if you were to throw operators straight ahead like javelins, who do you think would fly the furthest/fastest? (Platinum would be in a perfect 1st place, imo)

Excellent question. In no particular order:

Platinum. Lightweight, short, aerodynamic. This horse is optimal for long-distance chucking, just bear in mind that she is TOO light and thus strong gales might throw her off the intended course. One of the legends of Operator Javelin Toss.

Gladiia. She's significantly taller than Platinum and her supersoldier physique makes her quite heavier as well, but if you manage to throw her, she's basically a spear. The swordfish that swims through the skies.

Phantom. This cat is rather tall, but his lean, sinewy build suggests a light build. The ultimate technique that can evade even Folinic: Ask someone to throw him. Miss Christine bans the technique, but you wouldn't say no to those big ol' cat eyes, now, would you?

Shalem. This one's cheating, but who's the referee? Basically, tell him his backstory is catching up to him, and marvel as he rewrites the known laws of physics, grabs himself by the legs, spins himself like Mario 64 Bowser, and throws himself all the way to Sami.

FrostNova. This one's also cheating, but if there's a strong gale and Platinum is too unreliable due to it, winds are known to carry ashes quite far.

Dusk. This one's unintuitive, but she has reached incredible distances after being too annoying and getting thrown on reflex. Not particularly aerodynamic and crashes loudly. Dusk is an outlier and just happens to have been thrown by very strong people.

Durin. Bad for javelin toss, actually, but excellent for shot put.

Myrtle. Read Durin.

W. A counterintuitive pick, given her voluptuous physique and volatile temperament. Despite this, she's the Reigning Javelin after the current Operator Javelin Toss champion, Mon3tr, broke the record using her, throwing her right into the plot across incredible distances. "GRRRRRAAH" -- the Champion's words after receiving its gold medal and commemorative tungsten plaque.

I use clip studio paint ex to animate (which is on sale almost every major holiday; perhaps they’ll do a halloween sale?), and like 90% of what I know about animating on csp stems from this ~20 min video, so I highly recommend checking it out!

A ship I have with said character: RenMerry of course!! I’ve talked many times about how much I love them and how important they are to me... A BROTP I have with said character: I really like the idea that she’s met Sumireko in her dreams a few times... A NOTP I have with said character: Nothing really comes to mind so I’ll just say Merry/men

A random headcanon: She collects things that remind her of specific moments in her life, to ground her more to reality. Simple entrance tickets to places, photos, old little objects...

General Opinion over said character: She is so wonderful... I adore all the hifuu club members but she’s probably my favourite. I love her design(s) because when drawing her I can indulge in frills and fluffy blonde hair lol. She’s a great character to think about, with a lot of mystery surrounding her, her powers, her link to Yukari, her future... She’s had nice character development over the years with the CDs’ stories, a part of me wishes Zun would give proper closure to The Merry Mystery one day, but I also hope he never will! I want her to stay a beautiful puzzle that I can only imagine possible answers for :)

You know how Aqours did a parade + live at the T-Spook Halloween event back in 2017? And made a bunch of overseas fans super salty because IT WAS A MERE ¥1500 (LESS THAN $15 AT CURRENT RATES) FOR THE PARADE TICKETS AKA A CHANCE TO WAVE AT THE SEIYUU LITERALLY RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU AT AN EVENT WHERE YOU ARE ACTUALLY ALLOWED TO TAKE PICTURES + VIDEO???

Luckily for us poor saps, Fuji TV was kind enough to broadcast the concert on TV a month later, and of course fans rushed to record and repost that broadcast for everyone to see. This is what I was referring to when I mentioned the “abs” move in “Daydream Warrior”:

Putting aside my enormous bias for Shukashuu, I can assure you that out of all the Aqours members, Shukashuu pulls off this move the best. Aikyan comes in at a close second, but Shukashuu just makes this looks so smooth and sensual and…idk it’s just REALLY GOOD. There are a ton of reasons to love this song, but this little part of the choreo gets me the most.

Better yet, the 2L version of Daydream Warrior enhances the dance because they’re in the KoiAqua outfits. That outfit’s top is short enough to reveal a bit of Shukashuu’s abs so…🍝🍝🍝🍝🍝

Just Google “aqours t-spook daydream warrior” and you’ll find tons of places where you can see the video of the performance. Here’s one - skip to around 1:37, 2:55, and 4:20 (haha BLAZE IT…because Aqours is on fire with this dance tbh) for the best parts. :3c

Pallas porfi

Could it be...!? The once in ten lifetimes...!? The DOUBLE BINGO?

Hell Yeah I fucking love Pallas, one of my top favorites in Arknights, never made any secret of that. Pallas is a Category 10 DEFCON 1 Woman Moment. She's done it all. She's not done yet. She drinks her sorrows away. She picks herself up. She's highly optimistic. She loves the arts. She loves the martial arts. She loves hanging out. She loves her solitary moments of contemplation. I like her a lot for too many reasons to list.

I have a huge, huge love for unsung heroes. Pallas practically quelled a huge diplomatic problem before it could become a huge diplomatic problem, possibly even a war, all through dogged effort and sheer determination. The thing with Pallas, one of the things I really love about her, is that her Files explicitly mention that she's not particularly skilled at tactics and combat, with her forte (HEH) actually being logistics, negotiation, and social planning. She is not a noteworthy warrior, she is not a genius combatant or possessed with special, unique Arts... All she's got is her intense love for heroics, and the drive to see them through.

Even though her tactics were rough, she persevered.

Even though her skills weren't up to snuff every time, she persevered.

Even though there could've been someone better, even though it didn't need to be her, she chose to be the person these people needed, because she was there, and there was no way she wasn't going to help.

And in the end, isn't that what heroism truly is? What is glory without a dash of recklessness and a pint of perseverance!

And yet, because she was Infected... She knew she had to disappear. She couldn't be the Hero she always dreamed she could be, because if people knew that their savior was Infected, that could risk throwing everything into disarray again. And so, she made the ultimate sacrifice: With her dream right in front of her, for the sake of the very people that could've cast her away if they learned she was Infected, she disappeared overnight, abandoning the chance to be recognized as a Hero, instead giving the people the key element they needed to carry on forward: Hope.

She drinks her sorrows into the night, she laments what had to be done, but if you ask Pallas, she would never say she regrets what she did.

And isn't that heroism, in the end?

I love Pallas. She is everything.
