Is there like a good resource or history website where we can look at Spain or Catalan fashion during and post civil war? I'm trying to find more reference photos of the 1930s-50s fashion of that time period.
Yes!
If you're looking for high fashion, the Catalan brand Santa Eulàlia has the archive on their website where you can see many of their clothes from the 1930s to the 1990s. I think their website will be very useful to you because not only do they have photos of their pieces of clothing (in the section "Fashion" and "Santa Eulàlia in the museums"), but they also have the section "Fashion Photography" where you can see what these clothes look like on models, "Fashion sketches", "Posters", and illustrations in early 20th century fashion magazines (section "Design").
Catalonia's Virtual Museum of Fashion is also a good place to find clothes. You can filter results by time period, piece of clothes, gender, colour, material, etc. Go to "catàleg", click on "selecciona filtres" and then "XX" (20th century) on the "cronologia" section.
For Spanish things, in Madrid they have Museo del Traje (Clothes Museum). I've checked their website and it's quite messy and it looks like they don't have many pieces digitalised.
You can also simply look at photography archives and see what people were wearing.
I hope this is helpful!

I have a proposition.
This is not going to be my usual content, but I have a request and proposal to all of us on the internet. Please take a few minutes and consider my proposition. You don't have to do it but after hearing something, I feel it's time we teach some people lessons about the free market.
Apparently a certain billionaire that owns Meta decided to lobby billions of dollars to have TikTok banned in the US. The proclomation of it being done for "Nation Security" in the united states is a phantasm considering Facebook has had so many datat breaches over its 20 year tenure it should have been banned over a decade ago if it was about cyber securities.
As a request, I am going to ask if you have facebook, insta, or anything connected to the Meta, that you stop visiting those sites and delete it from the phone. In order for this protest to work it can't just be for a day or week, we will have to have this done for months to a year, if not longer. It will sting, it will suck, but we must work on looking for a new platform and start helping bust the monopoly that has been on social media by only a handful.
If you have any suggestions on other places for us to meet and go, please don't be shy and share them.
And to my international friends here, please spread the word and let's make this a global phenomenon to the best of our ability.

Mayak Datat: The Hairy Man Pictographs
Line drawings of the Hairy Man pictograph, "mother" Hairy Man pictograph, and "child" Hairy Man pictograph, located in central California
"ABSTRACT. The purpose of this article is to examine the association of prehistoric pictographs with contemporary stories told by the Tule River Indians about Hairy Man. Located on the Tule River Indian Reservation, the Painted Rock Pictographs are approximately 1000 years old. According to members of the tribe, the pictographs depict how various animals, including Hairy Man, created People. Other stories tell why Hairy Man lives in the mountains, steals food, and still occupies parts of the reservation. Since the Tule River Indians equate Hairy Man to Bigfoot, the pictograph and stories are valuable to our understanding of the modern idea of a hair-covered giant."
Tumblr media
"... when the Yokuts observed animal behavior in the wild, they incorporated those observations into their traditional stories. The more they observed, the most elaborate the stories and details. Following are several examples of traditional stories, collected by the author unless otherwise noted, and the observed animal behavior represented in the story. How People Were Made All the birds and animals of the mountains went to Hocheu to make People. Eagle, chief of all the animals, asked each animal how they wanted People to be. Each animal took a turn and said what they had to say. Fish said, "People should know how to swim, like me, so let them be able to hold their breath and swim very deep." Hummingbird said, "People should be fast, like me, so let them have good feet and endurance." Eagle said, "People should be wise, wiser than me, so People will help animals and take care of the Earth." Turtle said, "People should be able to protect themselves, like me, so lets give them courage and strength." Lizard said, "People should have fingers, like me, so that People can make baskets, bows and arrows." Owl said, "People should be good hunters, like me, so give them knowledge and cunning." Condor said, "People should be different from us, so give them hair, not feathers or fur to keep warm." Then Coyote said, "People should be just like me, because I am smart and tricky, so have them walk on all fours." Hairy Man, who had not said anything yet, shook his head and said, "No, People should walk on two legs, like me." All the other animals agreed with Hairy Man, and Coyote became very angry. He challenged Hairy Man to a race, and they agreed who ever won could decide how People should walk. They gathered at the waterfall, below Hocheu, to begin the race. Coyote started and took a shortcut. Hairy Man was wiser than Coyote and knew that Coyote would cheat to win and People would have to walk on all fours, so Hairy Man stayed behind and helped Eagle, Condor, and the others to make People. They went back to the rock and drew People, on two legs, on the ground. The animals breathed on them, and People came out of the ground. Hairy Man was very pleased and went to People, but when they saw Hairy Man, they were scared and ran away. That made Hairy Man sad. When Coyote came back and saw what they had done, he was very angry and drew himself on the rock eating the moon (he is called Su! Su! Na). All the other animals drew their pictures on the rock as well, so People would remember them. Hairy Man was sad because People were afraid of him, so he drew himself sad. That is why Hairy Man's picture is crying to this day. That is how people were made."

Dialogue System Codes.
This is a blog post on how to make dialogue systems.
Tumblr media
This is a structure blueprint, where in which, the variables for character name, dialogue and integer is stored, ready for when this is stored in a data table.
Tumblr media
This is my data table so far, basically this is what stored all the dialogue in a certain area. The next interger section is used for how long the dialogue is used for. So It doesn't loop.
Tumblr media
This is a dialogue system which only activates if the player is in the area. Basically triggering a cutscene moment.
The box Collison is used for invisible collision for the player, if the player hits it, then the cutscene will start
The Billboard is there just for visualisation, for where I am placing this in the wolrd in editor mode.
The Sphere is there to show visually in the game, when the cutscene starts.
