHY DO YOU LIKE IT IT ERASES CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT I HATE IT, b) she’s not gone with actual jake and eddie, those two are doubles from another world/twinners so like.... wow those two died and fuck them and she got the happy ending with the similarbutnotexactsame version? I mean they’re not the people I cried my eyes out for I’m not considering that their happy ending, c) ... so even if that was the message it means that whatever they had with roland was only worth for one loop and then bye? yeah sorry nope I don’t buy that
now, given the above, I didn’t mind the ending that much bc I thought the loop thing was actually smart, but good lord roland forgetting everything for the what TWENTIETH TIME was the cruelest thing I’ve ever seen done to a fictional character ever and just IMPLYING that this might be the last time was... like... king that’s not gonna cut it sorry
so I hc-ed that eddie and jake actually are with roland in all the loops and it’s the other person who is in for the ride and he’s going to draw them again which was actually not too clownish bc at some point in 5 eddie def. had deja vu ie I ALREADY HAVE DONE THIS BEFORE and that’s the only way I can have peace with that ending because otherwise it’s too bleak and I can’t even, regardless of how much sk thinks it’s not bleak.
but as an ending line itself it was badass ;) ;) ;) I just wish I... appreciated... the context and that he hadn’t killed off flagg that early just to not do shit with him and have that anticlimactic thing at the end sdlkjgjksd

how do you feel about richie being gay in the movie?
I’m down with it? I mean it wasn’t in the book but it’s a valid reading/updating of the character and anyway there’s a reason why richie/eddie always was the most popular ship for the book before the movie came out and it exploded - I mean they did have that usual full-of-subtext-dynamic that king ends up doing between guys without realizing what he’s doing 90% of the time imvho XD also if he approved of the change then he probably also thinks it’s a valid reading but anyway I thought it was a good update and while richie/eddie isn’t exactly my main stephen king ship (I mean I like it but I wasn’t actively into it post-book that was ben/beverly back in the day xD and other than the ot7 rn I think I’m digging bill/mike post-movie because it was calling to me but nvm) and I cried when he went and re-carved the initials, I just wish I hadn’t grasped it from like fifteen posts before seeing it bc I’d have liked going into it not knowing they changed that X°D but anyway it’s definitely nothing I’m complaining about when it comes to this adaptation lmao I mean if I have complains they’re 100% different and anyway in comparison to the average kind adaptation both of those movies were too much grace tbh

aviss ha risposto al tuo post “So, because I'm weird I used to read the last line of any book I...”
Oh wow, I can tell you have feeling for this series, yes. I might have missed that part where the drawing of the three would be different on next iterations, or I just blocked it from my mind, because I've always assumed the would draw exactly the same people. And yes, what he does to Roland is really cruel, but even when it was a slap on the face (I was nowhere prepared for it) that last line was pure genius to me.
hahahahahahaha ops yes I have strong feelings about these assholes but let’s just say they were half the reason my teenager years didn’t suck so what can I do ;) but yeah like... I do love the last line, I wish I had enjoyed the build up. also poor roland deserved better fkljglskdjlkgjklljk sorry I can’t WHY WHAT DID HE EVER DO TO YOU STEVE

OH MY GOD THANK YOU FOR MENTIONING PATRICK nevermind that I spent books 6 and 7 not understanding a damn shit but insomnia had given me Expectations. I thought that kid would go places. And instead it felt so random???? So inexplicable??? I hope the next loop gives him justice. Anyway Wolves of Calla is the best book in the series I'm sorry for your masterpiece Stephen but your anticlimatic ending can't top killer ladiss with razor plates
EXACTLY?? he was there bc king remembered at the last minute that he wrote 600 pages of book about how that kid was relevant to TDT so he had to put him in but... like.. at that point pls just pretend you never wrote it it’s better for all of us???? and hahaha personally my favorite is wastelands almost tied with drawing of the three bUT WOLVES IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND I LOVED THE SHIT OUT OF IT EXCELLENT CHOICE MY COMRADE

