what is a datura
Datura, aka devil's trumpet, AKA jimsonweed, AKA thornapple, is flowering plant in the nightshade family, known for being highly poisonous, as well as psychoactive.
The squirrels almost killed mine (and quite possibly themselves in the process) and I've since had to build a hideous cage around it in hopes that it will grow another flower before it gets too cold.

Okay @dataflowdiagram and @pompeach since you both asked about it. Here is my current modlist I'm running, I'll add in a brief description of each and colour code it. Putting under a readmore just cause it's long
Colour code here: Blue - animal related mods, Green - social/trait mods Pink - UI improvements, yellow - ones that just improve colonist behaviours, red - purely aesthetic, purple - adds some sort of new physical item to the game
Harmony - basic one you need if you're running basically any mod, is code library
Hugslibs- another basic library, needed for most mods
Jecstools- another support mod that a lot of other mods rely on
Vanilla backgrounds expanded - just adds in some additional loading screens and new options for the menu background.
Vanilla expanded framework - framework mod for all the vanilla expanded series. Gonna add a bit of a tangent here, but if you didnt know about them, the vanilla expanded mods is an organized effort by modders to make a centralised community that the mods all work together, because back in ye olden days when I started playing a lot more mods had compatibility issues with one another and so its really amazing seeing the group effort. Also Oskar the guy who started it and manages the project is really good about integrity and making sure none of the modders working under the project steal any code or art, and when someone pointed it out that one did on reddit once, he swiftly removed the stolen code and issued an apology, removing the thief from the team. So that's cool
Colony manager- adds in a management task to have your colonists automate things like hunting and harvesting wild plants
CM colour coded mood bar - the background of the colonists portrait bar matches their mood, convenient for keeping quick tabs on happiness
Dub's bad hygiene - adds in plumbing and colonist thirst and bathroom needs
Common sense - pawns just act a bit smarter, doing things like cleaning a room before cooking and such.
Convert then recruit - a setting for prisoners that your colonists will first convert a prisoner and then recruit instead of needing to manually switch to recruit after converting
Greenworld - aesthetic changes so theres grass over most dirt
Medical tab - adds in a specific tab to keep track of all your colonists medical needs in one place
Quality builder - set a minimum quality you want a piece of furniture to be and your pawns will automatically deconstruct it and retry until it's that quality or better
Replace stuff - lets you replace the material of objects like walls without needing to deconstruct it first. Useful because unless im doing a mountain base I often initially build my rooms out of wood and then replace them with stronger stones later in game.
pygmy muffalo - adds pygmy muffalo, like muffalo but smaller
simple sidearms - allows colonists to carry more than one weapon. useful for when the enemy runs up melee against your dude with a gun that hes not immediately shanked
ugh you got me - colonists will stop social fighting sooner than being knocked unconscious
use bedrolls - when a caravan is out at an outpost, colonists will pull the bedrolls out of their inventory/pack animals to use instead of sleeping on the ground
RimHUD - changes the display box for pawns to show more info
realistic rooms - changes the size expectations of various room times to be more reasonable
everybody gets one - makes you able to set workshop bills to create x per colonist
area unlocker - removes cap on the number of areas you can create and some other small tweaks to setting areas
animal logic - makes managing animals easier
animals are fun - colonists will play with animals and take them on walks for recreation
animal tab - improves the animal tab
RPG style inventory revamped - shows pawns clothing and armour in inventory spots akin to an rpg
Vanilla Social Interations - adore this one, adds in more complex social interactions and relationships like best friends
opossum friends- adds opossum friends (pregnant opossums carry their babies on back, cannot express how vital this is)
interaction bubbles - speech bubbles so you can watch pawns interact without going to the social tab
speakup - gives a variety of more topics your pawns will talk about
allow tool - adds some more functionality to tools, such as the ability to select all objects of a type on the map or only harvest plants that are full grown
desire path - as pawns use a path regularly, the natural ground will become packed dirt, making it increase move speed (though not as much as putting in real floors)
share the load - multiple pawns will deliver to a construction blueprint if needed
run and gun - colonists have the capacity to shoot as they move, with decreased accuracy and movement speed
individuality - adds in some new traits and rebalances some vanilla ones
vanilla achievements expanded - achievements!
alpha mythology - adds animals from myths like minotaurs
a dog said - animal prosthetics, unfortunately not compatible with some modded animals like opossums :(
Vanilla psycasts expanded - expands upon the psycast system from royalty
alpha animals - adds a bunch of cool unique animals
alpha bees - adds bees and beekeeping
build from inventory - pawns will build using items in their inventory
vanilla skills expanded - adds different types of passions and the ability to expertise in a specific part of a skills
erin's cat overhaul - adds in new coat patterns for cats
housekeeper assistant cat - adds in little housekeeper cats similar to felynes from monster hunter
housekeeper cat felyne patch - patch for last mod to make them look more like palicos
work tab - improves the work tab, includes things like setting priority based on time
go explore - new world events to travel and see
snap out - skilled social pawns can try to calm people out of mental breaks
wall lights - lights on walls, revolutionary