Tumblr media
In the event graph of this code,m I needed a system which can help move the dialogue on. I may need to make duplicates for these for different data tables as this will help me move the dialogue on on each line when you press A. The ++ is what helps move it on, as it add to the row index as shown in the image. This is thern connectged to the get data table row dialogue and the datat table should be the first dialogue system. In the row name, I then need to promote that to a variable and make it an array and get the row name and connect it to the row index in order to help move it on.
I then need make a new variable and call it current dialogue and set and connect this to Out Row Dialogue Text. This will help the game know what the current dialogue is.
This will overall hook the widget up to the widget.
Tumblr media
This is the arrays in the row names, as show in the data table.
Tumblr media
On begin play, the input for this system should be disabled, as otherwise, the game could run the dialogue system without the developer's consent and then the story would be everywhere.
Tumblr media
The overlap box code is used for when the player hits the box and this will trigger the dialogue system. I need to cast to the third person character in order for the game to know its me, and then set a variable to check whether the player is in range and then enable input with the player controller. The widget for the actual thing needs to be created in order for the player to see whats going on and adding it to viewport will amplify that. And the custom event is the following:
Tumblr media
This custom event will help the game know what current dialogue to use and know to use it when the player this the box, and know to use the current dialogue.
Tumblr media
This is the prototype dialogue box for my character. I might need to upodate this at some point, as I need one for Narla, Spritely, Clem and the Villain, but I am sure that It is similar to how you do it with the dialogue system. But before I explain that, i would like to explain this. The Character name always goes at the top. The Dialogue text goes at the bottom but should be a different font and style to the name otherwise it could get confusing. Then there should be a prompt to show to press A to move the dialogue on.
Tumblr media
This is the code for when the player leaves the box, the dialogue box can disapear and the input for the box can dispaer too, as it disables the input from the get player controller.
Tumblr media
This code is useless now, as it caused the dialogue to loop back to the beginning for some reason and it made sound effects. I'll probably sue the sound effects again at some point in the code, as it will need it, but that's not the point. It started looping the dialogue system on press a even though there already is a system for that now. Scratch that, I tested it as shown in the video, and it kept playing even when the dialogue system isn't there anymore.
I did have a next dialogue function, but that ended up being useless as that was the same as the start dialogue system.
Tumblr media
With the dialogue text, there should be a binding, which will help connect this to the dialogue system code, which holds the current data table. This will also overall hook the widget up to the widget.
Tumblr media
This is a new input system I made which will help the dialogue input system take place in the vent graphs. Ended up not being used due to overlapping.
Tumblr media
This is what helps the input system what keys ton use to activate the input.
Tumblr media
This code also ended up being useless, due to the Enhanced Input system going unused due to overlapping.
Tumblr media
This also ended up being unused as it was just a prompt saying press a to talk. However, a copy was made to improve the current dialogue system, as the oiriginal one stopped working. The test one is the one I am currently using and ended up working better than the dialogue box widget for some odd reason.
Tumblr media
This is the test one that works better than the original dialogue box.
Tumblr media
This is the binding for the current dialogue system.
Write it up tomorrow.
Dialogue System Process Video 5.
youtube
This is a video, showcasing my process for the dialogue system in my game.
Playtest:
youtube
This is a video, showcasing me playtesting my game with the dialogue system.

Reviews
Mr. Levan Dvalishvili Chief (Software Architect) at solarspace.io said Hands down the most developer friendly package that I have worked with.. A+++++
platform we tried out Metronic. I can not overestimate the impact Metronic has had. Its accelerated development 3x and reduced QA issues by 50%. If you add up the reduced need for design time/resources, the increase in dev speed and the reduction in QA, it’s probably saved us $100,000 on this project alone, and I plan to use it for all platforms moving forward. The flexibility of the design has also allowed us to put out a better looking & working platform and reduced my headaches by 90%. Thank you KeenThemes! Jonathan Bartlett, Metronic Customer
Metronic is an incredible template. Even with purchasing an extended license, the cost savings is immeasurable. The code & CSS is well organized and while it is feature rich, it is not bloated. It was quickly integrated into our relatively complex product and had ready-made UX for our many use cases. Where we needed to extend functionality, this system made it incredibly easy. A tremendous job by the Metronic team.  Fatica, Metronic Customer
Conclusion
In conclusion, Metronic Html Template is an excellent choice for developers and businesses alike. It comes loaded with features, is compatible with a wide range of popular frameworks and platforms, and is available at an affordable price. Whether you’re building a new dashboard from scratch or looking to upgrade an existing one, this Template is definitely worth considering.

May I please request (for the brothers and dateables) how they do PDA if they do it at all? Thank you in advance! If you don't wanna, just ignore this ask. ^-^ Hope you're having a great day/night!
Thank you for the ask <3
Sorry that I can't do the later datatables :(, but let's see what the stats are on public display of affection >:D
The level of PDA wil be announced by the amount of: ♡ out of 5
most of The Obey Me cast! x Gender neutral reader
Lucifer ♡♡
He never does it when Diavolo is around. If you still do it when he is around, Lucifer will try to pretend that your touch doesn't exist. When Diavolo notices it he'll brush it off, but you can tell that Lucifer enjoys it a lot. He shows his affection in public a little more with words of affirmation then PDA.
-Most common PDA type is: A kiss on the cheek or holding hands
Mammon ♡♡♡♡♡
Mammon does it whenever he can. He wants everyone to know you are his and he is yours<3. Kissing, hugging you name it.
-Most common PDA type is: Long lingering kisses and I can see him as the type to put his hands in the back pocket of your pants X.X.