for the meme: eddie/roland
GOOD LORD THANK YOU
ps: BOOK 7 SPOILERS so I’m cutting this but u were warned
Headcanon: I can muster a cogent argument for why it would make more sense or make for a better story if this were the case
at some point eddie tried to get roland to say some iconic clint eastwood quote for the kicks of it and because it turns on the shit out of him
Heartcanon: I don’t have a particular rationale for why this ought to be the case, I just like to imagine it’s true because it gives me the warm fuzzies
the people in the loops that roland draws might or might not be always the same but some are there in more than one loop and some have been in all of them and eddie was in all of them LISTEN HE HAD A LINE ABOUT EVERYTHING FEELING DEJA VU IN BOOK FIVE LET ME BELIEVE
Gutcanon: it’s not that I actively want this to be the case – it just unaccountably feels like it should be
god idk but I guess that I wish roland and suze could have been closer so that ending wouldn’t have happened but without him it wasn’t gonna happen and it makes me sad
Junkcanon: I like to imagine it’s true because it gives me the other kind of warm fuzzies
roland tops nine times on ten but the one time eddie tops the shit out of him he’s like OKAY I CAN SEE THE MERITS IN LETTING OTHER PEOPLE DO THE JOB
Spleencanon: I insist that this is the case specifically to spite the author, because, like, fuck you, sir or madam
EDDIE’S IN THE LAST AND FINAL LOOP AND THEY’RE GONNA REMEMBER EVERYTHING AND INSTEAD OF GOING UP TO THE TOWER THEY FUCK OFF TO NEW YORK BECAUSE THE ENTIRE POINT IS THAT ROLAND NEEDS TO BE ABLE TO RENOUNCE IT AND THEY’LL GO TO PRIDES AND MAKE OUT FOR CENTURIES WHO CARES ABOUT THE TWINNERS AND WHO CARES ABOUT THAT SHIT FIRST EPILOGUE OKAY KING??? YOU HEAR ME KING???
... wow okay this was the oNLY ship for which I had a srs spleencanon thank you uu

Hi Lavinia, if you had to cut something out from the Dark Tower to make a tv series/series of films, what would you cut and why?
well
SPOILERS
I’d make a series tbh the movies are too complicated and you can’t keep the rating up. I’d keep the first three books more or less intact though I’d probably tone down a bit the detta stuff to make sure she doesn’t look or sound like a stereotype, then I’d definitely make wizard and glass a separate season on its own - like an eventual series 3 would end with roland starting to tell that story and then the end of W&G would be like the S4 finale or the S5 premiere. then I’d probably keep most of the wolves story intact but I’d probably cut unnecessary stuff (one flashback episode for callahan’s story in a tv series would be a thing tho most fucking probably change most of book seven. like until callahan dying and the ka-tet reuniting I’d change mostly nothing except for cutting the king stuff (maybe they find out that someone was writing that story but like NO STUFF WHERE THEY HAVE TO SAVE STEPHEN KING IRL) and then from 7 on... either mordred dies with mia or I make him slightly more sympathetic and give him some CONFLICT and he and roland have some sort of relationship or whatever, flagg definitely DOESN’T die and gets to have the showdown with roland at the tower and like I’d completely cut everything that happened after the battle of agul siento and have roland getting to the tower with either all four of them or eddie or jake but definitely Not What Happened, also no patrick since no one adapted insomnia for television before. mostly because I thought that mordred was wasted, flagg was wasted, the ending - before the very last epilogue - was only good when roland *sang the names under the tower* and I hated everything else that happened in between, patrick was there because king couldn’t retcon insomnia but made no sense and ERASING THE CRIMSON KING was just... what the fuck were you smoking. like king-in-the-book made sense in the book but it’d be weak on tv/a movie, the entire last part of book VII was just weak imo. and the ending was atrocious. and fuck’s sake I wouldn’t have had epilogue one if they paid me to. and if it ended the way it began the gunslinger would not be roland xD