Vanilla cooking expanded series - new types of meals and things to cook like stews and cheese
Vanilla fishing expanded - colonists can now fish
Vanilla books expanded - colonists can write books and later read them for recreation
vanilla weapons expanded nonlethal - this is the only weapons expanded mod I have and thats because im not super into the combat in the game, but I dislike accidentally killing a prisoner if they try to escape/go berserk or whatever
smarter construction - colonists wont accidentally trap themselves when building
search and destroy - automates some parts of combat, requiring less micromanaging
Giddy up! series - pawns can ride the big animals
level up - notification when a pawn levels a skill

performance optimizer - exactly as says, makes game run just a bit more smoothly
Biotech expansion series - adds more xenotypes for biotech such as from myth or animal abilities

Data Flow Diagrams
Focusing On What The User Needs
To create great user experiences – designers must focus on the user’s needs and that means developing an understanding of how to create the best task flow for that user. In my case, the main end-users I am addressing will be potential employers and other designers who will be checking out my work and may wish to get in contact with me.
As the processes we as designers wish to use to guide people through our sites and pages can vary dramatically, it is important to focus on a few key areas to reduce the cognitive load whilst still having an efficient, functional website. These key areas are; minimising the steps in the process without over-complicating the screens, successfully getting the information across to the user/audience and maintaining the functionality of the site.
One way of outlining this before diving into the deep end can be to create a data flow diagram of my own...

hello!
i dont know if this is the right place to ask but i was somewhat getting into witchcrafty things, and was wondering if you knew a good place to start?
both from a not wanting to upset people perspective but also from a "wow lots of things what do i try and take in first" kind of perspective
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Oh maaaan that's a big question, and I'm honestly not great at answering these kinds of questions. The way I went about it was a very long and disorganized process (and there were far fewer resources when I got interested in witchcraft -- Wicca and new agey shit was basically all I could find on the internet of the late 90's, but I was also a kid with limited research skills) which I would very much not recommend reproducing.
I'd suggest taking your time and reading widely, and don't just adopt things into your belief system because some blog says it's how witchcraft works. It's important to find out where that belief is coming from. Is it folk magic? If so, from where? Is it Wicca (Wicca is very ubiquitous and often conflated with witchcraft in general -- lots of people who aren't Wiccan celebrate the wheel of the year, for instance, but it was constructed as part of the Wiccan religion and I think it's important to know how it came to be and what the actual holidays it grabbed from various cultures originally were before you get into it)? Is it Law of Attraction/Assumption [avoid]? Is it based on Theosophy [avoid]? Is it based on a blogger's UPG?
If you're not familiar with the aforementioned concepts, it would be a good idea to look into them so you have a better chance of spotting them when they turn up, which they will.
I'd also suggest putting some real thought into how you believe magic works. There are a lot of paradigms, many of which can be combined. Deities and/or spirits (in various senses of the word -- some folks believe in spirits as in ghosts, while animists believe that all things have spirit or a spirit to varying degrees... animism isn't any one thing, so there's quite a bit of variation there) may be involved, or you might prefer a more secular approach. Some people believe in a purely psychological framework. Folk magic often combines elements of superstition, sympathetic magic, and religion. There's an incredible and fascinating variety of ways that Christianity has been incorporated into the indigenous folk magic of various colonized cultures, for instance, but that's an area where you really want to do your research and be mindful of appropriation.
Sorry, this has turned into another long and disorganized ramble... but yeah, basically research a lot, track down sources, and try talking to a variety of practitioners. Keep in mind that you can always shift gears and change how you work/what you believe, and that you may do this frequently as you try to nail down what's right for you. I definitely did.
Mutuals, feel free to chime in.