Leviathan♡♡
He will never initiate it first, but really wants to! He is scared of people judging him. OMG imagine linking pinkies together?? AHHH. He especially wants it when he is feeling very nervous or anxious
-Most common PDA type is: Linking pinkies
Asmodeus ♡♡♡♡♡
When are his hands not on you? If you tell him that he is touching you too much, he'll dim it down of course. Your comfort comes first <3. He just has the urge to touch you so much, to the point that he unknowingly gets irritated when he has not held you enough for the day.
-Most common PDA type is: Back hugs and affectionate strokes over your leg
Satan ♡♡♡
He holds your hands so often. ALSO KISSES ON YOUR FOREHEAD?!?!?!? AHJAVVADJHVDJ sorry. It helps him relieve anger when your hand is physically there to ground him. He also sees it as a way that he can show off that you like him more than Lucifer.
-Most common PDA type is: Hand holding and forehead kisses
Beelzebub ♡♡♡♡
He is so used to being affectionate towards Belphie that he automatically does it to you too. It is so cute. He will just carry you everywhere, at first it was to "work out more on the go" but later continued it because he loves you to bits.
-Most common PDA type is: Piggybackrides, long hugs and headpats
Belphegor♡♡♡
He is a hanging plant, you are its support. Whether you like it or not. He just feels super safe and comfortable around you, so falling asleep on you is common. When he is awake he'll lean in for a neck kiss, just to tease you.
-Most common PDA type is: Thigh sleeping, shoulder naps and subtle neck kisses
Diavolo ♡♡♡♡
He wants you by his side at all times. I see him as a guy who holds you by the waist. He is just so happy to have you and wants to show how much he loves you. It is extremely distracting for the others when you are on his lap in meetings.
-Most common PDA type is: Waist holding and lap sitting
Barbatos ♡
He does not do PDA, mostly because he is 'on the job' 24/7. When he does have the time, he will opt for the two of you being alone so he can properly show you his affection and love.
-Most common PDA type is: A kiss on your hand
Simeon ♡♡
I think that he is an act of service kinda man, but he definitely publicly shows that he loves you whenever you see each other. The soft glimmer in his eye clearly shows that he only has eyes for you. Luke has no choice but to just watch.
-Most common PDA type is: Holding your hand and holding softly stroking your shoulder.
Solomon ♡♡
I think he shows love more with his words than his body. However when he is talking to someone, he will occasionally softly pull you towards him. He'll do it more when the demon brothers are around.
-Most common PDA type is: A hand gently pressed on your back

I am so excited for your upcoming women- writers' app and api!
Tumblr media
Hiya! 💗
Thank you so much! My goal is to provide a platform that celebrates and amplifies the voices of women writers, making it easier for everyone to discover and engage with their work. I appreciate your support!
However, the project is currently on-hold as I am trying to find a proper cloud-based database service that I can use with little money. I have come to either Google Cloud SQL or Amazon RDS to store the table's data remotely. Then again, I need to figure out how to use it 😅
Then I have to get to learning how to make an API from scratch. Since I want to use JavaScript, just to expand my knownlege on JavaScript even further, I would have to use a server-side JavaScript runtime environment like Node.js, which allows me to write server-side code using JavaScript.
Someone on here has also suggested I market/get traffic for this project so I will also have to plan how I can do that! Thinking maybe creating a mini webpage explaining what the project is, get help for filling out the datatable (really happy as there are a lot of women writers out there), might get help for setting up the official webiste of "Her Story".
Basically there's a lot to do, and I didn't expect it to be easy! Previous projects I have done have been fairly "easy" so I wanted a challenge and here it is! I want to take my time with this project, I don't want to mess up too many times on something like this - too precious to me!

Hello all well? I saw that you wrote my order, (and I loved it! Bell's reaction was so cute!) and I wanted to know if I could make another pocket-sized version of the mc so with the datatables + luke ?
Hello! I really enjoyed writing it the last time thank you so much for requesting it!!
Pocket sized MC pt. 2
GN!MC
Fluff
Tw: Solomon’s cooking
———————————————
Oh you silly MC messing around with Solomon again. After so many accidents you still do it. Well this time you got cursed for a week because of it.
Tumblr media
Diavolo
At first he was a bit panicked because you were an exchange student and he didn’t want anyone to know it had happened so he just kept you in his castle
I don’t know why but I think he would have those like little versions of different items (like chairs, utensils, tv etc.) so he would just build you a little living area until you got back to normal
Asked Barbatos for help in making food you could eat
Lost a piece of his jewellery a few decades back so you offered to look at small spaces for him
When you turned back he made sure to keep you away from Solomon because he couldn’t risk something like that happening again
Barbatos
I have a feeling he would do that little polite laugh of his although he already knew it happened
He would gently take you from Solomon and thank him for bringing you to him
Teases you a bit and doesn’t let it go. After you turned back he would jump at every chance he gets to remind you of what happened
Makes sure to take care of you even tho you are so small. Cooks such good meals like amazingly good, Chefs kiss <3
Let’s you help with adding spices if he needs just a tiny amount <3
Solomon
Well it’s his fault so he has to fix it because if he doesn’t Lucifer and Diavolo would be at his throat. Actually more Lucifer than Diavolo because Diavolo is baby
He would hide you from everyone because he doesn’t want to have Lucifer on his back. Probably had to pay Mammon not to tell anyone because he found out somehow
Told everyone you had to go back to the human world because of an emergency
He would magically make the food he ate your size and you ate a few bites smiling weakly feeling like you were actually being poisoned
For a few weeks after you turned back you always found an excuse when he invited you somewhere with him
Simeon
He would laugh at how cute your miniature version looked like when you were angry
When you stayed with them you realised that Simeon is very strict and you couldn’t do anything really without him knowing about it and scolding you
It made you want to run away back to the house of lamentation-
I mean it wasn’t all that bad he just had a way of keeping peace in the house <3
After you turned back you were easier to take care of and he wasn’t all that strict anymore. He admitted after that he was just worried that you don’t get stepped on <3
Luke
“I knew those demons would do something to MC I knew- oh it was Solomon? Well maybe it’s not so bad right? He can fix it!”