(Different anon) Oooh speaking of the dark tower ending, SPOILERS: Do you think this cycle would be the last because he has the horn? Like maybe this time he will treat better his ka-tet and they will all reach the tower alive (and after, what will happen? End of the world? Roland gets to live a peaceful life?). I also saw a theory according to which Roland's quest was finished with the breakers and we readers have to stop reading the book at this point to end his cycle.
uuuuhm okay IN ORDER (under the cut)
tbh my ideal ending was ‘roland gets to the tower with either jake or eddie, dies before getting to the top, jake or eddie get to the top and *they* are the gunslinger of the last-line-first-line and not roland but obviously it was TOO GOOD FOR KING DAMN HIM
so that said
yes it has to be the last because of the horn
I think that the ka-tet point is moot because I mean it wasn’t that he didn’t treat them good enough, it’s that with this ka-tet he got as far as giving up the tower before reaching it (remember when he was willing to die in jake’s place in VII? I mean THAT) so I think the horn was the only missing thing
I don’t fucking know what king was thinking with the loop because like eddie did have moments when he thought he was in a deja-vu and in theory susannah didn’t end up with our eddie and jake, she ended up with twinners eddie and jake, and she never got the deja-vu stuff in her povs, so I have a pet theory that the ka-tet is the same for certain people and not for others so susannah was there just for ride number nineteen while eddie and jake were there for more rides than that one, which makes me hope that they’d be for the next one or it’s too fucking sad like I don’t accept the ka-tet made of other people completely
the breakers theory is meh to me because like if roland got set back in time then also the breakers got set back in time and that universe got set back in time so he has to make sure they don’t break all over again or it would make no sense, especially since also flagg was dead but then brought back to life soooo
in theory if they all reach the tower alive and they saved the breakers the world doesn’t end but I also tend to think that as someone else pointed out... these books are also about addiction and roland is addicted to the damned tower, so he can only have a decent life or a good death if he gives it up and doesn’t go inside it, which is like the only way I can see him moving on, but tbh I don’t know how you’d go about having a peaceful life when we’re talking about *roland* - like, if he leaves midworld or tries to rebuild gilead or something it could be an option but it sounds more like fix-it fic than what king would cook up so realistically if he doesn’t go to the top he most probably dies in the field of roses or something and the others take up his legacy, and that would still be better than that fucking ending
(sorry I have a problem with kind and his love for MEMORY WIPES in endings, I hated it in it and I loathed it in the DT)
he definitely has another cycle to go and I should hope it goes better but yeah like that’s my two cents
(anyway as far as I’m concerned he gives it up and he goes living in ny with eddie and jake the original ones and he gets some fucking rest)
XD

Can I have the spoiler, pleeeeease?
.... if you really want to
(under the cut)
basically roland gets on top of the tower and finds out that it’s not the first time he did it but tldr every time he went through his quest he did something wrong so he has to do it again until he has everything right and so he gets sent back to the beginning of the books after his memory’s been wiped (apparently at least) and the last line of the last book is the opening line of the first book

☕️ 1) I was (a little) disappointed with the ending of Walter O'Dim and find his back story a little too rushed (but maybe it's because I haven't read any King beside the tower?). 2) I liked both endings of The Dark Tower (has in I could have been good with the first one. (If you are really bored : any comments on either of my random thoughts spoosch(.)tumblr(.)com/post/166707197361/the-dark-tower-books )
uh I missed that post in pre-exam frenzy will go look at it asap THAT SAID
1) fully agree I mean I wasn’t when I read it because I was like okay fine let’s see how it goes, but given mordred’s utterly lame ending and how much I didn’t like the last third of that book in retrospective I thought it was shitty and he deserved a lot better esp. since he’s my favorite king villain...
2) 75/25. as in: I hated the first ending like nothing else (will elaborate on the other post), I didn’t dislike the second one but tbh I thought it’d have preferred if
SPOILER
the gunslinger of the last line wasn’t roland
/END SPOILER
but that also might be because I had time to come up with my ending headcanons and I kinda wanted roland to die after fighting flagg/walter and either eddie or jake to go up in his stead SOOOOO XDDDDDD
