fargo is so good esp when Lorraine is telling some random billionare that he's going to die a lonely death and that his children are going to set on fire and that he's actually poor and ugly and then EVERY TIME Danish is just standing there with the phone like
The preview for next week's episode shows Dot seemingly talking to Lorraine and Indira on the phone from the ranch. These previews can be misleading, so it's possible she's talking to someone else.
Either way, whose phone is it?
My first thought was that she took Karen's phone, because we've seen Dot knock Karen out with the butt of a rifle -- both in this preview and others in the past.
If she calls Lorraine, that complicates things. Does she know Lorraine's number by heart? Would Lorraine have her cell number publicly available to look up online?
Then I thought about how much attention this week's episode drew to Danish's phone. We see him looking at his favorites list (almost all Lorraine at various numbers) and later rejecting a call and putting the phone back in his pocket.
Obviously this is to demonstrate Danish's conflicted feelings about whether to talk to Lorraine before going to the ranch. But is it also foreshadowing that the phone will show up again?
It's been established that Roy's guys are sloppy. Is it possible that Danish's phone fell out of his pocket when they were moving his body from the house to the windmill? Will Dot find it while she's creeping around the ranch?
If she does, she'd have Lorraine's number (four of them, in fact) right there at her fingertips.
Of course, the last time Dot had anything to do with Lorraine, she was having her committed. Would she trust her enough to call? Did Danish showing up at the ranch give her enough reason?
Better yet, maybe Lorraine will call Danish, not realizing what's happened to him, and Dot will pick up.
I think that Ned from The Try Guys should be replaced with the song "Snooker Loopy" by Chas & Dave. If you don't understand how a song about snooker can replace a human being in Youtube videos, then let me explain.
Whenever there is a moment in their old videos that involves Ned Iammarriedmywife, it should cut to a blank screen and then Snooker Loopy should play very loudly on the soundtrack, until it is time for someone else. This is done for all parts where it is just Ned on screen.
If more than one person is in shot, then the blank screen can be ignored in favour of a giant PNG of Willie Thorne's head, covering the space where the bewildering nob-happy American man once was.
And to end this, here is the chorus of the popular song Snooker Loopy.
Snooker loopy nuts are we
Me and him and them and me
We'll show you what we can do
With a load of balls and a snooker cue
Pot the reds then screw it back
For the yellow, green, brown, blue, pink and black
Snooker loopy nuts are we
We're all snooker... loopy
So. April happened.
You may have noticed I barely posted this month. This is the first time since I relaunched my blog in 2021 that I have NOT posted a single review in a month. I feel a bit guilty about that, but April was a roller coaster of a month with lots of good and bad mixed in.
The Good: First, I started off the month with a visit to my family in NC for nearly two weeks. And then I…
Saxophone History Podcast Episodes 7-9 Paul Desmond
I’ve just released the third and final episode on Paul Desmond for the Saxophone history podcast and I think the three episodes are quite an interesting story. Just like with the other saxophonists I’ve looked at, Desmond had a much more colourful life than the few bits and anecdotes that we all know of. I hope you’ll give these episodes a listen and then I hope you’ll listen to some of his…

“His biggest debt is that [Lorraine] gives him his only sense of belonging, as far as you can tell from the script and the story. Danish has no life outside of serving Lorraine. He has no family, no friends. The only person he interacts with is Lorraine. He has a desire to be part of her family, which she doesn’t seem to have any desire to be a part of…”