Would always carry you in his arms like he was holding water or hide you under his hat like a little ratatouille moment <3
He made sure you stayed safe like the little guarding angel he is <3
Made little sweets for you so you could enjoy what he made as well <3
When you turned back to your usual size he still protected you from those scary demons and asked if he could hold your hand so he doesn’t lose you. But he isn’t scared pfffft no haha

tagatha dating simulator au
- It’s sunday night and local college student, Agatha, hasn’t sleep in two days, practically glued to her chair at the library, trying to absorb the maximum of information she possibly could before finals on monday morning.
- Sitting across from her is her roommate and best friend, Sophie, who doesn’t seem nearly as concerned, playing a game on her phone. Mostly because she already failed half of her courses and is considering dropping out of college to pursue a modeling career, why try at this point-
- Agatha appreciates that Sophie is keeping her company, she really does, but even if her friend was using headphones, Agatha can still hear the background music and the voice actors very clearly. That on its own was distracting enough, but it was always the same lines, with the background music looping as Sophie restarted the game prologue over and over again.
- Around the fifth time she hears the app-staring-exclamation ‘milady!’ her eye starts twitching.
- By the twelfth she slams her book shut, earning herself a glare from all the remaining students in the library.
- “How terrible do you have to be at a game to not be able to get through the prologue?” she whisper-shouts, taking the sit beside Sophie, looking at the screen.
- “That’s not the problem,” her friend defends, proceeding to explain the game.
- Trial by Tale is a recently released dating simulator that has managed to gather a cult-like following. The game was praised for its diverse range of LIs, well-written routes, stellar voice acting, high-quality art style and a beautiful soundtrack. It was apparently highly addicting as well, as Agatha had never seen Sophie be that invested in... any game... like, ever.
- Basically, the main character was transported inside a fairytale-fantasy-like world, where they were introduced as a ‘reader’ to compete in the ‘trial by tale’, a inter-worldly tournament, set up by a mysterious entity (a magical pen known as ‘the storian’), in which the winner would be granted an unconditional wish.
- “Original,” Agatha snorts.
- “Can you just shut up and listen?”
- During the prologue, the main character meets most of the main LIs and according to the player’s decisions, the game would put them into a specific route, based on affection levels with each datatable character.
- There were about thirty bad endings for the casual route (where the player either made stupid choices or didn’t gather enough affection with any LI), ranging from mildly sad to terribly gory. Then, each route had five early bad endings, that could happen during the trial, resulting in the main character’s death.
- If the player managed to win the tournament with the LI, bargaining with the storian for the survival of two competitors, then two new endings would be unlocked: a normal ending, in which the reader would wish to go home and a happy ending, in which the reader wished to remain forever in the fairytale world living happily ever after with their partner.
- “And that’s where it gets weird,” Sophie pauses, opening up the Trial By Tale wiki page. “Every single LI has a walkthrough and seven possible endings.”
- She shows Agatha a bunch of characters, offering some commentary on their personalities and backstories. Then, she pauses at the last. "All but one." The character is the prettiest, if not a bit too perfect. ‘Tedros of Camelot’, it says on the top of his page, his basic info and biography listed to the side, but it’s full of gaps, blanks and ‘???’s. It was mentioned that he was a dateable character, yet no  walkthrough was provided.
- “Why doesn’t it say anything? Has he not been released?”
- “No one has managed to get his route so far, but according to the game developers, it’s possible. We don’t even know what his voice sounds like.”
- “And you think you will because…?”
- “I’m me. I’m getting Tedros’ route even if it’s the last thing I’ll do.”
- Agatha decides to leave her be, going back to the books, while asking for her to at least lower the volume.
- An hour or so goes by until Sophie grows hungry and decides to leave the library, going back to the dorm. After that, Agatha finally manages to concentrate, and time goes by in a flash.
- In fact, it passes so quickly that she’s not even sure what time it was. When did everyone leave?
- Her phone is dead and the clock on the wall is frozen at midnight. Probably broken, Agatha decides. It couldn’t be midnight, the lights were still on, the library closed at 10:30pm sharp and no one came to kick her out. She was tired, but she wasn’t deaf. She calls for the librarian.
- All the lights turn off at once. She’d be lying if she said it didn’t freak her out a bit.
- Then, she notices a blue glow from under the table. Please don’t let it be a demon.
- It’s a smartphone, with a bedazzled case, a loading blue screen emitting the light. Trial By Tale’s soundtrack starts to play and soon enough the words appear. Touch anywhere to start. That was Sophie’s phone. Which would be fine and normal and okay if Agatha wasn’t pretty sure Sophie left with it.
- The music starts to loop, and Agatha uses the light to guide her to the entrance, only to find it locked. Every other exit was blocked as well. Ha. Funny.
- Eventually, she surrenders, clicking on the screen, trying to close the app. The last thing she hears is ‘milady!’ and everything turns black as she feels the floor disappear from under her feet, her consciousness fading as she fell into an abyss of darkness.
- She wakes up lying on grass, near a gate, the words Trial By Tale engraved on top of it.
- She pinches herself, feeling it sting as she stared at the gate, pinching harder and harder to the point she nearly screamed in pain. The gate was still there. Agatha focus on her senses. She’s never able to smell things on her dreams.
- This place smells like dirt, pines, dried blood and iron.
- It’s a dream, she tries to convince herself. Very vivid dream, but it’s a dream.
- A bunch of floating text appears in front of her: Welcome, competitors!
- The storian tells Agatha everything Sophie already told her: it’s a tournament, in which 40 teens from different fairytale kingdoms, including the reader world, must compete amongst themselves for survival during 24 hours. You could pair up with someone, forming an alliance, but there could only be one winner. Then, the world froze, turning black and white, three options appearing in thin air:
A: I’m a boy
B: I’m a girl
C: I’m neither/both/something else.
- Agatha experiments. The text didn’t respond to her voice or gestures; she had to touch it. B. They disappeared up in smoke, being replaced by a new choice:
A: climb over the gate early
B: go in as soon as the gong goes off
C: run into the woods
- All of those sound horrible, she’ll hang around here, thank you very much.
- Agatha decides to pick B, because it sounded the least likely to get her killed. Tapping the option, color returns and more texts appears, telling her the rest of the rules. Apparently, all forms of magic and weapons were allowed, as it was a tournament to the death.
- Well, she had neither a weapon nor any magic, geez, things were certainly looking up.
- A gong can be heard and Agatha waits for her legs to magically move according to her choice.
- They don’t.
- She debates on staying put for a few minutes, maybe way too many, but then she remembers: casual route endings vary from mildly sad to terribly gory. Agatha doesn’t wanna find out which one she’d get by sticking around.
- Her future now depends on her romancing one of these pieces of code. Thankfully, it was just a dream, right?
- Inside the arena (?), she gets some other choices, which Agatha uses to her advantage, trying to figure out which LI she was going for and how to win them over.
- Hort, according to her friend, was the easiest to please and the most boring of them all. Nicola was efficient and Sophie had managed to unlock her happy ending without a walkthrough. Aric was a psycho, and so was Japeth. Don’t pick Rhian, her friend had warned. Anadil was a hard one to guess without the walkthough, Hester was super hot and Agatha’s type but that could go very wrong (clearly her type wasn’t working out, as she was painfully single) and-
- Is that Japeth or Rhian? She can’t tell, but he’s coming her way.
A: introduce yourself
B: try to kill him
C: hide behind the rock
- She chooses C, but climbs a tree instead, because he surely would be able to see her behind the rock, was he blind or something?
- “You sure are taking your time choosing,” a voice whispers from the branch above her, nearly giving her a heart attack, “...first time player maybe? Or just dumb?”
- Tedros, the mysterious character, was looking down at her, resting on a higher branch.
- Agatha glares at him before blurting: “You’re shorter than you look on your CG.”
- He chokes. “You can hear me?”
- “Why are you british?” she notices the accent, given how different it sounded from all the other voice actors.
- “I’m bi,” he frowns at her in offended confusion.
- (The himbo energy in this bus is astronomical.)
- They bicker a bit and Japeth grows suspicious of the hushed conversation, nearing the tree. Tedros asks for her help taking him down. Agatha is like, sure, whatever at this point, just trying to forget that Tedros broke the fourth wall. It’s a dream, don’t overthink too much.
- She distracts Japeth, and Tedros tries to ambush him, but it backfires horribly, resulting in Tedros now being a few seconds away from dying a very very painful death.
A: run away
B: ally yourself with Japeth
- Agatha hesitates over option A, convincing herself that Tedros wasn’t a real person. He was a just a character in a game. But while the entire world is black and white waiting for her answer, she swears his eyes remain icy blue.
- Trick of the light?
- She presses A but throws herself towards Japeth, colliding with him. Agatha ends up being stabbed in the arm, but otherwise fine, which is more than Japeth can say, as he fell into a conveniently located black hole. That hurt like a bitch, how is this a dream?
- Tedros is shook.
- “What did you do? How did you even-” he eyes the blood in her arm. “You’re bleeding!” Tedros rips his shirt to wrap it around the wound, and Agatha does her best not to stare at him while he tends to the wound.
- A blue ribbon in the sky tells Agatha she is now on Tedros’ route. A ribbon they can both read.
- “That’s… troublesome.”
- “What, is your route cursed or something?”
- “...”
- “It’s totally cursed, isn’t it?”
- They argue a bunch and Agatha tries to ditch him but ends up almost dying twice. Tedros saves her, and insists that since he accidentally gave her his route, he’ll help her stay alive for as long as he can.
- Together they figure out that Agatha’s ability to disobey the game choices might be able to uncurse his route, hopefully sending her home by the end and resetting the game as it was meant to be, allowing people play his route.
- Agatha is pretty sure Tedros is not telling her something, but she kinda does owns him her life now (“2x1, sucks to suck, reader.”) and he offered to share some of his food and hiding spot with her. Doesn’t hurt that he clearly knew how to fight and had a big sword, while Agatha had.... free will and nothing else apparently???
- They end up talking over fruits and water (we love a healthy king) in a cave and Agatha finds out basically every other character’s backstory, learning a ton about the context of these trials as well as what the game felt like for the characters.
- According to Tedros, every other character was doomed to repeat the same route and actions following the reader’s choices, only to lose all memories by the end, as the game reseted. They were all blissfully ignorant of the fact that this was, in fact, a dating simulator. All of them but Tedros. When Agatha asks him why, he closes off:
- “Every single character has a core wish they want fulfilled. It can be the same wish every time, or it can change once your route resets. My original wish contradicted the memory reset, so no one has been able to play my route at all. And if no one plays, I can’t reset. If you go home and the game resets, I’ll make a different wish and my route should be fixed for good.”
- Agatha doesn’t ask what he wished for and he doesn’t tell her either; it feels like way too personal of a question for strangers eating berries in a cave.
- She does ask him what his new wish will be, though.
 - “I’ll restore my kingdom back to its former glory,” he starts, a certain sadness in his eyes. “They deserve a prince who doesn’t waste time wishing for-” Tedros interrupts himself, telling her about his kingdom instead.
- Agatha knows he’s related to King Arthur due to his name on the Trial By Tale wiki, but she’s surprised that he actually gives her that info willingly. He is indeed the prince of Camelot, but his mother abandoned the palace when he was nine and then his father died a few years later, sending the kingdom into despair and disgrace.
- (“That’s rough, buddy.”)
- To lighten the mood, she decides to tell him about ‘the reader world’.
- “To exist in your world might be something then,” he smiles, “I mean, beats hanging around here. You said you have a machine that can play music anytime you want?”
 - Tedros is fascinated with everything and asks her about all sorts of stuff, like about politics, lgbtqa+ rights, tik tok, food, the economy, school and fashion trends. Also, memes, lots of memes.
- They spend like 8 hours straight hidden in a cave, just talking, bickering and actually having a lot of fun. The lack of choices even makes her forget she was still in a game.
- Tedros notices how tired she looks and offers to keep watch while she sleeps.
A: say no as a joke
B: outright refuse
- Agatha taps A.
- “Sure, do you mind if I lean on you though?”
- Is this like a date or are we like doing my route and you’re sleeping on my arm platonically? Tedros is shook, part 2.
- Agatha tries not to fall asleep, but she does take a nap, leaning on his shoulder. Surprisingly enough, an hour later she’s still alive, but her head was now on his lap and he was petting her hair.
- “Hi.”
- “Hi.”
A: get up
B: kiss him
- She doesn’t wanna get up, but she doesn’t really feel like kissing him would be appropriate for the moment. She presses B, yet remains still for next few minutes. Tedros looks a bit disappointed, as if he was waiting for her.
- “Aren’t you going to kiss me?”
- “Do you want me to?”
- He doesn’t reply immediately, running his fingers through her hair. “Everyone wants to kiss me. I’m hot, I’m a prince and I’m rich.”
- “You’re gonna need to do better than that to get me to kiss you,” Agatha tells him. “If we survive this I’ll kiss you once, just before we unlock your normal ending and I go home. For a CG.”
- “But then I won’t remember it at all.”
- The comment makes her nervous. Once this is over and Tedros gets his route unlocked, he’s gonna be just another character. He’ll say things like that to everyone. Agatha has to chastise herself for growing attached to a video game character. He’s not real. He wasn’t yours to begin with, you’ve known him for less than a day. Get a grip.
- They stay in silence until another gong goes off, the storian’s text showing up in the air: “12 hours left. Only 10 competitors remain.”
A: stay in the cave
B: leave
- Agatha chooses B and they head out of the cave to see who else was alive, just in time to not be crushed under heavy rocks. Strangely they don’t bump into anyone. What they do run into, though, is a bunch of traps and creatures meant to randomly eliminate competitors. Great.
- Somehow, Agatha always chooses the right option and alters her actions just enough to save them at the last minute. Is she a pro-gamer? One can only marvel at how lucky she’s been getting in this game. No, but like, really, is she? Tedros is impressed.
- At the 6 hour mark, there’s 4 people left, including the two of them. He’s been eyeing Agatha weirdly and she doesn’t know what to think of it because she liked hanging out with him, but at the same time, he is a piece of code.
- There’s like, a dramatic confrontation with the other two competitors, which turn out to be Aric and Hester, not as a pair, but as individuals, and it ends up working out in Tedros and Agatha’s favor, as those two end up murdering each othe while Tedros and Agatha have the advantage of teamwork. It’s a great action sequence, but if you’ve read this far, I’m pretty sure you’re not here for the action.
- Anyway, the storian appears, but unlike the other routes, instead of giving Agatha the opportunity to bargain for them both to survive, her options are:
A: kill Tedros
B: kill Tedros
- Agatha doesn’t tap either. She stays still, glaring at the pen while the world remained black and white.
- Then, the entire arena starts to shake, the game glitching as Tedros moves, his colors fading in and out, his expression tortured, as if just smiling at her was painful, his eyes glowing unnaturally blue. “Let’s get you home,” he mouths, before stabbing himself with his own sword, falling to the floor as the colors returned for good.
- Agatha couldn’t breathe, kneeling beside him.
- “To meet someone who’d love me for me,” he admits, bleeding out into the ground, a single tear running down his face. “That was my original wish. And then I met you.”
- She kisses him on the lips, and as you know, true love’s kiss breaks every spell, heals every wound and transcends the limits of storytelling.
- Tedros’ chest is slowly healing, but just as he gets stronger, Agatha grows weaker, starting to disappear through his fingers in rays of lights, back to the reader’s world, leaving a lonely prince by himself in a bloody arena with a magical pen.
- “Unconditional wish for the winner, hm?”
- Back at the library, Agatha wakes up with a snap, falling off her chair.
- The clock on the wall reads 10pm and the few students left at the library glare at her. She hurries to gather her things in her arms, going back to her dorm trying to make sense of what just happened. It was all a dream. It had to be because her arm is intact. She has been running on too much caffeine, finals start the next morning, she was stressed, that’s all.
- Sophie is still playing the game once Agatha arrives at the dorm, and as soon as she walks in, her friend tells her the news:
- “See, darling, I told you I’d get Chaddick’s route eventually!”
- Chaddick’s route?
- Agatha doesn’t even reply, going straight to bed, still haunted. That night, she has no dreams of handsome boys in caves, neither does she dream of blue-eyed princes bleeding out.
- Monday afternoon, though, a distracted Agatha is walking back to her dorm after taking her exams, when she bumps into someone, nearly knocking her over. She is about to yell at the stranger when her voice gets caught on her throat.
- “To exist in your world might be something,” the familiar stranger smiles at her, “I mean, I’m Tedros Pendragon, nice to meet you.”

Emily in Paris episode 4, or how I never got that thing about peanut butter
It's been a long time since I had revisited Miss Cooper's adventures in Paris, and many of you are over it anyway, but I was asked to go on with this so, why not? For that I had to rewatch again episode 4 and be reminded of one of its better characters/reasons to watch/whatever you want to call her. Camille. Oh I love Camille. Just like I love Sylvie. It's harsh, when in a series your least favourite character is the main one. Isn't it? but let's take a look to episode 4.
Tumblr media
At the beginning of this episode we find our heroine trying to communicate with a very mysantropic flower seller. As we discover few minutes later, it's not that she's hostile with Emily and wants to give her a bouquet of wilting roses because she's a bubbly American but because she hates humanity. This last part is relatable but it's not good to have a job when you have to confront it constantly. Calm down Madame.
Tumblr media
Fortunately a young, gentle Frenchwoman shows up and comes to Emily's rescue, not in a shining armour but with a smile the size of Jupiter. Evil flower seller is defeated and Emily walks away with this charming stranger and a perfect rose bouquet. Our new character's name is Camille, and she speaks good English because she watched a lot of series in her childhood. That's why we Spaniards are legendary bad at speaking other languages I guess. Everything is dubbed! Including this episode when I rewatched it. Not a copy in the original language available right now for me. Disappointing, I know.
Camille also invites Emily to the art gallery where she works at and where a famous hotelier is supposed to show up, along with other people from Chicago. Emily is a fan - its a bit weird to be fan of a hotelier, but who am I to judge - , definitely, and wants to meet him. It's also a good professional occasion, probably. The two girls part ways after accidentaly kissing on the mouth. Emily apologizes. Camille is not sorry at all and disappears from scene, big shining smile and all. We agree and are not sorry at all.
Tumblr media
Back at home she finds the packages she was expecting from home have finally arrived. Gabriel helps up to take all that stuff inside her apartment. Unfortunately for her, the peanut butter exploded and has made a mess of what looks like a pile of magazines and the framed photo with her ex. Gabriel makes that unmistakable face. Peanut butter? Yours truly, having spent her childhood and teenagehood watching movies and series from the other side of the Atlantic, always wondered what was that thing. When finally tried it it was... so weird. Maybe it was the brand, maybe it was the concept. Who really knows. Whatever, let's go on.
Tumblr media
(Yes, he makes that face, the face of a puzzled European I meant).
Also, I am sure Emily can find that thing in Paris, too. I live in a not very big town in Southern Spain and that thing can be found in our supermarkets. So why not in Paris? Big question that the series doesn't answer, tho, because Gabriel proceeds to ruin peanut butter forever with a simple omelette. Well done, Gabriel. But it's time to go to the office, isn't it?
So here we are, with Antoine and Sylvie clearly in the middle of an argument. While claiming she hopes she's not interrupting, Emily does interrupt the scene. Remember that thing from the last chapter when she claimed she had given up in her quest of being universally liked and/or being friends with everyone including her boss? Yeah, nevermind, that's in the past, it no longer matters. Emily tries to mediate and says Randy Zimmer (that's the hotelier's name) is overjoyed to hear Antoine's company is creating an exclusive scent for his hotels.
Tumblr media
Sylvie goes on with Emily's lie, even if we can see she's not happy and later states - while throwing the bouquet or roses she just gave her as a "happy Tuesday" present on her desk - that she doesn't need to be rescued, and she doesn't want to take credit for ideas she doesn't know if she really likes. Sylvie is always the voice of reason and adulthood here. She teases her about the lingerie thing, tho. Emily claims her new friend Gabriel gave it to her.
I don't know about Sylvie, but Luc and Julien clearly don't believe that last bit, as they say clearly to Emily over the lunch. This is a dysfunctional workplace, she complains. Hey, smart girl, you are causing all the drama, Julien answers. His mood during the entire scene is exasperated. They tell her how Antoine and Sylvie became lovers in the first place, and warn her not to come between them. I don't think Emily has that intention.
Tumblr media
Later that same day, Mindy is full of chaotic energy. Who cares if Antoine is married and with an official misstress? Why is Emily so disperate about becoming friends with Sylvie - yeah, Mindy, why, many of us are questioning that part of Emily's behaviour - why don't just enjoy Antoine's attention? What's more, why doesn't Emily introduce her to Antoine, since she doesn't care about what's her name? Is Mindy shipping Emily and Camille? Yes, she's one of us.
Our favourite French girl is there and warmly welcomes Emily, introducing her to Randy Zimmer who, clearly, goes to the same hairdresser than Antoine. No, really, I have certain difficulties to make the difference between the two, if Randy was wearing a suit with a tie I couldn't tell. As Camille and her fabulous bun walk away, Emily behaves like a dork with Randy. She has memorized his interviews and all. Is a bit awkward, but who am I to judge about memorizing completely irrelevant things in interviews. Randy goes from feeling a bit awkward to intrigued to totes wanting her card and finding her proposition interesting. By the way I really liked these paintings.
Tumblr media
Randy shows up the next day at Savoir, and after smelling fragances all they agree they could go on talking about the deal with Randy's hotel empire over a good dinner. Sylvie decides to put again our heroine in difficulties by asking for an impossible reservation. By the way, I love her outfit. Sylvie, not Emily's. As she tries to do her best, Emily confronts Antoine over the lingerie thing. She clearly says it's inappropriate which is a thing I can agree with, he says he bought it for her not for him (eeeeh... are you all right?)
Even in front of the restaurant Sylvie is esceptical Emily really succeeded in her mission of doing that reservation. As usual, she's right. Emily got the dates backwards and made a reservation for November, not August. It should have been easy to find that bit of information online, as most of the world follows another datation system. Fortunately Emily lights the Gabrielsignal on and he comes to her rescue again.
Tumblr media
The dinner is, as expected, a success, since we are in the last minutes of the episode a.k.a. in the Emily is saved time. There's a deal, Antoine is very happy with Savoir AND Sylvie. Even the latter makes a compliment to our heroine as they leave after the dinner. Less enthusiast individuals would have felt overjoyed in her place, so it's not strange that Emily decides to thank Gabriel for saving her ass, even if it's with another part of her body, that's is, her lips. Gabriel doesn't seem to object to this.
Tumblr media
But, oh surprise in this Paris that is like "a little town" (ok... series... I am rolling my eyes at you again) a she goes out of the restaurant she bumps into our dear Camille, all smiles and charm. It turns out that she is Gabriel girlfriend. Ouch. This could be solved with a civilized chat and our three characters, that, we are about to find in the next chapters, get along together, being happy with this situation and riding into the sunset while enjoying themselves. Yeah, the three of them. Writers, unfortunately, have decided otherwise. But that's another story and will be told in another post.

Hello I was wondering if you can help me. I am writing a character review of a fictional character for psychology so we can decide if they have any mental health issues. I have chosen Count Olaf, can you point me in the way of any useful quotes to show this. For example, Olaf torturing ants as a child, or be living he is ‘the greatest actor in the world’ is a sign of delusion etc. I’ve tried looking through your posts for any background information on him. Warmest regards, R.
Hello, @thesensiblesloth!
I am not a licensed profesional when it comes to mental health issues, so I’d refrain from diagnosing any character from the series. Especially in a series where so many character descriptions can be so… vague, often deliberately because Handler wants us to interpret the characters’ behaviour through our own lens rather than his.
The scientific principlesof the convergence and refraction of light are very confusing, and quitefrankly I can’t make head or tail of them, even when my friend Dr. Lorenzexplains them to me. But they made perfect sense to Violet. Instantly, shethought of a story her father had told her, long ago, when she was justbeginning to be interested in science. When her father was a boy, he’d had adreadful cousin who liked to burn ants, starting a fire by focusing the lightof the sun with her magnifying glass. Burning ants, of course, is an abhorrenthobby-the word “abhorrent” here means “what Count Olaf used todo when he was about your age”-but remembering the story made Violet seethat she could use the lens of the spying glass to focus the light of the moonand make a fire.
[…]
Her father’s ant-burningcousin sounded like a dreadful person, but if she had suddenly appeared on thesailboat Violet would have given her a big grateful hug.[The Wide Window, Chapter Eleven — Lemony Snicket]
Given that Olaf is a semi-professional liar, it’s even harder to interpret the discrepancy between his lies and his truths. For example he frequently derides people of culture even though he clearly is one of them. His spelling is atrocious and he has some gaps in his education, but he clearly appreciates literature enough to remember poems and even wrote plays under the alias of Al Funcoot. It’s clear he puts on a persona for most of the books but where that persona ends and begins is difficult to attest.
I briefly wondered whether Olaf could classify as a victim of childhood trauma but the datation of parents’ murder is a topic of contention. We don’t know for sure if it happened somewhere during his childhood, teenagehood or adulthood. He is clearly showing delusions of grandeur near the end of the series (particularly as he lands on the island in “The End”) but that’s more of a symptom than a disorder. From the point of view of the Baudelaire orphans, he’d probably be categorized as a narcissist, a megalomaniac, a psychopath, a sadist or any popular adjective which glossy magazines like to label on people they don’t like.
In reality, Olaf is probably “just” a victim of child abuse who grew up to become a traumatized asshole. He probably went through something similar to what the Baudelaire orphans and he has deluded himself into thinking that putting others through what he suffered is a form of justice. But I don’t think Daniel Handler ever intended him to fit any mental disorder. He has a history of addressing mental health issues into his works and when he does it’s usually more overt. Josephine Anwhistle shows signs of hypervigilance, Hector could qualify as social anxiety… But with Olaf it’s less clear.
Then again, good luck with your character review. All in all the only way I could help you is to refer to particular quotes/passages from the books which could fit one symptom or another, but you’d need to tell me what traits you’re looking for.

Mos ler or.Actually ulu dhe meso ne shpi.Do jet boring por actually duhet ta kesh mendjen ne leksione.Ji aktive ne seminare. Ngrije doren te pakten 2 her.Mos harro qe aty ke vajtur per diplomen dhe jo per te shijuar rinin.Te gjith do te te ftojn te lesh or. DON'T.Bej shoqeri me gocat qe jan si robot mbas mesimeve, dhe do kesh mundesi ti kerkosh detyrat dhe te behesh me ato neper projekte grupi.Meso sistematikisht, se pastaj vjen sezoni dhe te duket sikur esht "The Judgement Day".Mos ki frik te pyesesh per gjerat qe nuk i ke kuptuar. I behet qefi, like you care.Mos i kundershto presoret. Bej sa me shum "kontakte" . Neser pasneser te gjith do jen neper punet e tyre dhe nuk esht asnjiher keq te kesh kontakte.Merr pjes te aktivitet e shkolles se zakonisht japin extra credits.INFORMOJI ATA TE SHPIS GJITH KOHES SE SI PO SHKON ME MESIME. EDHE KUR JE KEQ INFORMOI SE ME MIR TA DIN GRADUALISHT QE JE VK ME MESIME, SE SA TJUA PLASESH SI BOMB MBAS 3 VITESH.Mos harroni qe uni, nuk esht as pjesa me e rendesishme dhe as pjesa me sfiduese e jetes.Mos e merrni me stres. Zyshat dhe presoret don't give a shit about you, kshu qe mos ju anko atyre por ankohu ne sekretari. Kto jan vetem general tips nga eksperienca ime.Actually uluni studioni, dhe mbasi te mbaroni punet e shkolles, jeni te lir ti qini ropt te dilni, te beheni tap, te shfrenoheni fare, dhe te shijoni rinin..... Por pa harruar qe neser keni shkoll prap.Hope this helps. 🐻❤️🤗 Xhan
